Premium Member Fascinating Shapes

Clouds form fascinating shapes in the sky,
like shapeshifters on a sea of blue:
and I love to watch them go traipsing by.

Some seem magical; that's hard to deny:
for as they silently slip into view,
clouds form fascinating shapes in the sky,

Misty fantasies, clouds seem so nearby;
sculpted in shades of white with a beige hue:
and I love to watch them go traipsing by.

Mobile sculptures and a treat for the eye,
as their misty forms get reborn anew:
clouds form fascinating shapes in the sky.

Beyond mesmerizing, they beautify,
like a flotilla of dreams sailing through:
and I love to watch them go traipsing by.

An armada of skiffs, afloat on high,
ordinary, morphs into something new.
Clouds form fascinating shapes in the sky,
and I love to watch them go traipsing by.

Fascinating Women

Strangers being bound by word
Strange place they met
Though rivers separate them
They are not separate from each other
Hurt no longer a consuming feel
But a feel that hurts to not consume
Their love for me - rudimentary
Like sponges they derive strength from each other
Like sponges they keep sipping each other’s worries
SWV – Sisters with virtues
Virtues venerable
SWV – Sisters with voices
Voices that calm, sooth and encourage
Strangers they are
Yet their love is not strange
Grateful for a fascinating woman
Astounded by how fascinating you women are
Stagnant we shan’t remain
We shall grow together
Strange isn’t it?
How a stranger can make your life upside up
Soaring to greater altitudes
The sky isn’t the limit
How can it be? When we have footprints on the moon

The Most Fascinating Person I Never Knew

Sitting in your hospital room all in white,
I remember your face for what would be the last time,
the tears fell down your face,
from the passing of your daughter that day.

I remember your tears of not understanding why,
I remember you questioned God after all those times,
when you prayed throughout your life in endless dedication,
to finally on this day have someone taken from you without your permission.

Looking back today I wish I would have fulfilled that promise to you,
to be there every day and read the bible to you through and through,
but, yesterday is bittersweet, only memories remain,
you were my aunt who I knew, but never did, it's just not the same.

You were a person around me my whole life, yet I barely got to know
your smile is all I am left with, your laugh just my stepping stone,
to the person I wish I could be,
someone who loved me endlessly, yet knowing you is now a distant memory.

Your passion for life, the people you helped,
those are just some of the attributes I wish I had myself,
your gray hair that used to hit your tired wrinkled face,
is now resting in the arms of Christ, the best embrace.

My Heartfelt Thanks To a Fascinating Person I Did Not Know Contest

Was in1967 that this wonderful man
Performed an operation that no one else can.

Because of this man my heart can be healed
My undying gratitude is surely signed and sealed.

His work has helped  hundreds of sufferers
To  lead a near normal life  of many years.

To this man I raise my glass, been thinking very hard
How do you say thank you, to Dr Christian Barnard.

Your expertise has been shown and taught in distant parts
Now surgeons  have the knowledge to mend such broken hearts .

When he retired from this work his planned to end his days
Living in Austria to wind down, relax and golf to play

Whilst on holiday in Paphos after he had retired
Died at the poolside  of a heart attack, a good life expired.

Dedicated to Dr Christian Barnard, the man whom in South Africa  carried out the first human  to human heart transplant..

Lifes Brief But Fascinating

LIFES BRIEF BUT FASCINATING.
I was in need of sweet potatoes and
Rich tomatoes,
I visited the market square.
So many people with different
Scents.
Tents all over, in different
Paints.
Goods are purchased in sets.
You must pay before collect.
I noticed, despite the crowd
There’s convience
Quantity of goods still at
Large lengths.
Mans wants has no rest,
With various races on the earth.
In this square there’s no friend,
I am here just to quench my taste.
Don’t loiter,
Buy what you need first,
That should be your quest
In avoiding regrets.
We must all go home to rest,
Against sunset.
                                                                                                  HABIB AKEWUSOLA.

Fascinating Relating

Fascinating Relating

So what's the use with muse. Seems to be becoming quite
a redundant word. Methuselah was musenthical. He was
the oldest muse to ever see the misuse of muse in the
world who was ever known. Interesting.

Many things people may find fascinating
Wondering how together things are relating
To the methodical matter now at hand
Why do in jail some people like to land?

My mind's poetic wheels continue to crank
Out poems while God I always will thank
Love what He did for me and appreciate
Hope my poems no one decided to decimate.

If it hadn't been for these heels and toes
And myself being in my very own throes
I would lack having an individual desire
To blaze trail and then find world on fire.

Am I either being an agnostic or egotist?
That you find hard to decease and resist
I may find a few doubts here and there
But know Christ Child a woman would bare.

Now that is life is over with and now done
Why still in circles must we constantly run
Jesus later in His life would try to explain
It is either Me or end up down the drain.

Now there is quite a harsh thought. It is
either Me or My enemy. I would rather
that mine eyes see His glory myself. How
about you?

Poetrysoup Is Fascinating But

I have been diligently crafting lyrical verses to thrill internet readers...
Flattering myself there is a legion of literary fans who are my readers...

I remember the thrill and excitement when I first received the earliest comment..
It made me so very welcomed that i shot back immediately a quick word of thanks..

I marvelled in the wide expense of this literary treasure trove that is PoetrySoup...
I fully subscribe to the virtues, hopes and delights found in this beautiful site...

