Ballast

Faith serves as ballast anchoring my calmest self - stress loves to perturb my still. Faith holes make punctures leaving me to drown at sea - stress floats to watch me drown.

Such striking imagery of the anchor of faith, I also like the complexity of the struggle, congratulations on placing in the contest!

CayCay, such imagination went into this. A short write but so much depth. I too think of the sea as a vivid metaphor of faith. Well done, my friend, and congratulations on your win! Happy Easter and do stay safe. Hugs ~ John
