Best Famines Poems
The fish needs the anemone; the anemone, the fish
The pollen needs to be the bumble bee’s most precious wish
There’s fishes that frequent the mouths of huge man eating sharks
There’s places where I walk my dog, where he, at nothing, barks
The dragonfly leaps into flight, how does he know he can
A dolphin will attack a shark… to save his fellow man????
A chick will clamber from an egg and when he’s fully grown
He’ll fly five thousand miles to find a land he’s never known
All of this is cool and yet defies all explanation
So what on Earth created everything in every nation
Coincidence or accident, the odds just made it so
When mother nature’s dice were bad, she took another throw
Do I marvel at the splendour of the stars or moonlit nights
Do I smile when on a lavender a butterfly alights
It’s truly hard to comprehend; to find a rationale
For each astounding thing in this whole world - or this locale
Some say it’s evolution and the rest say we should pray
As though it’s Mother Nature or a god made things this way
But nature plays a game of chance; things work or don’t last long
I wonder at the notion that a god might get things wrong
There’s negatives… volcanoes, earthquakes, famines and tornadoes
I’d like to think a watchful god would save us all from those
I know not who or what made planet blue ’pon which we live
But when I see the truth my full allegiance I shall give
For all the birds and all the bees and all the plants and all the trees
Shall fill my heart with joy but shall not bring me to my knees
And yet our science tells us that it started with a bang
Which, some say, is as likely as, “Then all the angels sang.”
But all of us - you, them and I - are mortal as that butterfly
Will answers come the day we die, or will our souls lay down and cry
Will we float into the light with no fears, needs nor appetites
Or will we simply cease to be, with no more days and no more nights
I gaze at all the wonders that form part of all that is
And I don’t know if they are nature’s work or they are ‘his’
I envy those who have the faith; for me, I make this call
How lucky have I been to witness all of this at all?
Every day a darker world we see.
Her skies are gray, and Her pain released.
Many warning signs are shared by her.
Earthquakes, Hurricanes, and floods
on Earth.
Her droughts are brought causing famine.
Are warnings for us to examine.
Her felt emotions and inner pain.
Are then brought forth through tears of rain.
How many more warnings must she
send?
The World to realize, we're at the end.
The Bible Speaks when will we know
the end is near? Mathew 24:6-8 ESV.
" See that you are not alarmed, for
this must take place, but the end is
not yet. For nation, will rise against
Nation, and Kingdom, and there will
be famines, and earthquakes in
various places. All these are but the
beginning of Birth Pains."

CORONA VIRUS (COV-19)
The Black Death, or bubonic plague, which happened nearly 700 years ago, (in the three year period of 1347 to 1351 in which it lasted) took the lives of an estimated 75 to 200 million people. It stayed dormant for 300 years. It then reared its ugly head in Spain and London. The plague is certainly a devastating entity to be reckoned with. The attack by terrorists on 9/11 was a dastardly deed perpetrated by cowards and the death toll was horrendous but by comparison, the Black Death is by far the worse catastrophe ever witnessed by mankind. In Biblical History, leprosy was the most dreaded disease which maimed and killed many. But rest assured there are days coming that all the combined plagues of history can compare. In the Book of Matthew 24:6-13 it reads: "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another." There is already great evidence of this taking place in government today and all around the world. You may ask the question, "What does this have to do with the Corona Virus (COV-19)? The Corona Virus can be controlled. The chaos and devastation of Armageddon cannot be stopped or brought under control. Therefore, it is an undisputed fact that the world will experience a catastrophe far greater than anything that has ever taken place. Matthew 6:33-34 reads: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

For the Corona Virus (COV-19) contest
Start the day. In what way
was the cold spring, last wet summer a
global warning, indicator. Says
one commentator on the op-ed page, the
dislocations, wars, famines will tax humanity's
technology, philosophy, even religion's ability
to see past daily survival to
the music in the rock. I've doubted the taboos
one frog among many in the slow-heating beauty
of the world we knew. Aaron's coconut.
Peepers doing well in the heavy rains, wet
with joy. Hawks and crows thrive below the jet
stream, noise, perhaps our fears
are overdrawn, we'll get along, it'll all hold together 10,000 years more,
the Holocaust will never be repeated, lush mountain and sere
desert equally appreciated, baseball
lazily paced summer evenings, the harvest in the fall
a sure thing, and the dying back a blessing come to all.
