Premium Member When Winter Enters the Heart

When winter enters the heart,
snowflakes gather in rosy chambers.
Like ghosts of crows-every breath throbbing.
Sluggish songs of longing and loneliness.
Over time the crows pile on,
my, my, how they live to pile on.
Like frost on the bones
bones of long-ago loves...

Suffocating songs, leaving an avalanched refrain.
While the soul is still flowing and howling.
Like an early winter stream-nobody dares to cross...
Those icy blue-eyed thinning veins.

There is a flock of warmth in every winter heart.
Buried beneath the dead songs of crow and time.
They just need a pinch of flint and pine.
To release the warmth from the glowing.

My, how they beat to release rose-budded songs...
from a million springs ago.

Premium Member Ghost of Your Presence Enters

Each night when looking into the night sky
there faraway it remains always that star sparkling
Breathless echoes enchanting whispers escape

Back over moonbeams floating within the cradle held
Inside the mirrored reflections dancing upon waves
starry eyed pearls colour from the rainbow out love

Death First Knocks, Fear Then Enters, Plea Given
Double sonnets, Part Two

Death thy bladed hand, I gladly let pierce
That my end be grand, and my faith be fierce
Hollow words you spoke, what good few days more
For tho' life is brief, beyond lies joy's shore.
Thy guile cunning dark, thy cleverness deep
In life made my mark, thy price far too steep
My faith my haven, thy path a dark room
Raven was feared, that was Poe's great doom.
I bid you welcome, Fate has wrote that hour
Fear not sad outcome, death holds no power
Please set thy fangs deep, man's end but a sleep
Faith's vows I will keep, dying- no tears weep.

~ May blessings gift leaving in sweetest dreams. ~
~ Gone the vagaries and sad human schemes. ~

Death may be - black darkness, seas a-churnin'
Amidst soil rot and high flames a-burnin'
Or other realms, welcoming our returning
Or fantasy of more, our deep yearning.
Shall my loss, grieve greatly those I cherish
As this mortal coil is doomed to perish
I pray, this Fate, that of human demise
Is but change to our soul thereby revise.
A slow sink in seas of imagination
A sad parting from our close relations
Or perhaps, just a step into the Light
Needed sleep away from dread, dark of night.

~ May blessings gift leaving in sweetest dreams. ~
~ Gone the vagaries and sad human schemes. ~

Sonnet(s)- Part Two

Note: Tale of Life, Fate And Death , written in four sonnets
Part Two, Double sonnets- Will faith hold power or temptation of having longer life rule. Continued from Part One, previously presented here(double sonnets).
A total of four connecting sonnets..

Second Note- I have decided to not change my usual way of presenting my poetry. I will continue as I have from the start adding notes and dates and presenting as I think best. Sharing more information to the readers, seems to me to be a net positive and in no way a negative.
That so many great poets here expressed that wisdom, in my blog convinced me .
And reveals how many great and truly dedicated poets/artists we have at this fine poetry site.

Till She Enters Carrying Her Head

My washing will not dry laid on the hedge
But I stay here nurturing a grudge
I rarely feel one so I must retain
The nasty feeling and the horrid pain

Yet since it hurts me,I must be a fool
The errant friend will turn into a ghoul
I’ll hear her footsteps from my ancient bed
Till she enters carrying her head

Oh God lift up my ruminating curse
Let me have your grace or I’ll get worse
I do not wish to have a bitter heart
Grudges turn to dread; it’s hatred’s art

For if I learn destruction and its ways
Cruelty will have the final say

inspired by theme of MR contest

A smile shy across the room,
A frisson tingles as our glances mingle.
Words of warmth in whispers close,
As love enters my eyes.

Lips in passion pulsate,
Co-join,entwine as one.
Thoughts we shared,with souls unbared,
Then,commitment ties
Love launched by your eyes.

When death enters the
realm,
all else is forgotten
it brings everything into perspective

somehow the little things
seems so irrelevant
their importance almost become void
the significance of wrong doing and
past mishaps are stripped of their
power
to control our emotions of anger and
hate -

all we are left with are if only,
sadness and
so many questions---

*inspired by someone’s sudden
passing*

Coming quietly,
                                       into the darken room.
                                  Moving though the shadows,
                                      as does a cat
                                              in the night.

                                  Sliding bemeath cool sheets,
                                         and touching,
                                     as though each act
                                       had been rehearsed
                                   a thousand times.

                                   When the daylight enters,
                                         and you have gone.
                                   Leaving only rumpled sheets
                                         where you had laid.

B.R.E.A.K.(Bad Relationship Enters a Koma) Part 1

I gotta be honest I didn't think we'd go good together

From disliking each other to standing in sub-zero weather

Little did I know I was forever in the prescence of my future wifey

I messed up multiple times, I bet you wanted to fight

I cheated on you because of your past and that wasn't right

Sublimenal corrections are in order

You promised to have my daughter

Or yet my son

Thousands of hours passed since our love begun

Now karma has the audacity to step to my front door

I felt what you felt and I beg you boo no more

I'm not gonna pretend that I'm irreplacable

The love that we have for each other is impeccable

The house I built for you in my heart is unwreckable

You and I bouncing back from this BREAK is inevitable

The BREAK...

