The Concealed Anguish

Take my letter to her, O Messenger!
Yes, totally washed are its words and phrases
A deed of my flooding eyes I couldn’t deter
The tornado of tears accumulated for ages

The storm of anguish concealed in heart
Washed all urges of soul that flowed from pen
The torrents rumbling from the start
Once started couldn’t be stopped there and then

Her perception will be triggered, I am sure
This blank sheet will reveal all that I meant to say
The power of love will her instincts conjure
My feelings, my urges won’t go astray

Tell her, that the lustrous mansion of pride and ego
Is falling to pieces like the house of cards
The dark alleys of life that lost their glow
In a state of disrepair, description beyond words

The King of Diamond has lost the game
A player is lucky to hold the three A’s
Lost is all the glory and fame
Built in years and lost in days

His eyes craving for your enchanting face
The candles of his eyes weep in the desolate nights
Lost is all peace and tranquility’s trace
Your charming features his heart ignites

A few breaths are left in the dying tree of life
With fallen leaves and barren branches entwined
Resuscitate and free it from torments and strife
Be a glow of the dimmed eyes that brilliantly shined

Tell her, the writer awaits your reply
With burning heart and soul alight
Before torments enhance and wounds multiply
And the bird of life takes to wing of flight

Concealed Hatred

If I would have known
A very long time ago
That you would hate me so....
By now...I would have let you go
What is it about me
That drives these emotions
Of malice and envy
At the end I still question
Did you ever have an ounce of love for me?
How can such emotions exist in the same space?
I was too blind to see this on our first date
There was never a dedication
Because of your hidden hatred
Was always mistaken

What I Need Concealed

When I cannot tell you how I feel
When I want to see you ,not to speak,
I talk about the weather like a fool

Sometimes when I’m tired I feel unreal
Or life seems lost and meaning seems to leak
Then I can not tell you how I feel.

Some months have their winds to make misrule
Winds to throttle throats and freeze the cheeks
I talk about the weather ,as its cool.

We must keep moving or our blood congeals
So sheep must on moorland frosty, bleak
I don’t want to lie for life is real

When winter mocks our age I find it cruel
Yet you are old and for amusement look
I talk about the sunshine like a fool

Oh,happy snowfalls keeping us from school
As on the ice we tumbled with loud shrieks
When I cannor tell you how I feel
The weather stands for what I have concealed

Premium Member Something Lies Concealed

Reluctantly, I'm ascending stairs. . .
Sensations of a dreadful cold
Permeate my trembling skin.
Through the window the moonlight glares.
My footsteps falter, but I'm growing bold,
And my climb begins again.

Darkness grips me with its wicked claws.
Something lies concealed.
I hear my heart beating frantically;
A dark foreboding gives me pause.
Consumed by it, my spirit chills;
I must unveil what hides from me. . . .

* My daughter,Angela Hobbs, who is writing a novel based
loosely on her first marriage, had me collaborate with her
on this poem that is the introduction to her novel named
"Confidentially Yours" and which is done in form of letters
written to a fictionalized friend. Angela dabbled in poetry
in high school and I am thrilled to see her sprinkling poems
into her novel. Praying it will be able to be published one day.
I still need to get started on MINE!! BTW: both stanzas are
ours. It was her idea and I helped a lot with the phrasings.)

Concealed By a Bramble Bush

Concealed by a bramble bush,
Fixated to her tight swathe.
She takes a little look around,
Then peels off her clothes to bathe.

Standing there with just a pink panty,
The small of back had perfect dimples.
She hesitated for a while in the cool breeze,
That kissed her skin to form goose pimples.

Hugging herself, she dipped a toe in the water,
Then performs a shivery dance.
My eyes made love to her beauty,
My body succumbed to their romance.

She turned to the side as if walking a tight rope,
And skimmed the water surface with her foot.
I saw her perky mountainous breasts,
And almost let out a coyote’s crying woof.

