Best Disproved Poems

The Promised Land

I look forward to that rising tide
The current has never been so low
That we sail in style so calm
Rest deepens without panic
The tweets sweeter than never
The sun brighter than ever

Mr sailor how did you stir on course?
Because i still see us within the radar
The arrow precisely points our destination
It has disproved our dissolution
And reproved our evaluation

Could we have crossed over the red sea
Because what i see now seems magical
Falcons hover randomly above with joy they sing
I thought it was a myth what they told us
If we keep course, we'll get to that promised land
We'll bath in milk, roost in honey and bask under the hot supplies

This i saw so real
So sad it's only a dream.

Economic Sonnet

Note : as an experiment i took a random article from the newspaper and extracted phrases from it to eventually form this sonnet. A fun exercise!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Economic purists say, relief should,
Never have been given in the first place.
Whether that is true or not, perception,
Has always been politically good.
Sensitive issues, as they have and could,
Ever been percieved as assisting in grace.
Relief to be aboloshed! Reflection –
Affordability is understood.

However, now it is to be removed,
People shouldn’t get alarmed, the market
Change to this would deem, respite is disproved.
Any mortgage taken out – we regret.
For seven tax years by that date – and yet
We believe this is the case – hmmm, approved!

Beware the Fireworks of Joy

It’s 9:30am
It’s Saturday
The winds of time have changed
Smoke is obscuring the future
Of a nation of dreamers.
Nightfall is lost.
In a darkness of righteous rhetoric
Toothless dragons spewing flameless fire
Exhale the remains of previous failures
In noxious nuances of hope’s lunacy.
Daybreak is muted in the gray pall
Of hatred’s hangover
Coating the pond in anger’s angst
Banning the flight of migratory species
Coating the lily pads in distant dust.
Time is meaningless to those
Who speak of “when”
For past and present are
And are not. And yet
They must be joined
By the now, in the now,
Or they will be condemned
To a never changing present.
Science has proved
And disproved itself
Erred in its “infallible” wisdom
Swept the detritus of its denial
Into the graveyards and landfills
While claiming innocence and immunity.
Beware the fireworks of joy
For they may ignite
The spark of a rebellion.

Frustrating Men,Nagging Women

Why are men so frustrating?
Can't someone please tell me!
I've been trying to figure it out
for what seems like an eternity.

Why is it that men
cannot understand a womans thinking?
Sorry to be so sexist
but I expect it's
all that drinking!

I have figured out one thing....
It's why men have more strength,
It is simply just to compensate
for what they lack in length.

Now don't get me wrong,
I love a big strong man,
but only very occasionally
when I can't open a can.

Give me a man
with a high intellect,
give him a mission
of cooking for the family
and see what you will get.

Why is it that men
think they are superior
because they are 'men'.
When this ridiculous theory
has been disproved
time and time again.

Nagging Women

Why is it,
can you tell me,
why do women moan?....
They do it so much
that I highly expect,
they also do it when they're alone!

Why is it that women
chop and change their mind?
If you see one that doesn't,
well, then you must be blind!

Why is it women
say yes when they mean no?
It's to see how quick
you men are....
if you're quick
or if you're slow.

Why is it women
think all men are wrong?
Because we're on a different
hymn sheet....
They're singing the wrong song!

Why is it for women
that nothing's ever good enough?
The truth is,
that's just rubbish.....
We just like to make it tough.

Why is it that women
are seen as the weaker sex?
It's because men can't
figure us out.....
Because we're so complex.

A * Window * In * the * Skies

The shakles are undone

The bullits quit the gun

The heat that's in the sun

Will keep us when there's none

The rule has been disproved

The stone it has been moved

The grave is now a groove

All debts are removed ~

Oh can't you see what love has done?
Oh can't you see what love has done?
Oh can't you see what love has done?
What its done to me?

Love makes strange enemies

Makes love where love may please

The Soul and its striptease

Hate brought it to its knees

The sky over our head

We can reach it from our bed

You let me in your heart

And out of my head, head....

Oh can't you see what love has done?
Oh can't you see what love has done?
Oh can't you see what love has done?
What its done to me?

Oh, oh, oh, oh....
Oh, oh, oh, oh....
Please don't ever let me out of You ~

I've got no shame, oh no, oh no

Oh can't you see what love has done?
Oh can't you see?
Oh can't you see what love has done?
What its doing to me?