A Bad Relationship Enters A Koma

Encased in doubt we are, I can't smell the aroma

Of your lip gloss when we lock lips

Of your breath when I pull your panties below your hips

But back to the BREAK, I feel like it is my blunder

If you hear my heart cry for you, it'll sound like a roar of thunder

The only thing I am trying to prove is I can't let you move

That is...on without me

Don't ever doubt me

Face your fears

I'm here to wipe your tears

I've always been in your shadow

Getting you back will be like winning the lotto

I don't have a car or a job, to take you on dates

But I bet a bus and a SS check will get us our dates

This ain't materialistic

Let's be realistic

I'm the only man alive you should be with

If not then take your pick

Me or Him

Other girls? Forget them

Deprived of attention is how I left you

Ignoring what we had was in fact special

Scared I was of being did bogus

I cheated on you what a hocus pocus

Love her I did, in love WITH her I wasn't

Laying in my bed thinking about it was not pleasant

Then it came out and I felt like a baby with a bottle

Then you forgave me so I pushed it to full throttle

Things went smooth for a while...

                                             wet fog enters trees
                                       clings upon dry dead leaves
                                             droplets water earth

B.R.E.A.K.(Bad Relationship Enters a Koma) Part 2

Until I had a nightmare and things got vile

It was you running from me on our wedding day

I yelled out baby please come back this way

For weeks that scene bothered me

Then my trust for you started living in poverty

I'll never forget that faceless man whose arms you ran to

Richard said I want her, Chris said I'm through

I had to figure out a way to not get hurt

Because behind my back I felt you being a jerk

You'd ask me about coming around

But I hated seeing your family memebers frown

Something told me to quit acting like a clown

Or this relationship will plunge to the ground

The gut feelings I was getting stopped me from wanting to eat

It was a sign I needed stomach room to digest defeat

He got his cake, my girl, your dates, ya'll hearts, and sex

I don't know what I'd do if you got his last name next

Your love I crave

Or my heart gets a grave

I'm on thin ice with you I see it in your face

Shall I fall through, it'll be a cold case

Now we must rebond, our relationship rectified

Together you and I must strategize

Multiple times I apologize

You see the sincerity in my eyes

Take care of your business then come back home

With me is where you belong

There will be signs under your nose

Of me about to propose

And then we see just how far our love goes

There is a reasonable explanation

Of our love taking a vacation

Coming back to me soon is a strong contemplation

Infinite infactuation

With this situation

No longer your mind has investigations

We evolve around each other like circumnavigation

We migrated from friendship our destiny's manifestation

A flower you completed fertilization and pollination

On a love cruise we ride to an unknown destination

You are my mother

I am your brother

You are my sister

Love off the scale of Richter

Death to the attitude

Baby

Love longer than longitude

Premium Member When Doubt Enters

If you struggle to understand me
You are not alone with this thought
Need a moment to confirm and agree
A questioned mind steals what can't be bought

Friend is the name for those you always trust
I'm not saying that you do or you don't
Sailing on winds of relationship of rust
Right behind an old sinking ship of won't

Behind such reasons, the answers you seek
Like two rivers once branched to the sea
A current we travel both believe weak
Bridge the gaps between doubt or breaks free

Over the years we have decided our fate
Troubled not by the decisions we've made
Water flows freely when feelings stagnate
I came to the conclusion emotions fade

Will we ever know if truth was found
Ease pain from a continued troubled past
Your life and mine soon buried in the ground
Mind that our lives were always miscast

Death First Knocks, Fear Then Enters, Plea Given
(Double sonnets- Part One)

Cold hand of death, thy touch arrives too soon
Weakens my breath, sorrows my tragic tune
Thy blow that hits hard, thy strike will deny
More years to this bard, yet gift saddest skies
Alas! Will not thy deed, be a great waste
Thy kiss, I have no need, its bitter taste
Deep bite of thy fangs, this heart fails to awe
Bittersweet death pangs, where true love recalls
Life was oft honey-sweet, days pure and true
Pray dawn we meet, rather than I curse you
Stay thy hand one hour, tis but a small plea
Let me greet faith's power, then finish me
Now friend, your silence speaks, I shed no tears
Moment I was weak, faith now allays fears

~ Death comes with a hiss, to give its reply ~
~ Where came such bliss, that soul ceases to cry~

Fear me the more, I hold thy mortal coil
Life has no soft shore, man sprang from earth's soil
Thy spirit rebels, this fate thy wrongs bring
Death offers its hells, dare thee to now sing
Thy request I grant, gifting thee a week
If vows thee recant, and curse as you speak
Bow to my power, I death ruleth all
I gift thee more hours, walk in my dark halls
One week I return, more time thee may earn
My deadly flame burns, thy love I so spurn
Then you must submit, curse thy day of birth
I have thus seen fit, to measure thy worth
Giveth me your praise, bow to my great strength
Life is a maze, thine I can give more length.

~ Away Death has flown, human spirit asks ~
~ Have I been shown, glimpse behind death's black-mask ~
