When splendor shimmers hypnotized glance
O, glamour, how captivating is your stance,
Aesthetic, harmonious, brushstrokes of art,
Flaring embers of elation in enamored heart.

Opulence of your aura lights glorious flame
Showcasing gems, glittering ornate acclaim
Ravishing pulses-fervid of inflamed desire
From stunning demeanor of alluring attire.

You are a flirtation, an enchanting display,
An embroidery woven, motifs exotic relay,
On fabric of life, teasing impulses of mind;
Fascinations galore, masterminds designed.

Yet, I wonder, if your charm is real, is it all true,
Are you a diamond, through and through;
Be not spurious, be not dubious, divulge a clue,
Behind glittering façade is it genuine you?

Be not a counterfeit to unsuspecting sight,
O, glamor, dazzle not, sparkling false delight
For inner halo is brighter that a phony smile,
Be the authentic grandeur of affluent style.

Premium Member The Listener

Start at the start
ask your questions
Although I’m no priest
I will hear your confession
Divulge your sins
no judgement or correction
Within my skeleton closet
I have my own sin collection

Off the mirror of my silvered mind
 you might witness your reflection
Dive deep into my psyche
I’ll gladly offer protection
Our humanity is sacred
within it find connection
Choose what power you need
embrace our connection

Access to my mind
is translucent screen thin
A bridge across the distance
you can easily gaze within
I’ll instinctively grasp your hand
I’ve been where you’ve been
So let’s start where we’ve started
before the barrier of sin
Together finding treasures
hidden within

No need to worry
or regret your choice
I wholeheartedly embrace
the sound of your voice
You offer me mystical music
free from vibrational noise
I hear and listen to you
free willingly by choice
Heart being deeply touched
Joyful eyes become moist
Together our inner children play
as we both rejoice

Feel your heart beating slower
As your breath becomes shallower
There is strength in release
it connects you to your power
A life can change in a moment
or be transformed in an hour
So rise up, climb up
to the top of the tower
At the edge of the universe
light up the night sky
You are born to be
a transcendent meteor shower.

Promises and Wishes

Wishing Well by Juke55 @ Deviant Art

I circle from pale to shade,
countless steps
around the abandoned well.
Wasted wishes rest
in dried-up depths,
we perish
in its hollows.
Promises break
but wishes will wait
to be retrieved,
             granted,
                cherished.

When you were the promise,
you washed over me,
permeating sacred spaces,
shrouding my soul.
I searched your changing face
for symmetry and solvency,
longing for stability.
In wrung-out wrappings,
I chilled in your deception
as I clung to the warmth
of our inception.
I trusted you.
It was easy.
You promised. I believed.
I wished the same wish everyday
that love would last.

Now, I reel in my resistance to love,
an outcast of wreckage from your ravine.
Will I ever love again?
I want to reach in to divulge a deluge
of brokenness and betrayal.
I retrace your words between
the yesterdays.
     They start as whispers
then wail in echoes
     off impervious walls.
Each sanguine syllable a lie,
projecting sound into a chasm of darkness.
From the depths of the wishing well,
vows reverberate from my own lips,
gently rumbling then rousing
feelings of love turned to loneliness.
If one drop of water remains
to reflect only one recollected wish,
I may find my own eyes
    not yours looking back,
    and in the end,
              I may learn to forgive.
                      Maybe I will love again.

Nobody knows what goes on behind this hotel door
‘Mr Smith’ isn’t with his wife of that I’m pretty sure!
He’s with his mistress Sue, they are having an affair
But he is a cheating love rat and he doesn’t really care

A barrage of fists is flying at number twenty-two
Sally covers her bruises, what else can she do
Her man is a bully and hits where nobody can see
She’s got no one to turn too otherwise she would flee

Harry is all alone since his dear wife has died
He’s desperately lonely but filled with such pride
His family only live on the other side of the city
But are so busy with their lives, isn’t that a pity
Post builds up in his letter box, there’s milk left at his door
Neighbours think they’ve seen him but they aren’t really sure
The police arrive; break down his door and Harry’s lying dead
He’d fallen down the stairs; dried blood lay round his head

Peter is an alcoholic and he suffers from depression
He has bouts of violence, he’s known for his aggression
Since his wife walked out on him he’s attempted suicide
His life has gone downhill since he lost his lovely bride

Little Sally wants to hide when she sees Phil the baby sitter
He makes her do ‘things’ with him, if she won’t he says he’ll hit her
She’s subjected to sexual abuse that no child should endure
But her parent’s are oblivious when they walk out that door

Nobody really knows what goes on behind closed doors
I wonder would you divulge what happens behind yours?

Premium Member Secrets of the Sea

When moonbeams dance upon the placid sea;
When billowing waves seethe endlessly;
I ponder what secrets the sea might yield,
Should its ageless mysteries be revealed!

Are there unknown monsters lurking in the deep?
Might it divulge where ancient mariners sleep?
Where rest fleets of sailing ships with holds of gold?
Are there seething volcanoes, disasters waiting to unfold?