Mother India
Each August 15th since 1947, a day of expectant waiting –
Either terror from India’s enemies and frenemies
Or the terror of weather, some natural happening
Or holiday hazards, even hospital tragedies …
This year, 2017, has India and Israel in alliance
Culture and history connects these ancient folk
Different, yet similar, even in religious compliance:
Ritual purity, Hindu and Jew, avoiding beef or pork
For generations now, we have been South Africans
But grandparents loved the movies, famed Bollywood -
And we learned more of music from these films
Names like Nargis, Sunil Dutt, Rajesh Kanna, plus Shah Rukh
The classic movie, “Mother India” – with hard times
With village life, and then those famines
Family sacrifice, especially from Mothers divine
Sad songs tug those chords across miles and times
So now, this August, we say Happy Birthday: Jai Hind
And in sibling magnanimity, Bless Pakistan too:
Politics and language, love and hate, led to partition
Moving on, we seek Shanthi and Shalom, Salaam and Truth
Poor India, rising India, nation of every contradiction
You are still worth admiring, both kurtha tops and sari
Cool cottons and silks for export, along with technicians …
Those deep religious roots siphon truths told by Mahatma Gandhi ....

Each delicious breath,
Every cooling drink.
I salute your passing.
Temperatures we enjoyed,
your breezes stroked my skin,
sunlight played softly,
green fields waved salutations.
I recognize your demise.
Unfiltered sunlight on my face,
the electric drone of insects,
the melodious aviary song,
the dance of sea lions,
the taste of spring water,
Gone in a generation.
The doe greeted me on my trek
to glacier-capped peaks.
Rivers ran cerulean
reflecting a perfect sky.
I feel the loss.
Gentle rain-soaked pastures
with bouncing young sheep,
gleeful in life’s celebration.
Nature's bounty fed me.
I long for your joy.
We all do.
You splashed riches around us.
We met you with greed.
Overconsumed and ignored,
we changed you,
we hurt you.
We miss you.
An angry you remained,
not joyful, giving, or golden.
still you, but thirsty, lonely, dark.
Alone in your existence,
your children died around you.
You witnessed the deaths,
the floods, the fires,
the famines, the heat.
You mourned with us.
But we broke you, we killed you.
Your evil twin remains,
to punish us until a balance returns,
that might save a dying planet.
The Scripture asserts this truth in Luke 21:11:
“And great earthquakes shall be in divers places,
and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights
and great signs shall there be from heaven.”
Already prophesied… thus, expected to happen.
With such turmoil, I, DISASTER personified present to you
my horrifying rage smiting mountains’ grandeur
igniting volcanoes to burst out flames reminding hell’s torture forever
awaiting the faithless and unbelievers to yell midst restlessness’ angst
sealed in their deplorable doom midst cruel defiant hatred.
You’ve witnessed my fury as devouring CALAMITY
revealed by my forest fire’s peril…
such is just a glimpse of unending heat in hell’s no-exit destiny
where misery gloom prevails in endless darkness
due to sufferings and hopelessness pangs
leaving righteousness-offenders in their guilty status.
My wrath’s unleashing fatal power of ruthless CATASTROPHE
reigns over mankind’s abuse of nature, bringing pestilence
as sun’s scorching heat keeps emitting deadly rays
voicing out grim warning of hell-fire's everlasting torment
expressing death's wailing every second
as sorrows, anguish, woes howl in wild lamentation
with constant gnashing of teeth terribly experienced.
In my PERDITION forces, you’re awakened by God Almighty
now, reflect on this reality as I appeal to your body, soul and spirit…
my terror is still no match with hell's tenacious grip
which you can miss to obtain peace-filled freedom
by trusting the Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ placing your faith in HIM
Who already vanquished hell by His sacrificial love*
toward triumphant "end of age" welcoming unending agelessness.
*Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Enemies of the peace
Are not consecrating the life
Tampering with the nature
Crucifying the childhood
On the sidewalks
Burying the chastity
In the brothels
Killing the light
Before coming the dark
Enemies of the peace
Adoring the wars
Kissing the poverty
Dreaming with the famines
Clapping for catastrophes
Destroying everything
Schools
Hospitals
Synagogues
Churches
Mosques
Temples
Enemies of the peace
They want to uproot feelings
To extinguish the flaming longing
In the hearts
And burn the growing yearning
In depths of humans
Enemies of the peace
Robbing the dreams
Jailing the tears
Deforming the colors
Crushing the flowers
Turning off the hope
Enemies of the peace
Not knowing the love
Not appreciating the values
Not believing in the peace .....................
