Earth's Tears

" Oh, you thoughtless and egotistic creatures that 

call yourselves humans.


You, who are daily complaining of the floods that 

inundate, your  lands, your cities, your streets, and 

your homes.


Have you not yet understood that all this water is 

nothing else but my tears caused by the pain 

inflicted by your blasphemous and barbaric ways upon 

my once fertile and pristine face? " 


Thus spoke Mother Earth and then released her tears!

If they could only realize they are causing destruction by their selfish, sinning nature. Great point and illustration to give the reader a visual realization of the result of sin. Throughout the bible when the Israelites sinned against God in the Exodus there was retribution from our Lord every time they worshiped false Idols, and they were punished for fourty more years...
