Taliban Fighter

Taliban fighter
Mind in a whirl
For love of his god
Shoots teenage girl
Places his bullet
Coldly in her head
Taliban fighter
Leaves her for dead

Medieval mind
Full of bigotry and hate
With twisted views
Centuries out of date
Taliban fighter
Don't you think it odd
Although you claim
You did it for your god

This little girl
Is still alive
Very good chance
She will survive
Taliban fighter maybe
In your god's eyes
You're a low creature
Loathed and despised

Taliban fighter
You bring much shame
By your acts supposedly
In your god's very name.
Taliban fighter
I think it too late
For any chance
To re educate.

Taliban fighter it would
Be better if you were dead
From well aimed bullet
Placed deep in your head.
When a dog is mad
You don't hesitate
But quickly and mercifully
Exterminate

Live For the Cheers, Die By the Boos

LIVE FOR THE CHEERS, DIE BY THE BOOS

"If you live for the cheers
you'll die by the boos"
Ephemeral joyful pool of tears
exterminate joy and invite foes.
Deceitful applause and wrong peers
are both companions of fools.
Don't live for the world's cares.
Apply your mental tools,
the cheers are thorns over the years;
So, rather be alone than in twos.
"If you live for the cheers
you'll die by the boos";
Same cheerers, being your propellers
will slate you on totem poles.
Refuse to live by the cheers
and focus with the eye of bulls.

Requim For Un

United Nations, United Nations
What an oxymoron!
What an oxymoron!!

The platitude goes-
‘United we stand’
In the UN,
How erect we stand!
How erect we stand!!
We are *****erectus
Aren’t we?

This genocide-friendly unity of nations
With extra-care tending
The weeded garden of poison-trees.
When Hutus and Tutsies blood-bathe
The UN closely observes the situation,
When Israel unchilds, unhusbands and unfathers
The Palestinians, the UN
Appeals to both the parties to exercise restraint.
When the Theravada fanatics exterminate the Rohingyas
And the West-engineered Arab Spring
Tears the Middle East asunder,
The UN condemns and condemns and condemns!

O UN what a paradox you enflesh,
Bringing to the forefront
The anti-thesis -
‘United we stand, divided we fall’
To what insurmountable height you have taken
The human(un)kind, we have seen
Now anti-thetically we would like to fall
As ‘fair is foul, foul is fair’.

In your acronymic form
When in lower case
How prophetically you become
An ominous prefix!

UN, UN you are non-existent
An ethereal entity, a papier mache;
Ailan’s death has finally declared
You biologically dead.
Let this cenotaph be
Placed on top of UN HQ:
Here once architecturally stood
The divided conglomeration of Nations – the UN,

A metonymic entity
Proudly pronouncing human unyokability.
RIP, dear UN.

Fotw

There he is again/searching...
for me - the object of his disdain/
his bete noire

Looking at him through the facets of my vision...
- He is a hulking one of them

The ones who seek to cut off my already
truncated life

Swish! a swift and practiced mano
takes aim

Lo Mein from last night's relvelry
my launch to escape

....too evasive...

Yet, my aggravation is apparent -
if only to myself

Agitated setae sit stilly upon a
bottled back

Nonetheless, I take this latest attack
in stride....An insignificant setback in this
current battle between he and I/between I
and them

Since this is a constant struggle/one that has
probably been going on since the inception of time...

I profoundly ponder past assualts from
whilom ages

Is this the Genocide that my brothers from
another phylum speak of through the whisper mill?

For, I am also Black, but very
uncomely/I am Black, but the sun
has not made me so...

No!...

I have attained my shape, size, and melanin
through the evolutionary hand of creation

Still, do I deserve to procreate,
to be fruitful and multiply?

Each day my numbers diminish
and nobody questions why?

Yet, every attempt to exterminate my existence
is met with a well executed jete

Since hardly anyone is successful the first time

I then let the momentum carry me high
and away/until I once again become a
negroid speck on a drab canvas

....A canvas that only I can bring color to...

...F.O.T.W?...

Premium Member Let Us Celebrate

Let us celebrate
This is not time to denigrate
Nigerians rise and jubilate
Cause we are poised to rethink and meditate

Let us roll out the drums
This is not the time to keep mum
Let the air be filled with fun
To drown the wailings and guns

Democracy has come to stay in Nigeria history
Let us celebrate a hard- won victory
A milestone in the country's trajectory
Prophets of doom remain confounded and desultory

Nigeria the hope of the black race
Rise up and keep the pace
Exterminate corruption without trace
And give the country a new face

You are destined for Leadership
A rallying point for African Fellowship
Do not be deterred by the present hardship
From claiming your divine kingship

The Corona Catastrophe

Silently shrill
a silent chill
seems to have run down the spine
of our blue planet windmill
So many deceased
Too many ill
mounting and surmounting
 the hospital bill
Breathing for many
 is like climbing uphill
or like panting on
your home treadmill
And it's frightening when
there is nil a pill.
A minute invisible
virus doth kill .
Pray to God for mercy
bow and kneel!
Many are dying
 without a will
 It's safer to stay home
 by the window sill
The world seems to have come
to a standstill
You now have time to sharpen
your poetic quill
In lockdown pray
and ink still spill
You may hone
your poetic skill
Until the virus
has had its fill.
Corona they say feels like drowning
like a fish without a gill
for we can't breathe
like the eel or krill.
In mouths hot water
flush and swill
Exterminate this virus?
only God can and will.

