Line of inquiry "I Am as I Am complete Though ego opines otherwise Invoking grace we feel God’s heartbeat What else does there remain for us to realise" If ego was a season it would be like the summer sun, ascending and descending, but without protection, if you become too consumed - you only end up being burned. My soul is like spring, always resurfacing after the big freeze, looking for shelter against self absorbed rays. My spirit is a voiceless orchestra, yearning to connect through scriptures, eradicating the ghostly echoes of ego, composing a melody of honeyed harmony. In a world of nonstop waterfalls, I seek serene streams, in silence and stillness, where the 'true self' resides. Temptation is a crimson illusion, attempting to seduce us inside a sea of self - admiration, where the feather minded submerge. Life is bittersweet, surrounded by fake guides and stone saints, so I persevere to escape this prison, listening to the call of sincerity, hoping the path opens before me, as I cannot breathe without a heartbeat and where, once, there was only barren fields, meadows of verdant, vibrant visions now prosper. Ego is the nemesis of my existence, so my soul becomes unsighted to its intoxication and when it dies, spirit transcends, connecting with the ultimate truth of divinity.

The notion of a "voiceless orchestra" and the yearning for a honeyed harmony is profound, as it speaks to the quiet but powerful longing to connect with something deeper than the surface-level noise of ego. I love how you describe silence and stillness as places where the 'true self' resides—there’s something so peaceful in that search for serenity amidst the chaos.

Silent One, You carried me within the heartbeat of your soul, through each vison , each emotion and each nuance of your deep perception. Your heart speaks.... you know innately where the serenity lies. Within..deep within. My favorite passage- so my soul becomes unsighted to its intoxication. Beautiful. Hugs to you, Susan :)

Dear silent one, this is powerful and emanates vulnerability and resilience and self acceptance amidst all in such a seamless manner: brilliant use of metaphors similes and creative diction here! I love the way youv interpreted the line of enquiry in such a soulful manner! I especially love the lines “ as I cannot breathe without a heartbeat and where, once, there was only barren fields, meadows of verdant, vibrant visions now prosper.” that made me feel so much and your alliteration game is so strong! Pleasure reading your work. Sending you light always. Best wishes

SO, every line is a conversation with your soul - a debate between ego and selflessness. While we need certain aspects of ego, like you said, it can become our unrelenting "nemesis!" Your imagery rolls out in each stanza with the strength of an incoming tide. Amazing and wonderful. Love your similes. Best wishes for the contest. Blessings as you seek for "the ultimate truth of divinity." I look forward to savoring your words again and again.
