Why do I self-express and share, indeed?
          For I am but a "dark and troubled seed" ...
               And should my pen let loose upon a page
     You're apt to see that INK is what I bleed

I strive to layer phrases, fresh and free
          Breathtaking depth ... with ambiguity
               Using words in ways that paint a scene
     Not getting lost in too much imagery

I study all the greats and take to heart
          The classic script and detail of their art
               To blend it with a modern form, my own
     A trademark style, unique and set apart

I keep my child's heart in good repair
          And plunge my soul as deeply as I dare
               For both those aims are critical to verse
     And writing with an insight that is rare

To tell you straight, the talent isn't mine
          It comes from elsewhere, I am just a vine
               But blessed am I to have received the gift
     And humbled to be part of grand design

Still, if I had to give you just one jewel
          Imagination's STILL the grandest tool
               And if I could but give you just one MORE
     Incorporate in ALL ... the Golden Rule. ;-)

Never Expressed

There's a day coming when
                                             we will regret,
                                          Words never said.

                                     Missed opportunities for visits
                                               you never had.
                                         Loved ones gone to the
                                                  other side.

                                     Where ears will never hear,
                                             words never said.
                                        Sleep on my loved one,
                                            for I'm saying now,
                                        what I should have said

                                            Take heed my friend,
                                      Words said in anger will come
                                             back to haunt too.

                                      Say now what you want to say,
                                      tomorrow might be too late for you,
                                           When the curtain is drawn,
                                                Your chance  is gone.

Words Forbidden To Be Expressed

Words forbidden to be expressed
A dangerous fact to be disclosed
Making the whole world depressed
I am sorry that you are so obsessed
With the words never to be expressed
The words are secretly decomposed
Scattered around after being recomposed
Spread like bean paste after being compressed
Taste like sweet chilli that’s been reprocessed
Eaten by idiots who are systematised
The paste lost its nature but it’s flavour is militarised
For the nations, hatred was perfectly modernised
Effectively fighting in the war that was standardised
Such usable propaganda must be fully released
Please sleep on people and be hospitalised
Don’t worry, you will soon be desensitised

Words forbidden to be expressed
A dangerous fact to be disclosed
Making the universe so confused

Wake up, ladies who were hypnotized
Come out, gentlemen who were fictionalised
From where you were unfortunately misdiagnosed
Where “I love you” is forbidden to be expressed

Loneliness, That Was Love I Expressed

The waves faint sounds
Light cheerfully bounds
Bubbles meant to die on foreign lands

Odor of an old book
Hearing the clock tick
The cloudy eyes blink

Blowing the candle out
Smoke trails dissipate
In the darkness, pupils dilate

Emptiness, I was trapped in
Joy was converted into an illusion
Self-existence was forced to remain

By others, I was coldly accepted
While being warmly refused
Loneliness, that was love I expressed

Flatly Expressed

In the beginning the world was flat.
Nature was magical and that was that.
We expressed or selves with cave drawings and cuneiform too
Cuneiform was cool because it was new.
Later came sand script ant it was neat.
Except for its weight it couldn’t be beat.
Pharaohs maintained that the world was flat.
Nature was still magical and that was that.
Through the years things stayed mostly the same.
Scientists came along making themselves a name.
Soon folks were sailing the sea so blue.
Its’ roundness they all knew.
During the Renaissance artist turned up the heat.
The respect they gained was sweet.
The world knew it wasn’t flat.
The world of magic grew faint and that was that.
Science, literature and the arts grew.
The educational academies did too.
Cameras made artist feel obsolete.
Artist evolved to feel more complete.
The world got a little more abstract.
The artist was reborn and that’s a fact.
Impressionist challenged what we knew.
Expressionist had their day too.
Art for art’s sake is sweet.
Art’s expressive circle is nearly complete.
The mind’s not flat.
Expression is what you pull from your hat.

EXPRESSED CENSURE CRITICISM - -

All though I seek your approval;
I am certain to give you my best;
Never, the less I am in removal;
Above all ties to my conquests;

How shall I choose a choice?
And who shall listen;
When every sin has a different voice
What am I getting Inter-vision?

