Beauty Floats

Floating beauty, she glides across the lake.
Her gown flutters in the wind with each stride.
It feels like a dream but I am awake.
This vision comes to me on gentle tide.

I take her hand as she steps on the shore.
She says, "I'm yours to do with as you please."
"What you dream of, I can promise much more!"
Her gown drops and blows away on the breeze.

Gentle curves beckon for me to explore.
Her skin pale white welcomes lustful caress.
I give and give and still she begs for more!
Power beyond my own I must confess.

For I am nothing but a mortal man!
Power flowing from a secret hot place.
To gain human seed was part of her plan.
Looking content she leaves without a trace.

For Georgio's Iambic verse contest.
I am not well experienced with this form but thought I would try.

Very seductive. All the imagery in the first three stanza's painted a nice moonlit scene. But in the end it almost seems like she was some kinda demon, perhaps?? Like getting a kiss in the middle of the night from a stranger.... then going away back into the lake. I don't know if that's an odd interpretation or not, but that's what I got from it. I've never tried Iambic Pentameter... I have a difficult time detecting what's a stressed syllable or not.

Excellent. I have entered a couple of these and they always make me change so much that it ends up feeling like it is someone elses poem so I tend to stay away from them when I figured this part of it out. I have a lot to learn about it, but don't like my poems to be completely taken apart. I enjoyed yours God bless you and happy writing. Love and prayers, Gina

You haven't written sensual in a long time, Richard. Liquid Dreams had competition now. That was one of my favourites. I've missed this side of you. Great write.