Everyone they say, has a soulmate in a way
Those lucky have met, or will meet theirs some day
The rest might really never know, what true love is
Love knocks on their door, not to enter but to tease
The soulmate is an angel, in form of a person
One with whom you can share, the same kind of passion
Men have conquered the world, only to find it not enough
What they were really looking for, was someone to love
God made man, then a woman from his lib
That’s why men feel for women, a love so deep
But men took love for granted, in favor of their greed
They betrayed their hearts, and the love marching ceased
Mankind survived centuries, through plagues sleeping on floors
The soulmate hardly existed, throughout famines and wars
Men bled for their kings, thousands dying of broken hearts
Without their soulmate present, they died impoverished like rats
By the time peace and prosperity, found mankind again
Men were faced with, a new kind of reality and pain
Just when they could afford, to flirt and share some laughs
The availability of the soulmate, depended on economic graphs
So that men could only marry, women they could afford
The soulmate was again betrayed, and love again was flawed
Still there were those very brave, who dared to still believe
They must meet their soulmate, and wipe away their grief
The soulmate knows you better, than yourself and beyond
The soulmate and you, are two peas in a pond
Without the soul mate, you are a face lost in the crowd
But you stand out from the rest, when your soulmate is around
The soulmate is worth, more than riches and gold
You can’t place value on someone, with whom to laugh till your old
Sadly not everyone of us, will find his or hers
More than riches and gold, the soulmate is scarce.
**The Mark of the Beast**
The Mark of the Beast
At the end of all time
It is recorded in God’s Word
A curse for mankind
There will be a Mark
Mandated across the world
No one is exempt
Not slave or king
All must be branded
To show allegiance to the Beast
The Mark of the Beast
Affixed to your forehead or right hand
The Mark of the Beast
The Serpent’s final plan
His desire is to drag all the children of God to hell
And join him for eternity in his molten lava cell
What will be your decision?
Will you bow to the King of Hell?
IF YOU TAKE THIS MARK
IT WILL BANISH YOU TO HELL!!!
The other choice is to choose Jesus Christ
He is the King on His way
He is coming to rapture His bride
For wrath they will not stay
There will be a remnant of Christians left behind
They will be tested and tested
Purified and tried
This testing time will be the worst upon the earth
Famines, wars, starvation, and disease
It will bring the children of God to their eternal knees
Please take this biblical poem and pray over it this day
If you are not holy and fearing the One True God
AFTER THE RAPTURE YOU WILL STAY!
According to the Apostle John in Revelation chapter 13
If you open up your Bible
This information you can glean!

Revelation 13: 16-18
16 He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be
given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. 17 And no one could buy or sell
anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number
representing his name. 18 Wisdom is needed here. Let the one with understanding
solve the meaning of the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[c] His
number is 666.[d]
By planting seeds of any kind you make crops grow.
Fertilizing the soil we get a crop of fresh food, this we all know.
By planting seeds we insure our lifestyles and what determines our bliss.
Today famines, pestilence, deterioration of soil will bring about new crisis.
The fumes from autos the gases from fossil fuels have incurred global warming.
Our bread belt in the U.S., is being polluted by this and truly is alarming.
We now have over 6 billion people on this earth, our eco system is failing
How can we continue to possibly feed all the nations? Our people and planet are wailing.
Plant the seed of hope my brethren pray to the Father, stand up and help the people understand.
That the end of the age is upon us, we will have to answer to the Father and face Jesus the Spiritual Son of man.
All on this planet have to answer to Him someday; the killing, wars, have to stop or this planet will be emptied.
The world will change and it will be sudden, a blink of an eye, and we will be changed spiritually.
Through our deeds and thoughts we can turn to the Father and spiritually plant the seeds.
Anyone with half a brain can see man’s way is not working, we are in need.
Don’t elect corrupted officials who do nothing but line their pockets and abuse their power.
For the day of the Lord is near we are rapidly approaching our Lords dynamic majesty and His hour.
Planting seeds for our food and nourishment are fine, but don’t forget that what the Father says you know.
We need a humbling contrite spirit because the Father tells us through Jesus, that we will reap what we sow.
We can harvest, we can toil for our food, yet, we are missing the point here and it’s very clear to me.
Unless we turn to God’s laws, His edicts, and repent for our transgressions this country and others around the world will be lost spiritually.
FEEL AFRICA
Silence!
Silence Africa!
One can hardly get Africa to be silent;
Africa habours a pulsating bubble.
Everyone in Africa bounces to rhythm resilient.
Africa, like Zambia, or
Zambia, like Africa;
Dear ones, whichever comes first
Swells with energy in the sun!
You see not the pulse;
You feel every ounce.
Feel it now!
Woo! Woo! Is it fun or funny?
Africa loves to dance.
The continent is one huge drum;
One complete dance!
They work hard too.
Mothers and daughters,
Fathers and sons;
Mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law
Of Africa work hard
They fetch water; they collect wood.
They pound corn; they cook their food.
