Best Floats Poems
Floating beauty, she glides across the lake.
Her gown flutters in the wind with each stride.
It feels like a dream but I am awake.
This vision comes to me on gentle tide.
I take her hand as she steps on the shore.
She says, "I'm yours to do with as you please."
"What you dream of, I can promise much more!"
Her gown drops and blows away on the breeze.
Gentle curves beckon for me to explore.
Her skin pale white welcomes lustful caress.
I give and give and still she begs for more!
Power beyond my own I must confess.
For I am nothing but a mortal man!
Power flowing from a secret hot place.
To gain human seed was part of her plan.
Looking content she leaves without a trace.
For Georgio's Iambic verse contest.
I am not well experienced with this form but thought I would try.

She floats like a message in a bottle
on a massive ocean of crystal blue waves
towards a horizon she never reaches.

Narrative
No one knows what
The dust that floats in the daylight is
Small specks of dirt I'm told
Or bits of flowers, or skin, or mold.
I, of differing opinion, am
Concerned myself with its essence
The dust that floats in the daylight
Are naught but lit old souls
A special pair of eyes and
The dust that floats in the daylight
Can see against the shine
Memories, pain, laughter and wine.
Hitherto unknown
True tales dance and silent din
The dust that floats in the daylight
Is the great work of our kind.

Light falls amongst light, not a shadow's might
blown past chill of day with tepid winds
graceful as a feather floats
down in silence
beheld nearer a beauty rests
before bent visions
held in check from sultry seas
breaking where fragrance parts
It dwells in storied touch
lain across ancient ways but
still held taught
when sumptuous lips unite
and stagnant thoughts float free
as if the feather in the wind
was once again
with me

Of fire and colors a cosmic dimension is reflected
by your heart flame of polished silver
The stars shine sharply, sweet thoughts in a dream
Which travel through the vast heaven
Like the river flows safely to the sea
Why is the sea salty - perhaps tears of grief, loss and longing
These are the thoughts that fill my sleepless nights
If the dreams drift away, my passion will die

peace floats on high winds

Frail hearts’ bond fractures
Hope’s glacier slips ‘neath cold sea
Chilled memories drift away
Frozen dreams sever
Forever vows abandoned
Titanic phenomenon
Healing ebbs and flows
Suicidal solitude
Hope struggles, floats to surface
Yes, the sun still shines
Hold close faith’s life preserver
Live to welcome love again

Life is like an ocean
And a dreamer is like the ship that floats on it
Dreams are built out of lack and limitations
Such are the salty waters on which you must float
Ocean water is too salty to drink
Yet on it the boat floats best
Your dreams are like fresh water
...with the potential to quench your thirst and satisfy your heart
So as a dreamer you need not drink the salty water
....that is the society’s opinions
The same ocean that floats a mighty boat
...is known to drown many more
But a boat only drowns when the ocean water leaks into it
You are like a boat
...surrounded by the endless stretch of ocean called SOCIETY
On this ocean you should float
...but if you allow this ocean’s water to slowly leak into the boat of your dreams
...the world is sure to mourn the loss of yet another fine boat

Waiting for the day love floats my way
Hoping for one that is here to play
So many gone by in the past
The further it seems I have to cast
Looking for love that won't surpass
One that can fly without having to crash
Giving it my all
Really wanting to hear the right call
Taking my time being sure not to fall
tearing down this massive wall
That has things coming to a crawl
I'm in it for the long haul
Breaking through this windfall
Plunging forward wanting to recall
A love that stands ten feet tall
One that leads straight for fun
That won't make us feel under the gun
Something beautiful that feels like we have won
Our eyes wide open
Making sure I am scoping
All the opportunities that I have awoken
Hoping the next lady can see
How much my love flows free
That will help us define
A love that will fall right in time
One that I can keep as all mine
A woman who is kind that wants to find
That thrill that makes time stand still
Making us both feel like this is the real deal
Love that brings stars to our eyes
That looks like a beautiful sunrise

We big spending
Humans
Are way
Too technology
Existent.
Vexed by the simpler,
Early lifestyles of our ancestors;
Remember that there is a cheaper way to do everything.
For instance,
Look
Over
At
The Amish
Sects.
Year after year, they survive
On the ways of nature;
United by their beliefs;
Rare though, they may be.
By living
Only by the simplest methods,
Are they
Thriving, successfully.

Faith serves as ballast
anchoring my calmest self -
stress loves to perturb my still.
Faith holes make punctures
leaving me to drown at sea -
stress floats to watch me drown.

Do you ever lie down in grass and gaze,
pretend no duties call and let mind float,
play which knight wins the furious battle
somewhere in the wisps above daylong haze?
A lizard morphs into war time schooner.
Raise those sails! Ready the scope! Man the wheel!
Take a journey crossing perilous seas--
with dragons rising from deep and horror
creatures lurch from Sargasso and bare teeth.
It fades before the appearance of Fido.
Floppy ears turn pointy mouse or scholar.
Few adventures require battles that seeth.
Mind or heat can equally turn so tragic
or fun filled when elves spiral down slides
or angels hop cloud to cloud, bring fire
to sky ablaze with pink, gold, pelagic
and hope rests in rising billow's spark
lightning, rainfall, nourish of tomorrow.
Dream is a need we must cause to flower--
decorate minds and our chummy wood ark.
So tell me truly, tell well what anew beams
think hearty, think faulty but do reveal
do you ever lie down in grass, gaze, for
on a passing cloud there floats brave new dreams.
