If We Disagree

If we should disagree
               Why must we disagree with hate
If you like red and I like blue
                   Is fighting then to be our fate

When called upon to love our land
      Does blood not run in wounded hearts
No matter who we choose to love
                    No matter color of our parts

So you were born a country boy
           And I know not how cowboy’s play
Does that mean we can’t coexist
         That we should not both have a say

For change will always take the reins
 And none much like just what may come
So certainly we should be fair
           In weaving hope for all, not some

And, if we should disagree
             Why can’t we disagree with love
If not, our world may go away  
           Can we not think, then rise above

I Am Anaya Date: 8/8/2024 7:20:00 AM I do hope it will end. I choose love myself, Mike. I'm faving, you have said in more of ways to choose to love not to hate. Why with hate? I often wonder, Mike. It's truly a shame, and shame on all who do hate, as it is infectious. The cries and screams for a stronger, meaner, fight back attitude is in the works, as you can see, they'll scream for more!
