Best Choke Poems
Written for my heart, my son, Kyle
Wash me gentle in the river –
Ease me on down with care.
I’m an emotional giver –
It’s my song in the air.
Dry me smooth upon shore’s sliver -
Warm away my despair.
Constant tears are in my eyes,
but I’ll deny that I cry.
God loves me inside and out,
He knows what I’m all about,
but I can’t settle the shout
that sticks down inside my throat
and threatens to choke me dry.
Emotions lacking corners
have only circle borders
and trap me in feelings bleak.
Searching answers to know order
leaves me sadly limp and weak.
First I prayed, but now I rage:
oh, dear God, please turn this page.
World, you allowed darkness,
with its brutal hurtful hiss,
to maim the child life of his.
Harsh cruelness such as this
brought me to my knees
with a Mother’s enraged pleas.
Wash me gentle in the river –
Ease me on down with care.
I’m an emotional giver –
It’s my song in the air.
Dry me smooth upon shore’s sliver -
Warm away my despair.
Your fingers begin their release
pinkie, palm, to thumb.
The sensation lingers on my skin.
My knees week, body numb.
The indentation around my neck,
it is starting to bruise.
A shade of yellow appears.
Slowly, a green, purple, and blue.
I fall to my knees
kicked while I try to stand.
I slowly raise up my head
it’s met with the back of your hand.
Viciously from your mouth
the venomous words spew.
I can smell on your breath
the remains of your afternoon chew.
This is how painful it is,
to be in love with you.
choke my womb
with your
toddlerd
thoughts
catch my breath
as you watch
my words
rot
run
like
coward
yellowd belly fled
glimpses
of
word in head
freelance riddler'ing
middle-class pauper-erity
heathens featherd features
eons beyond fleas on the dog
love me again beyond all wrong
slaughter another hotter hatter
make me mad'der than a mat
lay me under flying on rug
give me vital fetal hugs
touching my breaths
colord me lessons
eloping my hues
while you
choke
my
womb

Can you forget that piece of cheese
that you inhaled? Oh, just a crumb it was.
But breathing while chewing, then choking!
Was it Cheddar, Cheshire?
Or that Limburger, Parmesan?
But, oh, that piece of cheese!
Not a morsel you'll forget,
or a temporary amnesia that will bring you peace.
A double Gloucester, some feta or mozzarella?
What about that Parmigiana-Reggiano?
Better, far better, not to inhale
a piece of cheese. It's peace you need.

The rage that screams against the sky
A battle ground of angry hate
Death's anger looms; threat reaches high
The rage that screams against the sky
A voice it struggles to deny
The venom 'fore it spews too late
The rage that screams against the sky
A battle ground of angry hate.
What made bit** think she could deceive
A fam'ly grown so sick of hurt
I'm one she thought that would believe
What made bit** think she could deceive?
Fed up with lies, we're so naive
Her many victims her desserts
What made bit** think she could deceive
A fam'ly grown so sick of hurt.
I want to choke her scrawny neck
And make cruel vengeance mine to give
To make her bleed, knife's wounds inflict
I want to choke her scrawny neck
And twist until I'm held in check
But not 'fore I know she'll ne'er live
I want to choke her scrawny neck
And make cruel vengeance mine to give.
I lay my head on Satan's bed
The price was worth my deadly fate
She's cold and lives with devil's dead
I lay my head on Satan's bed
No tear I shed, no more to dread
It's over now, there's no more wait
I lay my head on Satan's bed
The price was worth my deadly fate.
Destroyer ~ Poet’s contest Name any poem with a strong title" (your poem title has to catch my eye) your most favorite outstanding title...
Just about to launch a new career
Or maybe I should call it a hobby
Dani Spies has certainly caught my attention
With her mouth watering recipes
And easy step-by-step videos to help us along
I'm drooling all over the keyboard as I type
I'm always game to try something new
And of course the payoff at the end is the ultimate reward
Now I hear some of you saying...
"Are you nutso!!! Aren't you kinda old
To be firing off in a new direction?"
My answer to that is this, "I ain't dead am I?
I'm always ready for a new challenge!"
And man, what a rewarding hobby... yum, yum!!!
I'll keep you posted as to how much weight I gain
(ie. one of the annoying side effects!)
Wish me luck all you nice people!
Next thing you know, I'll have my own show on PBS
Entitled "Old Chefs Never Die
They Just Choke On Their Artichokes"
© Jack Ellison 2014
She awakes each day to it.
She ate it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
She bathed in it.
She let it wrap it's postulating arms around her.
She made love to it.
She lovingly cursed it, and then realized it's tangible effects on her.
She'll forever remember the start of it.
It was at the beginning of her bastardly life, but then it disappeared for a short period of time when she was under the nurturing care of her grandmother.
It reappeared with her mother and was a constant companion down the languishing road of poverty, devastation, rape, and abuse.
It came with benefits; a craving for perfection, control, and paranoia.
There was those who tried to take it from her, offering her love and encouragement, but she love only it.
Even a fleeting moment without it, she felt broken .
There was those who tried to name it and handle it, but she knew their falseness and clung tighter to it.
She knew that it dined on her conscious and subconscious, yet she revel with the delight of it.
She was lost inside, it was a hearty choke, but she just didn't care.