Where lie armadas sunk in conflict due to mankind's folly,
Sunk in mighty battles with cannons' fearsome volley?
Although the inscrutable sea will not confide in me,
I can still meditate upon closely held secrets of the sea!

Premium Member Help Me Please

Where do I begin
To ask the question
And do I divulge my sin
Reveal obsession
Please I need your wise advice
I’m walking on thin ice
What if I pay the price

Will I regret this choice
Do I roll the dice
Trust my inner voice
Play this lottery
blank uncertainty
Of possibility
Drowning in the sea

My heart is beating faster
Do I just take the leap
Like ripping off a plaster
Unveiled my destiny
Will that evoke disaster
Will I be sorry after
Should I leave it to the master

It’s time to cease this game
Roulettes the devils work
On me I lay the blame
I’m overwhelmed with fear
Overcome with shame
I feel my pulsing veins
Ready set take aim

I take it in my hand
You see me trembling
What if I find it’s bland
This is my reckoning
And as I begin to bite
My heart fills with delight
Someone’s listened to my plight

It was a coffee one
And not a toffee one
Delicious bliss
Chocolatey kiss
Slowly oozing
So wickedly soothing
What a close call
I thank you all

Premium Member My True Hero

I had a quarrel with my own life
I didn’t want to divulge it to anyone I knew
It was then I met the one who in many eyes,
Had sparked feelings of sympathy or contempt

Confined to a wheel chair in a hospital room
Amid the smell of death and disease,
He looked so resigned to his fate
With a rare gleam sparkling his eyes
Convalescing after his sixth surgery,
Still having bouts of excruciating pain

What made me drawn to him, I cannot tell

Later I met him at his home several times,
Still on wheelchair, crooked and disfigured,
But with what stoic nonchalance,
He accepted his condition-
Cerebral palsy, a disease affecting all his limbs

He said it was after years of questioning
That he had learnt to take on his disability
It broadened his understanding of suffering
Giving him deltas of new insight...
He knows now, the stars would be brighter
Only with the light completely blown out!

Even when the ground falls beneath his feet
He finds a way to rise up from the ground
With every step he takes, he feels it better than yesterday
And waits for tomorrow in anticipation
Because he has made it today!

Sure he reigns as a true hero, stirring a spark
In the ash covered cinders of my heart

Oh sapience of musings, oh savior of poetic art!
How longingly I seek you out to inspire my ballad
When lassitude of the night envelopes my mind
And grimace of dawn darkens shrouded in fog.

Oh lyrics of melodies, oh harmonies of music!
How eloquently you speak in articulate dreams
When wordless melancholy poignantly echoes
And voice of emptiness confiscates my themes.

Oh redeemer of words, oh language of feelings!
How musically you evoke rhythms of symphony
When broken phrases languish in depleted ink
And haze of confusion subjugates my euphony.

Oh oratory of wisdom, oh intellect of vocabulary!
How metaphorically you divulge motifs of imagery
When ineptitude of simile diminish comparability
And wordplay disappoints in misplaced analogies.

Oh allure of meaning, oh enticement of literacy!
How singularly you elevate cadence of my poetry
When decaying thoughts linger forever miserably
And creativity encounters nothingness of drudgery.

There are those engaged in pedagogy
To facilitate the drip... drip... drip
Of poison to accost a child's ear.
Maneuvering with glee and juicy decadence...
Sequestering all they say and hear.

Filled with righteous indignation
And a blind sanctification to their cause.
They pervert both judge and jury...
Twisting truth with sainted claws.

Under a veil of woeful ignorance...
They molest and kink impeccant minds.
When pressed to divulge their scribblings...
They graciously decline.

'You've not the right!' They blindly scream.
'Your fear and doubt is blatantly absurd.
We are gentle shepherds of our flock...
But you'll just have to take our word.'

For far too long we've abdicated our
Responsibility to these purveyors of disruption.
As they've repackaged long failed ideologies...
Fattening our children for destruction.

Nothing good comes from darkness
Except mushrooms and a willingness to deceive.
And proselytizing children like some fungi...
Seems unnecessarily naive.

These predators, race-baiters and gangsters
Are akin to an unruly cockroach in the night.
They happily go about their sordid business
Till someone dares to shine a light.

If you refuse to rise and shine that light...
Then we be back where this began.
But there are still foxes in the chicken-coop...
There be wolves among the lambs.

Homeric moonstone sparkles at night.
a glowing globe of gleam amid galaxies,
Its shimmering shafts as flowing fantasies,
gliding glimmering, giddy waves of a wild ocean.

Glowing gaze glances into the gorgeous,
glistening sapphire depths,
where wild winds whirl, a wondrous waltz awakens—
ruby glistens amid the thunderclap.
amethyst whispers in the misty screams.

Hearken: harmonious hymns hover in heavens
colorful loops of capturing emerald and turquoise
every hue is a harmony in a mariner’s melody
each ebbing essence echoes magical epics of yore.

