Best Disagree Poems
Any kind of love worth having,
Understands that disagreements happen,
And does not diminish when the first disagreement surfaces,
No, it will stay around and show its true value,
Not pack a sad and leave the field open to hate and prejudice,
This love that will stand the test of time,
Hold true even in the face of war, or famine,
And will retain its shape, no matter how hard the battering.
Be it for a friend a lover, or a family member, or even a stranger,
Who is in need of this love.
To agree to disagree,
To see both sides of the coin,
And give them equal value,
To recognise that opinions are not good or bad but different,
And not an indication of a wish to do harm,
To understand that thoughts and words and deeds,
All travel at different speeds.
Agreeing to disagree gives us an extra layer of comfort,
That a lesser kind of love will not,
As our thoughts and words can be a close match,
And only our deeds will need to be sometimes kept in check.
All too often do we fail to see,
That this kind of Love does not take kindly to us setting agendas,
Making unreasonable demands,
Or withholding favors,
To get agreements that will always be broken.
This kind of love,
Brings me so much hope,
I am glad I recognized it before it was too late,
So bitterness will not dog my twilight years
As I find plenty to talk about,
With those who have chosen to agree to disagree with me.
If we should disagree
Why must we disagree with hate
If you like red and I like blue
Is fighting then to be our fate
When called upon to love our land
Does blood not run in wounded hearts
No matter who we choose to love
No matter color of our parts
So you were born a country boy
And I know not how cowboy’s play
Does that mean we can’t coexist
That we should not both have a say
For change will always take the reins
And none much like just what may come
So certainly we should be fair
In weaving hope for all, not some
And, if we should disagree
Why can’t we disagree with love
If not, our world may go away
Can we not think, then rise above
Mankind's greatest
accomplishment...
is death.
In life disagreements have always been around,
so why the frown?
We all like what we like and that’s the bottom line.
I won’t see life as you do because I am me and
you are you.
However, what kind of filter do you use before
you look?
The filter that you use is a determining factor in
what you see.
I’m not perfect by a long shot, but I try to let
optimism be my guide.
In a world of negativity it’s so easy to let op-
timism fall by the wayside.
The old saying is true “ treat others like you want
to be treated.“
If someone said they like(or have a nonchalant
demeanor )being mistreated or disrespected,
I don’t believe you.
Because at the core, we all are human beings
and we have feelings.
If you don’t care now, you used to care, being
hurt over and over can cause pain; pain overload
turns into numbness.
The moment you allow yourself to feel again you
will understand.
Numbness can “walk around with a I don’t care”
attitude.
Once your numbness leaves, you will start to feel
again.
I know from personal experience, I wore my
numbness(as a shield of defense) for years
and nothing affected me.
Later on ,once I dealt with my pain and put
aside my shield of defense I started to heal.
The world in itself is cruel, and fueled by so
much hate.
But change starts with you and I, let’s agree
to disagree and walk in to love’s wing.

I won't cut your opinion,
Even if we disagree.
Each of us has a dominion.
The 'truth' is what we see.
Some, lock in disagreement,
Then counter with persistence.
To views that are recurrent.
I think I'll keep my silence.
He taunted me with hope
When there was no hope for us.
We were past, the past
Gone from today and tomorrow,
Boldy planted in the memories who haunted
Me like summer haunts the autumn
Or sunshine haunts the rain’s relentless falling
He taunted me with the chance
When there wasn’t a chance in this world.
We were the dearly departed, without
Being morbid, - we were the dead, the emptiness
Drove its soundless nail into our coffin,
A coffin of hopes and dreams and prayers –
And, oh yes – more memories than I could pronounce,
Memories that were devoted to making me sound out
The P A S T - the passing of the PAST
He taunted me with blood bought and blood sought
Feelings, those that crave the attention of light,
Soft and gentle, feeding the hopes with faith, even though
There is no chance… the betrayal is complete, it’s over
He taunted me with life but I could not breathe!
