Premium Member She's Abusive and That's Conclusive

There was a fussy bovine named Flossy
who was snooty and always so bossy
her udders would droop
when she took a poop
She bellowed until her eyes got glossy

Flossy had teeth like a barracuda
Her biting habit just made her ruder
She's not very sharp
She spit when she'd harp
So I called a few friends and we shewed her

Then she threatened to have me arrested
Thought she'd beaten me and had me bested
Knocked her on her duff
She wasn't so tough
Alas, she kept right on and protested

I saw her on the street the other day
Her monstrous butt sat on a bale of hay
Stuck her tongue at me
Mooed, "Hello, ducky"
She trotted off when I aimed pepper spray

What a chunky hippo she has become
I think Flossy secretly sucks her thumb
Waddles when walking
Ranting and squawking
To senility, Flossy has succumb

Bovine creatures can be quite abusive
When they should be a closet reclusive
The more that they speak
The more that they reek
My findings are all justly conclusive

THE BATTLE OF THERMOPYLAE - A SPARTAN DEATH WISH - 480 BC

300 Spartans or hoplites , the truly heroic
The loyal and totally patriotic,
Were ordered to fight to the death,
And To their very last breathe!
King Leonidas had to stop the Persian
Army and King Xerxes from capitulating
Athens, but these 300 strong
Were hopelessly outmatched, so wrong.
In addition, a traitor was lurking around,
Ephialtes knew he could find common ground
With Persia’s King Xerxes, Ephialtes wanted money
King Xerxes a conclusive win, a thought that wasn’t sunny!
Ephialtes, a Judas, told the Persians about the pass
To go around the mountain and surprise
The Greeks from the back.
Ephalites led them for he had the knack!
King Xerxes sent his 10000 “immortals” on this mission,
Xerxes himself put this mission into commission!
Puzzling however, is that King Leonidas knew,
The Persians were coming, yet ordered the hoplites to stay,
And the supporting army to go away,
Was this a deliberate act of self sacrifice, for an oracle
Appeared, which confirmed that should King Leonidas die,
And his honest, loyal soul soar to the sky,
Sparta would not be destroyed, and another interpretation
Was that King Leonidas wanted to give them time to escape,
Which they did. The 300 Spartans left fought
Bravely until each one dropped and they became naught!
And what happened to our notorious,
Traitor, Ephialtes – in Greek his name
Means nightmare,
Welcome nowhere, surely that’s fair!
The Battle of Thermopylae, the bravery of King Leonidas
Together with his 300, brave, strong and determined
Hoplites have contributed to a beautiful and rich history,
But the mystery
Remains, why did they choose to stay and die, instead of
Getting up to leave,
Abandoning families that would surely grieve.
The battle of Thermopylae took place in August 480 BC,
A great historical era, to which only the Spartans had the key!

Holy Communion

The vibes we ride
the highs, the lows
conversations with
conclusive innuendos
Hypotheticals and
experiments
we engage in
acrobatics of
noun and verb duels
Your en garde
I fall hard
Butter knife
tongues
Eucharistic bread
the uncovering
of your body
unravels my
mentality
Intoxicatingly
sipping your
Lord have mercies
Amen and Amen

Poetic forms are special tools for me;
their rhythmic patterns mold words into shape.
Like guarded gates, they hold the imagery
and keep it tight so it does not escape.

There are so many types from which to choose-
but strict iambic forms do challenge me.
Without construction, words sometimes confuse;
strong rhyme and meter shape my poetry.

A small iambic form that shines the best-
The sonnet is a perfect writing scheme.
Its octave sets the stage as sestet next
delivers firm reactions to the theme.

The ending couplet states conclusive thought;
sums up emotions or an answer sought.

It's taken me sixty years
Of evolution
To realise the simplicity
Of Earthen electricity

My naked feet, like freshly cleaned
Battery terminals
Strolling in hilarity
To observe correct polarity

Electrons flowing in and out
As I freely shuffle about
In hippyfied insanity
With toes embracing nudity

The science is effusive
So wonderfully conclusive
My body craves perfection
In each pedantry inflection

So to join the sockless roamers
The grass lovers and beach combers
I will earth myself completely
With each step I place, so neatly

Is it magic or just factual?
Like a nature deal, contractual
Or perhaps we were never meant
To be disconnected, discontent

And maybe it's progression
To dismiss the shoe of intercession
Returning to natural citizenship
Of barefoot - grass relationship

