Echoes

The echo of the echo
In the minds of you and I,
It tells our lips to tell it,
It flies to make us fly.

The glory of the glory
That enrings our eyes like spring,
It lifts us in its vision
To wing and dance and sing.

The echo of the echo
Then replays again, remains,
Reverberating verbals
That rain and kiss and reign.

The glory of the glory
That is me and you, and we,
It soars in every story
That leaps into "agree"!

It dances up the hollows
Of our lungs and mouths and arms
Till world in world is whirled
And charms are meeting charms.

It touches lips with brushes,
Becomes a firmer sum;
Our inner lust of winning
Is one and whole and won.

The echo of the echo,
Oh, it will not die or go,
But ever be an echo
To show, and tell, and show.

The Fresh Blooding of a Sexton Grin

"The Fresh Blooding of a Sexton Grin"

Guns ...

are for p*ssies
you know, short for
pussilanimous plural

Words …

are sharper
more cutting
more lethal

clean
concise
quill slicing the lucid flow

you can taste the blood
as you turn them
twist them further in

with valour
war cry bitten
you drive them deeper in

you unsheathe love
as a hard win,
victorious, won

ink blooms
potent power from
your stellar wounds

darkened roads
shining home
lux vitae dei vox

Home ...

morning star
quod scripsi scripsi
turns the light on

to birth puissant
in the majestic
seat of third eye

commanding
the truest titulus
initials glowing

arriving on cloudy tomes
perilously igniting
new fiery caims

swallowing
ouroboros tales
hear the battle cry

you were built
to withstand the fall
to more mighty again rise

the gauntlet
now well
and truly thrown

something
more darkly formidable
than shady insult sown

sink your new teeth in
fresh biting warrior
I christen you Boadicea

blood cup possessed
razor mind in you conjuring
the tongues of hearts to speak

there is no escape
for in you, I am and
I will always live

crucifying
all the wasting yesterdays
with fresh blooded promissory notes

staking claims of assurance
in the terror firmer
here to stay

sharpening
words taken
from a stone

n'ere a flowery
verbose drip
wasted

salting
the new cuts
to feel something vital

smiling within
fresh blooding
the Sexton grin

Choose To Be

Written on: 4th and 5th April 2012.
by : sashi.prabhu

The beaten path seems sinewy lean but somnolently long,
In my life’s journey, forgot to whiff sweet fragrance flowers beside these paths as I walked along.
But I have reconciled and solemnly pledge not to ever repent,
nor Cry or weep over my life’s time aimlessly spent

Will strive tirelessly to work on creative pursuits,
To those conniving rascals standing beside my life’s pathway care two hoots.
On my gifts talents and skills focus and resolve,
My heart and mind deeply involve and take myself to the next level and I profoundly evolve.

Life it has begun to seem to me now very much brighter,
My body, mind and heart they all feel joyous nimble and lighter.
Have changed myself like the astute breeze,
Harmoniously and with simplicity have begun to live my life with ease.

Now, I seek inward courage to emphatically say,
Looking into their mind’s eyes “please make way”.
I have got stuff to do and keep life’s somber and sepulchral processes at bay,
My desire now to change is ever firmer than my wish the same to stay.

Now I have made up my mind to let them know the truth,
I really would not bother if I shatter their “illusions” and sound terribly uncouth………….
I am not what happens to me
I am what I choose to be…
I am me………

M FOR ME

Every stomach should be bounteous with food.
Acceptance should be ingrained and subdued.
With terrorism demise, may Humanity prevail?
Embrace peace through embracing humanity tale.
To prevent skirmish, refrain from criticizing people.
A firmer grasp of one another's emphases feeble.

We are wholly identical, as the stars are plenty.
Every one of us is a word of God's adoration subtly.
The leading light sustains a quieting impact on stream.
A stirring fire saturated with affection haunt a dream.
There will be no conflicts and there will be harmony.
Faith in self-denial and the ascent of antagonism utterly

God fills us with serenity in a variety of ways.
His affection lights our nights and plugs our days.
Realizing my loved ones are fine and protected.
Thankfulness and kindness overflow in the blood.
A profound inner calm that no one can charter away.
Even mankind's hope is clung alive the deep way.

