WHEN OUR WORLDS COLLIDE

Verse 1
I would love to be your comfort
A blanket when you're confused
A bright song on every dark day
Warmth and hope you cannot lose

To be the canopy to cover you
When life’s storms come your way
I can be the one you’ve longed for
'Cause I hear the words you don't say

Pre-Chorus
Let the past slip through your fingers
Those old ghosts fade from sight
Take my hand and feel the difference
You're walking into light

Chorus
When our worlds collide, love paints the sky with quiet fire
With colors only born from deep desire
You're safe in my arms, girl, don’t be shy
This is what it means when the night reshapes its light
And your heart finally whispers, “You’re mine”

Verse 2
Your eyes could light the skies tonight
That coy smile, wow... it melts my heart
My guitar plays you sweet love songs
This is our time when true love starts

Bridge
Drift away, lay your fears down
On this shoulder made for you
In the hush, hear my vow, my truth—
Every dream you dream, I’ll pursue

Chorus
When our worlds collide, love paints the sky with quiet fire
With colors only born from deep desire
You're safe in my arms, girl, don’t be shy
This is what it means when the night reshapes its light
And your heart finally whispers, “You’re mine”

Outro
Being with you, I’m filled with wonder
A kiss goodnight, no need to hide
In the morning, I’ll be your first sight
This is how it feels...
When our worlds collide

Premium Member When Sheep Collide

'Tis strange where we should get the notion
That poetry expressed in motion
Should within the human form reside.
When nature gives us many chances
Unpractised and ephemeral dances
Like in a muddy field when sheep collide

Truth is, that nature's not so humble
And doesn't mind the dancer's stumble
There's nothing that it ever seeks to hide
Uncaring it leaves all revealed
And is not shamed if one small field
Has crazy sheep and one long muddy slide

They're mad, they're bad, they're having fun
Those naughty sheep and every one
Is doing what convention has denied
The hillside's muddy, wet and slick
With crazy sheepies sliding quick
Down to the bottom, down where sheep collide.

Many count good nature's fare
The birdsong and the country air
Among the wonders of the countryside
But strange delight can yet be found
In woolly bodies sliding round
A simple muddy field where sheep collide.

While nature guides celestial spheres
In cosmic dances, it appears,
With majesty the earthborn are denied
Down far beneath in mud and grass
A sheep slides on its woolly a***:
A sense of fun, though not a sense of pride.

Premium Member When Families Collide

Around this time of year
Our families draw near
They gather side by side.

Young and old they meet
And munch on tasty treats
Around the fireside.

A conversation starts
The subject quickly parts
A gap a generation wide.

The men get more intense
The women are incensed
They exit and they cry.

But grandma has a plan
She does all that she can
And quickly runs outside.

She finds her new grand babe
In mama's arms and says
"He's needed there inside!"

She brings the baby in
All eyes are turned to him
His smile a mile wide.

A calm is then restored
Old arguments ignored
Hearts melt away their pride.

A child brought them peace
Just like the Prince of Peace
Back then one starry night.

I entered my dream amidst a lavender grassy plain
I realised looking up that the skies are not the same
Orange to yellow patterns as if in cotton wool collage
Blood red horizons in compass as I view my dreams mirage

A noise captures my ears as I turn to view from where
Upon an orangey maned zebra, what I see leaves me stare
She, with Tiger stripes and naked, breasted so heavenly
To the cotton clouds she looks, with a raven so beautifully

My mind now hears cloven hooves, as if beating on the ground
Now many approach from distance, floating, now I'm in surround
The skies begin to darken, blood red horizons seen before
So surreal amidst this lavender, through an alternate back door

Whilst the raven gently hovers she turns her eyes to me
In complexed look of amaze, I think what does she see

When Heartbeats Collide

oh! my very dearest muse
when heartbeats collide
inspired me I must advise
such inspiration you infuse

when heartbeats collide
what err the barrier, love
and the beating sun above
it is how we humans survive

‘have a fear’, I say to all humanity
as you fight amongst yourselves
if you forget nature, in your hell’s
she will indeed create a new reality

no doubt wars add to world pollution
including all its terrible aftermath
yet leaders still have their hot baths
pray one day we will find a solution

Premium Member Two Hearts Collide

I believe in love, God's greatest gift.
A priceless treasure within our heart.
Emotions, like the ocean tides, shift,
It must be cherished from the start.

