Notes About The Poem

Terrorist

Some One may ask, hiding behind mask
Who is the terrorist? Who indeed I ask?
Many a terrorist deflect their sins
On the defenders of freedom, they sow their raw hate
They yell their morals then cheat on their mate

They care only for their own righteous words
They brainwash the victims to cut off the heads
Then invent truths to fit their illusions so dead
They sing of peace and sell bullets for blood
Careful of the dark shadows hiding behind masks

They are easy to spot
They say not their names, only to defame
They hide behind codes and monikers
The KKK was classic
At the white cloak game

If you disagree
A hypocrite he says you shall be
When he is the leader of deceiving all of thee
Sweet words never hide the camel’s breath
Ask the children of Assad

Killed by men behind gas masks

You appear to have come full circle Arthur, learning the enemy is a slow curve, ...

It's a good poem, Art, as always exposing the hypocrisy of so much evil out their in the world ... one must ponder what goes in a person's head being driven to that. But I must admit I have difficulty connecting how a poem called "Terrorist" is labelled as "Light Poetry" ... you and I must have different perceptions on what that means ... lol.

Even though I know people like this, I will always try to help them.. We can never give up on such people... many get led astray.

I'm not sure if I get the meaning in here because I am "dim". But great poem.

You are far from dim Tim - sadly many people who see the 'nice but dim' poem dont realise the character assassination behind it - Harry Enfield plays a character Tim nice but dim :-( hugs jan xx

A very powerful truth you have penned here Arthur, the hatred that lies within them boggles the mind. Well done. Hugs

I feel that there is hope for everyone... nobody is perfect, but it is important to have good moral and principles and keep the mind open, sadly some behind masks simply lie lie lie and deceive deceive deceive.

very sharp and though-provoking verse, arthur... there is something edgy about the real motive of one behind the mask.. huggs