"Being alone with Spirit lifts souls with gifts of joy for hearts and light for eyes." Poet

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whether I am embracing joy or buried in strife,
Your presence has been clear to me all of my life.
Through all years, I have sought to feel You even more
so truth continuously cements firmer within my core.
Your closeness - my awareness ~ I live zealously breathless
Whenever I need and seek precious time alone with You,
I close my eyes so all of the world leaves my view.
Focusing on a tiny white spot grows an ethereal light.
I see and feel vibrations pulsed exquisitely bright.
Your closeness - my awareness ~ I live zealously breathless
Within my chest palpitates a genuine, stupendous high
unlike any intoxication to be felt on earth's side of sky.
It is no longer air that I breathe, but Your glory I inhale.
You lovingly wrap me serene in glimpses of divine detail.
Your closeness - my awareness ~ I live zealously breathless
Premium Member Immortal Light
Almost, almost, my light went out with yours.
My spirit comatose, could it still live?
Our God was there and touched and found a spark.
He showed me I had yet a bit to give.
Reluctantly, I stirred and took His hand.
He gently lifted me to firmer ground.
With His help now, I seek to find the way
To set you free, your spirit homeward bound.
I longed to keep you here with me, always,
But God had plans that were no part of mine.
Your light was strong enought to linger still,
God's breath has given it immortal shine.
Each night I search the sky for that new star,
He promised He would show me from afar.
Premium Member I See Your Face In the Ocean
From this rocky height
In the morning light,
Everything I see
Reminds me of Your love;
Seagulls, as they cry
Like the angels fly
By the restless sea
Or in the skies above.
Waves crash far below,
Droplets fall like snow;
Everywhere I look
Reminds me of Your grace:
Colors bloom and fade,
Everything You've made
Like an open book
Reveals Your hidden face.
Brighter than the sun,
Deeper than the sea;
You're the only One
That means the world to me:
Stronger than the waves,
Firmer than this stone;
You're the One who saves,
Lord, You, and You alone.
Higher than the sky,
Far spread as the winds;
Lord, You chose to die
To save me from my sins:
Faithful as the tide
And the break of day;
Always by my side,
Remain there, Lord, I pray.
BOTOX BRIGADE
Oh so numb, I can’t stop myself drooling,
Can’t feel my brows, touch them, one is drooping,
My lips I feel are massively huge and swollen,
I should have realized that this was a bad omen.
My cheeks are sore, injected frequently,
Obsessed by the media talk increasingly,
I dare not put lipstick on, for I’ll look like a clown,
I stare at the mirror in horror, I have no frown.
For boobs I requested a size thirty six
Simply wanted to be one of the chicks,
But the surgeon had extra silicone,
Even the so famous Dolly I outshone!
A nip and a tuck were done on my tummy,
Which I inherited after becoming a mummy,
And after the final touch of a firmer bum
I looked like new, a different me I had become.
I knew I was in fact addicted,
This was to me often predicted,
Developed scars, no recognizable features,
Too late, now one of many Botox cheaters.
AFTER HAVING SEEN A DOUMENTARTY ABOUT OBSESSIVE PLASTIC SURGERY
I'M On My Way
I broke my ties at seventeen,trying to find myself a life:
Sold my bike for sixty-five dollars,bought a ticket for a ride.
I was headed out to Oregon,on that crisp and frosty day.
I was living free..... I'm on my way!
We hit weather back in Idaho,the roads were iced and slick,
As we drove into a mountain pass,the snow was three feet thick:
the wind kept blowing us back and forth, the bus began to sway,
It's a long way down......I'm on my way!
The day God sent His angles,to carry me away:
to place my feet on firmer ground,to keep my body safe:
the day God sent His angles,to carry me away:
and to keep me safe....I'm on my way
As the wind would push against us,the bus would slide away,
closer to that mountain Clift,I clasped my hands to pray!
We were all about to lose our lives,we couldn't run away:
and I felt at peace....I'm on my way!
The day God sent His angels,to carry me away:
To place my feet on firmer ground,to keep my body safe:
the day God sent His angels,to show me the way,
And He's kept me safe....Along the way,
Mountain of Mango Ice-Cream
Mountain Of Mango Ice-Cream
It seems ages since we were young and untamed, enjoying rural pleasures
Summers were long and mango ice-cream sessions a ritual in the evenings
A thin custard was made of fresh buffalo milk and mango pulp was added
A thin mango custard mother made which was cooled and poured in
A cylindrical container with a churner and she fixed it in a half wooden barrel
Dad hammered large ice blocks and we excitedly added handfuls of rock salt
Turn by turn we rotated the iron handle atop till hands tired as it became firmer
