Best Dividend Poems
We all
Shareholders of good and evil are
Since
This world we share the same.
But
Though the dividend of good, we rush to cash in
The
Dividend of evil we leave unclaimed
Hoping
Someone else would show up to
Cash in the blame!

We supplicate her when we mourn
She is the rose and we the thorn
to those who sorrowfully grieve
alone, bewildered and forlorn
She offers sinners a reprieve
and comforts sad hearts that aggrieve
Lifts us up when we're feeling down
In her we must deeply believe
She can remove a worried frown
Rescue us when we start to drown
Grant us the courage to endure
A saving grace without a crown
Humbly, do we pray to ensure
our faith is virtuous and pure
This Christian virtue we should seek
For hope we pray. God, we adjure
He blesses the modest and meek
who are weary, fragile and weak
But with hope as a dividend
our lives will no longer look bleak
On our Lord's love we can depend
Hope He provides as a godsend
to ease fears and anxieties
God is our Father and our Friend
It's time to go and I feel so free.
There's a place out there for Mike and me;
Where the sun shines bright and the wind don't blow.
"Follow me," Mike says, "now it's time to go."
Without a question I'll grab my things,
With no care of what tomorrow brings.
'Cause Mike knows best and I don't know.
"Follow me," Mike says, "now it's time to go."
We have been to places far and wide.
Mike has always been there by my side.
With laughter, love and time to spend.
"Follow me," Mike says, we have life to tend."
A couple of fools with far off dreams
And nothing more, that's how it seems.
But we're rich with life's sweet dividend.
"Follow me," Mike says, "we have life to tend."
Since the day we met it's been this way;
There's an urgent call, we can't delay.
We've got things to do, it's an endless race.
"Follow me," Mike says, and he sets the pace.
But at night we'll rest and I'll brush his hair,
And he'll give me kisses everywhere.
Tomorrow's fancies again we'll chase.
"Follow me," Mike says, and he sets the pace.
Mike will never ask for much you see.
All he really wants is love from me,
And a little food in his favorite bowl.
"Follow me," Mike says, "it's good for your soul."
Then he'll wag his tail, point his little nose,
I'll just tag along everywhere he goes.
We'll cross life's bridge and pay the toll.
"Follow me," Mike says, "it's good for your soul."
I'm just a boy and he's my best friend.
With laughter, love and time to spend.
Been together since our first hello.
"Follow me," Mike says, "now it's time to go."
This is my testimony.
I really loved this man completely.
Nonetheless, he betrayed me.
I am not going to shackle my life.
A godsend for me to set the world afire.
I know to capitalize when the windfall is from negative vibes;
the path that I was on found me alone.
He cheated easily while I believed in him.
Faithfully, I found trouble embracing me.
I held my emotions in check because I believed in him.
Life is just a game to play with a man.
He dummies himself to a real relationship.
He was caught up in the moment.
He did not expect me to catch him the way I did.
I know to capitalize on my man lies.
The dividend that I received puts me abreast with my poetry.
He tells me he loves me and asks me to forgive him for being a cheat.
My respond is I don’t feel his worthiness of me.
The yoke of restraint has removed.
I am just like Stella getting her groove on because before I let my man cheat,
I rather move on.

As much as we hope that eventually human nature will turn to good
It seems we see signs everywhere of the eventual unlikelihood
We see money hoarders who care not one iota for the plight of the poor
We see those that will milk the system for all it can possibly endure
We see hoodlums on the streets punching old ladies for the sport
We see politicians lying through their teeth when the truth is nothing of the sort
We see morality totally ignored when it doesn't pay a sufficient dividend
We see greed rearing its ugly head everywhere as a means to an end
Drug dealers and pushers roam the streets with little or no fear
As it seems our resolve to eliminate addiction is nil, or so it would appear
Is there no path out of this horrific dilemma for today's human race?
Or will we continue this downward spiral at an even quicker pace?
We ask the important question 'Is this what we have become?'
Or maybe this is what we have always been and just where we come from
Whatever the answer if we each don't soon do our part to reverse this destructive trend
We will pass to our children's children a world that no one can possibly comprehend
I am the uniter of the divided
Also the decision fo the undecided
I am also the dividend
Between the people who want to live and not meet their end
From the people who tend to offend, and not befriend
These are not real people, for they are only pretend
It's the truth they bend
These people try to ascend
By making others descend,
But you can only descend
By doing this, so to make yourself ascend
Help others ascend.
So who am I?
Am I as beautiful as a butterfly or a firefly?
Or am I an unnoticed person who gets passed as a passerby?
So I can't justify that I have the answer to the question: Who am I?
So I testify that I crucified the stereotype of the question: Who am I?
Even though I'm not a stereotype, there are people who I mystify
But I still can't identify the answer to this three word question: Who am I?
I purify, modify, and amplify the question: Who am I?
Who I am is the person trying to find the answer to the question: Who am I?

