Pay No Attention To the Man Behind the Curtain

Blissfully ignorant and supine,
Lost in the economy line,
voters don’t have a clue
that liberty is through.
Apathy dictates all else is fine.
People keep telling me how foolish I am,
but frankly I don’t give a dam.
I’m going to tell you what I see.
You don’t have to agree with me.
In hatred’s name Moslems prayed at the mosque,
boarded planes and three thousand we lost,
Soon we elected a Moslem president,
his books words and actions self evident.
To prove he was islam’s extremist hero,
He allowed a triumphant mosque at ground zero,
Freedom of religion is what they subtly called it,
by a government that continues to overhaul it.
The American people look on as if still numb,
singing his praises as if deaf and dumb,
while a pseudo democratic uncle Sam,
in a forced health care plan,
continues to turn out liberty’s lights
by destroying other religion’s rights.
Thus the American people’s democracy,
is morphed into a dictatorial hypocrisy.
While blindsided by a frantic economy,
we apathetically lose our autonomy.
Allowed by deaf and blind voters in a loud voice,
Fooled by not freedom but license they call choice,
sly appointment of people who fulfill the plan,
A long range one by the “new” Uncle Sam.
a champion of abortion, killing future contenders
him and Herod; another of the great pretenders.
“Enlightened Americans have one point two children per family,
because of abortion, birth control and contraception
Moslems have seven; which is the anomaly?
We Americans treat babies as an infection.
Laugh if you wish; I’m just exposing the path,
You “enlightened” Americans: you do the math.

Premium Member Hoodlum-Triple Collaboration With Jan Allison and Marti Sutherland

I followed that cad Robyn Hood
and discovered he's up to no good
An expert at cheating
bad mouthing and bleating
His actions I've not understood

Oh how awful that folks feel so glum
Many now call him Robyn Hoodlum
He's a raunchy thief
who brought them to grief
He preyed on the blind, deaf, and dumb

Robyn has folks dancing like Muppets
He loves to treat them like puppets
He tugs at their strings
and then clips their wings
No wonder their confidence plummets

Heard the sheriff will arrest him soon
Robyn will be singing a new tune
While sitting in jail
He will cry and wail
In sorrow for acting like a goon

Sheriff found out Robyn is a girl
Her real name is Antoinette Pearl
Robyn Hoodlum wed
Now the sheriff is dead
and Robyn is engaged to an earl

The Oracle In Love

She laced her eyes
closed with the ties
    of lover's binding vows

     she's flying blind
to prick your mind
    with thoughts
   she's writing now.

She's gained conclusions
      from her flight,
and virtues from your smile,

     she felt your face
  in blinding grace,
     she glorifies your style.

    The double helix
spirals on
to form us as it may,

    we choose another one
to be
a place for us to stay.

The atmosphere
    there crackles,
with lightning
    on her tongue,

    She spins around,
in sightless sound,
     and shatters..........
          deaf and dumb.

The Plaintive Song of a Stone

If I could but feel!
I would feel the warmth
of the sun upon my old,
cold, featureless face....

If I could but touch,
I'd touch the grass I lay on
and revel in its texture like
a little happy king....

If I could but smell,
all the flowers of the world
would be mine: roses and
daisies and even orchids
would be endless delight....

If I could but hear,
then all nature would be
my own symphony--
the birds rejoicing,
the bees buzzing,
dogs barking, even
rolling thunder, all
a continuous music
to my soul....

If I could but see-- ah,
what would a stone see?
The ever breathing beauty
of a world of color and life?
Or would I see its slow and
merciless unraveling by that
other sentient being, burning
its forests and dumping what
cannot be dissolved in eons
into proud, awesome oceans?

But I would treasure my
newfound mind and seek
to thank the Being that
could make even a stone
see and feel and hear and
think and even, in time,
perhaps love....

O, how then I would pity those
born with eyes and ears yet
unable to see Life or hear God,
living their lives scurrying about
like blind, deaf and dumb rats
while the eternal Light bathes all.

Premium Member I Praise You

Lord, I praise You for Your goodness.
I praise You for Your love.
I praise You for the kindness,
That You've shown throughout my life.

I'd be dead if not for You,
Of that My Lord I'm sure.
Though I knew it not You followed me,
My safety to ensure.

Lord, I praise You for Your providence,
And protection through the storm.
I've not always had the best,
But I've always had enough.

Oft You've sent Your angel,
To watch over me;
To follow and protect me,
You always heard my pleas.

Lord, I praise You for the wisdom,
That You saw that I acquired.
I was blind and deaf and dumb,
And You brought me to The Light.

Thank You Lord that now I see,
That now at last I hear.
That at last I've found my voice,
My praise rings loud and clear.