I know I hurt you and I made you cry

Did everything but murder you and I

But love left a window in the skies ~

And to love I rhapsodize

To every broken heart

For every heart that cries

Love left a window in the skies

And to love I rhapsodize....

The Colors of Consciousness

Your egg has served its purpose,
as the illusion of being less
is being disproved in your
magical dance...

along the reflective
surface of the water.

Crawl among the vine and the
bursting morning glories,
spread your wings in the warmth
of the sun.

The colors of consciousness
rise and fall as you breathe--

and your gradual shift in awareness
lifts you into the air...

and you are flying,
you are flying--

and Oh, how the colors feel!

Electro Convulsive Therapy

Raped of all freedoms, basic democratic rights
Restraints ever tighten casting underdog to fight
Sharp scratch of needle pierces State sectioned vein
I submerge to a world of the psychiatrists drain

Adult my dummy preventing tongues loss to bite
Held within induced seizures epileptic in might
I welcome the darkness, one silent scream
Memory the victim midst non-consenting scene

Consciousness awakens clouded mind to dull mist
Punch drunk I sit to chemical onslaughts new fist
Medicated features exaggerates hollowing face
Expressionless my return, a salivating disgrace

Emptied companions stare at floors, piped TV
We sit, we quietly stare at the nothing now to see
Surrendered manic thoughts, depression held at bay
Psychiatry cures tomorrow by destroying my today

This legalised torture, "Electro Convulsive Therapy"
A disproved mental abattoir of Victorian barbarity
Why erase future names from the timeline of mankind
Whilst celebrating all achieved by past great bipolar minds

Premium Member When the Moon Is Full

Science has disproved
the legends about full moons,
but one thing is for certain:
when I see it thus -
gold and glowing in the sky -
something indeed does happen.

My mind takes flight, and
I’m more in tune with nature.
I marvel that such beauty
occupies heaven.
When it takes me by surprise,
its effulgence delights me.

I’m led to ponder
how something so far away
seems so right up in my face;
how it has appeared
through eons, steadfastly at
the set time of its cycle.

Is it no wonder
the poems it has inspired
and lovers it has entranced?
One of the few things
of God’s brilliant creations
shared equally by us all!

Thy Spirits Descent

https://soundcloud.com/user-921599710/thy-spirits-descent
The day of Pentecost had fully come, as they met in one accord
A sudden sound, a mighty wind, a token of the Lord
Cloven flames, tongues of fire, as thy sprit thus descent
Prepareth the soul for gentle gales, yet convicted to repent

A miracle yet of the mind, upon prophets of old
To preach to nations intelligibly, effects to thus unfold
Perplexed and thus bewildered, as languages be spake
Other tongues of utterance, the faith of Christ awake

A solemn feast brought to a halt, a mighty great concourse
To hear the good news of the Lord, observed with some remorse
To meaneth truth and yet be mocked, to claim they’re full of wine
God chose the weak to confound the wise, as branches of the vine

The day hereby thus prophesied, by Joel of centuries past
The miracles, signs and wonders, fulfillment brought to last
Peter’s message communicated restoreth divine favour
The fruit of Christ resurrection, he ascended our great saviour

Fully clothed with power, his rising yet not disproved
The supernatural phenomena, his word shall not be moved
The same Jesus who was crucified is both our Christ and Lord
As still proclaimed amongst the earth, which we could not afford

Allegiance owed to he who reigns, who sat on David’s throne
The highest honour in heaven, our hope in Christ alone
A sense of awe, an awesome joy, others joined to listen
As the multitudes were saved and to see the Lord’s love glisten

Second Chances

Perhaps it is a different time
to softly walk and just unwind
for within this new dawn brings fragrant lullabies
blossoming friendships and strong family ties

Perhaps there is much more to see
within each day, low what lay beneath--
tainted and toiled; soiled, shambles
things that hinder --not in focus

The once upon a golden dreams
fantasy, fallacies upon those shores
where we were to meet
somewhere cries the silver lining from the clouds where my head did lay

awakening upon the ground
and again and again so the story goes
Until I got the courage to go
to a place that doesn't feel much like home

Exhaled a breath when I crossed the county line

Still the hardest of all was pulling into a familiar drive
as She opened the trailer door
frail and in her eighties
The woman who disproved everything thing I did at one time

as our eyes met there was a softness in mine
"Perhaps this is not the right time?"
Remembering the hurt of her never nurturing crossed my mind
"No." as she struggled to put a plate of food before me and my upset stomach

Funny how the food was exceptionally well for my ailment and I was hungry after all
I told her of my mistakes and this time there was a softness in her words
Perhaps there was more than the second chance I had set out to find
This one was for me. How selfish could I be?!