Yes! You have to think out of the box
But you don't have to lose your brain box
(which is more than a gear box or a black box)
because of your brave boss,
(even when he holds an axe).
Its loss would cost you more than an ox.
Its an evidence of sear laxity
Its dividend is with influx of max pain
which wax stronger than flax
It doesn't count whether you are a fan of

You don't need to pay tax to play a sax.
"Years come and go so fast- from start to end
yet, each that passes- is a dividend."
_by Poet
Another year has quickly passed away;
from start to finish, most will so agree-
just in a blink, each twenty-four-hour day
dissolved within the fleeting twelve-month spree.
The seasons too, each year, by four divide-
and they in, months of three, present contrast;
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter- so provide
those welcomed changes, making time fly fast.
And, so a year noway slows down to stall-
last January passed not long ago.
And here we are- December did enthrall
with Christmas- then, advanced the New Year flow.
That measurement of time- another year-
does come and go at will, we know it's true;
to start afresh- in twelve months, disappear.
Accept each new one as life's gift to you.

Wiggles
Tenfold dividend
Three witches stirring caldron
Wiggles beef, well done!
By Eve Roper 3/7/2015
The nation in question is a world largest oil exporter
It citizens is be deprived of what she has
Involuntarily long queues from night
In petrol stations till dawn outside the same stations
Makes the danfo drivers angry and happy with price hike
Who will be sorry for the stranded commuters
Is it the profitless street sellers
Or the red hotted conductors?
You then see a divided country
Each citizen angry with and harmless to the government
Frustrated citizens walk miles to chase Molues
No one cares for the other the aim is to get home
Though some do, the poor ones.
Who says it only touches the proletariat
Even the rich are touchable
You will see big fat men exercising in their cars
Suffering from the traffic jam created at the stations.
Who will condole with the cying lady
That cannot manouvre due to her twisted hand
And clucth ridden legs?
A country were urchins
Take to the streets as black marketers
The hoarding stations having collaborated
With them sell the gold four times its price
All moneyed men will buy from the law breakers
The owners says it is due to vandalism
What a suitable lie
For it is likely that the political skirmishes
Has reined on the innocent citizens
Even our eight year leader
Will not address us on the issue
Who says it this is not a dividend?
I say it is.
Ethics
Taught accurately to account
for each reward an exact amount
a Kantian conscience reprehends
a stray Romantic dividend.
Publicly our just deserts
are measured by our type of work.
For what surgeons are forgiven
clerks and watchmen go to prison.
Few are ushered through the streets
in black sedans by the police
to carpeted chambers where the great
decide the future of the State.
Love, Genius, Power are for the elect.
Underpaid and oversexed
most lives are lived where intersect
the ragged lines of job and sex.
So if future preference won't assuage
your trussed Byronic middle-age,
think of all the lions who
are languishing in Christian zoos.
Behind the bar as i
stood alone with my
thought
I could see the life
of my people
In misery and agony
fighting for
freedom.
How they are
humiliated and
discriminated
By the leaders in
their own
fatherland.
My mouth failed me
for words
My eyes detested my
tears.
How could it be so?
We are bore of the
same mother
Then why do we have
to discriminate
Leave behind those
we call brothers?
Leave them top
suffer and beg for
food
When we have enough
to eat and drink.
What would Zik of
Africa say of his
effort
When he watch from
beyond?
What would Gani
fawehinmi say when
he sees no
Dividend of
democracy he fought
for?
What sound would
Awolowo tears
produce
When he sees all his
effort gone?
What eyes would
Tafawa Look us with?
Yes we have done
nothing in our
humble land
We've done our
people no good and
we all know that.
My ears are
deafening because
they have heard
enough
Of the promises and
deceit.
It will only take
Nigerians to build
Nigeria.
The innocent are
held by the guilty
ones,
Then why do we
strife for goodness
When there is no
room for goodness.
I pray gently for
mercy behind this
"monsterous" bar.