Lord I am unworthy.
I know I am unclean.
I stand ashamed before You,
For the way that I have been;

But Jesus came to rescue me,
He pulled me from the mud.
He gave to me a clean, white gown,
And washed me in His Blood.

Then He held me in His arms,
And told me not to fear,
For He had washed away my sin,
Because He holds me dear.

Even when I knew You not,
Even when I turned away,
You followed me, protected me,
Even though I chose to stray.

I tried to become one with them,
The children of the world.
But they would not accept me,
For on me You'd placed Your Mark.

Lord I want to thank You,
For like the lamb who strayed,
I was in grave danger,
And The Shepherd came and saved.

He saved me from the wolf who stalked,
The serpent's tooth that struck,
He saved me from the slippery slope,
And pulled me from the muck.

Lord I want to praise You.
You are The Mighty God.
You bring life and love and joy,
Wherever You have trod.

No matter where You place Your foot,
A miracle occurs.
To be the lowest member of Your court,
Would be an honor Sir.

Premium Member Her Sense of Humor

A slight hint of consternation was in her voice,
“Why did you tell those people I’m deaf and dumb?”
“I never said you were deaf, my Dear.”
She laughed, but I kinda felt like a bum.

Hell. It was just a joke.

One evening, she asked, “Will you love me if I get chubby?”
I responded, “Of course I still love you.
It would take much more than pounds and cellulite
To make me fall out of love…it’s true.”

Hell. It was just a joke.

“Would you remarry if I die before you?” she asked.
I said, “No…probably not…I’ve been spoiled by you.”
“But you’ve been a great husband. I think you should.”
“Whatever happens, happens is the best I can do.”

“If you remarried, would you play golf with your new wife?
And would you let her use my clubs?” she demanded.
I calmly smiled and said, “Your clubs are safe.
You see, my Dear…she’s left handed.”

Hell. It was just a joke.

Then, she whined and whined about her butt.
I responded, “Want to knock some inches off that ass?
It may sound strange, but I heard it works….
Rinse all your panties in Slim Fast.”

Hell. It was just a joke.

The next day, I readied for work, took ‘undies’ from my drawer.
They were engulfed in a fog of white, why I didn’t know.
So, I asked, “Honey! Why did you put talcum powder on my shorts?”
She slyly smiled, “That’s not talcum powder. That’s Miracle Gro.”

Hell. It was just a joke....I guess.

So, what is my wife’s most endearing feature?
Her sense of humor.... there’s no doubt.
Always a smile where angst or anger might have been,
A smile I never want to be without.

My Son Eli

You came to me before I was ready
I cried when I heard of your existence
Over night my youth was gone
Worried sick that I wouldn’t be good enough for you
Clueless on what expect for the future
Carrying you under my heart for 9 months long
I knew that I love you
I just never knew how much
Then I saw your face
Those beautiful brown eyes staring straight into mine
My heart melted
And I asked myself how can a person love someone so much that they just met
But I did
I love you more than life it’s self
In that instant I knew my purpose on this earth was to protect you from all evil
I would give my last breath to you
I would kill for you
I would steal for you
The little keeper of my heart
My ray of sunshine during a thunder storm
So much joy have you given to me
My life is meaningless without you
I taught you how to walk and how to talk
You taught me that life’s most precious gift is the love of a child
Your smile gets me through tough times
Your laugh is a symphony of music to my ears
I dedicate my entire life to you
I make I lot of promises that I can not keep but the absolute promise to love you till Lord stops my beating heart is one that is forever
I was young and clueless
Wondering around the word deaf and dumb
Until the almighty sent you to me
I am now wiser and understanding
Selfless, patient and gentle
You, my wonderful son, are the reason for this
You changed me
You saved me
I am forever grateful for you
My little pitcher
My soldier
My kung fu ninja
My super hero
The joy of my salvation
Life makes so much more sense when I’m looking at you
Where I go, you will go
I will starve so that you can eat
Go without so that you can have
Sleepless nights and empty bank accounts is all worth seeing you happy
Many will disappoint you, leave you, hurt you, and scar you
But remember momma will forever be right here for you
You are the number one most important thing in my life
You will never come second to nothing or no one
No matter how big you grow you will forever remain my little baby boy
My heart and my soul
My beginning and my ending
My tiny angel without wings
My meaning, my reasoning, my inspiration and my motivation
My one and my only Elijah William Tippett

The Flute

A stick of simple bamboo. .
A wood of no repute.
Hollow, empty, dull...
Deaf and dumb..so mute.

Then..just a few holes they put..
and Oh!! ..how it looked so cute.
Behold the brown bamboo..
It changed itself to a flute.

