A Merry Band of Adventurers Part 1 of 2

There Are A Thousand Treasures Of Kings
Worth More, Than All The Wealth, There Could Be !
Some Say, It’s In A Kingdom Of Dreams
Others Say, It’s As Real As You & Me

The Legend Says, There’s A Kingdom Of Love
In A Kingdom, Far Away & Above
Kings-Treasures, To Be Claimed By The Best
Those Worthy Of Courage, To Quest

& So, This Is Where I’ll Start, My Friend,
Tho’, This Isn’t Where The Real Tale Begins
You See, There Was A Merry Band Of Adventurers
Who Went On A Quest, As Treasure-Gatherers

There Was Moses, The Freedom-Circle-Rider
Stayed His Course, Like An Eagle-Glider
There Was Goff, The Monk Of Sky and Trees
His Visions Of Life, Were As Open As Doors With Keys

There Was Kendricks, The Keeper Of ‘Interesting’ Tracks
& Marty, Of The Hale & Hearty & Power-Pen Pack
There Was Adell of Deep Wells … & Dio, The Devoted
& Dame Brown Of Mountain-Ground, So Sweetly-Noted

There Was An Irish Lass, O’Leary Of Laughter
& The Golden Daughter Of Grace & Audrey Of Gifted-Banter
& Devonshire, The Dove & Highlander Of Heather-Cove
Of First To Join Search: For Soup & Treasure-Trove

Of Course, We Have A Prince Of Passion Land
& Ismael, A Dream-Merchant From His Own Island
The Prince, Paints Of Pleasures; The Islander Speaks of Treasures
Both Know Of Biggest Royal Cache That We Could Ever Measure !

There Came Tim, The Archer Of The Wit-Forest
& A Determined Mother with Son, The Lady Doris
Maid Adams, Who Teaches How To Keep Cold Away
& The Lightning-Voice Of Linda Marie, Keeps Wolves At-Bay

There Is Sir Lamoureu of Sir Lancelot's Order
He Wields Words In Articulate Axes & Armor
And To Those Who Dare Say Chivalry Is Dead ...
Is Because -The Sonnets of Sir Lamoureu, They Have Not Read
& The Legendary Language That Sir Lamoureu Pledge

Then There's Lady Linda, A Chatelaine & A Poet Destroyer
But She Only Versus The Verses of The Vanity Voyeurers
Her Skill With Quill Accurately Quite Accords
As Proof of Pens Being Mightier Than Swords

We Have A Pretty Elf Known As Anne Lise Andresen
Her Piquant Topics of Poetry Makes Her Our Taliesin
And We Have Our Very Own Kind Maid Merryman
She Transports Adventures Better Than A Ferryman

When I was a child I waited for Your call

How could You do this to me

We stood by the phone but You were busy

How could I have thought You heard

The youngness wasn't enough

You were too disconnected to answer

Unaware we dialed You again and again

The others waited too and starved

I believed in Your love

The Omnipotence fragmented

For you Brother

The signal was one ring and I should ring back

But the Power said disconnected

I tried You again but the voice said no

The number you have reached is not in service

So I checked the number and again it said clear

Those tears turned into a river and we saw You sail by

You were needed at the church and the glory

Two children stayed and together was no matter

Dancing we made new games and prayer

Oh Dio

Am older now and the prayer

My brother is gone cause he took a cab

Their was no fare

He doesn't wait now but I still

I hear him in the night

I see him in strangers and glances

Begging You I wait as before

The toys help with those moments and dialing

Your phone rings off the hook

God help us all

Solar Flares

Sodom and Gomorrah...genesis 19;24
Pompeii...August 24 , a d 79....

1859...the great solar flare struck....telegraph offices reported set ablaze across the face of the globe.....

Am I a man of faith?
Am I a man of facts?
By this believing...
And seeing with my own eyes, for what that is worth to one legally blind.
Aye....
Several years ago near hit with a solar flare...setting the earth back to the days of the British sir...Mr Newton if it had contacted....

Do I believe the words of christ?
Do I consider myself totally dependent on solo christi..
Dio willing , aye...

Christianity has become more horizontal hold
Less vertical hold...

Atheists? Well they get in a fix or right and say o good Lord..
As though he is a mere expression...

Premium Member True Love Is Never Forgotten

I have never forgotten our love
And I will never forget it until I die
Many years of sorrow have passed
But the wound in my heart has never healed
Remember the many kisses we exchanged
Remember all the tears we shed
The burning kisses and the scalding tears
That to the depths of the sea have gone

I have not forgotten this love
How could you have forgotten it?
A love that bound us like a chain
A chain that can never be broken
You still return to me in my dreams at night
Before my eyes I see you every day
How many sweet nights we passed together
How cruel the destiny that has betrayed us.

No peace shall it find in the presence of God
This infamous cruel destiny that betrayed us
Infamous - cruel and heartless
That separated us for all eternity
What remains is just your picture for remembrance
I never grow weary of gazing upon it
I kiss it, I bathe it with my tears, I hold it to my heart
And weep for the sad ending of our love.

O Vera Ammore Non Si Scorda Mai

Numaggio mai scurdate e chesta ammore
E nummo scorde chiu' sino che' more
Sono passati tant'anni di dolore
E num si e' chiuse chiu' sta chiaga o core
Ricordi quanti vase ce simmo date
  Ricordi quante lacrimo chiagnute
Vase e fuoche e lacrime cucente
Che tutte a funne o mare sene' so ghiute

Io non meso' scordate a chesta ammore
Tu comme tu putive mai scurda'
E' stato nammore troppo incatenato
Catene che nun si ponne mai spezza'
Mi viene ancora nsuonno tutte e' notte
Ti vego o iotnre nante all'uocchi miei
  Quante nuttate doce avimmo passate
E penza e distino nfame che cia' tradute

Nun'anna trava' pace nanzi a dio
Chella nfama ca ci fece o trarimento
Nfame e scelleratee senza core
Ci fece sparte a nuie etermamente
Me' remase o ritratto tuoi pe ricordo
Nun me stancasso mai du guarda'
O' vase o' bagne e lacrime mo strengo o' core
E chigane a fine triste e checsta ammore.