It was torturous… the fading of light in the eyes,
The familiar hope, unsatisfied… forever words meeting
With forever doubt, forever gone, forever numb
Emptied of the past, I fell beneath the surface of a ending
Where I could only remember the beginning…
Mocking the dead, I lie stiff in my casket of pain
Worried without worrying, remembering without remembering
Shedding all my dreams into faded colors of ebony,
Everything changed to gray and I finally could see the truth
In him, there in his eyes, I could only see a glimpse of me,
The me who had believed and the me who could now see…
In the past, that is where we would forever agree to disagree
There was this pristine poetess
who signed off: " Light and Love."
with the rocket plunge of osprey
and the soft cadence of a dove.
She grips each adverb tightly
measures out the slightest verb.
" You really need to think this out."
" Oh, You must be from the 'burb."
She rails at broken rhyme schemes.
She despises gauche haiku.
She does all this defending ART:
that excludes this one by you.
She is up and down each contest.
" They don't appreciate my style!"
Such is the life of a feisty Muse.
as she leaves you with a smile.
Now she's working out another,
yet before she says: " Goodbye!"
" I think that last line's off a bit"
" and now let me tell you why!"
I went to the source, as it were. I imagine sulfur in my Soup Mail tonight...
Agree to Disagree
It seems unfortunate to me
Those humans who seem
To be lacking the ability to
Agree to disagree
You see they have to be Right
Therefore, they fight and they fight
Seems like such wasted energy
To get others to concede
And have them agree to think as thee
An Ego so grande
You must understand
Perspectives and opinions
Are likened to anuses
Something I for refuse to be
I prefer just to have

When the argument becomes personal
things are said that do not apply to all.
Speakers’ moods are no longer affable.
There is silence among people. They stall.
Do not speak of absolute politics.
Do not speak of absolute religion.
Change the subject, avoid theatrics.
Discussing sports is a wise decision.
Speak of the devil, here is our subject.
Change social cues like changing names.
Better to be relative than object.
Such are patterns in language games.
Communication can be difficult
if agreement must be its end result.
I don’t understand the way
That hatred seems to rule
Every minute of every day
It seems to gain more fuel
Dave told us years ago
That “We Just Disagree”
But now we choose to hate and so
No answers will there be
Cooperation is a lost art
Collaboration can’t be found
Real solutions will never start
When hatred still abounds
There was a time not long ago
When opposite sides could talk
Design and ideas would flow
Our leaders walked the walk
That time is gone, it seems for good
And hatred rules the day
Discussions turn to attacks so rude
There’s nothing left to say
It seems that now we never find
When two on opposite sides
Disagree, but still are kind
To others far and wide
“Agree to disagree” I’ve heard the phrase
And try to comprehend
That differences, like a smoky haze
Don’t make you hate your friend
So make a change, just try and see
You’ll help this world go round
Don’t hate because you disagree
And answers will be found
"I don't put too much into The Constitution. Ya gotta remember that this document was put
together by a bunch of guys who thought selling (N word's) was OK, so apparently all of these guys were insane." - Ice-T
Mr Ice-T apparently
hasn't done his American History.
The Constitution had to be
voted and agreed upon by all the states unanimously.
All but two wanted to abolish slavery.
North Carolina always voted against the abolishing of slavery
and South Carolina always yielded its vote to North Carolina repeatedly.
The Constitution of The United States almost never came to be
because of the issue of slavery.
Adams was at his wits end.
His dream of a true democracy was falling apart before him.
He was then counseled by Benjamin Franklyn.
Both spent sleepless nights
trying to get the wording just right
so that they still just might
ratify this great Constitution.
Adams conceded and convinced all the states to keep slavery alive.
The Constitution was then signed by all and ratified.
Adams didn't sell out. A free nation for all in the future he still did see,
He and Ben Franklyn spent sleepless nights wording the Constitution so carefully.