My mind is captive;
Take me as man I am;
My thoughts less attractive;
To wit here I stand;

Above all ties to my conquests;
As still I seek your approval;
I am certain to give you my best;
Judge me not nor allow me reproval;
Within the methodism,of this verse journalism;
I seek not expressed censured criticism;

Premium Member Love Expressed Is Love Rekindled

Love needs to be expressed in many forms, many ways, all the time.
Inaction, silence and neglect are love killers.
Love like a flower, needs to be nurtured and cared for.
The written word is a powerful mode of expression.
But the love letter has become a thing of the past.
However, the digital age heralds many new ways of expressing your love in words.
Don't just say the words, write them down and send them to express your love.

My heart bursts with love for you.
I fall in love with you over and over again.
Our immortal love is too short, an epic.
If you ask why I love you set aside days to listen.
To have you near to me is all I ask.
I will never find another, even a little bit like you.
Love's gravity and tug always pulls me towards you.
My most cherished moment is the minute, hour and day that I met you.
I can't stop smiling whenever a think of you.
My heart feels empty when I'm away from you.
Love begets love in buckets.
It was love at first sight, second, third, fourth, fifth sight and every sight thereafter the same
I always feel unworthy to love you.

Confuzed/Expressed

I can't talk to people without hiding what I really think.
Maybe it's because I don't really believe in what I'm saying, but that can't be true.
That's who I am -- strong in my thoughts and unpersuasive in my mind. No-one can influence
that!
Or maybe they can, maybe I'm not as strong as I thought I was.
I thought that I believes in everything that I thought.
I'm so lost. I don't know who I am any more.
Maybe they are the words of someone else that help the way I think, and the voice of
someone else that create the things I say.
Is there really someone else whom I rely on for the way I live my life?
Is this really my life?
Am I just the messenger?
Who am I?

Expressed

I’m pressed for time,
Impressed by mime,
Distressed, oppressed
And stressed by crime.

I’m best when I’m
On quest to climb;
Caressed by rhyme,
I’m in my prime.

LOVE EXPRESSED AT HEAVEN’S DOOR

As she died, a single tear rolled down cheek,
A few loved ones gathered around her bed.
Explosion of the sun — heaven did speak.
Her weary bones rest. To the Lord she’s wed.

A few loved ones gathered around her bed.
Moments before — dramatic lightning storm.
Her weary bones rest. To the Lord she’s wed.
Now she resides in God’s arms — safe and warm.

Moments before — dramatic lightning storm.
Reflecting in sunshine’s window — a deer.
Now she resides in God’s arms - safe and warm.
In awe, her kin see there’s nothing to fear.

Reflecting in sunshine’s window — a deer.
Explosion of the sun — heaven did speak!
In awe, her kin see there’s nothing to fear.
As she died — a single tear rolled down cheek.

Expressed Vessel

Corrugated box with floppy wings
howling from a gape--that
mournful dog.

My duty
manifests threads
unraveled by revelation

in Svetlana's isolated face laminated
on cardboard, pleading with me to
share a phantom dance as

her tension wanders in tepid
waters; distance compels skating
ambition until scandalous betrayal
spits brutal retribution, jealous
rage and sharpened jabs to expel

vicious silence.

He debates the
scoundrel in the mirror, eyes
defiant: refuse to surrender,

shred the doll and bundle
those discarded husks,
conceal the torment--
shed the flesh
down the
drain

to Truman Reservoir.

Daddy guards your journey
never vanquished,
yet balking,

Svetlana’s skull in
the trunk--
a boulder
too great to throw.

"Mommy will be okay,"
pins down his mantra.

Mercy secures wings
with a blabbering
tape gun.

My Love Can Not Be Expressed

My love for you can not be expressed in words
As they are not strong enough,
or powerful enough.

The word love isn’t right either
What I feel is so much more because you are so much more.

Everyone finds love eventually or wants to fall in love making love a common thing
This emotion is not common nor is it desired as it is painful

Perhaps it is a form of love but not the one from the fairytales
But more your dreams turned into nightmares

Finding the one and your hearts true desire,
This being the dream,
Evolving slowly into the nightmare,
As the harsh realisation that they do no love you back sinks in.

Sinking in deep within you hurting like a bullet stuck in slow motion tearing in and
through the centre of your body and soul never leaving but constantly twisting and tearing
and puncturing you heart.

I love you with such a passion and fire.

Simply your smile can cure me of any negativity.
Your love would cure me of any disease.
Your love could set me free from this pain .