In all their creation,
People of Africa have one ingredient;
SONG!
You hear them sing while pounding corn.
Phew! Phew! Wow!
At funerals we sing and dance,
At weddings, even more song and dance.
Nothing has ever stopped Africa from dancing;
Yes! Even the tragedies we’ve known;
The genocides and ethnic cleansings,
in the heart of the continent.
Apartheid in the Cape of Good Hope;
Starvation, hunger, war;
Famines, droughts and floods
In the great lakes and the horn of Africa!
We have mourned;
We have questioned!
Mmmh! Courage!
Courage is what kept us alive.
We felt like throwing it away;
Accepting defeatist tendencies;
Choose revenge; and hurt;
Not with Africa.
We have come out reassured.
We have emerged tested in fire;
More finer and stronger than before
We can afford to pray!
We are like lions; the pride of the universe.
Our pride lies in our landscapes; the mountains
And the valleys;
the plateaus and the savannahs.
Free flowing rivers,
Connect us with worlds near and far.
We accommodate strangers as our rivers instruct.
Strangers of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans;
The seas and lakes!
They brought the world to us
as they did bring us to the world;
the Zambezi, the Nile and the Congo.
They have made us larger than we have ever been.
We can join in the songs and dances of others
As they can join ours too.
Come join us; feel at home!
Feel Africa!
One Zambia, my dear one;
The little star of copper.
You shine deep in the heart of the continent;
Warming the cold and frightened neighbours!
The blessing you are is the blessing you offer.
You exemplify unity in multiplicity,
Of languages and ethnicity;
Be not afraid copper star.
Shine as bright as you do;
Only warmer!

God’s is the realm beyond man’s understanding.
Underway is rapid and rabid deforestation of God’s domain.
As science expands, so does the chasm
between God and men.
Men think.
Thinking gives men science.
Men love science.
Men love themselves.
So they push God back.
They love God less.
They need God less.
They think.
By countless prayers
God would provide bountiful harvests
or terrible famines.
Science provides pesticides, fertilizers
and genetically amplified crops.
So the chasm expands.
By unquestioning trust
God would heal the sick and lame
or forgive the sinner.
Science provides vaccines and medicines,
it explains that genetics determine behavior - there is no sin.
So the chasm expands.
By candlelight,
monks and scholars would study scripture and
draw nearer to God.
Science provides electricity and the internet
where religion is a mocked antiquity.
So the chasm expands.
The width of the chasm is the reach of the Hubble
--and still--
God dwells beyond the realm of man’s understanding
across the chasm of man’s pride,
in the realm of faith.
Waiting eagerly and sorrowful in the silence
for a prayer,
for some trust,
for some lost soul
to find Him.
For when science fails a man,
he looks across the chasm for God
and a perfect love bridges the gap,
provides bounty,
heals wounds,
forgives sins, and
grants light still.
Despite what
men think.

*this was more like a stream of consciousness/free-write than a poem.
The end times are upon us
the return of the Lord is near
try to take care of your loved ones
and those to you that are dear
try to be loving and compassionate
always try to show that you care
children please listen to your parents everywhere
try not to have any bad thoughts
or no harsh words to be said
just keep on walking in the fruit of the spirit instead
the Lord is there to guide us both now and forevermore
just imagine if today was the day that he returned and knocked on our door
wars earthquakes floods despair and fear
just a few of the signs that the end times are near
try to take care of your loved ones
and those to you that are dear.
persecution will come
from even those that we love most and when we least expect it , this I know only to well
and is true.
II Timothy 3:1-5,7 "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men
will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, disobedient to their parents,
ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal,
haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of
god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning
and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Matthew 24:6 "And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not
frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end."
Matthew 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in
various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
mathew24:27 Just as the lightning comes from the east, and flashes even to the west,so shall
the son of man be.
Luke 12:37 you too must be ready, for the son is coming at an hour that you do not expect.
mathew 24:30 they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and
great Glory. Amen.
Faith my professor
once said
is like a train
driven on rails
of written truths.
The truth, I ask..
you have lectured
on wars and famines
the Jewish holocaust
and Old Testament prophesies.
The professor and pastor
smiled and stated
everything will be fulfilled
when the Christ returns
a truth mentioned in the Gospels.
I asked kindly
is faith a leap
like off the Grand Canyon?
he reached out and handed me
a schedule of Bible classes.
Faith is a lifelong commute
plenty of time to change
the television station
relive the past
consider the future.
A beautiful Hispanic girl
gave me a Bible
wrapped in plastic
just before that
an old woman
driving a Lincoln
rolled over a flowerbed
good people around
all frowned
with insults
only to be consoled by the pastor..
