Premium Member World Day Against Racism

You asked me the other day, my friend,
who I am and I replied:
I am you in another body!
Yes, it is true,
Look, how much the same we are,
No matter what, the color
The creed
The race
The status

Look,
I am born and I die
I suffer and I enjoy
I love and I hate, just
Like you!

I am a father, a brother, a son,
A mother, a sister, a daughter, just
Like you,

Happiness I seek,
Family to raise is my wish,
Peace to find I look for,
Just like you

I yearn
I abhor

I fear
I hope

I bleed
I heal,
Just like you,

I believe
I doubt

I accept
I refuse

I laugh
I cry,
just like you

We are alike
We are the same
We are brothers...

Children of a unique father.

Tell me,
My brother,
My friend,
My ally,
Why do we have to oppose,
To fight
To hurt
To destroy and
To eliminate
One another?

Are our seas really that narrow,
Our oceans that small,
Our lands so limited
To contain all of us?

Or

Is it the case that
Our hearts are not big enough
And our minds not so wide-open to
Enfold all mankind?

Listen to me, my other self:
It is up to us to change this world
We have inherited, with its virtues and vices,
History and culture
Flaws and merits
And
Try to make it
Better
Nobler
Kinder and more caring
By obliterating harmful beliefs,
Demolishing injurious divisions,
Destroying detrimental distrust,
Annihilating racism and eradicating
The erroneous feeling of poisonous superiority
For
To bring the dawn of a new loving world,
A world of acceptance
Of respect
Of justice
Of equality
Of love and
Of universal brotherhood

So as

With peace in our hearts, liberated we would be
From the past’s deleterious tribulations
That for myriads of years,
Have kept us, fighting one another!

Premium Member Garden of a Wounded Soul

Like an ebony rose in a province
of ivory and golden flowers,
you poisoned each peaceful petal
with your senseless scent of death.

You were never just another floret.
Was I a fool to sow your seed in
hope your roots would grow strong,
portraying saffron scarlet hues with
an emerald stalk flourishing with
verdant leaves in serene sapphire skies.

When winds blew too boorishly,
I held your supple sepal with bamboo hands,
so your sunshine spirit would not perish
to toxic storms from organic forces.
I was willingly the earth to your foundations,
but your breaths became too bitter,
stinging in selfish stubborn sympathies,
as wild weeds strangled your stalk.

We could have nourished nectar with
hungry insects in need of nurture,
but your grudge left behind
broken bridges with a trail of
crumbling caterpillars seeking wings.

Cuts from your thorns remain,
ingrained as internal inflictions,
but still I plant bulbs to bloom.
To create an oasis of graceful charm,
where blossoms of compassion
softly soothe petals of pardon
in a garden of a wounded soul.

Forgiveness is a heavenly light.
A radiant beacon illuminating
through a canopy of trees,
eradicating shadows of hatred you
left behind like excessive weeds.

A melody of redemption whispers in
harmonious refrains breaking chains
of regret with burdensome pains.
To let go is like maturing buds
releasing the grip of timeless hate,
as my meadows are a symbol of a
divine mantra only welcoming peace.

Convoy of Hope

Governments have been intent on
eradicating our rights one by one
Backing us in a corner with countless
threats with nowhere to run

Under the disguise of an experimental vaccine
that has not been proven to be safe
Mandating it, thus taking away our choice
leaves us all feeling the chafe

Canadian truckers decided to take a stand for freedom and created a freedom convoy
Which the government, Big Pharma
and the mainstream media are trying to destroy

At stake is our freedom of choice, our livelihoods
and the spirit of mankind
Totalitarian society will become a reality
if the masses remain blind

To Ottawa the truckers made their long trek
asking all mandates to be dropped
Reuniting humanity worldwide by the millions
with unity that can not be stopped

Peaceful demonstrations fueled by hope,
awareness and an outpouring of love
That our freedoms will be rightly restored
with the grace of God above

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Milkyway

I am the MILKY WAY.

I am Mechanically Meticulous,
Maneuvering my way through life with
Malleability,
not showing the true Masterpiece of my Mind
(complex like the Milky Way).

