Best Egotistic Poems
When we search for answers from egotistic minds,
life is full of meaningless questions that lead us nowhere.
You sabotaged the sandman who brought me my dreams,
corrupting and confusing the clarity of my conscience.
In a world of betrayal, I thought you were my
saviour,
but your promises were sworn from a throne of lies -
where you perch as the king of false pretences.
Tired from being a victim of your insecurities,
I am not your mistake nor your abandoned
trauma.
Fate led my empathic sanity into your labyrinth of splintered hollowness,
confining me within a soulless sphere of unfair
madness,
yet, I still remember how you pledged to show me the moon -
falsehoods which led to an eternal eclipse for my eyes.
You stole the silver sewn with perfectly metered syllables,
calming the storm I carry in cacophonous silence,
but now, all I see is a megalomaniac monster, draped in rose tones of synthetic rhodolite, pretending to be an ivory dove in a horizon of vicious vultures,
hiding behind a decaying province of black petunias.
Your synthetic smile veils your cruel character, afraid that the vermilion you paint across your
sunsets,
will reveal the poison you fed my paralyzed soul.
My ink will always portray your true parasite persona,
about your attempts to assassinate my authentic aroma,
as now i blossom in meadows without your
toxic touch.
" Oh, you thoughtless and egotistic creatures that
call yourselves humans.
You, who are daily complaining of the floods that
inundate, your lands, your cities, your streets, and
your homes.
Have you not yet understood that all this water is
nothing else but my tears caused by the pain
inflicted by your blasphemous and barbaric ways upon
my once fertile and pristine face? "
Thus spoke Mother Earth and then released her tears!

they lurk in corners, safe and dark
until they decide to growl and bark
then point an ugly old crooked finger
spittle drooling on the chin, they linger
arguing any point for arguments sake
no sense do they ever seem to make
they pretend to be a master know-it-all
a braying donkey left too long in its stall
always insisting to have the last word
looking like fools, they are quite absurd
these egotistic imbeciles act quite spastic
the pretenders who are all made of plastic
Is my fate to go on living in this impervious place
where everyone dons a mask to conceal his face?
I'm floundering in this troubling tenure of time,
in which no one understands the rhythm of rhyme.
I need to search the deepest corners of my mind
for a region where oblivion is no longer defined.
I hunger to locate a habitat where I can be me,
a sanctuary where my inhibitions can be set free.
Mankind has become such an abstract machine,
all walking to the beat of the same tambourine.
Egotistic are those blind to the needs of others.
A depth of indifference that stifles and smothers.
When did it happen, that it became a world of greed
where everyone wants more than they'll ever need?
Bump into me on the street. No one seems to care.
The oblivion in society is greater than I can bear.
I cling to the prospect of a world in which I behold,
a race of benevolent humans, in stories long foretold,
where no disguise is ever worn to conceal a feeling,
and no secrets are kept for embarrassing revealing.
If there is a place where these human qualities exist,
it's an Eden in which I could more than just subsist.
I wish to withdraw from this callous, obdurate place,
to live where people do not behave as a robotic race.

The whole world is a series of miracles, but we're so used to them we call them ordinary things. ~ Hans Christian Anderson
In the aching of a silent tear,
Soaking through laughter’s voice,
Gentling the darkness, the fear,
With music who sings of our choice.
Rustling in the light, softly glowing,
Wonder beyond our imaginations,
With Him, there is a still knowing,
Breathing joy, the heart’s sensations.
In the hunger of a fervent yearning,
Risking, chancing, expressing…
Spirit’s prayer, the soul’s discerning,
Remembering the value of each blessing.
Dancing through the winds so faint,
Grace overflows the twilight dreams,
Wise like the moon who has no complaint,
As she fades with her soundless beams.
Flowing on the seas, lulling the memoirs,
In soft pastels like the rainbow’s cloak,
Ordinary things glistening like the stars,
As they kiss away the dread night can provoke.
Pearls of compassion smile into the wind,
Washing away the heavy scars of doubt,
Destined for moments His love designed,
Fated to shine with devotion and never burn-out.
It is actually love that makes my life worthwhile.
Love I can’t describe invites me to give freely.
Without love inside, nothing can make me smile.
It is the love I give away that motivates me – REALLY!
In His life, Jesus taught us to think of others,
Refusing to be selfish and greedy, egotistic…
Because He taught us all about being brothers,
And, the humility He teaches is quite simplistic.
Love fully, with an open heart, unguarded by walls.
Listen to the gospel which reminds us to walk in grace.
Believe fully that Jesus comes when His child calls.
Know that this love He gives is a love no doubt can erase!
When I leave this world and meet the One who saves,
I pray that I can honestly say, my life was never ordinary,
Because He made us servants for Christ, never slaves…
With Him inside, there’s more love than necessary.
His love, His light, His gift of eternal life…
That is enough to cause me to be wise,
To give my heart and soul despite the strife.
Because, I know - one day, my soul will arise!
Sad to say,
it appears some days
the colors fade.
The bold and brave
red, white and blue caves
to lives given over to a multitude of graves.
The allegiance dies
while the inner heart cries
to question what is, what was our prize.
The political arena fails at every turn
while the constitution flames and burns
and Washington never seems to change or learn.
The people were once the voice
smothered by president and senates egotistic choice
as arresting of protester fail to alter the course.
An unsettling time rises once again
of disenchantment and contempt constrained
without resolve, message unheard though clear and plain.
Let the colors be bright and glow
deep blue with fifty white stars in rows
red and white wrapped in the democratic flow.
My Plea
This my plea O world
That drags the dream of peace
Through the mud of wickedness
Rise
From the egotistic slime to wash away
Self-centered muck
Loosen
Your profane feet of clay
From self-absorbed quick sand
Break through
The entitled self-interest of the arrhythmic heart
To the steady beat of the heart of all hearts
Release
Sludge filled veins of self-importance
To freely flow with innocence’s compassion
Lift up
The hands smothered by erupting ashes
Of the shameless vicious with sympathy
Immerse
Self-seeking vanity of the starving soul
Into the Samaritan’s fountain
Transform
The narcissistic selfie flower
With unfettered grace
This my plea for peace, O world
Sing the dream of dreams vision
Pray the prayer of prayers hope
Speak the speech of harmony
Live the life of peace.

