Best Blue Eyes Poems
Standing by her hospital bed, I didn’t feel the pain
Instead, I felt sorrow that she looked so very frail
Like a rose that’s been sitting in a vase far too long
Slowly losing petals that leave it looking like death
And I knew that it was her time to leave this place
Her strength had always been apparent to her family
She didn’t ever stop except to take a slow drag from
Her Winston, something many believed would kill her
Yet, she didn’t die from smoking, but from living longer
Than she might have expected to live when she was young
As I stared down at her closed eyes and remembered
Dread seeped through my veins, making me tremble inside
Leaving me with a melancholy that would lead me toward
Depression, then despair, and back into fear and tears
That rain down on my soul like a shower pours over the earth
I was drowning in my own words which would not come
Words of compassion and warmth, wailing out a echo of hope
That she might live through this mysterious illness that left her
Feeling like she couldn’t even open those bright expressive eyes
Which had always shown with compassion and insight and wisdom
When I left her there that night with a light kiss on the cheek
I didn’t know it would be the last time I would see her here
On this dismal ground where she had left me to live my life
Despite her death and the grim reminders of her beautiful spirit
Which color me in hues of blue, like her eyes, fiery blue

Let me hold you one more time before you go
Next time we meet , is a time that we don't know
Let me hold you once again , before you spread your wings to fly
Only God knows what will happen to me after this goodbye
Allow me to see your shiny blue eyes once again
Oh there's a lot of upcoming torture to me , oh there's a major pain
Can I touch you for the last time before they lay you in the ground ?
May I hear your beloving voice , may you crash the emptiness sound ?
Time was too cruel to give me what I ask , it took you in a flash
It buried you under the ground and burned me down to ash
It's a very hard task to live in a world wher I breathe up and you breathe down
Where I get to live among all these voices but yet can't reach you're sound
In the memory of my dear beloving grandpa , gone but never forgotten .
May your soul rest in peace (6/5/2018 sunday , 3:10 PM )

Lyric
Blue eyes that stand before me,
Seeing all that has come to be.
Never did those blue eyes turn away,
Even in the troubles that may.
They did not turn in any way,
More beautiful than the sunny days of may,
If there was any doubt in them, i could not say.
Always love they did send,
I couldnt have asked for a better friend
But i didnt know you loved me until the end.

Where does this come from....
Were we educated at some time
And forgotten...
No.. we weren't....
We were royalty of a kind....
Welsh and proud...
Roman blood we had in us...
From time long past...
Pagan...Yes we were
And proud of the past
But we lost our future
to churches Lust.
But I have to say
to this very day....
That my mothers song
Fills my every day...
To be happy...and smile and sing
Is my legacy...from times
When we danced at the
Full moon...
Never to think of the past
But feel what is before us....
And sing....As there is
Nothing more important
Than the sunrise....
In a meadow...
On a hill.....

This is about family.......
Your Blue eyes are the product of centuries.....
Prussians banner of royalty
Are blue....
Since time began....
It was the Vikings and warriors....
Who left their sign behind......
Your family had a mother
Who tamed a warrior...
In days beyond history so long ago
With her smile and love...
She tamed him......
He gave her his protection...
She gave him a daughter
Her blue eyes....
He so loved her...His daughter.....
But more than that
She gave her her smile
No matter how much
The sorrow to come...
Deep within this child
Held a truth....long held
By Chieftains and Pagans....
That love.....and tenderness
Is a gift passed on....forever.
From your mother
To her mother...from her
Son....to his mother...
And to you.....
Centuries don't measure time.....
And why should you....
Your Blue eyes and smile
And sweet heart.....
Come from a time
When nothing else mattered
With out love....life
Did not matter....
Now it is today...
and Rhiannon is our joy.....
Her blue eyes...

Seeing Deep Pain, In Watering Blue Eyes
I was not brave, I did not dare to ask
why she cried, hid behind her weeping mask
Seeing deep pain, in watering blue eyes
matching rainfall from dark, cloudy skies
I had not courage, to find out her plight
nor wisdom -to see evil in plain sight
Her shattered heart, crushed by a cruel fiend
she now lost, nobody dare intervene
If we had met before deep heartbreak struck
I would now hold her and thank my good luck
There she sat, crying outside that June dance
to broken to give her NEW LOVE a chance
Then she saw me and gave a tiny smile
Courage came, I crossed that last fearful mile

Sonnet
The rain falling, making windows cry
i draw a heart in the fog, with one finger,
warm against the glass
i color it in, and peek through the hole,
i have made to the outside world
i close my eyes, soft lashes brushing my skin
--and the rain, is sliding down my cheek
-it dies on my lips
a burst of colorful memory explodes
leaving my mind a thousand shattered pieces
glimmering ice with jagged edge
shinning swords pierce my heart again
damp lips remincising -- the taste of salt
from another source of warm life
my eyes open -- deep pools of pain
filled to the edge, with dieing rain
once filled with light, this picture is bleak
deaths lullaby to sorrowful sleep -- less nights
heartless, lovefull plights
once happy -- sad missing memories
a nightmare could be born from the many
twisted -- throwing faith into a panic
dont panic -- though i suffer weakness from it
--raiin falling from the sky
it just so happens, that this sky
is my sad blue eyes