1960 and the world was changing
A time for living and rearranging
Baseball in the school yard with a sponge ball and a fist
Donnie Brooks sang Mission Bell and Chubby did The Twist
Bobbie sox and ponytails, school dances were so much fun
Johnny Preston’s Running Bear. I loved the theme from Peter Gunn
A young senator from Boston was in the presidential race
Marty sang El Paso and there was a theme from A Summer Place
Mr. Custer and Alley Oop were fun songs to listen to
While Elvis said It’s Now or Never and also Stuck on You
Ford came out with the Edsel. Remember the unsinkable Molly Brown.
Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool even Cathy’s Clown
We had air raid warnings and marbles in our pockets
Movies in the park and Cape Canaveral shooting rockets
Gable and Monroe in the Misfits, Perry Mason on TV
And the Drifters were singing Save the Last Dance for Me.
There was a draft to serve our country and we were always ready
A time for holding hands and a time for going steady
Kirk Douglas was Spartacus and Burt was Elmer Gantry
Pies were made from scratch and there were apples in the pantry
Larry Hall sang Sandy and Bobby Rydell wailed Wild One
O Dio Mio From Annette. She and Frankie had so much fun
Lonely Blue Boy by Conway Twitty and Bobby’s Beyond the Sea
Duane twanged Because they’re Young and the Everly’s Let it be Me
Those days are precious memories that I hope will never fade
The world was so much kinder then and I was in eighth grade.

Premium Member Christmas Celebrations - a Constanza

See how Christmas fete on earth
Indians will walk to the mass
Enjoy curries and sweets enmass

Australians hang wreaths girthed
Here Santa gives rest to reindeer
Changes dress for less ”hot” with cheer.

Chinese light streets and stores with mirth
Santa is called “Shen Dan Lao Ren”
In shops only the grottos plain.

Yule logs burned in French hearth
With food left, the logs burn all night
In case Jesus comes in the night.

Russians fast till first star rebirths
Then break fast with Kutia eating
For good luck throw some up ceiling.

Ways and approach differ on earth
Call him Christ, Gud, Gott, dieu, dio, God
Ishwar, Allah, he’s the same lord.

See how Christmas fete on earth

Yule logs burned in French hearth
Russians fast till first star rebirths

Ad Amore, Ii

Beatrice Discerno in te come s'agona
la libertate onde 'l superno seme
da la fatal famiglia vi disclona.

Ora viatico non sia teco la speme:
                    d'ella s'inappassisce onne le fronde
                    e singule di rovi quea conceme;

Ne la tua acqua Fede si profonde,
                    così ora sinue ora procella,
per che 'l perdono tui no 'l reconde:

                    ne l'insiema tua decade s'anella
                    l'invisibile Patride secreto,
né per ciò singultate teco insella:

                    de l'universo è 'l tuo spirar decreto

                    dischiodati l'inganno ch'hai trafitto!
O, misero colui che mela intorsa!

Ma su de la tua stele non fia 'nscritto
                  d'alcun reptare serpeo che t'avvinse
se 'n Dio tu prieghi e non a 'l suo delitto:

dirai :" la contumacia che sospinse
                  a contumelia d'alto tribunale
voìco d'esso strazia e meco linse".

                  Parla e dimanda adesso commensale

             onde onne direzione ubice immigli.

Or fa' mi grazia de l'audienza
            dimando d'amorose fiate come
una è sorella ed altra reticenza.

Beautiful Thinking

Standing by my window this afternoon
I raise my glass to Venice in parting
Three days at the Venetian Lagoon
Down Rialto Bridge on a taxi we're riding.

"Buona giornata, Mademoiselle" greets
The room boy smiling, " Fiori per te"
I put the fresh bouquet on crumpled sheets
"It's masquerade ball tonight, my Lady."

"I will meet you at eight", was the letter
In awe of da Vinci's Mona Lisa
Mio Dio, I can't take my eyes off her
"We'll take our next flight to Casablanca."

He whispered with masked eyes staring at me
Tongue tied with every word my love goes on
An impression of love deep as the bluest sea
To you, my beautiful thinking, Godspeed anon.

Always Remember In Spanish

Cuando usted lea esto
Quiero que sepas
lo mucho que significas para mí.

Me alegro que te conocí,
honrado en los hechos.
Has cambiado mi vida para mejor.
Con todos sus actos desinteresados??.
Usted dio a mí
todas tus fuerzas,

Ride Your Wishing Star

In our solar system,
the king of stars is Sun
even though this star
      you cannot outrun,
find a star and make a wish.
       Reach up to the sky.
Grab that star’s glow
        no matter if it’s high.

Chorus:
    Jump, jump, jump up.
Ride your wishing star.
Once you’ve caught a hold of it,
it will take you far.

Don’t let people tell you
       what you have to do.
If you don’t desire it,
        it is not for you.
Everyone has something
        they are dreaming of.
What is it you REALLY want?
         What is it you love?

Bridge:
Success does not come easy. Sometimes you will hear
someone say it’s easy. Only fools say that.
Make your star your stallion, and ride it without fear.

Chorus:
     Jump, jump, jump up.
Ride your wishing star.
Once you’ve caught a hold of it,
it will take you far.

Repeat Chorus