A goddess, a picture, and artists dream,
Every man’s vision of heavenly thighs.
I stood unblinkabley mesmerised,
Thinking “Thank you for my bramble bush disguise.”

This is how I met my second wife, Jane, by the way
And love her with the same passion as that very day
I found out later that she was the sister of Glen
Who is my close Imaginary friend

*I think I killed the end for you all :-)

The Concealed, Revealed

From behind the veil, my tears, I dare to peer out
while forever longing, wishing to remove all doubt
waiting for a time, when the hidden will be revealed
when truth will prevail, no longer to remain concealed

This self-banishment is my unbroken silence, a journey I take
in order to traverse my world within, all else I must forsake
finally hoping to arrive, by following a destination foreseen
this remains my sole means of escape, fleeing to my dream

The hardships we all endure, why to remain mentally impeded
life's momentary setbacks, keep us from becoming conceded
this life is a prison, like in those dreams, we hide but cannot flee
ultimately time will dictate, how many years remain for us "to be"

To be" or "not to be" is then no longer a question, but is the answer
while for those who choose unwisely, "to be" becomes their cancer
how can they turn those unmovable hands, how to retrieve the past
to be given one more chance, and maybe to find eternal peace at last

Lies multiply advancing with time, caught in the confusion of the storm
nevertheless, you refuse to budge, you would rather die than conform
knowing what life is really about, you remove the darkness from the light
giving selflessly to others what they need most, and you become their sight

We can't always recognize the good in all things, but we will soon understand
when the concealed is revealed, only then will we recognize the guiding hand
along with the setting of the sun, are those dreams for us to ultimately behold
tears no longer to be shed, because now you're forever part of a heavenly fold

A Treasure Concealed

Smoky puffy clouds hovered around
Pungent waves engulfed thy existence
Plummeting gullible hopes to ground
Troubled waters obscured persistence.

Exploding, unnerving, dark remorse
Glanced for an anchor to float away
Behold the dazzling ripe inward source
Auspiciously holding thee at bay.

Hath saved all years those memories loved
Nourished thy soul and dissolved in thee
Wrapped by thy mother and beloved
Fear not, unshackle that warmth, foresee!

Love of all had been thy pious bridge
Cross over! Treasured faith holds that ridge.

Concealed Is My Love

Can it be so my only love
has me but to cherish a memory,
rather than to place me above
any heart that has ever set her free?
I take the final place of last
amid prizes of her loves she has won.
Might I interpret that all amassed
is despondent to the quotient of none.
Yet,careless is her soul that roams
long,beseeching that which is heaven-sent.
Frivolous;marks her quest unknown
for a glowing love, time renders unfervent.
If she looks behind her I shall be
true acolyte upon the brink of her past.
Beyond a love's ululate decree
she will hearken and see a love meant to last.

Love Concealed

Love concealed

Of a truth, I wish time could be rewind
Back to the days of my innocency
I wish I could see your inviting smiles again
Hear your soothing words, so precious
I was in love but couldn't say it

That feeling that leaves me in dilemma
To confess the war within, so troubling
Was it the fear of having NO for YES
Or that I wasn't sure of my intention
Though we met like a mere passerby
But in me, lies the burning passion

Hungered to let the cat out of bag
That day we sat at the restaurant
I thought the call you received was from a lover
I had to swallow my spilt and erase the feeling
The battle was endless, I couldn't win
It was a true love, concealed!

But now, I feel so unbelievable
Realising , then the feeling was mutual
That you waited for me to spill it
Helping my courage with your First Class hugs
Those pecks coming through Bluetooth medium
The time and attention you gave to me
So real and true from a woman that cares
Love, true love, unexpressed

Now, the second change is like impossibility
Like a president that blew his first term
Second term would demand some rigging
But how could I rig through for a true love ?
Now that another man has taken my place
The hugs and pegs from you aren't coming again
It was really a love so concealed

I will profess my love without delay
To another woman that I may love
Love concealed gave me no second chance
And I will not give 'love concealed' a second chance
To deprive me of having the woman I love

The Riddle of Shiny Helen

Love hearts and scabby knees.
Dead flies and stinging bees.
Dirty nails and sweaty lips.
Fishnets with ragged slips.
Eyeholes in a hessian sack.
Pimples on a tattooed back.
Toys that she just can’t unpack.
Helen.
Secret Helen.

