Living in a masquerade
Hiding our truths in the shade
Veiled Behind electronic devices
The Physical world Minimises

Concealed behind a blue and white light
No melatonin released at night
Our brains don’t accept it’s time to sleep
And every day we’re on repeat

A vicious cycle ceases to stop
When hid behind our phones and lap top

Wanting to be something we’re not
Living life through a mobile robot
Pupils straining , brains rearranging
Photograph your food , words misconstrued

We used to wear watches and read paper maps
Took photos with cameras , had real contact
We spent Summer days out in the fresh air , riding our bikes with the wind in our hair

Simulation , stimulation lost inside a lie
Isolation, modification , apps that beautify
Lacking essential social skills
Online Casino gives you thrills

Book shops closing , hackers disclosing
Filters , snaps of zombies posing
Selfie sticks and brains decomposing
Judging ourselves With an air of self loathing

Expectations of Instant gratification
Vulnerable souls face Victimisation
Predators and bullies target their prey
Illicit pictures on display

Conversations overthrown
Surrounded by people
Yet still quite alone

With one selfish text lives become wrecked
Took your eyes off the road just for a sec
Sirens arriving , little chance of surviving
All because of your self-absorbed driving

We hold it dearer than humanity
Ignorant and lost at sea
We need to find our way back to land
And release these crutches from our hands

Oh, latest iPad, may I hang thee,
From the nearest garden tree!

A Grinch, thou art and nothing more.
Causing me, endless problems galore!

As always, Safari is to blame?
Almost a tune, that puts me to shame.

Why is it I , who is always at fault?
I dream of joyful days of saddleshoes
and malts.

Of humanity speaking, face to face.
And of being social, was of no disgrace!

Typewriters and mail, oh how I love!
This electronic age, hardly hand in my glove.

I miss the aroma of fresh, pencil shavings.
Thus goes, my off the wall nightly ravings.

People no longer look at the beauty of one
another.
Pasty- faced countenances adoring their beloved,
electronic other !

A ghost faced, global society?
Which dreams a worthless vaccine
can save humanity?

I despise propopganda with my entire being.
And on our devices, is all right we are seeeing.

Premium Member Mom, In the Electronic Age

She's ninety-one, she doesn't get
electronic things and such.
She can mess up any device
with just a look or touch.

Yes, things change as years go by
but Mom's not one of those.
We steer her clear of newish things.
That's just the way it goes.

We gave up trying to log her on
to the computer at my house.
A battle of wills, it did ensue
between Mom and the computer mouse.

It was a war she could not win.
Frustration was the name of the day.
The cell phone was our next attempt,
which also failed in a very big way.

Remote control buttons are covered up.
Only the bare minimum can be seen
because when she starts pushing them all
her language becomes obscene.

So, its a basic T.V. and phone for her.
She really doesn't care too much.
She's ninety-one and doesn't get
electronic things and such.

Electronic Robotics On the Office Floor

Human way to just dictate
Robotics way to translate
Technology being a relay
No physical office workers to be there
Robotics will be the new twist
This is something no one will miss
Efficiency faster than human labor
Dictation will be more of a snap
There will be even time to research a destination map
Business letters electronically typed by using your voice
How the business letters are arranged being your choice
Imagine financial statements being precise to the T
Everything ready for presentation for all to see
Human speed won’t be needed anymore
Labor physical employees will be given the open door
Office automation being office technology of tomorrow
But to the human employee force meaning sorrow
Technology being on the move
Efficiency in precise and decisions in never have to think twice.

Premium Member Electronic Peddlers

A Roto-dent toothbrush of mine
Once said “Where the heck did you dine?’
there’s bits of Swiss chard
Next too white fried cod
And pumpkin seeds by your canine?

Just then the cell phone ding-a-lings
calls out “I’ve got just the thing!’
that new water pick
will soon do the trick
“Howdy-Do DING-A-LING-ling?”

Electronic Cupid

The cold and certain fog of loneliness,
Leaving me sordid, in hollow unrest.
I found my pining to be most dreadful.
Though I churned the oleo, still grateful.

“Dear Breeze!” I gasped, “where hither my angel!?!”
‘The highway my son, send her an e-mail.’
“Electronic Cupid?” “Are you quite sure!?!”
‘One last letter, one last song, one last chord.’

Gather my gumption and gather my grace,
I’ll send her questions. What a pretty face.
At last, I hit "Send", my taut heart holding,
Then I sat in the shadows, waiting… waiting...

