Best Excepted Poems

Ruby

My heart shaped ruby wishes to be loved and excepted,
Shining brightly for a single affection by one adored man,
Noticed and caressed has given the luster gleaming joy.

Gothic Blackness Once Again

I told my therapist I had a fall back position That I had saved the pills from my wife's death bed Enough pain killer to bring down an elephant Hiding in the back of Mary's closet Waiting for me if things go Gothic black again My therapist in a calm concerned tone of voice asked me to get rid of them Made me promise to do that as homework and I tried Today the the Firehouse excepted Mary's used and unused needles Then sent me back home with the rest Having brought my attention to these pills has brought them to life in my mind They know my name They have an intimate connection with Mary's pain They have made me remember it all again I will keep them in the trunk of the car tonight And tomorrow they will go to the dump One more shadow of darkness removed One more day of moving beyond the barricade of myself

Face Reality - Yes But

FACE REALITY - YES BUT

What is this world we see with eyes full closed?
As ‘real’, unless we mean by others shared
‘Untrue’, you say; ‘with my hand, cannot be disposed’
Yet my own ceiling clear, each detail bared

Patterned like the complex edge of Hudson Bay
Sea and ice as frozen lace, from Stratosphere
Still, past my walls I verdant land survey
Though every tree unmapped, all aspects clear

As that we call the real - (must be accepted!)
I don’t deny to consent what you call ‘true’
But doubt world-agreed be all - others excepted
Did not those bringing light once hold a solitary view

So pore and measure this world of men and mountains
But do not reject other spheres - may be radiant fountains

The Anticipation of Snow
David J Walker

No matter how old I grow
The anticipation of snow
Beckons the memories of my feet
Deep in rubber boots
We called galoshes
Stepping into a virgin white
World of crisp cold
The crunching sound of
Crushing snow to the ground
Below leaving the footprints of tread
Evidence of boys and girls
In a playground world of winter
The picture window in the front room
Framed the storm from the warmness of
Our house where falling snow is quietly accepted
Its joy is in the arrival
Its secrets in the style of survival
The bitterness excepted
And the face of each snowflake a
Fingertip printed in the icy touch of winter
No matter how much may fall
You cannot count them all
Banked by the snowplows at night

Premium Member The Curse of the Gypies

Underneath the light of the full moon, a she-creature
Prowls through the thickets wild.
Stalking quietly waiting for the canvas city to
Slumber into a lazy sleep, ever closer silent sleek black
Paws sneak forward ready to draw its vengeance.
She is the curse of the gypsies, made from the
Blood of a crimson star, which split apart and fell
To earth below.
Two small shards burnt through the forest canopy,
And cut deeply into the earth's soil itself.
Creations ground zero, for rebirth leaving behind
Two lunar figures, one of light, the other as
Dark as pitch, identical twins of a solar eclipse.
Spin did the wheels of the gypsy’s caravan, stopping nearby,
Finding these orphan’s of the skies, they became
Foundling's of the nomad’s tribe.
Oh beauty of the heavens did glow in the light
Of the bright child, as darkness’s black emptiness,
So burned within her ebony sister kindred.
These solar babies grew in power year by year,
Until thirteen summers and nights had passed by,
One day a great storm came to the tented world
Of the gypsies, flashing thunder and lightning,
Burned and tore at the traveling village.
The dark child crouched in shadows corner,
But the child of light emerged willing to sacrifice
Her life for those whom had saved hers.
Ascending upwards to appease the heavens
Itself the storm God, welcomed and excepted
This child of lights sacrifice.
But the child of darkness was angered, and
Took her revenge on the gypsies, vowing to
Leave none alive.
So she follows them, stalking where ever their
Wheels cut into the damp soil, this is the curse
Of the gypsies.
So these nomads must keep moving always,
But on this night many souls shall know pure
Terror.
For through the thickets under bush,
She waits for the canvas town to sleep, then
Will strike, to satisfy the aching within her blackened heart.
By tooth and claw strike, to be illuminated by
The beautiful face of her sister twin, whom
Weeps amongst the heavens above,
In sorrow for those she herself loved so
Much, are killed, by the darkness of her
Own sister kindred.,
Whom roars with fiendish delight, at her victims
Pain, the black jaguar a lost child of a fallen star.

