Callous

“Corrosion of feelings”, the accusation said. A seal, a signature. I was a bit confused, though, when the judge, a heavyset gentleman with a kind red face, rose from his seat and cuddled me.
- What's your last wish, son? - he asked me sweetly.
No wishes.
- Come on, - he insisted. - Ask the audience, fifty-fifty or call a friend?
The subconscious thirst for feeling things the way normal humans do tries to turn even nothingness into something resembling human, to give weight to weightlessness, to attach sense to nonsense, so it was not surprising that they caught me by surprise when I saw the prosecutor's face contort: he was crying. I can imagine how the executioner will be upset to align me a little – a local euphemism. Poor butcher!

you are so callous -
he'll tell me slightly later
feeling my thin neck

Premium Member A Callous Heart

Half-truths morphed into deceit,
drowning out love's sweet refrain.
And your hopes sound the retreat;
devastated once again.

Your shattered heart lies broken;
for passion's flame flickered out.
And hurtful words got spoken;
when truths were bandied about.

A naive victim of lust;
your fantasies fell apart.
For under the cloak of trust,
time revealed a callous heart.

Imprisoned without a key;
your feelings got tightly bound.
And until you set them free;
the soul you seek won't be found.

What?
Why?
You're sure?
Does it hurt?
Is it worth suffers
internally screeching out among
external placed loved ones just doin' what they must do?
Or could it be that it's time to rethink internalities? Externalities, too.

The Callous Hand of Friendship

Take my hand, understand, that I have infringed my brain in depth
To try to help you affix the scattered pieces you penned
Your tongue rattles like autumn leaves in a wind storm
Causing my peace to be buried in a coffin with one worm
I am past the point of anger where darkness did reside
Would you like to play now? Please don't hide..
On a path nearby you will find him
Silent- as he has removed from his butt the embedded burr which infringed
As he walks the nightingale calls again
For it is not my wish but just revenge
When I say softly "yes, I'm your friend"

Callous Words

My mind pours over your callous words
Cutting into my heart like champion swords
Why oh why do you need to act the *****
Up on your high pedestal like a wicked old witch?

Was it something I'd said, or something I'd done?
Oh no, you'll do this to everyone
To those you see as a threat to your position
This is second nature to you, your intuition

The misery is spread, the deed is done
For you, there's nothing left to be undone
You'll pretend that all is well, when you're living in hell
I hope someone will fell that nasty brittle shell

Here comes the silent treatment, the exclusionary tactics
I hope someone turns the tables on you when you're a geriatric
When there's no one left for you to dish out your dirt
By your lonesome self you can reflect on a life of hurt

Callous Call

Why me?
The news will tell.
While shopping at the mall,
An innocent bag untended -
Why waste a call or raise a false alarm
For that which might or might not be?
Left in unholy haste.
Preterition.
Not me!

The Greatest Shame

Had I never known the heat of sensual fire
From a woman consumed with sexual need
Whose object of desire in the darkest hours
For pleasure and gratification - was me
I would never quite realize how empty and cold
Are your reasons for a passionless life
That kindness, compassion and trust - alone
Are insufficient qualities for a wife
Fear of having to reciprocate
Unwanted proclivities in exchange
Could never extinguish the primal lust
Of a woman’s pheromones enraged
There were wanton impatient lovers
Who’ve met me at the door
Overwhelmed with awaiting my presence
Made love to me right there on the floor
Their motives were often deep inner need
But just as often the simple desire to please
A woman’s innate need for lovin’
Could never be stifled or contained
Nature’s demand for intimate mating
Would overrule any reason to abstain
But you leave me caressing my pillow
Clueless and careless that sex has refrained
Days on end with no kissin’ or huggin’
Endless months without releasing the strain
Only a damaged psyche
In deep emotional pain
Or inherited cold-blood
Coursing through chilly veins…
Could explain.
Claims of excessive carnal demands
While seldom if never met
Are the excuse for withholding affection
But don’t explain the willful neglect
To give and share lovin’
Til the end of our days
With the spouse you had beget
Whatever sexuality issues
Is not alone your lover’s blame
You mislead yourself most of all
To believe our deceased romance
Attaches no fault to your name
Once-in-a-life-love sacrificed
After all, the greatest shame.