Reject the concrete,
Resist the vulcanised persistence
Embrace the beauty
Of a sole-full existence

Premium Member Stung Into Life

When the call of adventure dawned on the wayfaring traveller

He sat down at the rock face quite tearful weary and sweaty

Thought about fate meaning and streamed in consciousness

A poet with a license to kill time and serene wavering spirit

Fond of nature and nurture he looked down a perilous cliff

Life had been poisonous recently and in need of reflection

Close to a meandering delta of final conclusive determination

He moved forth inch by un-relentless inch in search of resolve

Freedom seemed far away in the clouds with linings receding

Valleys of hopelessness approached vision void and oblivion

And yet he felt a tickle of excitement close to his wounded heart

Redirected his mind to a creepy sensation touching his mind

He recalled his yoga teacher’s advice not to hurt sentient beings

Secured mountain pose and lotus position for focus and peace

In awe he looked at the Skeleton Tarantula’s urticating bristles

Stretched on his skin and ready to puncture his ultimate life line

Smooth hairy and frightened the little creature pondered

Whether to play dead or defend its masterful existence with

One venomous bite as the lonely seeker of truth closed his eyes

And calmly decided that wisdom required patience and kindness

I am not afraid of middle age Let the inquisition of cunning smiles begin My ambition is not conclusive yet My passion is not devoured by deliberation in the night For I know that I am the profit margin of my dreams And that my vices are as real as my virtues are strong No, I am not afraid of middle age For I have only just begun to rediscover this miracle That I am

A Marksman

A MARKSMAN

This futuristic society is all about the status quo.
The soul of humanity is therefore exposed to terrorists attacks and war.
Where I am from cries out to unknown God to no be the prophesy of Armageddon.
An eternal doomsday is perceived.
So much is happening for no reason at all other than man not seeing himself as his own dilemma.

The site or time of a final and conclusive battle between the forces of good and evil defines the State of the Union now.
Pseudonymity, symbolic imagery, and the expectations of a nice-styled terrorist attack is an imminent cosmic cataclysm in which God destroys.
The ruling power of evil is no more because the raising of righteous lives has superseded all others.

Messianic kingdoms are part of a historic form relating to a messiah being our savior.
In that we must be our own guardian angel and establish defense by being aware of the impending danger, knowing our territory is of great importance.
With the bordering of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic oceans, immigration is our focus.
However, what is happening today is our own melee.
Native born lives are being negated by those that are for the United States (of America) as a white man’s persuasion.
Fracas has therefore formed in which snipers are born.

Zika Virus End Within Sight

Zika Virus End Within Sight

For far too long we have been at the mercy of tiny little creatures from hell..
Specialised tormentors that seek and suck blood from victims in order to procreate…
Being mosquitoes, their insidious bites and itches are most irritating to our toes…
Each time they make a bee line for quick nip of blood letting , much to our woes..

Given the many varieties and types of these irritating flying insects…
It is most abundantly found in many countries, especially in the tropics…
Besides interrupting sound sleep, these hellish insects spread dangerous diseases…
Central to all of these deadly diseases is the spread of the flaviviruses…

Now this is a family of dangerous and deadly viruses borne by mosquitoes…
If these viruses are a danger to the mosquitoes themselves, we can rejoice…
But the Almighty God in His infinite wisdom has deemed otherwise…
Mosquitoes are carriers, they are the vessels to spread the diseases worldwide..,

Latest World Health Organisation alert has awakened the world all over…
Zika virus is afire, spreading and infecting the human population many times over…
Health and hospital authorities are swamped with increasing numbers of Zika sufferers..
It is a worldwide call to be vigilant, microcephaly in new born babies a consequence…

Today there is some good news to the end of this Zika tunnel of health concern..
The proverbial light at the end of its tunnel of darkness and its dire consequences…
Careful research on a group of volunteers isolated for some intensive clinical monitoring…
Has yielded very promising results that might well signal a momentous medical breakthrough..

As the world awaits for more conclusive and definitive measures to counter the flaviviruses..
Hopes are raised that in time, medical science overcomes all variant forms of the flaviviruses…
As we continue to hope and await the latest drugs and medicine to be readily available..
It is vital we try to minimise and eliminate the mosquito menace at home as far as possible…

What Life Means To Me

Life means I can talk to my friends and others,
When the untravelled sea fills with brothers,
Pleasure rushes the uninhabited areas we just don't sail,
And when we semiotically emit our meaning, we will prevail;
Freedom rings with resonance resounding and pervasive,
No need for more traditional others to be abrasive,
No bears or wolves, no chides, jibes, and no probes obtrusive,
Your identity is your construct, your speech is conclusive.

