Premium Member Sweet Mimosa

~To hold as 't were, the mirror up to nature…

How sweet the Mimosa’s aromatic lure
with lumbering roots stretching and digging deep.
Leaning this way, that way as bodies mature
soaking up the rain, letting pure elements seep.

Spindly extensions that extrude really wide
draping rich earth bed where fallen blossoms dried.
Mimosa’s budding flower a sweet perfume
captivates senses with each coral red bloom.

Premium Member What Is Love

What is Love
By
Kevin L Fairbrother
Love is a word expressed in so many ways
It’s meaning known to those who reach out
With-out fear or favor, sharing body and soul
Their body language enhancing the feeling
…
Love can be like a new day dawning
Or stormy and rough round the edges
Can be walking on the beach holding hands
Love is an experience, a journey with the end unknown
…
Love given freely with no strings attached
Is warm and tender and binds with strength
When given freely, love is returned
With fear and intimidation there is no love
…
Love can be giving your time to those who are hurt
The caring of the sick, the down-trodden and poor
Love and kindness to a child that’s lost
And flowers…. well they never hurt
…
Don’t be afraid to express your love
Say what you mean…do what you say
Give your love freely with touch, kind words
And trust and respect… your greatest gift
…
The results of love given freely can be seen everyday
In the faces of those who smile and have a spring in their step
The young and the old who smile and say G’day
For they extrude happiness to those who are sad
…

Love should not be about who has got what
For every- day things will come and go
The seeds of love will continue to grow
And burst forth like a sunny spring day
…
Open your eyes and look around for love abounds
It’s there for you to touch, experience and see
Take the time there is no need to rush
Take a deep breath… bend and smell the roses

Divine Perfection

Who are we to grief for the ones that are no more,
Extrude sorrow for the ones that are still living,
Should we not be the preacher who is never distressed?
For we existed before and do so in the future;

Seasons bestow joy and suffering to our senses,
Mortal perishable body as garment to the soul,
Atma chooses neither the death cycle nor its new rebirth;
For I am the destroyer and creator of universe;

Why blame yourself or the unwitting actions of life,
For all deeds abide within me as Param-atma.

Thunder's Threat

Thunder's threat

You know us
Yet you are still gossip on us
You know we have no where expect
Here to lay our comfort
Cozy bed. Thunder, why must
You extrude the rain
Your lighten is enough to make
Us fear, it makes our body din
Some of us have grown
With greyish hair
Now he's about to fall, he is just
Coming like dew, where do you want
Us to lay ourselves at this night
We will just be left strand in him, as he's
Already injecting us with heavy breeze.

A Blissful Torment

A blissful torment of stagnant virtues solidifies the unity incomplete.
Revolution looms in the hearts of millions. Undesirable uproar invoking insidious

Premium Member Wordsmith

He's a stable smithy
Thinks his genius words are pithy
As he pounds, pounds, pounds
Into the night

Swings his big word-hammer
Never minding lies and grammar
Cuz he's gotta, gotta, gotta
Fuel the fight

With his bellowslike ire
He stokes the fire
As it burns, burns, burns
To his delight

On his huge word-anvil
Pounds rumor and scandal
As they sizzle, sizzle, sizzle
Burning bright

Hones his words untoward
Like a two-edged sword
As they stab, stab, stab
Like a knife

As his words extrude
They can get really rude
As he pushes, pushes, pushes
Wrong as right

He's a stable smithy
Thinks his genius words are pithy
As he pounds, pounds, pounds
With all his might

Familiarity

Familiarity, the bridgework of intent,
as common measures rise, or bring dissent,
I plead my virtue, cave to my insight
the road aspiring network asks invite!

Ah, but familiar were the sound of love,
that too would perish, as the listening's groove
would leave aspiring, my own heart the louvre,
so far from thee, condition not to brood!

And that desires framework is intrude
as almost all my ploys and plots extrude,
some deepening, like reliving's interlude
is in the separation longing's mood!

And as I miss you, not as duly good,
but in a faked response exchanging feud
If we that once did not feel understood,
away from thee, the measures now are prude!

And I do love thee more, from knowing's clued
and devious of time still pray resume
were but a moment's chance, thy trust be proved,
I tender mine in searching trials renewed!

It is this, giving up, our lives are nude
and that which wears our time, but function's cold,
what e'er the causing costs, I ask improve,
If I could love thee once, be not removed!

The edge of all regret, dysfunction hued
should stay beneath my feet . . . stamped out construed!

Intrude

Life's standards, its conclude
how gospel vested interlude
drives promise to the wind,
my own extrude ~

As telling all the world
my love is true
and then to thy own ear exclude
no gracious entity of faith so rude!

Would chance the day,
this then to call my mood
and privacies invade, not Heaven's brood
as nowhere else defined, still search as clued!

For it is Hell I share, without thy good
entwining time together, understood ~
that Heaven not be broken, with laws lewd
if not on Earth that then Thy love renewed!

And not in time away and not in viewed
disorder of love's claim, so misconstrued
is neither here nor there, is but fool's feud
the argument contained by my Art's hued!

And brought to center stage as empty stood
what moment can arrange, that thee include
              this aching heart's abridge ~
                 . . . without intrude!

An Erased Poem Raised From the Dead. ( For the Duos Contest From James Peranteau and John Loving Iii

Trusting
(without doubt or fear)
Inverse fine gifts
(given to us something dear)
Amoraously
(with great affection we give.)
Ambiguious chatter
(sweet nothings whispered in the ear)
Ambivalent feelings
(our existence as a whole.)
Overtly extrude with exuberance
(openly pushed feelings explode)
What can not contain itself
( the Holy Spirit commands it to shout)
in mine mind
(in memories stout)
I spill on mine poetic slip
( my mind has use for such splinded verse)
Mind of gossip
(and imagine the best; but tell the worse)

Dove

fastens its inequity to move

And of my thought, consensus seems to brood
antiquating like some meaning's drove
were superceding all of life's remove
that love conditioned sequence so extrude!

This open door of faith, lost times construe
is hoping, but our sorrow God approve
and focus our tomorrow's interlude
on righteous equity, without intrude!

Labyrinthian Day

The trees
extrude themselves
along the low resistance
pathways in the air.
Nature abhores such vacuums and
fills them with wood.

The birds who
inhabit the trees
ride sunlight trails,
slip along transparent
tunnels on the surface of wind.