Spontaneous Generation

There's truth in
Spontaneous generation
I've been there
Seen it
Observed the formation
It can't be disproved
Discounted
Diluted
It is creation
It is born instantly
Not from clay or cells
It's not like that
For this
There is no host
No Petri dish
But ourselves
And it's not slow
It doesn't grow
It explodes
Replicating
Overtaking
Cell upon cell
Completely filling
That's the beauty
In this theory
Nearly everyone denies

It has no form
Or material structure
Yet now it's present
Even in trials
With beakers stopped
No influence
Upon it
A maddening theory
To adopt
Vacuum sealed
Impenetrable
Then poof
Revealed
No known source
Abandon logic
Methods
Reason
From where?
It appears
This new life
Begins

She's Already Taken

When a man finds himself
At a crossroads in this life
And he's searching for the woman
That he can call his wife

He looks to his past
To see where he's gone wrong
He picks up his old heart
And tries to tear down walls

To hold you in my arms
To hear your I love you
There's just one small problem
That we can't work through

She's already taken
My heart and my dreams
By a man who still loves her
So where does that leave me

When I tell you that I love you
I hope you will understand
Its my dying wish to hold you
And for me to be your man

Like the pinnacle of love
The pedestal I place you on
Reaches higher than the Heavens
Our souls our strongest bond

But she's already taken
My heart and my dreams
By a man who still loves her
So where does that leave me

Can our once secret kiss
Lead into love
Though it never really had too
Cause for me it always was

As she looked away I saw
The smile upon her face
Was she thinking of the what could be
Or how time has helped erase

The thoughts of how she felt
Have my dreams all been disproved
Did my soft and gentle forehead kiss
Translate to I Love You

She already knows
Just what she means
But I want her to know
That in us I still believe

Though she's already taken
My heart and my dreams
There's no man alive
Who can love her like me

Shaken not stirred
Now she's living the life
And He's hoping his money
Will keep her by his side

What are the chances
In a small town like this
That we could meet our soulmate
Yet somehow miss the bliss

In a small town your lucky
If you don't settle for someone
Did the Good Lord place my soulmate
So our two could become one

Because she's already taken
One thing will remain
It's the blame that I place on me
And I'll never be the same

MIGHTY GOD HOLDING IN AWE---

I serve an all great and holy mighty God;
Disproved, none believing in disarray up holding in awe;
Righteousness is the holy righteous is the only one;

Can save me from myself He’s the only one
For the Holy only one in heaven merciful God
Surprisingly I stand joyfully submissive still in shock in awe

Come let us forgive rejoice be happy in Awe
My choices my chances are yet still wronged one
Help us revive us all over again O God

Mighty God, O holy only one in shock, awe.

Wind of Change

Someone so rigid and fixed in their views

Will always face one major issue

That they will wonder bend and break

When in the right time the wind of change blows through

To set in their ways they're no flexible

Staunchly clinging to old archaic views

Even if fly's in the face of overwhelming truth

So what else can they do but break when they hear the news

That everything they thought they knew has been disproved

I flow like a river and I twist and turn

Understanding each day we learn

We need to keep open eyes and minds

See the wrongs and rights on all sides

Never worry, fret or fear

When it becomes so clear that the angle your coming from

Is skewed and maybe wrong

The open mind takes this on board

Analyses and records it all

Then adjusts it's thinking to reflect the truth

There's nothing wrong with me and you

Admitting from time to time we got it wrong

That shows a character that's strong

And less likely to break

Because we can adapt in the face and cope with the wind of change.

Premium Member No Matter

Whether you are black, red, yellow or white,
all of us are all one and the same alike.
The concept of race has been disproved scientifically.
None of us are subspecies of the human specie,
as is evident for example with the cat family.
We have lions and tigers and leopards and cheetahs,
but a black man and a white man are not the same as a lion and a tiger
Both are the same specie, *****sapiens, making all lives matter.
We all need to start focusing on the fact that we are all connected genetically.
Scientifically speaking, we are all one big worldwide dysfunctional family,
literally, not figuratively.
At some point in our ancestral genetic history,
my ancestors met yours and proceeded to breed,
and their offspring met the offspring of everyone else,
bring the entire planet to its present intolerant mental health.