I am an Interworking of
1% Idiocracy,
10% Ineluctable,
15% Incisiveness,
5% Insufficient,
7.5% Insatiable,
2.5% Invisible,
10% Infantile,
and
50% Incomprehensible,
101% of Ian
 (A puzzle).

I am a Lionheart Lilium
Lucidly blossoming into a
Lackadaisical dimension
in which I Long to Liberate
my ideas from the Lucifer-Likeness of
the universe that I Live in
(My ideas are being confined).

I am a Kinetic force to be reckoned with,
put on a Kollision Kourse from
Konception to Katastrophe
eradicating those in my way,
(I can’t be stopped)

I am Young,
Yearning for wisdom ahead of my Years,
Yet Yoked by the Youth-like longing
of my elders
(caged by the generations of adults wishing to be a child, keeping me child-like).

I am Weary,
Wainscoted with Worry,
by the World I once Welcomed With Wide arms,
Wondering When the Worries created by my past Will
Wither away
(distressed by my past).

I Am An Adventurous
Apollo 1,
Abstracted then Awakened by the
Annihilation of myself,
forced to Admit
Absolute failure,
but then Amazed by the gate of success
(I do Fail, but I must learn from failure).

I am Yawning
at the Earth’s attempt to impress me,
Yet I Yell eternally
at it’s ignorance to the
great wonder that I contain.

I am the MILKY WAY.

Premium Member Soul Speak

Line of inquiry

"I Am as I Am complete
Though ego opines otherwise
Invoking grace we feel God’s heartbeat
What else does there remain for us to realise"

If ego was a season
it would be like the summer sun,
ascending and descending,
but without protection,
if you become too consumed -
you only end up being burned.

My soul is like spring,
always resurfacing after the big freeze,
looking for shelter against self absorbed rays.

My spirit is a voiceless orchestra,
yearning to connect through scriptures,
eradicating the ghostly echoes of ego,
composing a melody of honeyed harmony.

In a world of nonstop waterfalls,
I seek serene streams,
in silence and stillness,
where the 'true self' resides.
Temptation is a crimson illusion,
attempting to seduce us inside a
sea of self - admiration,
where the feather minded submerge.

Life is bittersweet,
surrounded by fake guides and stone saints,
so I persevere to escape this prison,
listening to the call of sincerity,
hoping the path opens before me,
as I cannot breathe without a heartbeat
and where, once, there was only barren fields,
meadows of verdant, vibrant visions now prosper.

Ego is the nemesis of my existence,
so my soul becomes unsighted to its intoxication
and when it dies, spirit transcends,
connecting with the ultimate truth of divinity.

Mental Massacre

My mind opened releasing the remnants of Pandora’s Box
Revealing the wraths of a complete paradox
Eradicating the thought process like a mental massacre
Destroying your clarity until your notions are obscure
Slaughtering your expressions, total annihilation
Bludgeoning your lines, poetic eradication
Devouring your preconception, with utter devastation
Eliminating your disposition, enlightened extermination
Butchering your reason with a brutal bloodbath
Lyrics linger in limbo lost in the aftermath
Slaying your insight with catastrophic rhymes
Conscious collapsin' corpses fallin' with the times
A war of words, our philosophies collide
Verses fall victim to a vicious verbal genocide

Premium Member Rainbow Whimsy Inspired By Catch the Rainbow

Written: December 11, 2024, for contest Sponsored by: Robert James Liguori
                         ________________________________

When dusk strikes, the magic swirls,
In the grasp of dawn, a wispy heart twirls.
The shades waltz as a painter brush whirls,
In a vacuum night, dream faintly furls.

We whimsey we'd catch the rainbow past,
Ride the wind whispers in a peaceful blast.
Sail aboard ships of wonder over skies so vast,
Still, life's intricate yarn holds shadows cast.

With each glitter and moonbeam embrace,
Warm mutters soothe, eradicating the trace.
A crystalline elixir, hope unending grace,
In a chaotic world, I'll waltz amid the space.

So hear the moon croon, as the world feels right,
Through lilac and lavender, our hopes bear flight.
In the bittersweet dance of our love’s pure light,
We embrace the shades, and in time, we unite.