I
On this terrestrial ball
Water is it, almost all
But for prayer
II
When love blooms, we can fast
Avoid breakfast, any repast
But "whence such love"?
III
Prayer will consume private sins
Or Sins "will choke prayer,"
Wrote J.C. Ryle before dying (1900)
IV
When all is dark and I'm hopeless
Yet i pray (Thy will be done, O Universe)
Because prayer is my water, living water.
I woke up choked up
could not breathe
felt like I have to heave
throwing up everyday
like its a pet peeve
angst choking in my sleep
from the food I eat
stress causing sleep lock
gives me the creeps
the sheep flock
like a new drug
on the streets
birds of the same feather
flock together
forced to face everyday
hoping for better
be a leader not a follower
write your own story
live your own life
forget bad thoughts like Dory
swim with the fin you do have
and strive for glory
never give up let go of worry
life will get better slowly
not in a hurry.
Breathing without lungs
In your center a cold heart
Living without blood
By Robb A. Kopp
Sitting alone in the locker room
My eyes still filled with tears
As I choked in the championship
In my high school senior year
Winning the wrestling match
By a score of 8 to 2
Already thinking of the first place plaque
And with it what I would do
Only 15 seconds left to go
I’m already wearing the victory smile
The next thing that I am to know
I’m on my back counting ceiling tiles
Five victories in the book
And this match I am poised to win
Only 10 seconds left to go
If I can avoid having gotten pinned
With 2 seconds on the clock
The referee slaps the wrestling mat
Indicating that my opponent has
Held me for the count of 3 laying on my back
A life lesson was learned that day
You must stay focused until the very end
Or you’re apt to blow the championship
Like I did that day, my friend
Coughing up all of this blood
unable to utter a cry for help
laying here dying
is this going to be the end?
Have you ever loved me
did you ever mean that sweet-talk
every god damned kiss
those infernal love songs...
Or was it all a lie
a little story to get
exactly what you wanted
a subliminal message in every thought
Killing me with these ideas
was it true or false
were the words ever meant
did i fall for your lies?
Each question suffocating me
i cant breathe, some one help
can anyone hear my pleas
i'm bleeding out my last words.
"I love you."
You dont see it coming
no one ever does
but its only a swallow away
so count them silently
and hold them dear
because the next one comin
you should fear
you will know when it comes
and know so clear
that this one coming
is your last
because heartbreak grabs you
hard around your throat
and there is no way to escape
so you just choke
and you can wish for death
and it's not coming
and that my friend is

CHOKE POINT
Our roads are at choke point
as traffic descends into gridlock chaos.
Cars, lorries, buses and vans
all bumper to bumper in a traffic
jam ten miles long. This is a vision
of the technological world
in which we live where both man
and machine grind to a halt.