Lies from a mother’s heart.
Secrets that fell apart.
Beauty too divine to see.
As purple as a Judas Tree.
Singing from her cradle jail.
A baby crying weak and frail.
Giggle, breathe, inhale, exhale.
Helen
Splintered Helen.

An infantile brutalist.
A wide-awake somnambulist.
Mamma’s bile and Daddy’s fist.
A kiss, a slap a broken wrist.
She hides within a dark recess.
She dances with her own distress.
A monster wearing fancy dress.
Helen
Sacred Helen.

Fantasies of guilt and sin.
Concealed beneath a slab of skin.
Loathe the self and stunt the flesh.
Her impotence and spite enmesh.
To love the girl, she veils the face.
To save the world from its disgrace.
Before she leaves without a trace.
Helen
Shiny Helen.

Concealed Behind the Veil

Suppressed behind this afflicted excuse of a cover up
A hurting young lady lies
Afraid to show her face to the eyes,
eyes of the man who hurt her
And repeatedly told her she would never be nothing in life
As her preceded to rape her

Stripping her of her dignity, as she was losing all her sanity
Her hurt filled screams of fear
Followed and accompanied with the streams
Of way more than just one tear
never seemed to move this man
Who’s breath reeked of bud light beer

Who’s eyes tattled about the weed he had smoked just hours before
Which was slowly tearing down his body
As he compressed himself on top of her
Taking her precious virginity,
Innocence she would never get back
Just so he could go and tell his homeboys “Oh I hit that”

Now this young lady feels alone
Afraid to open up to another
Another victim who has the same story
Who could help her through
And possibly get her in church to kneel by the alter

Kneel and ask God to give her a forgiving heart
So one day she’ll be able to forgive this
sad specimen of a man
A man who has her alone and scared
Afraid to show her face, because of what these
Judgmental people may think

Not knowing the truth, The truth that lies behind
Behind her undried teary eyes
The truth she decided to cover up,
after being raped and feeling unclean
Hoping it will help forget the mean and ungodly things
This sorry excuse of a man did to her

She never played the fool
Just went by the rules
Being a player in this over-rated game of life
And yet she is a prisoner of words unsaid
Left searching for peace inside herself
Dealing with the feelings and emotions deserted and trapped in her mind

Her heart full of madness and slowly taking over her mind
When she thinks to speak, She stops and remain silent
Silenced by the thought of him holding her down
With her body exposed
Now left trying to leave the was
To start with the right now

But is still left imposed
With looking for someone
anyone
To blame.

Premium Member Concealed Charisma

The chromatic cords
of splendorous spring
embroider arcane art
on convivial tapestry
embellished elegance
dramatically drapes
the luminous landscape
of vibrant vivacity
as dream-drenched
blue lagoon
gets lashed
by idyllic eyelids
and
the lotus petals
of luscious lips
painted poignant
on silken canvas
of content countenance
the dulcet design
of narcissist facade
of innate pride
swathes furtively
the secret scars
of suppression syndrome
expunged.

The toiling time
revolves relentless
on convoluted canvas
etched with
fading felled leaves
of auburn autumn
in life consumed
while
the winter spider
weaves with strands
of twilight moments
the ordained web
with senile streaks
around hollow eyes
staring forsaken
at forlorn fringe
of weathered wasteland
as the lustrous lips
the fading flowers
lose withered
pristine patina
hedonist psyche
refuses to gauge
the grief of loss
the face morphs
into metaphor
for living panorama
captured by
the sanguine snapshot
of concealed charisma.