I

Until that dreadful, heart-thumping moment
  I had been completely unaware
     That a beautiful perfection
Such as yours could so singularly exist...
Being in ever greater amounts of
     Unparalleled loveliness!
And how, someday, I should learn something
  Of wishful atonement;
    Recalling again the quickly-flung stare
      Suggestive of a bewildering affection:-
Your rude, opened mouth forcefully kissed,
The horrid pause, then...the slow unhitching
    Of your chiffon dress.

Amerikkka
Amerikkka
why so passive aggressive
Let's play the 50
Allow me to break the ice
Now check it

I think I found my calling
My great ancestors calling
The war horse is out of the stable
Serving vengeance in that kitchen
with a rusty soup ladle
Racism been on the table
But it's never discussed
It's time to snatch the life
right outta the elite wit no suction cup
Why bluff
when you against all odds
I'm aiming for the bullseye
But this ain't darts
If you ain't apart of the solution
You a part of the problem
Why everybody telling me to calm
down like I give a damn
That the government's watching
Going hard for my people
Like I'm on cialis
I know I made the watch list
For being callous

Callous Eyes

Callous

Every tiny things matter in a young world,
and then with callous eyes, he is used to pick
days and nights as they pass him, as they pass beyond.

Sometimes he panics, fears that she’ll go away
and he won’t feel any ache, just be watching her
moving away, erasing; looking at the place
where she has been seen last; with covert anger.

A tiny butterfly flies, in and out, in and…
the patch of rain raises smells, smells of musty dusk.
The callous eyes follow the hands clutching heart
where past is blending in pains and agonies.

No trespassing! You with the straw hat you need to go
You’ve a startled face that laughs as you scratch your belly
Recycle man and your thirty-nine-gallon bag in tow

There’s nothing to salvage here, only rubbish I throw
It’s my property which you invade, you’re in my alley
No trespassing! You with the straw hat you need to go

You're an eyesore to behold, I told you long ago
But words mean nothing, man of rubbish so smelly
Recycle man and your thirty-nine-gallon bag in tow

My hands shake, I pray that you don’t come by tomorrow
I’ve seen you eat out of the can, this isn’t a deli
No trespassing! You with the straw hat you need to go

A penny a dime a quarter, it's chump change you borrow
What can these empties buy what is your tally?
Recycle man and your thirty-nine-gallon bag in tow

Haunting dreams in which you appear, it irks me so
I’ll set a trap for you, a poisoned biscuit and jelly
No trespassing! You with the straw hat you need to go
Recycle man and your thirty-nine-gallon bag in tow

Callous Me

CALLOUS ME

The very Word that giveth light
And understanding
Leaves me tonight
And sends a grievous judgment.

Oh! That I had heed Your Word
And worshipped You as God and Lord
But lo! My ways led me astray
And I have been lost from then till date

How much I despised You
And travelled as far as North to South
And grateful for Your eternal love
I plead that we be one as before.

For herein lies my hope
That when I call, You answer me
And I rejoice in this truth
That You can restore a callous me.

Callous Ruler

Callous ruler is he who beholds my wretchedness with a bliss
He swivels smoothly seeing me shrivel in scorch
See him laugh but boot not, his chair mounted on arris
I stretch my arm for his lift but he leaves me in the lurch
Knows he my minor call to him's a piece of piss
But isn't he carefree? Can't solve! Can't touch!
He lies in clover-splurge on comfort daily without a miss
His thought's to his life and paunch
But to my bawl for care he'll dis'
And libel me as the worst grouch
O tell me to whom this throne is.
Will I live to plead, or snatch?
Or accept your jobbery in a daily basis?
Tell me when in your rule will we match?
