Follower of Christ

Here's a story of a man
Who fought many battles of the mind
He made one mistake
And started to fall behind
Wounds of the soul took physical form
Unusual wounds not of the norm
Slashes on his arm, his shirt is torn
Blood on his face, his jeans are worn
He walks alone and looks to the sky
He falls to his knees, and cries out why
A voice calls out "Remember Me" it said
Next thing he knows he's up in his bed
His wounds scarred over, his shirt still torn
Blood on his face dried, his jeans still worn
A scar of a cross has formed on his arm
A divine intervention has saved him from harm
This man in the story is me
My heart and soul for all to see
If you feel your life's in a bind
Here are some words to keep in mind
"Substisto Fidelous Utlilitas Terminous"
No matter how much your life will break and bind
"Remain Faithful Until the Very End!"

Never Be a Follower

never be a follower
of others but instead
by a follower of your
own heart´s desires
creating your own rules
for personal success
never allowing others to
diminish your self worth
only you can judge you
accurately no one else can
no one else knows you the way
that you know yourself

Portrait of a Leader and a Follower

Bound by my hands,
And fastened to a chair,
You say, “We’re friends.”
You say, “Stay there.”

Sunlight blinds my eyes.
Through the open window,
I hear cries.
You say, “I hear nothing.”

You shut the shade
And tape my eyelids
Open, while a movie plays
On a large, wide, white screen.

You say, “This is reality.”
I try to blink, but can’t.
You walk away and leave me there.
I cry, scream, and stare.

The Cup-Bearer's Thoughts

I serve with my heart, all
Your mountain must not fall
We meet servant and master
To run forward the faster

Your goal clearly defined
Mine too more refined
Leader and follower united now
To testify of forgiveness, the how

Why this unlikely pair?
Cause of a God just and fair
I serve before kings
Who drink of your wisdom things

I was a vessel empty, then
Now filled with your ken
They drink it in very slowly
The cupbearer thought he was most lowly

Follower - Revised

I was a follower
A coward,

Just trying to fit in
In this busy, busy empire

Then I met a person,
who believed she had it all
not in the bad way, as you would suppose

She gave me some advice,
Can you guess what it was?

Simple and plain,
Just powerful enough:

She said if you hold your head up high
But not so far
That your nose is in the sky...

If you're proud of what you acquire,
Your confidence shoots higher

If you speak up, voice your opinion,
Let people know that you’re not just another minion...

If you be who you want to,
And forget the people who say it’s not you...

And if you are kind to others,
Especially your mother

YOU are a leader.
You ARE a leader.
You are a LEADER.

If you stand up for the people that you may not even know
Tell that ignorant harasser just to get up and go

If you know where you should be,
There’s a whole lot you can see

If others think you're worth nothing,
Show them they’re wrong by saying

“You're wasting your time by trying to waste mine!”
And just walk away

Make sure to tell them
That

You’re a leader,
But what are they?

Follower

"Will someone please answer!"
I scream and I Shout,
I'm trapped in this hole
And there is no way out!

Will someone, anyone find me?
I'm stuck in the abyss.....
who ever said that ignorance was bliss?

Never seen sunlight, nor moon in the sky.
All I can do is lay here and die.
Stay in this hole like a bird in a cage.
Lie here and rot till the end of my days.

I live a life of hopes and dreams,
But they all end in dying screams.
The sun shies behind my perfect cloud,
Stuck in the shade, lost in the drought...

When memory is gone and faded away,
You can bet on me being here to stay.
No matter how many times I try to leave,
I always fall without feeling the breeze.

One good thing has come of my stay,
I know this hell is my private getaway.
Straying away from the troubles at hand,
The hole has become my promised land.

I lived a life of hopes and dreams,
But they all ended in dying screams.
The sun shone behind my perfect cloud,
What I wouldn't give to be there now.

The next time you see me,
I'll be in real deep.
The sky will be dark,
And i'll look like a freak.

What more can you want from me?
I've only ever done what you've asked.
Now because you were my guide,
My future has become your past.

I want a life of hopes and dreams,
Don't care if they end in dying screams.
The sun may shine behind my perfect cloud,
But at least i would know it was there.........

One Follower At a Time, Part Iii

...One night when he was compiling
a list of wisdom that the prophet said,
he heard, in the darkness, his name spoken,
in a harried voice that would frighten the dead.

He turned, and from the shadows out stepped
Kel’vid the mason, sire of Dehlarain,
in one hand he held a long dagger,
on his face were the tight lines of pain.