From periwinkle skies, where stars softly bite,
To obsidian hoops, in the gloom of the night.
The elixir of life offers sweet, gentle height,
And while sunrise glows, we dream in spite.

The crimson and green, in dawn’s golden light,
As hope drips from vials, crystalline and bright.
With each ebbing moment, pain feels contrite,
Yet dreams linger on, with a soft, tender bite.

So bless me, as the dawn’s light breaks,
With glimmers of hope that the dawn makes.
In every hue, from crimson to blue ice flakes,
A kaleidoscope of dreams, pure and slake.

From blue skies to lavender pillows,
I shall find my path home by shadows.
In this upholstery of wonderful bliss,
So bless me, bless me, with dawn kiss.

Premium Member Who Are We At Our Core

              _______________________________________

How may burns, scars, or dark lines identify me?
How can a red face or tan skin define my destiny?
Seek decay-proof goods akin to diamond display.
Despite affluence, cherish your spirit and pray.

There exists no absolute upper or lower limit.
Aside from that, the present moment is merit.
I can't deny that I'm here looking out, outscore.
Without the proper gear, who am I at my core?

Shy roses, withering, rest kindly below the sky.
A graceful early sun dispels all fears on display.
Leisure, love, and a longing for self-awareness.
Goals, prayers, state of mind, glee, and sadness.

Assign skills and wisdom to acquire optimism.
"Transcending Facts" overcomes dogmatism.
Fearing or trusting shock, your desire to evolve.
We relish the reprieve when our youth resolve.

As you sigh, listen to tales of grace in the rustle.
Under the stardust pledges, faith, and beats bevel.
Truly genuine, unspoken, and enduringly sincere.
It usually sounds airy and conveys a loud *****.

Our minds and views tend to be tough to grasp.
Risks and an unending waltzing of longing clasp.
Our inner child gets to freely explore his curiosity.
Even with age, life nurtures us with its complexity.

Enticing peace, eradicating chauvinism and gloom.
Mossy floors, buried in the wickedness of bloom.
Wrens and ravens on shaky twigs call for calm souls.
Who can discern the euphoria in a dewdrop's calls?

The splendor of passion ignites a desire to bind.
Forming bonds to offer ease and peace of mind.
Others show severe thirst; they're ravenous.
They'll feel it takes less to remain rapturous.

My soul is anxious to surrender the uneasy part.
Slices of me—kind, delicate, and graceful heart.
My blood flooded with God's only tender mercy.
Light shards, mixed with shining flames, calmly.

The radiant light angels restore is who we are.
Glorious hope, faith, and love, God's ideal debar.
Creating a tale over the passion we feel at heart.
Is the ideal love suited to releasing all at the start?

Verlena’s destiny calls for a perfected cause.
In the aura of amazing grace via a walk of faith, is her voice.
At the Tombs of Saints, she proclaims her life and choice.
She will not be suppressed.
She will uplift her existence to what is best, that which is rightful.

During the colonial time the thinking of man, in this part of the world, was based on intelligence.
He defined the structure for equality yet, enslavement.
He emancipated yet, civil entrapment.
He became mobile, nevertheless, systematic discrimination formed.
And, as all of this was taking place, founding fathers were manifesting destiny.

The lens of the future is today.
Hasten through transgression Verlena is anointed to be wise.
The knowledge endowed has awarded her insight to the Social Sciences.
She is the founder of a New School of Thought – The School of Social Theology.

Therefore, I am Social Theorem of today.
A Social Scientist generalization, which evolved from the acumen of history titivated.
Insofar as Verlena S. Walker will henceforward to remove the troubles of the world,
Therein; a socio-political socio-religious structure has formed.

My Unique Line : Jsl -------A Day of Ones In the Sun---

Inundating radiant sunshine beams
down on my face
fervently tracing crows feet
nearing the frown I can taste

obliterating tear streaks
transmitting them
into the depths of outer space
introducing an iridescent spectrum
of piercing waves
golden ears fear in the race

Electromagnetic oscillation
inspiring me to rely
religiously
upon solar energy
photosynthesis
eradicating unwanted toxins
by chasing them
vehemently

So on this sacred date of "ONE"…
negative energy is trumped
by the positive tsunami
of the sun

and as she dares me
to stare into her face of grace
ninety three million miles away…
I sigh
as her radiance blasts my face
in such a merciful way
suddenly my shaking knees
give way to an epiphany
that this day is laced with sanctity

Finally
the world's eyes feast upon
an auspicious
uniformed alignment
five ones standing side by side
gold adorned
a spiritual aspirant

making change the world will see...