Where his loyalties lay is not with me
therefore I think he’s untrustworthy,
Strong feeling of support absent
from a bond that was well meant…
Though that’s OK ‘cause I don’t trust anyone anyway.
Compromise he was not taught
empathy is near to naught,
No middle ground, no give or take
agreeance on he does forsake…
Though that’s OK ‘cause I don’t depend on anyone anyway.
Egotistic, boastful, vain
selfish for to only gain,
Don’t understand what's in his brain
though comprehend he won’t explain…
Though that’s OK ‘cause I love myself anyway.
To shed some light upon his flaws
know the kind and the cause…
To learn from him and awaken
much of him I have mistaken...
Though that's OK 'cause I'm only human anyway.
Egotistic no doubt about it
Moody that cant be denied
Outrageous with all the trimmings
Tempting with thought and word
Inspiring in times of need
Organised well close any way
Noisy, the life of every party.
Scared to reveal your reality
So many emotions tangled tight
We wear them all the time
Some we hide so no one sees
What emotions flow through you today?
Americans, Algerians, Australian aborigines,
Corrupt leaders of the world involved in illegal activities.
Bloodthirsty bullies brazenly bombing bystanders,
Militaries full of corrupt army commanders.
Charities for children, carers in communities,
Third world countries deprived of equal opportunities.
Doctors, dentists, drugs, disability and depression,
An angry generation full of negative aggression.
Evil egotistic eejits entering elections,
Profiteering politicians with the right connections.
Foul mouthed fools fighting over fossil fuels,
Crooked government clowns creating their own rules.
Greedy gangs gambling, goons glamorising globalisation,
A sad and unfair planet, full of frustration.
History of horrific holocausts, hate crimes, hard times,
Skull and bones, secret societies, illuminati hand signs.
Isolation, intimidation, immigration, inaccurate information,
Hiroshima and Nagasaki still suffer from radiation.
Judge and jury, jam-packed jail cells,
Relentless rebels not doing it for the medals.
Kalashnikov culture, killers keep killing,
The reality of climate change is extremely chilling.
Lame loud mouthed liars living in luxury,
Corrupt politicians should be in custody.
Microchips, machine guns, military madness in the Middle East,
The rich get richer while homelessness continues to increase.
NASA, NATO, new world order, negative nonsense,
Celebrating Columbus Day, do they have any conscience?
Outrageous organisations occupying oil fields,
Double dealing leaders involved in shady deals.
Pitiful pessimists publishing pointless propaganda,
While aids and malaria increases in Uganda.
Quality over quantity or quantity over quality,
An overused phrase that’s used too commonly.
Radicals rallying, ready for revolution,
Air, water, soil and radioactive pollution.
Sick, sadistic sinners selfishly selling slaves,
Fredrick Douglass must be turning in his grave.
Terrible terrorists taking over territories,
Religious beliefs still creating enemies.
Unconscious unkind useless United Nations,
CNN plus Fox News equals bias news stations.
Various victims viciously victimised,
Deadly missiles falling from the skies.
Wars, weapons, whistles blowers on the World Wide Web,
While others sell their souls just to become a celeb.
Psychoanalysis
Vanity and ecstasy overwhelm the minds of people
Who gloat with conceit and display
Pompous arrogance as they parade themselves
Before the public as chosen vessels for behavioural
Rewards, determined by themselves as acceptable
To indulge in the belittling of others!
This defines their existence as noble in cause.
When they, the elite, rendezvous with fate
And perceive themselves to be unique,
Superior beings segregated from those
Who are weak-minded and susceptible
To interpretations and suggestions;
Who have no reason to exist, nor possess
Finesse attributes, and cannot be distinguished
From the herd mentality by the intellectual process
Of their egotistic minds—or so they think!
This precarious attitude can be judgmental
And dissociating; it invites dismal consequences.
Out of touch with reality and full of themselves,
They gallivant through branches in the tree of knowledge
And haphazardly arrive at false conclusions.
Based on a biased perception of the world
That only they can understand as rational,
It gives credence to psychoanalysis.
Sound familiar? And so you hope
Others will be hoodwinked by your antics
Into believing you are nonchalant when,
In actuality, you are stressed out and nervous
To be discovered as introverted.
You will not acquiesce to truthful criticism.
It is a depraved mind that derives pleasure
From the dissection of another.
Am I fated to go on living in this impervious place
where everyone wears a mask to conceal his face?
I'm floundering in this difficult period of time,
where no one understands the rhythm of rhyme.
I must search the deepest corners of my mind
for a region where oblivion cannot be defined.
I long to find a habitat where I can be me,
a sanctuary where my inhibitions are set free.