And my books! Alas my books. They proffer so such contentment,
A breadth of knowledge with no suggestions delinquent,
Nor are there any accusers to accost,
My mind and spirit which upon some can be lost,
Possibilities endless, bringing depth of character,
They glint and glide, swimming in grammar;
Multiple amounts of information councel my hesitation,
Brimming particulars restrain inhibition.

But oh my computer: How elegant is she!
Believing in my easy registrations as well as my errors to be;
Such possibilities, moulded so neatly into my space,
Without the communal glare of uniformity’s trace;
Personalised desktop, memory and input method,
It accepts me unquestioned with no staff or flogging rod;
I program to set the user interface alight,
With the functionality and procedures of the user’s plight.

However, I can also give myself my own system,
Personal software from my own inclination;
Knowing some designers do not have in hand,
The shortcuts that only I seem to understand;
A software engineer’s god complex should not surface,
The digital space is a privilege to influence, place;
I love determining the screen and its sounds,
Where freedom of knowledge and data abound.

But the gift of poetry delights and ignites,
Hurtful regressions lull in its sight;
Its credibility only ever stoops to concede,
That only your introversion may expression impede;
Language caressed, dignity nursed,
You never need to be at all reimbursed;
Its haters are silent for fear of rebuke,
As truth, imagination and love are its hook.

Fracas Miscellany

FRACAS MISCELLANY

(Let's Slam):

This futuristic society is all about the status quo.
The soul of humanity is therefore exposed to terrorists’ attacks and war.
Where I am from cries out to unknown God to no be the prophesy of Armageddon.
An eternal doomsday is perceived.
So much is happening for no reason at all other than man not seeing himself as his own dilemma.

(Now Rap):

A sniper
A peace fight
Police officers lost their lives.
From the highest tower,
Shots are fired.
Over what is stated to be the white man crimes.

Of oppression and a racist society
A peace fight transpired.
Five officers died.
We mourn and we cried,

(We Slam):

The site or time of a final and conclusive battle between the forces of good and evil defines the State of the Union now.
Pseudonymity, symbolic imagery, and the expectations of a nice-styled terrorist attack is an imminent cosmic cataclysm in which God destroys.
The ruling power of evil is no more because the raising of righteous lives has superseded all others.

(Now we Rap):

Shouting the face of America has been scrutinized from
Transgression of another hate crime.
Six were wounded and five died
Over Black lives matter.

(Slamming):

Messianic kingdoms are part of a historic form relating to a messiah being our savior.
In that we must be our own guardian angel and establish defense by being aware of the impending danger, knowing our territory is of great importance.
With the bordering of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic oceans; immigration is our focus.
However, what is happening today is our own melee.
Native born lives are being negated by those that are for the United States of NA as a white man’s persuasion.
Fracas has therefore formed in which snipers are born.

(Ends with it's a Rap):

Upsetting the balance of society
A sniper - a suicide boomer manifest.
Upset with white people - a state of madness
He stated he wanted to kill a multitude of them,
White police officers especially.

Today is troubled.
Tragedy is an ongoing melee.
Now an uproar throughout the United States (of NA).

Heaven Is a World

In getting into a conclusive unit

We may need a saturated balloon

From what we have got is far from accepting

Those who insisted beyond lying pits.

Dear men under siege, from back and forth

who face scratching soil and the scorching sun

Yet have to account for what they have earned.

Who will call who into justice burst forth.

Heaven must have been right reward for them.

But libido instilled in them a love

Of touch, riches, mantle, mansion and fame

Waved their fat claimed hope, achievements... But tough.

No amount of clarion call to guidance
Will stay their world, if they won't be guided.

Earth Ii

In an area known
as the Goldilocks zone;
that rare and hospitable place,

a planet's been found
in an orbit around
a star like our own, deep in space.

With Earth to compare,
it has breathable air,
a surface that's fluid with water,

consensus conclusive,
the planet elusive,
where life as we know it could prosper.

Many light years away
it is likely to stay
far beyond our technologies ways,

and in hopes to be fair
to the residents there,
I will pray that's the way that it stays.