The fracas outside fades
as nature’s narratives naturally navigate—
dense drapery, like drowsy dividers
drawbacks divulge a heart displayed delicately.

Moonbeams meander over majestic mountains
limestone and obsidian, luscious layers lost
while wordsmiths weave wondrous words,
In a cascade of captivating couplets,
that shimmer and crumble.

Do you hear the sirens sing?
a chorus of longing from the depths
they call to hearts heavy like stone
yet light as ashes caught in the smoke.

We walk where men have trodden,
tracing footsteps worn soft by time,
with wonder in every glance, every sigh,
painted worlds vibrate in the very air.

So, step into this symphony of starlit spells.
a captivating collection of contrasting senses—
where dazzling diamonds dance delightfully
and the fierce fight for fervent fantasies flows with the tide.

Out here beneath the blackened blanket of night,
Elysium eagerly awaits our embrace—
a splendid symphony, and you
the softest serenade nestled in its depths.

"As water flows down when a faucet is turned on, thoughts and feelings pour out into a journal cleansing the heart" ~ By Poet

I keep a journal, a treasure chest of memories.
Where I record each day’s activities
Where I divulge my innermost secrets

As my feelings overflow into each blank page,
I get the therapeutic effect of unburdening my heart.
Though I scrawl down in messy hand,
It is a slice of my heart and I treasure it,
More than any other document I have.

Every day I empty my heart into its pages,
My pen bleeds words in red.
I paint me as I am, honest and truthful.

I don’t want to be a sham.
Here I lay bare my life,
Fraught with aches, dotted with smiles.
My longings and my heart aches
My expectations, my disappointments
My triumphs, my defeats
My search through every nook n’ cranny for success
My plunge into the nadir of despair on defeat
My moments of escalating joy
My dark hours of crippling distress
Everything I want to be,
Everything I fail to be.

Journaling, poetry, and prayer fill my day.
They help me keep all my boredom away!

Dear God

Thank you for the blessings
You have bestowed upon my loves ones and me
We have health, love for each other
And jobs that pay enough for the rent
And basic necessities

Forgive me for the times I’ve cursed you
In the midst of certain lessons
I was ignorant – not contemplating
The greater good,
Then you granted me the gifts of
Knowledge and understanding and
Made me grateful for nearly all the outcomes

“Life is the school” and “Love is the lesson,”
But what is the purpose of our incarnation?
Is it enjoying the simple pleasures,
Growing spiritually to know you better,
And striving to do the right things
That make up the purpose potion?

These are things that aid us in loving
Ourselves enough to adequately love you,
Jesus and our fellow spiritual beings
Who are sharing the earthly experience,
But is that all there is?

Beyond Love, you may not divulge
Any other reasons for existence, as
All things ultimately fall under Love’s umbrella
Besides, when working in harmony,
The Bible, our intellect and intuition
allow us higher Truths and Revelations
That I contend come from You and angels
But, is that all of what we are given?

Shall I simply be content in praying
That you continue to enlighten my inquisitive soul
By feeding me information
On a need to know basis
using the tools you have provided
as I enjoy the simple pleasures,
continue my spiritual growth
and strive for morality over blasphemy?

Do I trust that Life’s Purpose
Is as simple and as complex as
Live, Love, Die and Reincarnate?

Love is the Key.
The rest, only You know the Truth.

Oh, beatific lotus flower, blossom of my pious soul
How brilliantly you ascend, sparkling in sunrise gold
Being the emissary of divinity ancient tenets behold
Invigorating spiritual vibes unwavering beliefs extol

Oh, tender touch of angels, purity of enlightened life
How mystically your petals divulge esoteric delight
Kneeling for mortal beings, submerging into the night
Yearning renewal upon cleansing unwelcome strife

Oh, sage of wisdom, imperial emblem of knowledge
How you rise again and again, edifying life and death
Heavenly spirits you elate awakening human intellect
Illuminating senses in revelations of Buddhist texts

Oh, symbol of rebirth, essence of pure revered faith
How prayers of sacred words in your epiphany toll
Where rhythms of my heart in tenor of nirvana echo
As you grant eternal peace to mortals lost on earth
Oh, beatific lotus flower, blossom of my pious soul

Illicit Itch

Spray your love in the masochistic mist,
shapely satisfying the illicit itch...
With handcuffs upon the wicked wrist,
narcotic nectars that will bewitch…
Salacious secretions that must assist,
appeasing appetites that shall enrich...
Salivating on parts hardly ever kissed,
exploring erotica within its niche…

Licentious desires amidst negligent night,
engulfing erections are craving...
Passionate pistils partake in their plight,
tender thoughts are misbehaving…
Bodies in motion divulge in delight,
as animalistic aphrodisiacs are raving...
Concupiscence convulsions do bite;
willing wanton wizards are waving…

Hold me tight as we twist and twitch,
upon luscious landscapes yearning...
Libidinousness lactations in their stitch,
beauteous breasts are burning…
Carnal covetousness stings their pitch,
for evocative emulations returning...
Leaving humble humanity in the ditch,
lacrimal lewdness upon learning.