Love those who love you
Appreciate those who appreciate you
A dog never bites its owner
If a dog does just that, it ought to be gently put to sleep
Gentlemen, love women who love you
Ladies, love men who care for you
If someone doesn't like you, don't get upset
It’s fine or okay for someone not to like you
This is democracy 100, everyone is free to choose
Love those who are cordial or courteous to you
Disregard or ignore those who dislike or antagonize you
Be strong, vigilant, calm and cool, don't act like fools
The dog barks at its master, it’s because of esurience or jejuneness
But when it bites its master, it’s because this animal is still untamed
This pestered creature is sent eventually to the shelter to be euthanized
A cat always respects its master or has high regard for its owner
Love those who love you
Appreciate those who appreciate you
Shatter not the heart of those who don't like or despise you
However do your very best for those who care for you
For those who are not hypocritical, ingrate or ungrateful
Old cats will in perpetuum remain old cats
They function as old egotistic crabs or irritating crotchety rats
Love those who love you
Appreciate those who appreciate you
Love is the appropriate answer
Not the mortiferous cancer.

My dearest troubled humans,
This is the bitter voice of Appreciation of old that
You are hearing
The one that, once upon a time, people much revered
But
The younger generations seem not even to know
My name.
-
I remember
When all of you, on your lips my name had
When:
Children constantly appreciated what
Their parents for them were doing
-
Students were thankful for what their
Teachers were teaching
-
Citizens grateful were for what their
State for them was providing
-
People thanksgivings were offering to
God and nature alike for taking care of
Their needs
And that
Statues were erected everywhere in my honor.
-
Now, my name,
As though forbidden to be pronounced,
Obliterated from your memory appears to be
Thus
Each one of you only to himself gives credit
Forgetting that
Without the contributions of those that came before you,
Yourselves wild animals would be,
Lacking language, sciences, and numbers,
Just ignorant brutes striving in the wilderness to
Survive
-
Beware,
My beloved humans,
For
If the road of ingratitude you keep following for long,
Sooner or later,
Back into the wilderness, your egotistic selves,
Inescapably you will find!

The slump is in Trump's egotistic plump;
as all that pre-election rhetoric begins to change and die,
fallen to the sides by scary realigned protested cries
of verbal democrats and republican chides.
Recognize at last, all the lies unrevealed in the past
overlooked as the rise to the presidency is stonely cast;
fear filled questions, apprehension and doubts
lost in unwarranted name calling pouts and shouts.
Resign the nation to the silent watch guards be
held to the breast bone of all freedom's needs;
America is great with modifications yet to see,
man, woman, child, Asian, white, black must be equally free.
Hold the promise, dreams and hope for change
be watchful and observant of what we lose or gain;
a leader must set the goal much higher
with populace watching as he steps into the fire.
Push that arrogance and showmanship aside
and regal us with what you'll provide with your pride;
get facts, good advice, the daily briefings, look at all the options
and be a strong, honest, exhaustive conscience.
Comb that hair, dress business like, hold high the chiseled chin
remembering the peoples vote you did not win;
we view now in newer light, with wait and grace allowed
to make us greater still,
America is bold and proud.