Love was part of my life, for many years.
I assumed it endless, I assumed wrong.
I saw it being washed away by my tears.
I tried holding on, but I was not that strong.

Almost a lifetime of love was mine to share.
I was sure it was real, it was true.
I expected it would always be there,
for I had such faith in me and you.

I sadly discovered that love could bring pain.
That and fear nearly broke my will.
Could I survive this, see the sun rise again?
A mountain to climb, but unable to get up the hill.

The wounds are deep, but I am still here.
I finally let go as I watched myself bleed.
So much debris that I had to clear.
Keeping little, just what I would need.

Love is no longer found within me.
Though I yearn for it, it will be denied.
My soul knows that it will never be.
Lost forever is the magic, when two hearts collide.

When your eyes meet mine
across the threshold of time
I lose my inhibition bit by bit
and for you, I find my wit

Honey dipped darts of love
from Cupid's push n' shove
I loosen the tongue and speak
and my knees go tender- weak

When your hand links into mine
and your eyes begin to shine
I want to shower you with kisses
and grant you ...all my wishes .

When Two Worlds Collide

What happens when two worlds collide?
Will there by earthquakes, hurricanes, or tsunamis
When combining something that should stay divided?

It's like a scientist's experiment
Will it work, or will it not?
What happens when two worlds collide?

Will everything co-exist in perfect harmony like dew on a flower after a rain shower?
Or erupt like a landslide during a volcano?
When combining something that should stay divided?

And will love come through as strong as ever to seal the deal
Or crash and burn on the dreams of tomorrow?
What happens when two worlds collide?

When all seems lost and hope is scarce; will it re-ignite into yesterday's flame
And light the world with burning desire,
When combining something that should stay divided?

Even though I try no to remember you and the love we once shared, I can't help but wonder
Why, why...
Did our two worlds collide when they should have stayed divided?

What happens when dreams collide with fate
and you struggle to rationalize?
What about if everything burns up in smoke
and you are not able to realize?
What happens when you cannot find the time
being left only to fictionalize?
What about your ending beginning afterlife
away from what you can idealize?

When Fur Flies and Worlds Collide

Some years ago I fell on hard times.
So my friend took me in and my cat Kiwi too.
At times life speaks in rhythm and rhymes.
We had adventures and this story's true.

She had Simba who was a huge dog.
Sometimes the cat and dog would fight.
Simba usually slept like a log.
While Kiwi prowled all through the night.

One day I tried to protect my kitty.
So into the master bedroom I threw her.
Unknown to me this was such a pity.
For suddenly there was flying fur!

Seems Simba was in there taking a snooze.
Kiwi landed smack on his back.
Out they charged and began to cruise.
Galloping like a pony, nothing left intact.

Kitty dug in her claws;held on for dear life.
Doggy whimpered as he flew room to room.
Those claws were sharp as a razor knife.
This magic carpet ride bound for doom.

We laughed so hard we nearly spit.
To see kitty taking this rough ride.
We couldn't help but roll with it.
Suddenly Simba flipped on his backside.

Down flew Kiwi over his head.
Off she ran , somewhere to hide.
Simba glanced around with dread.
That was sure some crazy ride!

When Colors Collide

I dated Mary Browne from out of town
 She was a lovely lass.
She'd auburn hair and freckles and a perky little ass .
The donkey carried her to Sunday school
And all seemed well and bright.
The lads were green with envy , especially Parson White .
But big Bob Gray , on that fateful day
 Said ; " WOW !!!, she'd grace my bed.
As he thrust his lusty hand at her,the poor girl turned bright red.
Her ass was having none of this,
 He heehawed ... heehawed... " Don't dare " !!!
And with a flick , lashed out a kick
Now Bob Gray is gone much greyer .
His eyes are now pink bloodshot .
His groin is black and blue .
But now he sings soprano , from the very last church pew .
Then Sheriff Green came on the scene
 Not knowing what to do
Said "never mind , I'm colour blind , can't tell my pink from blue.
My amber , mauve or lilac could be torquise , white or brown ,
So saddle up your donkey and get your ass out of my town".