All Born In America Are American Citizens, Naturally,
And Are Entitled To All Of The Privileges And Rights Of A True Democracy.
The Constitution didn't make exception to they born in slavery
so in truth, these children of slaves born in America were entitled to be free,
and hence began the abolishing of all slavery.
Our Fore Fathers were geniuses, guided spiritually if you ask me,
so you best give another review of your American History Mr Ice-T.
My mother told me once, my mother told me twice,
You think that I would listen after she told me the second time,
Nothing against my father, but she described him to a T,
She warned me about the decisions I made and how he would act towards me,
She said you and I are very much alike, this will drive him crazy,
We fought about the things you and I believe, so expect an argument in the making,
Put your big girl panties on, and get ready for a rumble,
Because when you disagree with him, your words he'll try to fumble,
Pride will cause him to shut down your words, and not hear a logical explanation,
But please love him anyway, just take a mini vacation,
By the time you've thought things over, and come back for a visit,
He won't even remember the point of it all, he'll forget the disagreement,
This is how we operated for many years on end,
I would make him a sandwich and soon he would forget,
So I'm preparing for your future, please take your mother's advice,
Make sure you prepare him his favorite meal right after you get in a fight! LOL.:)
DEMOCRAPS AND REPUBLICANTS
Admittedly I am one creatively crazy cat
And people everywhere better take note
I ain’t no Republican nor am I a democrat
And I don’t see any reason for me to vote
Listen people, politics are a plague perceived of by desperate men
Folks who sold themselves out for a few sheckles or less
And I must confess Jefferson and Franklin, quite frankly, were all f*cked up
They dictated this declaration that declares us free to pursue our independence
But in the parenthesis they lasciviously limit our liberties
Then there are those conventions that follow conventions conceived of by fools
And I’d appreciate it if someone could explain their rules
Because conventions are circuitous circuses minus three rings and decorum
They do, however, contain clowns that pour out of tiny little cars
And reveal the scars of a sick society
They are forums for a faction of felonious freaks who foist foolishness on those fools in places like Philly
As they run around willy nilly casting votes like a fishing rod aimed at a pitiful pond
Well there ain’t no flounder in Philly or elsewhere as far as I am concerned
While I have been more than twice burned
And methinks that the fishing really stinks
While their constituents constitute a confusing array of idiots who idealize con-artists
Men and women who treat candidates like Hollywood stars
Well if you ask me, Jennifer Anniston would make a pretty good prez
Says me
She’s got the curves for congress, the sexiness for the senate
And tempting t*ts that would make her perfect for a titular head of state
Now, have I stated my case to your satisfaction?
So you can stand in line to vote for one of these ass h*les
As for me I’d rather vote for Jennifer or someone of her kind
I’m sick of your Clintons, Kerrys and Bobby Doles
And take it for the Gospel as preached by the undersigned

I stand not to repress,
I mean only to express,
My opinions without another feeling less.
Each a diverse human being,
Common ground far between,
"Political correctness" is nothing but a dream.
No one's truth is more true,
No one's story defines you,
Same points, details differ our view.
No one person's way is right,
People revell in this fight,
This future has no exit plan in sight.
Hard yet simple it can be,
Hinders most on delivery,
Essential for hearing you & me.
Not what we said but how we say,
Usually complicates our way,
Come together, not tomorrow but today.
Our future will brighten.. you'll see,
Full of harmonious clarity,
If we can genuinely agree to disagree.
Understanding, communication & respect above all.
We must let go, let the ego fall.
We can agree on indifference while maintaining personal truth,
A vital message to pass on to our youth.
No pressure my mates,
This not what this for,
All I am thinking,
No need for this war.
We May Disagree
Of course we still can always be friends
And can't wait until this whole thing ends
Is a case of who made most bobos
Which is the one who will loose
Christians always can make amends.

Was discussing with a friend our
political differences. He still wants
to be my friend so I sent him my
latest poem I wrote for him