Only I am given to moments of self doubt and sometimes I do wonder...
The writings diligently posted, are they up to expectations or do readers wonder..

Are these ramblings or are these genuine expressions of poetic splendour..
As a writer, I am given to ask myself, in moments of self analysis with candour..

How do readers out there perceive each piece of poetry craftily produced...
How does a poetry piece upon reading, are you attuned and are you pleased...

So, all blessed readers here in this treasured site that is PoetrySoup...
I implore, I beseech, please kindly leave comments for the poets of this soup...

Thank you everyone, all comments are very much appreciated and God bless!

A Fascinating Puzzle

You do the unbelievable
You astound us with your work
We worship your Holy Presence
We cannot say enough of you
There is so much to be Thankful for
Everything circumstance and obstacle
You put there for a reason
It is our job to figure the puzzle out
We must complete the mission at hand
There is much work to do
There are people who need your understand
May we seek you in the darkest hour
May they know who matters most in this world
May none of us put anything above you
Help us to know what's most important in life
Stick to those ideals, beliefs, and attributes
You are the King of Kings
You are to be honored and praised
You are to be thought of often
You are to remembered and studied
You are the Best Comfort, Life knows
You are the ultimate logo, the ultimate trademark
No one can Ever take your place
You have entire reign over us

I find it fascinating
That we are all
Temporary
This little life trip seems unnecessary
But its needed
To test your soul
To see if you’ll drink from the toilet bowl
Of this existence that we create
How do you want history to read your fate?
Were you worth something to rate?
Or a result of daddy’s need to masturbate?
He should have launched you in a tissue
You’re really nothing more than an issue
To be ignored
Though I know your bored
You may beg to the Lord
Or fall upon your own sword
That you sharpen
With drug and drink
Quizzical little choice
Don’t yah think?
Too many questions
And few answers to be found
It’s the reality
Of idiocy’s sound
Pass me the chemicals
And pour another round
I need to be numb to put on my shield
It’s the fog of blankness
That I wield
As I wait in the concrete field
And look to the sky
Questioning who, what and why
Waiting to die
To find out if it was all a lie
It is with these thoughts
I breathe a heavy sigh
And pray I receive my wings
As I’m ready to fly

Premium Member A Smile

To greet with a smile
Is the best gift
Surpassing any words
Fascinating hearts
And a memory
Imprinted in the hearts
Just because it fetches
Love
Good thoughts
Innocence
Let smile
And the world
Will become more beautiful

Premium Member Fascinating Palmistry

A mystical cross on the inside of your palm
Means your life is foretold in a glorious psalm.

Lucky bracelet rings around your dainty wrist
Means you were created in energy’s mist.

If you palm looks like she’s been sliced in half
Right down the middle, get the fatted calf.

The lifeline which sails widely around your thumb
Cuts in quite deeply, means you are not too dumb.

The heartline across the top chooses her finger.
If she stops at the pointer, marriage will be a zinger.

Headline in the middle between heart and life
Each nick across indicates a tiny bit of strife.

Stars and whorls, crosses, and well-cut lines.
Palm knowledge is as cherished as Pharaoh’s gold mines.

Fascinating Predators

Eagles are fascinating predators true*to their calling*,
and the kind that I really like are those beautiful
white-headed with two black wings elegantly resting
on rocks when the crimson dusk awaits nightfall.

They build their nest* with leaves in a tall tree to avoid
snakes crawling and killing their off-spring: is it hunger or whim?
Don't they fear stormy clouds* that cause fear for motherhood?
They do, but quickly they begin swooping* down and gently lift them
with their beaks and bring them to safety where steady rain
can't harm them...will they forget the place where their had been?

Eagle are really bold and show their strength as they engage in flying*,
they may be fierce and kill, but there's another tender side of eagles
that humans don't see when they protect their small ones from flies*;
like mothers that teach their babies to walk, they teach them fledgling*.

For three long seasons, we see them roar in our splendid, huge skies,
they induce fear, but their also amaze us with their dazzling beauty;
watch them depart from their chicks and return at early dusk timely:
they love their limitless freedom...if they lose it, their hope for joy dies.

Another Horn Fascinating Story

Our cat has been bothering heck out of us. At first, he wants some food we have for him in the garage. It is in a metal bowl and a plastic self-feeding feeder. Henry prefers metal container and Jack likes the Plastic Container. They both are boys obviously. Next, Henry likes drinking water from bathroom sink. Jack likes water in a container on kitchen counter. We are waiting for National Cathederal church service. Best virtual way to go and avoid COVID Contact. So how is your going and proceeding? Oh, and we are watching the usual depressing news on TV. Catostrophies are occuring daily. Must put up outdoor Christmas decorations and
put up winter wreath on door. If the economy is not bett and COVID is worse, we are all in trouble again. Interesting seeing speaker's background consisting of books they have written and pictures of things. Back to my bowel of cereal and looking at my lovelywife who has a great smile. Let me see if she smiles again and puts up with my absurdity. Glad all of my fans have enjoyed what I have read. Need to start putting another puzzle together and working on controlling bureaucracy, obsession and chaos. Need to start reading another book also. How about you? Uh oh. Biden wants the voting world to improve. Race relations pictures in universities is promoting racial descrimination. What an ever lasting problem. Un American and un Democratic Biden said. What a horrible situation. Now onward to MLK and Plesy versus Ferguson regarding Louisiana racial bais.