Two Heart's Collide

Sizeable Passion Grows, Unspoken Exhilarates Her Hunger
For His Undying Love To Her.
Two Heart's Collide Then Lightnin Struck
Only In Their Dream's Can She
                                    Come To Him,
                                      In Secrecy.

                          Wrapping So00 Ever Tightly,
Around The Clouds Sealing The Kiss
                            So00 Intimitly....Pressed!

                           He Gentley Lay's Her Down
                            On Silky Sheets Of Blue
                      Ribbon Caressing Her With Finesse
                                 Oh So00 Ever Softly.

                      The Two Heart's Collide Creativitly
                             Speaking, Unlocking Lips:
                                    Oh So00 Quietly.

                             When Two Heart's Collide,
                            Oh So00 Feircely, Knowing
They Can Only Be Together In Dream's
                           He Softly Kisses Her Goodnight,
With Deep Watered Passion In His Eye's
                                     She Can Now Sleep
                                  Restfully Against His,
                                       Chest; Shortly
                               Awakened The Two Heart's
                                        That Collided,
                                            Forever
                                           Dreamed....

When Worlds Collide

Lying naked atop her bed, her pure white dove..
A string of black feathers strung, across her breast
Gently her soft fingers, caressing, her flower so fragrant
Eyes of want gazing deeply into my own; her beauty, my love.

Bullying and Suicide Collide

Too many young souls are taking their own lives
People don't realize their words cut deeper then knives
This needs to be a bigger part of our children's education
The consequences can be deadly and we need to spread awareness across our whole nation
What brings these young kids to these fateful choices?
It often comes from cold, cruel, hateful voices
It comes from so much more then being physically pushed around
The emotional turmoil they endure, they try to drown out the sound
Whatever happened to "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all?"
I guess unfortunately most people would rather make you feel less then two inches tall
You never know what some of these kids may be going through at home
As far as you know they may already feel isolated and alone
They may have never experienced the unconditional love that you've known
They may be seeking and hoping at school to find love and support to be shown
We are all children of God aside from our size, shape or race
Without extra hate and discrimination this world can already be a cruel enough place
People may already be going through something much bigger then me and you
Let's not make their lives harder and add bullying to it too
We need to stop and end the bullying and hate
Unfortunately for far too many it's already too late
You walk into your classroom and the desk is empty where the student you picked on once sat
Your teacher announces they killed themselves, can you live with that?
Rumors, gossip and slander have such a devastating impact
We've got young teens making a suicide pact
These kids are ending their lives before they've really even begun
Now tell me this, does bullying still sound like fun?
Don't play a role in taking a child away from their mother, father, sister,or brother
We need to open our eyes and hearts,be part of the solution and find more love for one another

When Cultures Collide

Where the river ends
And the ocean begins;
Cultures collide
And history’s tide,
Erases a way of life
For the indigenous people.

St. Lawrence Iroquoians
Welcomed the French
To the shores of ‘Kanata’
At Stadacona;
With ceremonial greeting,
Exchanging gifts and ideas.

But only the riches of the land
Are considered worthy:
Natural habitat retreats,
And the environment suffers.
First Nations people would fare no better,
Against these foreign invaders.
                  ***

Notes:
‘Kanata’ is the Saint Lawrence-Iroquois word for village; referring to Stadacona (present day Quebec City, Quebec), and was interpreted as ‘Canada’ by the French explorer Jacques Cartier (1491–1557), in 1535. The St. Lawrence Iroquoians existed from the 14th century to about 1580. They soon disappeared after the arrival of the Europeans, and it is suspected that diseases transmitted by the Europeans to them (for which they had no immunity) were a major reason for their demise.