Fingers flowed..
Sliding the route so smooth.
Acoustics played paradise. .
So serene and so soothe.

 Soft humming sound it found..
Pied Pipers tuned in all around.

Breathing melody deep from heart
Mellifluous magic ? or
Music of Mozart?
What an harmony...What an art!
Lord Krishna embraced ...
His immortal part.

The music of the flute..
In resonance with the Truth.
The world bowed down..
to love and salute...
The 'Opera' of life..a divine astute.

The Whispering of the Trees

When the wind blows I hear the faint sound of voices running through the trees, they speak with low tones as if they are speaking to me.
Their leafs rustling and flapping tells me that the wind is delivering fresh air and to live life without care. With their branches touching one another it teaches me we should hold our hands out to each other, they speak to me with these words of love letting the birds nest high above.

Some are young and some are old these rings of cycles tells this story untold, as they stand so tall seeing the spring, summer and fall and they all sleep through the winter readying their branches for new leafs to fall.
The squirrels scratch their trunks climbing up and down letting the birds view from all around. The woodpecker pecks trying to remove bugs while the Eagle looks for food on the highest branch up above.

They sway in the wind as if they were dancing singing songs by using their leaves, these trees sing this song of beauty and grace as the rain from above waters their roots helping them to hold the earth as the wind blows their branches. They are a family of many that stands together without one complaint teaching man how to live together in all bad weather but, man has become deaf and dumb to theses voices of the trees.

Premium Member Dead To the World

In his head he saw the rising of the moon
In his head he heard the piper's tune
In his head all this was seen and heard
But with his mouth he never said a word

In his head he heard the thunder roar
In his head he saw the eagle sore
Inside his head the thunder and the bird
But with his mouth he never said a word

The people thought his mind was dead
But they could not see inside his head
Though he was deaf and dumb and blind
He was alive inside his mind

In his head were rainbow colours bright
In his head the soft cool breeze of night
Though all these things were seen and felt and heard
With his mouth he never said a word

No More This Time

The eyes of mild dawn on the body of sky
No nose to smell
No ear to hear
No tongue to speak and taste
No hand to touch
No leg to walk away
Just has open breast where heart is playing
A divine ancient game

White rose water on the field
Fertile land in contented embracing
Watering, planting; Watering, planting
No fertilizer comes to interfere
No locust comes to deter far
Yet, swindled all in the imperishable air
Luster of eyes in diminution fair,
In blind, deaf and dumb gyre

No more this time-
Within the blink of eye
Sleeping is wrecked into smile
World finds the sweet child

Premium Member Zealots

Zealots are totally incapable of any emotion other than rage. It is an unalterable law that people who claim to care about the human race are utterly indifferent to the sufferings of individuals.
— Quentin Crisp

ZEALOTS

The raging machine, storms of zigzagging arrows, fueled by each word that bounces off the trampoline of their eardrums. A zealot sage, an oxymoronic knight, not a saint. Stained not with tears but billowing eyes and cheeks.

emotional wreck
concentrated on one theme
no deviation

The heave and the ho of heavy sacks. Teamwork in torrent. The zealot doesn’t stop to hear a prophet, except Simon. Simon will buzz in their ear about a diamond but the team has their eyes on the gold. With cold, strong hands, they sharpen their swords, meditating on the prize. They want to topsy-turvy, throw out the law, upturn the tables of dirty coins.

if one turned his head
a scene of perfect substance -
heals blind, deaf and dumb

Does the tyrant trump the zealot, or is power the point? Both explode. Not on their sides, you will be imprisoned or stomped out. Simple Simon was a zealot whose ears steared toward the Son of God.

Simon the Zealot
apostles known by their works
one’s tax collector

Zealots loose whilst hell’s hammer wills the fastening of cruel suffering. This innocent has the right approach to rid the world of tyrants though the chariots have not entered the course. The zealots would still be wielding their swords as the stone was kicked away in a powerful way.

Zealots have their way
the martyrs follow Christ’s way
Simon chose wisely

Premium Member I Wonder If Death Will Be Anything

I wonder if death will be anything
Quite like living, such as
Stretching the imagination
And allowing for opportunities
Of love and selfless giving. Freely
Recognizing one’s demise isn’t something we wish
To dwell upon more often than the beauty of
An early morning sunrise
Or the reflection of our own soulful
Self in another lover’s eyes. Still,
I can’t help but wonder what mysteries
Await us everyone; below the ground
Where sights and sounds are frozen,
Deaf and dumb. While not wishing
To overstate a point of endless view,
I pray that when they lay me down
I still might see the stars that shine and
Sunflowers in full bloom.