And from behind the curtains a white dove,
Gave me the chance to have the life I love.

Electronic Distance

In the hushed veil of night, she sits
resilient, an inviolate star
amid the silent anarchy of my dreams..

O Lord,
may I not look upon her beauty's light,
but from an electronic distance?

Electronic Shock

Give It Away
Living circuit, a long bamboo.
A heavy weight
Weapons Rise
Punch from the sky
An untold story
Henderson Money Maker
Soft like foam. Soft like chocolate
We lie to here, thus more.

Node out if Trump
     pad hiz way...
this scrivener would
     batten down in skidrow
with the missus,
    the latter who would veto
such misery, none
     the less, she would

     most likely experience
a sense of helplessness too,
which poetic title just came
     to mum mind, cuz panic
     stricken thoughts rue
asper what if that figurative
     wellspring of government
     small largesse

     (electronically deposited
     beginning of each month)

sink lee forcing me out
     onto the brutally cold
     bleak domain queue
wing up to the next

walking all the
     way there (devoid
     of money, would disallow
     choice to drive or access
public transit), ooh
such hardship would

     constitute an offal
     spell, which more
     likely, would find me
dead aah with new
more hardship,

     worse...stuck in rat

Unitarian, though of Jew

     though aye knew

nary a whit aboot Semitic culture,
I maze well high tail north
     in search for cold

calling out across the
     miles of frozen tundra
"YOU HOO...LUCY?...DESI?...

     of course irritable bowel

     the middle of nowhere
with mush aboot doo doo
on my mind, and/or
     same in his pants!

The Last Electronic Heart Beat

The last electronic heart beat,
My last breath was sure to follow.

A hand reached down from heaven,
And I stepped into the hollow.

Though the body I once occupied,
Has died and passed away.

My soul had long departed,
And is well upon its way

The only thing that pain’s me now,
Is I have left you dear behind.

But it hurts to have left someone,
So warm hearted and so kind.

But the world is at no loss,
As theirs new life to take my place

Just a child’s first breath,
Will restore the human race

Premium Member Our Current Electronic Station

If you have to do anything in furious moderation,
Please do not let it be electronic, I-pad automation.
The techno-magic- facetime and texting surely fits our station.
Keeping us in a perpetual state of nonhuman communication.
If you do not know this already, you are on a mind-less vacation
Living in a cave with bears, who are also in a state of hibernation.

Electronic Filing

For every night every every other night does the moonlight shine in or browsers for new opening's,

For all I stand for is simply things what make for the examdots of spread sheets,

Man I am man I held as man I stand,

Can one as a man be to open to necessary to label a sheet without the consistent of the holder,

Man I am man I held as man I stand,

To read between the lines not truthfully or bashful to hold assessment together,

Is that not a bonding folder hack off and cheer to all,

But what hold truth of holding on to making two.

Electronic Assassinations

It was a strange day when I realized
I couldn't talk to strangers anymore
the connection I had with them seemed to be disabled
seems I'd been kick out through some unacceptable door
free speech and opinions where no longer enabled
and a blank white screen was all I had
there was a message but no warning
of the disconnection that was coming
concerning the why's, the wherefore and what for
no agreement or dissension done with no discussion
deleted from my family and deleted from my children
deleted from my strangers and deleted from my friends
seems the easy click of being deleted
had this repercussion which effected us all
no more different ways to see things
and no more dangerous information
posted to my wall
this wasn't some theory of conspiracy
this was a reality
I could offer no resistance
I had simply vanished into the stillness
by electronic assassinations that keeps the voices of a difference
no longer in existence
seems that assassination is always the preferred method of silence
by digital excommunication
or a bullet to the brain then
remember Luther King and J.F.K.
cover ups just happen every day
a red flag to the people
telling them yes this could happen to you to
so you better keep your mouth shut all the same
tone it down and keep it quiet
don't ruffle up the censors feathers
remember the fact checkers
are there to monitor your call
so never talk to strangers
never support your friends
don't ever get angry
don't tell the truth alternatively
don't say for instance twenty one thousand children
are dying every single day
don't say anything about starvation
don't try to prick the global conscience
don't mention political corruption
or child abuse collusion
cover ups seem to happen anyway
don't share your thoughts with anyone
don't you dare to ruffle the censors feathers
remember the fact checkers
are there to monitor your call
so just shut up and get yourself on board
don't question anything
keep a thumbs up for the narrative
tow the line or you'll find yourself deleted
permanently disabled
no longer enabled
for the benefit of us all