Don'T Imitate What Is Evil

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil
but what is good. Anyone who does
what is good is from God.
Anyone does what is evil
has not seen God.
3 John 1:11

Most religions claim to be peaceful
While there is no peace on earth today.
Why? Because some religious folks hide devil
in their hearts and continue doing evil mostly.

Look at the religious conflicts in  Nigeria,
Israel,  Palestine,  Pakistan , India
and other few countries where some humans
always kill each other because of different religions.

If God is One amongst us  on earth
Did He appoint some individuals to always
exterminate others for His personal revenues?
No and no! This world needs peace - just peace , Yeah!.

Dark Moon

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Dark Moon
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: February/2014

There's a dark moon rising over
the Stars and Strips.....
An ugly wicked dark moon;

It want go away -

When you think that the most
heinous slaughter of human life,
in American history has long been
forgotten think again.

It peeks through the iniquity of
minacious clouds,to reveal the
unthinkable genocide, that took
place on American soil -

An ugly wicked dark moon -

bleeding behind the shadows of
senseless, yet countless shed's
of blood on the grounds of
America -

It was the worst holocaust known
to mankind - Still to this day, it
stands alone as the most
catastrophic loss of human life in
World History -

Even more than all of the wars
ever fought, and life lost in battle -
This was an atrocity,lead by
Christopher Columbus, who called
himself, "Admiral Of The Ocean Sea."

In 1492, He set sail on his maiden
voyage from Spain,in the Santa
Maria, He eventually came upon
the Americas, where the indigenous
people called Taino, ruled the
land -

But in 1493, on his second voyage
to the Americas, It marked the
beginning of the end for the
Taino people -

Columbus, and his men set out to
exterminate all of the Indigenous
people - creating the worst
holocaust ever known throughout
the world -

When the massacre ended, 100
million Taino Native American's,
lay dying in the dirt of their
homeland -

Columbus, had conquered his goal
as the only man left standing on
American soil -

There's a dark moon rising over
the Stars and Strips, and it won’t
go away -

An ugly wicked dark moon -

Premium Member Come Get the Cheese

A taxonomic binomial that does not sound fabulous:
That would be the term "Rattus norvegicanus".
The species belongs to the order Rodentia.
They can be found anywhere except Antarctica.
Rats seem to proliferate quite freely.
What annoying pests these creatures can be!
However, there's a way to rid them, fortunately.
Just take a trap and bait it with cheese.
That's a tried and true method to exterminate them with ease.

Premium Member Believe It Or Not

My apartment once looked like it was decorated for halloween.
Throughout spider webs were on display easily seen,
from every corner of every room and from beam to beam,
but these weren't props, these were the real thing.
I guess a spider got into my apartment through my air conditioner most likely,
and proceeded to procreate a lot of spider babies,
who kind of took permanent residence eventually.
Rather than exterminate, I chose to coexist with them,
and I believe that they too had sensed that I had no bad intentions.
They would freely come on to my hand and creepy crawl along my arm,
as if knowing that I wouldn't cause any of them any harm,
then I would place my hand in the direction,
of a spider web it may have likely spun,
and off they would go amongst their web's scattered debris,
of dehydrated husks of insects, but only one variety.
The prey that these eight-legged predators enjoyed the most,
was that classic uninvited guest, the common cockroach.
Prior to this whole spider invasion,
the cockroach was a major problem in my apartment,
but after the spiders moved in,
I began seeing less and less of them,
and shortly after that, there were none.
There was also an immediate decrease in the spider population.
Their prey the cockroach was no longer in abundance,
and so the spiders died out too due to lack of prey.
I haven't seen a spider or a cockroach to this very day,
but I will always be grateful to the arachnids, because they helped me,
to get my apartment roach free, completely, finally.

Believe it or not, this is a true story.

Premium Member Something's Wrong

Are crack babies born to addiction
a result of love's contradiction?
And what reality rules your life
a happy home, a husband or wife?

Is it cottages, cars, and riches,
or alleyways, gutters, and ditches?
And politicians earning your votes
or spending taxes on trips and boats.

The rich preach about helping the poor
but hoard the keys that lock every door.
And preachers hear voices in their head
fleecing the crowd that's pushed to be led.

A destitute voice carries no weight,
effectively silenced by its fate.
For in this world of contempt and greed,
poor people starve while the wealthy feed.

We unashamedly embrace hate
in our hurry to exterminate.
But, when one dies as a human bomb,
doesn't that indicate something's wrong?

Premium Member Springtime Weeds

Growing weeds are any gardener's abomination.
My lawn mower appears to want to stay in hibernation.
I can't seem to get the old motor to run.
This is frustrating, and making me come undone.
The municipality says the grass is too high today.
They threaten to send a summons and fine my way.

I want to exterminate all the dandelions and chickweed.
Crabgrass and wild onions are also things I don't need.
There are other undesirable things on the lawn like clover.
They have proliferated themselves just about all over.
What I want is a nice thick green lawn.
When that is accomplished, my life can go on.