Premium Member My Special Friend and Neighbor

When we frist met she greeted me with so much Love and concern
I was excepted from the very beginning
She had a story to tell and I had a listening ear
We talked for hours and laughed for days
Some of the things she shared were amazing
We expressed our sorrors and our good times
Her hospitally was always full of grace and centered around me
When I walked in she had a smile on her face
As I think back at the things we shared and the short time
We had together it brings tears to my eyes and sadens me
She is gone now but I thank God for sending her to me
and the joyful memories that we shared will last for a life time

Happy Birthday

FOR MA’RUFAH ODETUNDUN
Humanitarianism, humility...be your professed mien, Hajiah.
Although sceptics abound everywhere with satirical sarcasm,
Project a sanguine character, prophylaxiating stray focusedness;
Perhaps all their perspiration will drain in the sewage of oblivion.
Yours will be coveted excellence on your path to professionalism.

Banality is the bane of life vis-a-vis the hereafter.
Indeed, even you’d cast preference on the inexhaustible eternity.
Rue you shall not for sardonic conceit in your benign character
Till you reach the peak of your professional career, against all odds.
Happy birthday should not be excepted from this didactic acrostic,
Dear, and healthiness, long life and progress—all constitute my wishes.
As you continue to lead a modest life deserving of emulation,
You shall be elevated to desired heights till you sight your expectations.

I’ve been adrift on the sea, a lost soul of ideal inspiration
Tossed asunder amongst realities harsh waves of the incomplete,
A disembarked being, caught at the mercy of a thundering riptide
Of indecision, floundering, drowning alone, with no life preserver
To cling upon!
Rolling waves crashing against my bare exposed mental flesh,
I’ve know the deeply threshing under currents of the starving mind,
Of the uninspired, the de-mused, without imaginations glory,
An orphaned child without thoughts infusion!
Once I disembarked on a sinking craft, a vessel without sail or wind,
Ideally wondering having no true course, or no dead reckonings landing
Point of reference!
A voiceless refuge unable to scream for help, to and fro so did
I just rock upon the waves of homeless, and helpless,
In this self- inflicted imprisonment so did this castaway dwell,
In this empty ocean, alone mariner aboard a sinking ship!
But than a far off light shown, it burned at my blind eyes,
With such brilliance did it so shine, as if by a magic I
Couldn’t understand or comprehended, my tiny boat
Find its way into a safe sheltering port, many open
Hands reached out to this lost soul and pulled me
Upwards towards inspirations dry land!
Voices spoke gently unto me in the whispering winds
Of imagination, your free here, you’ve come home
At last, soar, fly be at peace now drifter, you are welcome
Here amongst thy kindred!
Standing at the dock of acceptance, I turned and watched
My tiny ship torn apart by the hurling waves of change,
Then I realized that many others were still left on this
Ocean of aloneness, and how lucky I was to find my
Way home at last!
I’ve found my place in this big old world at last,
Here where I can express myself,
Amongst others whom have excepted me for myself,
On this island called the internet,
In a cyber-family, amongst my friends and kindred,
I’ve finally come home at last, in a place
Mixed with diversities beauty,
In this poetry soup of humanity!
Here I’ve tried my anchor, no more a wander,
Just a voyager remembering, looking upwards
At an inspirational sky and finally able to bath
In the guiding wake of my own imagination,
And sharing it with others of my own poetic
Experience, thank you for the welcoming,
I’m home at last!

Fool's Gold

Was a liar
A very clever one,
People excepted him,
Took him at face value,
Fitted in,
They seemed to like him,
Kept a low key,
Worked undercover,
Got himself a good name,
All the time weaving his web,
Pretending to be something he wasn’t,
On the surface, he shone
Underneath shallow,
He made a living
Out of pretense,
Earning plenty of money,
Thinking no one would suspect,
He continued without shame,
Thought he was great,
The real thing,
His life was a sham,
Fools gold deceived many,

Ode To Harmony and Serenity

From an inception lofty,
 high and above,
We were sent all,
 not a single one excepted,
low.