He advanced slowly, not speaking a word,
Pelchag cried out,”I’m a servant of God!
Your daughter faced the justice that she earned,
she had broken our great prophet’s law!”

Kel’vid just froze, stared pure hate at him,
then spoke in a dark and gravelly tongue:
“No man of god would murder a woman
because she acted stupid, young, and dumb.

“At first I didn’t mind the new faith,
it seemed that it could clean up a few things,
but then you take away our alcohol,
and I noticed that things got disturbing.

“And then you steal music from all of us,
what kind of God would frown at such joy?
But still I was willing to put up with it,
even though it grated and annoyed.

“But to go and kill a man’s daughter…
all because of your damn jealousy!
You already had two whores in your bed,
but you just had to go out and get three!

“And now you lie and claim it was all God’s will,
that you just obey his ‘holy prophet,’
perhaps Gods will send a prophet someday,
nut it’s quite clear that he hasn’t yet.

“The old faith may have been rather corrupt,
but at least it stuck to its damned place!
Didn’t insert itself into a man’s home,
didn’t murder their daughters with hate.”

He then bent closed and whispered these words,
mere moments before the cleric did die,
“Know that I’m going to kill the prophet,
one follower at a time.”

Premium Member A Leader Can Never Be a Stolid Follower

A leader is, of course, solid not a blind follower
A leader is a true, real, genuine and patient analyzer
A leader usually leads the pack or the caucus
Follows common sense, the rules and laws of nature
Comprehends the consequences of having a failed procedure
The full process of achieving positive results at the terminus
After everything is laid, said and done, when nada is left?
A real leader has broad shoulders to withstand the storms
A brave man fears nothing, no man or woman on the left
Or on the right. A leader follows the principles, the norms
And the logic of things. Few men or women are natural leaders
Even if they were haphazardly elected or selected as such
Real leaders are occasionally as calm as hunting tigers
A genuine leader will fight for what is proper, not for the mulch
Which can be found in countless stores. A leader is strong
Bright, brave and humble. A leader admits when he is wrong
In our current unusual environment, men and women can lead
Effectively, since and hence the world has many mouths to feed.

Falsity

Fittingly hallowed gods must intrinsic majesty hold.
Even before deities invoked weigh the caller's case,
The deity's potent title should alone spell the balm,
And tint with nourishing grace the supplicant's face.

Woe justly betides gods modelled by mortal skill,
Conjured to define the worshiper's creative spans.
True deity outdoes their adherent's most avid drill,
And defeats most faithful admirers' keenest scans.

If while engaged they varied ethereal trends display,
But when left alone they silent and unbothered stay;
You already got there a freaking raw deal indeed:
You're the mighty guy your own-made gods need!

The worshiped must by heart the worshiper know,
And both will ever commune as if by infallible law.
It’s the supreme being mightily seeking the follower,
Who grasps it well and submits to the bigger power.

It’s a fake god if it bends to suit whimsical desire,
Or at once plays into your infinite imaginative fire!

Faith of a Follower

Pondering, to ponder to much usually results in idle hands
Why question things so many times
Why can’t we as humans accept that we are here by accident
I would doubt if a magical man in a robe sprinkled fairy dust
!Poof! Let there be light!
Six degrees of separation connect us all, so they say
Well if we were 1 degree closer to the sun….
Would we maybe have 3 eyes? Maybe a life with no despise?
Forget about it….
Again stop your torture of trying to find answers and just be
Pretty soon we all die, so why worry about uncontrollable things
If it helps to create magic in our minds to ease our minds of death
Lets create other magical items….
How about a pink fairy that takes pain away when loved ones die
What about the angel of light to submit to when we coincide
How about a Looney Tune called bugs bunny to pray to,
At least we can see him
Put your faith in what you can see…
Put your faith in nothing….
And be…

He stalks through the dark streets and lanes
looking, searching for a victim
seeing a likely women he follows
for days he watches her routine

Once satisfied he makes his plans
then sets aside all he will need
tomorrow is when he will act
he takes pleasure thinking on it

The following night he is there
goes to the door rings her bell
she opens it and is surprised
quickly he ushers her inside

Shaking in terror, do not hurt me
is the tearful plea, she stutters
no my dear you have it all wrong
I was tasked to check you out

You see you are now an heiress
your grandfather leaves a fortune
to who fills his will conditions
I am pleased to say you do

Now all you need to do is sign here
and all his possessions are yours
with a squeal she gave him a hug
her saviour from drudgery
