Flooded

Rain tumbling down
Floods threaten driving today
Boats get us there best

Flooded

rain fell from her eyes
no one was there to catch them--
so she drowned her heart

Premium Member Venice Is Flooded

So let me get this strange phenomenon right
The city of canals, Venice, is flooded, quite a sight
Locals can't believe
Hard to conceive
Mother Nature sure can give Venetians a fright

Braced to fight tough for triumph
         Stockpiled testosterone
         Fizzed bicarb in her bloodstream
         Sucked bitterness alone

         Flooded home, battle surmounted
         Safeguard marshy roost
         Maladvised maveric trudged pond
         Stacking bags of no use

         Swirling water swarmed by spiders
         Fear erased from register
         Starless, deserted street industrial
         Duty lead dim endeavour

         Depth defiantly rejected her efforts
         Scream's echoing ignorant
         Yelled "help" at selected emptiness
         Six months pregnant Sigrid

         Fortfied ego, throat sore, exhausted
         Dry in her fortress upstairs
         Concede agitated bruises encumber
         Defences laid dull despairs

          Dependence is not defeat

Flooded Love

Have lost his hands grip
Pa broke down as my hand slipped
I heard him crying my name
Now our lives can’t be the same

Free falling into the enveloping black
Beyond the edge of time I’d lost my track
Then I crashed into the ferocious waters
Carried away and further, my breath became shorter

I gave in, sinking into deep like a small stone
In the dead silence I wasn't alone
There was someone holding up light
Guiding us, leading us right

I no longer spun, I no longer rolled
Laying my faith in Him I followed without a hold

Crossing a gateway towards a second realm
A thousand soul's gleam
Came out of the stream
And out, into the night of dreams

Upward we rose
Higher and close
To a sky that bore
A million stars.

Here is where I now reside
But like his shadow I am by pa's side

He is safe back home
Feels tired and alone

But God's caring and kind
And I am not left behind
Difficult it is this way
But I am not far away

Clouded or crowded may be the sky
But do look up and care to smile
Because right here I am closer than you think
A glinting star at night
And in Sun silhouetted right behind

Flooded Thoughts

This Endless Torrent
Drowning In unspoken Truth
Thoughts flowing wildly

A Flooded Mind

Like a ripple on the water
Caused by casting stones
Yes we'll have our share of highs and lows
But then again who don't

The intent is more than physical
From the hand in which it's thrown
It the roughness of lifes waters
That makes our love so strong

A flooded mind remembers
All the pain held from its past
Like an ocean deep and endless
It's where our thoughts have all been cast
Just how long will it last

Till another comes along
And pours their love inside
What's missed is sometimes overlooked
Because of foolish pride

When the worry of what was
Was Replaced by the what could be
Now my emotions flow like teardrops
And they rage relentlessly

A flooded mind holds the truth
Floating deep with it inside
It's the murkiness of feelings
The abyss and then the tides

So go on and search the seas
But you'll return without a doubt
Cause the tides will surely calm down
And the roughness will smooth out

Now pour your love on me
And let's walk across lifes sands
May the ripples be the teardrops
Caused by happiness

FLOODED CLOSET

flooded closet,
got your attention?
washer; and dryer
sent to the dungeon, well
the garage. not our fault.
phone call received in ninety-three,
wouldn’t insure us —
the flood, you know…
have you guessed?
previous occupants.
of course a bit of common sense
supported us.

closet contains lots of shelves,
you can climb
to reach
the attic space,
but a few years back
we built a stairway to the stars.

closets filled with candles —
gifts that give and give
and give off light
used once or twice,
and flashlights,
big and small
and an incense burner
from my son —
he’s an odd gift giver.

a few family games for occasions
requiring members who love to play games —
I do! I do!
but most don’t feel the same.

that old floors cluttered,
not with clothes (how
nice that would have been —
oh the convenience!)
but with a vacuum, stoneware,
cleaning supplies.

I wanted to unclutter,
but is it only a reshuffle?
At least the floor —
I might score a clean in that department,
still i must dust, dust
dust, “achooooo…”

i must wash hands many
many many times
through the process
(one time I encountered dust
and broke out in a rash —
scritch, scratch, scratch)

I just might
get this job
done -
stay tuned.

i expect your yawn
and your finger violin,
“my heart bleeds for you.”

it must get done
then i will move on
to my wardrobe...ahem,
won’t go into that.

A Torrential Flooded Sin Leaked Dam

It's nice to know faith in Christ forever flourishes in everyday life and inspires
itself to poetry.
Today's televised news can be very depressing to view...
Turning to Christ the Lord, are not enough people, too, too few.
More people of today are starting to climb aboard Jesus Christ's
rescue boat,
So that many more believing followers can spread His word
To add to the boarding list, of those so saved.
Men and women don't need to drown in their own misinformed
sinfull lives.
God and His saviored son will return to toss to man a spiritualed,
loving, much needed life-saver, bouied float,
from a torrential flooded sin leaked dam.

Flooded Grass

like vultures and yet
like pigeons on the vine you made for thee
the branches crack over the open fire

yet, how to thee
i relinquish all thought
i can't stand on my own two feet without help
like locusts you feed on my cadaver
don't speak yet
i speak alone in whisper

tines strike threw my night
the sky blinded
by only the illusion of despair
don't regret to walk
take your time

A Flooded Heart

My love
you deserve the very best
that life has to offer you
often times I can't even begin to tell you
how much I love you
I imagine your bold
brilliant and beautiful-face
before you came into my life
the beauty I see is far beyond
your outward appearance
I see inside your heart
as I gaze into your eyes,
my love I see the beauty of your strength
when I look at you my heart is overjoyed
I am happy because I know that you
have the potential for greatness
to change this world
and make it a better place
to reach your destiny
even through the pains and pitfalls of life
I know you will always reach your fullest potential
so I don't worry about you
I know that you will take hold of that inner
strength which compels you to stand up and be strong
I only want the best for you
I don't have fame
glory, or riches
but I do have something more precious than
money could ever buy
I give you my legacy of love
my faith, my hope
and I give you my heart
I am proud of the man I married
and the principle of which you've embraced
know that there isn't anything that you
can't achieve
you can conquer any battle
withstand any storm
and soar above any mountain
I love you my love
and remember my heart is flooded
with love for you

A song launched with the tap of a key?
Chat GPT that’s the new thing;
The radio got flooded
we really could not tell;
Who needs musicians
to shred six strings?
Anyone
can do
it.

Blind Trust

I grabbed your hands to avoid sinking,
I held it firm so that you would help me raise.
Little did I realise I was repeating my mistake of blind trust.
Dear, my trust was already faded,
And now it you completely erased it away.
Now my mind is blank,
And my heart has lost it's power of trusting back.
I shared my melancholy with you like a daydream,
And you turned them as nightmares for me.
I don't wish anyone to gain my trust,
Because I had trusted you and that was enough.
Now my heart and mind is shattered to this extend,
That I think sinking was the best option for me .
Should have avoided raising and experiencing ,
The same painful dipping down.
I mind is flooded with your envious act,
You just caught me in your webbed trap.
Now I find myself entangled .
I opened myself up infornt of you,
You didn't just squeeze my heart
But touched my naked soul.
My soul had started preparing it's antidote,
With your support,
But your unfamiliar touch turned them to venom.

Flooded memories

The clouds cried
The thunder screamed
A teardrop of her memory
And a flood arrived