"The Sun's Seven"
pronouncing a unified spirituality

Black Helicopters Overhead

i hope you don't mind
if I wander in through your front door
and reset your clocks to headlight savings
life requires humor he said to the lens grinders
as he rode his all terrain moon beam to heaven
where they were eradicating stupidity with fairy tales
same **** greater magnification was basically it
slipped on their own icy hearts
applying one clever artifice after another
but after all one wants to hasten
the modern world along clippity clop
impediments to traffic flow were to be shot
what happened next is not in the dictionary
which is fine don't get me wrong
beats the nuts off hunger
but the world is not nice anymore
isolated pockets of rebellion perhaps
out in the bleak lizard sands hanging from a tree
but the rest stuffed with foam peanuts
that could turn you to ballroom dancing
your narrator being the test case
for daisy picking the numbers the samples the statistics
I love you just the same she whispered after the operation
the entire ABC unit was called in from the chalk mines
and the XYZ crew was called in from the slate quarry
but no amount of preparation could have warned them
of the melancholic yet piquant sagging of standards
his mind had turned upon itself out of shame and envy
he had an entire city in his head
that wasn’t in Architectural Digest
honkings sirens gunfire breaking glass
spasms and outbursts and phobias and anxieties and
compulgings and obsessities and hallucinotions and
mysterias and distortoons and damplifications and
twitchings and itchings and may I add bowel flux
we haven't even begun to look at his libido
which had shrunk from a blacksmith's forge of intensity
to the vague expectation of an afternoon nap
better than living the prelude to a beheading
you decide if hiding in the bushes permanently
like a grinning jack in the box with a message
is the same as dancing through the forest
dressed in leaves and emeralds
pantomime after all is deception
random at first then shapes intervene
there is no random he said over and over in proof
they say the devil spoke Hebrew
and Popeye smoked his spinach
a contemporary exercise in
signal location

Premium Member Goodbye Forever

Slowly so sneakily you crept into my life
Destroying everything in your path
You simply don’t care do you?
Leaving your slime everywhere
Eradicating everything you touch
Moving on to your next innocent victim
You revolt me and I detest the sight of you
I heaved when I saw you today
Well I’ve got news for you
I know your little game and ITS OVER
I’ve put the pellets down and you are trapped
Goodbye slug forever

The Children Laughter

Beautiful as they are, so is their laughter and smiles
Echoing noise of melody throughout the open sky,
Touching the hearts of parents everywhere, eradicating despair
The children laughter often makes your day,
In spite of the hard work you put in today
It’s a delight to observe their faces as their laughter fills the air
Bringing rays of sunshine even on a cloudy day
Laughter of gladness, laughter of joy naturally flows from within
Never a dull moment and is harmonious to the ear
A Child’s laughter brings a mother’s joy any time anywhere.
Often changing the mood when there is sadness in the air
The beauty of the children laughter tell of
The happiness of their heart
With sparkles in their eyes and a laughter that cannot be denied
Is a tribute to a mothers’ ear
Little children everywhere, filled this earth with pleasant cheer

Premium Member Broken World

The world became broken
The moment words were spoken

An eradicating epiphany
Or perhaps a silent symphony

Life is simply a caricature of death
We're dead with our very first breath

With red tape wrapped around our minds
We're hindered by beliefs like blinds

For in this world there is no haven
Only a fiery pit for the callous and craven

And if I spark a brazen phrase
To light the path through this darkened maze

Perhaps I'll burden your illusion of life
By raising the curtain on a world full of strife

There is no justice for the homeless and poor
Because we wear injustice as if it's de rigueur

This world is just a playground for despair and wars
When corruption and greed are the government's favorite whores

All of my life I believed myself a pacifist
But in reality I was just a manic masochist

With an eradicating epiphany
Or perhaps a silent symphony

The world became broken
When inhumanity was awoken