Mom knew exactly when it was done and sometimes she said a little more
We had our huge steel glasses to binge upon but envied the one who rotated more
The central rectangular churner that gathered the most to slurp upon was his
It was like a mountain of mango ice-cream before us and we never tired of it
We got many scoops piled over our glass brims which were spooned off magically
The mango ice-cream aroma was everywhere as we joked and sat around till late night
Sadly the mango ice-cream doesn't taste the same, it has lost its rural familial flavour
Premium Member Faith
What do you want me to write?
I think I will write about faith
What is faith?
Is it something you can see
can grab, can hang onto?
Yes, yes, and yes
You can see in someone though not visually, with your spirit eyes
You can feel in someone though not spoken
You can attach and reattach
You can detach and be attacked
Either way it works for you and not against you
It lifts you out of the bound and sets you on a firmer ground
It heals your senses, body, and anything it touches
It removes doubt, fear, oppression, and things not called for
It calls into being what is not spoken
It determines our fate through words that are spoken
It affirms our senses, values, ownership through its grandeur
It moves mountains, blockage, obstruction
It brings one to one's knees in a moment of desperation, brokenness
It catapults one to one's spiritual height
It remains with one through one's deepest sorrows
What can it do?
It can do a lot
Whatever one wants it to do, it will do
Because He will do
Because faith is God
And God is faith
Can't separate one from another
God meant for us to have faith
And have faith plenty
Have faith in everything
Because "faith is the assurance of things hoped for
the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11-1)
"And without faith, it is impossible to please God" (Hebrews 11:6)
"For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Because we need to "fight the good fight of faith" (1 Timothy 6:12)
Because faith is a gift
Premium Member The Senses of Scripture
According to an ancient tradition
One can distinguish between two senses of Scripture
The literal and spiritual
The latter being subdivided into
Allegorical
Moral and
Anagogical senses
The profound concordance of the four senses
Guarantees all its richness to the living reading of Scripture in the Church
The literal sense is the meaning conveyed by the words of Scripture
And discovered byexegesis
Following the rules of sound interpretation
All other senses of Sacred Scripture are based on the literal
The spiritual sense
Thanks to the unity of Eternal God’s plan
Not only the text of Scripture
But also the realities and
Events
About which it speaks can be signs
The allegorical sense
We can acquire a more profound understanding of events
By recognizing the significance in Father Christ
Thus the crossing of the Red sea
Is a sign or type of Father Christ’s victory
And also of Christian baptism
The moral sense
Events reported in Scripture ought  to lead us justly
As St. Paul says
They were written for our instruction
The anagogical sense
We can view realities and
Events in terms of their eternal significance
Leading us toward our true homeland
Thus the Church on earth is a sign of the heavenly Jerusalem
A medieval couplet summarizes the  significance of the four senses
The letter speaks of deeds; Allegory to faith
The moral how to act; Anagogy our destiny
It is the task of exegetes to work
According to these rules
Toward a better understanding and
Explanation of the meaning of Sacred Scripture
In order that their research may help the Church to form firmer judgment
Pathos-Bathos
These tears work well their Machiavellian craft.
They blur my vision, clog my nostrils
like a vice, constrict my voice and finally
confound my countenance,
debauch my dignity,
I'll have no more of them!
This faithless wash is ended
with a firmer grasp upon a solid staff
of reason, my defense
when sentiment and tenderness assail
the fortress of my heart.
In all the years remaining
shall I then create a fortitude
contemptuous of fears, and no regret?
Will I ever understand again
the meaning of humanity.
the truth implicit in the arts?
And, will I never see the stars at noon,
or capture in my chest that rush
of aching splendor that a smiling child imparts?
And with my intellect, and on my cheek, I know.
Premium Member Halibut
I’m not a fan of seafood but don’t mind
a tuna salad or fried fish with fries.
In England, that’s called fish ‘n’ chips. I find
the same name used on menus here. My eyes
spy that title easily. I am awed.
By a nice huge serving of fish ‘n’ chips.
The fish is likely halibut or cod,
but the one that passes through my lips
most often is halibut (a flatfish).
It’s firmer – more substantial – than cod is.
However, it costs more than cod. I wish
it wasn’t so dang expensive. Gee whiz!
“Just for the halibut” I ask for it!
But that's no whim; I like it quite a bit.