We were never on earth,
we knew then how to love,
Harmony and serenity,
where are you?
When to sow?

Harmony and serenity,
where are you?
Where to sow?

Down is the show,
the law,
the structure
and road.

Down is the coward,
the knave,
the brigand,
and the bad.

Down to earth,
downtodate,
slfish,
all of them
and no less;

The way is descending,
descending.
Where then to go?
We want ours to be ascending,
ascending as a lark's.

Harmony and serenity,
where are you?
Where are you?
Our eyes are searching for you,
filled with tears;

Our hearts are devoid of warmth,
fraught with layers.
Roses,
where are they?
Flowers,
making prayers;

But when winter comes,
when winter comes,
no fears.
Harmony and serenity,
where are you?
Where are you?
Harmony and serenity,
we are reaping the harvest;
Is it ripe?
Rich?
Is it fine?
Fruitful?
This harvest?

From now on,
nothing would ever be the same.
Rise.
From now on,
everything is truthful.
Not a body of lies.
Harmony and serenity,
where are you?
Where are you?

"And if the past is passed,
why moralize upon it?"
No one returned,
no one ascended.
Where is Jesus?
The Giants are gone.
But justice,
has it been done?
No need to weep.
No need to sigh deep.
Bright is the sun?
Harmony and serenity,
where are you?
Where are you?

From now on,
nothing would ever be the same.
Rise.
Nowhere are you to be found
Harmony and serenity.
Unless you are not within,
you are then pity?
Being your slave,
no other way but to pray and rise.

If you ever go to Munich for you must see
the church of our lady it's cathedral is
nestled in late gothic brick it's a beautiful
landmark there a symbol of such peace
the bricks so nicely placed like angels
were up all night performing these two
towered structures it enhanced my glory
the gold in the ceiling capturing
the smiles of the people surrounding this
beautiful faith dome pure compassion leaves
your soul landing in the heart of a stranger
causing a sense of family for loving always
one god knowing we are safe from satan
as you enter there's a dark imprint of a
foot print the teusfelstrict it is said
by local lore's to be the devils when he
challenged von pollen to build a nave
with out windows as he excepted
and so stands this enormous window
invisible to the naked eye

What's a Woman To Do

She could smell the scent of the other woman on him. A sickening musty, sweet smell.

She wanted to lunge at him and snatch out his cheating heart.

She wanted to scratch out his light brown roaming eyes.

She wanted to castrate him and put his member in a box and let it rot.

She wanted to chop off his hands that fumble over that hussy's
 body.

She wanted to saw off both of his feet that carried him to the place where they meet.

She wanted to put a hot iron to his luscious thick black lips.

Instead, she excepted his offensive lies.

She urges him to lie next to her.

She kissed his light brown eyes that looked at her longingly for

       forgiveness.

She kissed his warm luscious thick lips.

     She anxiously welcomed his caresses.

She could feel his throbbing manhood nudge at her feverish body.

     She was in flight.

Who Am I

I am that soul beyond flesh
I am more than just my curves
I am growing rapidly yet subtle
I am the gift from God to the womb that carried my body

That sperm that penetrated my SOUL designed by Our Heavenly Father
I am…
My own woman and human crush every day even though at times it can get so impossible
Ive carried so many personalities …No Im lying
I didn’t really have one from the Creator, too busy pleasing self absorbed souls

I didn’t know …….
Regardless I am beyond my fatal past and after effects, sadly they affect me effectively and painfully
I am through it all ,for I’ve Soul humbled lead and created by The Most High
For I am I have ,Me I have My identity through Christ whom I excepted and cleansed by His blood
My sins became rebuked, reborn repentance became stepping stone ,sitting on right side of God
Who AM I….

Don’t judge a book by its cover
Never disregard change for that is growth
Who am I
Soul Sister ,in flesh driven by The Holy Spirit
Yes Flesh is open to sin ,My heart only wants to be the seed of humanity wrapped by The Holy Ghost and the Gospel of Alpha and Omega