Romance, Passion Shown In Those Bright Blue Eyes
Her bright blue eyes that my soul so endears
warms needy heart, sends it passionate cheers
as if a golden moon's yellow beams sent
to invade dark with flaming bright torrents!
Her tantalizing lips, this heart deep stirs
for love represents all sweet life as hers
and in that romantic fantasy lies
a truth, a reality none can deny!
Her walk, was as a graceful sexy dance
as rolling waves of love's truest romance
eternity sent in soft, gentle touch
endless centuries would not be too much!
Her solemn vow, that our love never dies
Was shown with kiss and those loving blue eyes!

Sonnet, ( Those Deep Blue Eyes, That Set This Heart Aflame )
Note:
Such deep, shimmering pools that so allure
reveal depths of Love so sweet and so pure
as in glistening white of fallen snow
Heaven, where Love's truth flourishes and grows.
Hold onto tanti thesauri conscium sibi tamquam donum desuper
dulce largitatem ponens anima paradisum
fugere.....

I Sang With You -Yet- You Then Did Not Sing
I wept with you -yet- you then did not weep
I slept with you -yet- you then did not sleep
I drempt with you -yet- you then did not dream
I wrote with you -yet- you then did not write
I fell with you -yet- you then did not fall
I ran with you -yet- you then did not run
I walked with you -yet- you then did not walk
I talked with you -yet- you then did not talk.
I ate with you -yet- you then did not eat
I laughed with you -yet- you then did not laugh
I joked with you -yet- you then did not joke
I woke with you -yet- you then did not wake.
I cried with you -yet- you then did not cry.
I died with you -yet- you then did not die.

There is no excuse. Nothing to blame
So I hide my tired eyes and exist in shame
I'm ashamed to live, I'm afraid to die
I find, I'm unworthy to look in the eye
So I hang my head low
And pretend I don't see
I pretend not to know
You recognize me
I come across rude, it seems I don't care
I run and take cover, the truth is, I'm scared
I feel forced to unclothe
Sacrificing my dignity
Short comings exposed
I resist, beg and plead
So when you determine what you think of another
Remember their journey has been like none other
Though your pride will tell you lies
There's always a story behind blue eyes

Sudden Shower
by Michael R. Burch
The day’s eyes were blue
until you appeared
and they wept at your beauty.
This is a poem you’re welcome to share, if you like it, as long as you credit me as the author. It could be a nice “rainy day” poem, pardon the pun, for that special someone. “Why is it raining? Because the heavens saw your beauty and wept for joy!” The poem is similar in form to a haiku but that was accidental; it came to me in my sleep or as I was just waking up.

Wild flowers
Swaying in the wind
Petals dancing
It's the season to spring
Feeling Sunshine
Every moment in gold
By fields and road sides
Baby blue eyes aglow
African daisies
They love the damp of rain
Make beds of beauty
When gathered on parade
In mind’s garden
Barren strawberries bloom
All along the winding paths
On Spring break afternoons...

Verse
I have stood atop of great mountains high
where I felt to close to heaven and cloud
and measured His stars while wondering why
no earth bound splendor was burnished as proud.
I've witnessed in time sunbeams dance, and set.
My eyes graced on all color light might build.
Tasted breath of ocean's misty islet.
I've been forgiven and with love been filled.
I have wondered in fields of fresh flowers
their perfumes begging my humbling sighs.
I've never found in moments are hours
a beauty to match your sparkling blue eyes.

her eyes
.
her eyes stole me away
the look
distant
engaging
darting
but always blue
.
sometimes
i wondered what they had seen
how such beauty could
see pain
suffering
shed tears
.
i looked
she looked
we saw the future
two glances dancing
a collision course across a table for two
while our eyes
made us one

Think I heard it for the first time today.
That laugh.
Like hot chocolate on a winter day.
It felt like something that melts your heart.
A buoyant feeling,
Which makes a dying heart restart.
Are they aquamarine or ocean eyes?
Spending a second too long,
Fills your body with butterflies.
A bittersweet feeling, a poisonous state,
Like dropping from a high,
It’s a bit too difficult to wait.
Living in my head 24/7 rent free,
Hope you’re not annoyed,
Just wondering, do you ever notice me?

Let me come too close to you now
so close that I can hear every breath
to be lost in the depth of those eyes.
Let me kiss your emerald eyes
that sea in which my boat is lost now,
before sinking,whisper of your breath.
Just for once mingle with my breath,
just for once in your emerald eyes
with its love, this heart wants to sink now.
Now my breath grasping in your blue eyes!
