Premium Member Burger Boy

Burger boy hangs out
at the A&W
Spare change for burgers
he sometimes has two

He chats up the girls
imagines he is cool
Making up tall tales
but girls ain't easy to fool

He asks the cute waitress
if she's from the Philippines
Tells her he was there yesterday
eating noodles and beans!

She asks where he traveled
he says he was everywhere
But the more he talks
she knows he wasn't there

She doesn't make him feel bad
she just gives a sweet smile
It's enough to make him happy
his grin widens a mile

Like so many others
he hates being all alone
So he sits dreams and fidgets
while he charges his phone

The place is kinda quiet
except cars driving through
If he had his own car
it would be a dream come true

What others take for granted
seems far beyond his reach
He's never had a holiday
or walked a sandy beach

So he finds something
that to others ain't much
A burger and a smile
He hopes fingers might touch

Premium Member Burger Love

her quarter-pounder eyes
edged with charcoal
coaxed me inside.
her round succulent body
i savoured hungrily
as from table to table she rolled.
a small gherkin green nose
sat on lips of tomato sauce
surrounded by a cheesy smile.
as my fingers touched
i knew it was
burger love.

Kadidlehopper's Burger Whoppers

Clem Kadidlehopper had two whoppers,
Two burgers with the works may be stoppers,
Double meat, egg, beetroot, tomato and cheese,
For a burger connoisseur this could only please,
No problem for Clem and his great big choppers.

alternate last line: Clem woofed them down with his great big choppers.

Premium Member A Burger and a Fry

What was better than pumpkin
pie stuffed in my eye? Nothing
more than a burger and a fry..
That's why I wonder why?
If pancakes are great at
breakfest time? A sandwich
is great at lunchtime?
A spaghetti a great meal at
dinner time? But what was
better than just old fashion
ham on rye? Nothing more
than a burger and a fry..

Of Monster, Fish Burger, Casper and I

As I sit and stare at the computer,
An image appeared makes me shudder,
An ugly humongous red-eyed monster,
Looking at me I wonder what it mutters.

As I sit and stare at the computer,
I grow hungrier and hungrier,
There is one enormous fish burger,
Looking at me with come hither.

As I sit and stare even longer,
Gosh! This time I see an image even bigger,
Of a Casper but absolutely fatter,
With all smile and cute laughter.

Oh! As I sit still and stare with disbelief,
Then something strikes me and I feel relief,
They are nothing more I must admit,
Of who else but none other the reflections of me.

You promised me a burger and a cup of tea
But you broke you solemn promise to me
No burger van as far as the eye can see
My aching tum was in dire need you see

Oh woe, oh woe, oh woe is me
You promised me a burger for my tea
Succulent meat, caramelised onions and fries
Why oh why did I fall for those lies

My mouth was watering at the very idea …
No burger van, I cried many a bitter tear
It’s grounds for divorce for you promised me
A succulent burger and a cup of tea

1st June 2015

Background info – last week we went to a 2 day blues festival - my hubby had the most wonderful burger from a van. We were going back the next day – I said I would make a picnic so we could sit in the sun outside and listen to the music on the stage in the gardens – he said don't bother with the picnic we will have a burger and a cup of tea…. The van didn’t show up

Wanna Slam Burger 1

You likey burgers,
yes in deedy, you eat
t h e m all day, because
they are pleasing. U eat them
in t h e mornings, u eat them at lunch,
u even eat them between meals like at
brunch and trunch. Burgers are ur
pals. They always help you out,
You’d never keep that belly
 if you ever went without

A Shocking Sight At Burger King

A Shocking Sight at Burger King

By Elton Camp

What I saw at Burger King the other day
It is sort of hard to find the words to say

It wasn’t a sandwich all filled with fat
Or too much salt--nothing at all like that

Nor was it a shake entirely devoid of milk
No, no it was not a single thing of that ilk

I didn’t see a roach scurrying on the floor
So that I didn’t want to eat there anymore

Nor was the health rating some dismal score
The place was nice and clean just as before

The customer getting food astonished me
One with a clown suit & hair red as can be

“Ronald McDonald, is it you,” I said
He gave a big grin and nodded his head

Nothing Burger

Wimpy says it’s just a nothing burger
There’s nothing to see,
	    no need to investigate further
For over a year,
he’s said there wasn’t no meetings
with the Ruskies
... not that he can recall
Said the media was just making up fake stuff
Only a nothing burger being served up
But now his memory is getting better it seems,
after some damning computer emails started leaking
He says he just forgot about those meetings, that’s all ...
there’s no need for a Ruskie translator to help him recall
Still just a nothing burger, Wimpy say,
because nobody cares about such trivial matters anyway
Possibly compromising national security
	ain’t no big deal
Smoozing with the enemy is how business
	turns the wheel
Besides, with so much hustle and bustle going on
in a presidential election campaign,
he can’t remember how many Ruskies he’s entertained
It’s just another nothing burger,
never mind what the evidentiary emails claim
And just to show you how upfront and honest Wimpy be,
he’s now coming clean, showing you everything
		Full transparency
Only took a year, that’s all,
		                to start rightly remembering
But what you now see, still ain’t proof of anything anyway
It’s just a big Whooper nothing burger, okay
If that’s all you got, Wimpy say,
if that’s all you see
Then it’s just a nothing burger being served
on a news plate of empty
Oops! I almost forgot ...
Here’s another batch of Ruskie meeting fries,
to go along with that big, juicy nothing burger
Don’t you just love the taste of hot, crispy lies —
Wimpy says with a wink: ain’t no need to investigate further

Premium Member Vegan Burger

I hold you.
And bite you.
You drip down my chin..
I really just didn't know
Where to begin

My teeth as they sink
Through the layers of joy
Encouraged by lentil
Enraptured by soy

There are moments and layers
In life we should cherish;
None ever so blissful
As encountering relish

Or the pickly thing
Or the goo that's so cheesy
Yet it's not, we're OK
My conscience still frees me

For a burger is life.
With it's multiple facets
And the creatures we love..
Well, they're more than just assets

So dive in and be free
To celebrate goodness
Free from harm or distress
Something wholesome and bloodless

Your body will thank you
The planet will send
A sigh of relief
To some four legged friend

We can all live together
Without fear or distressing
For a burger is life.
It's the truth. And no messing.
