Quote: A man can fail many times, but he isn’t a failure until he begins to blame somebody else.
John Burroughs
________________________________________

Inspired by life’s goals, winners are intuitively aware,
A loss is but a steppingstone, not a reason to despair;
Again and again, with certitude they play the game,
For triumph, they envision, is written in every name.

They never seek to blame others, for own mistakes,
Instead, they course-correct, averting heart-breaks,
Re-learning, deep in introspection, as they re-assess;
Ameliorating ways of failures, reaching for success.

When life is perturbed in adversities, they fear not,
Cognizant~ anything worthwhile must be hard-fought;
Summoning conquering ways, every failure taught,
To attain ultimate milestone, reveries of victory sought.

They accept, they advance, when things go wrong,
Strumming theme winsome, emanating from life’s song,
Echoing a pledge revered, treasured for quite long;
Avowing~ to them, the reigns of future shall belong.

Dreams of passion, dreams coveted, refuse to die,
For resolutely their objectives, driven believers vie;
Until triumphantly, bells-elated, of success chime,
Trumping sad sighs of failures, defeated over time.

Rain - Liquid Angel

Rain - her story is in her forms
past, present or future, same are norms

Rain – she has a complaint
dislikes being quoted as she (Rain) is FALLING
but had she not fallen
seeds would not have risen
land would have been brazen
Life would have become extinct
such is her importance, so distinct

Rain – she has a compliment
she is loved by all – kids, young, old alike
kids joyous over floating of paper boats
young ecstatic in love over drizzle drumming pane
old ambling in memory lane over hot coffee
raindrops filling Life's ocean with cheerful moments
joy waves kissing Life's shores with each movement

Rain – she is Liquid Devil
water, in excess gushing monstrously
tsunami causing devastation
consuming life all of sudden
destroying flora & fauna
receding water spreading epidemics
drenched havoc failing normalcy academics

Rain – she is Liquid Angel
water, life to all – human, animal, trees
in womb protecting embryo
in tomb blending concrete mix
generating electricity, axis of all motion
offering hope to desert through oasis
frozen at Poles averting earth's nemesis

Rain - her story is in her forms
past, present or future, same are norms

Thus, avoiding the dreaded chopping block!

      Hunkering down spared his life,

He now recovers from traumatic shock!

 You, my beloved;
Stars inspire to sway and move in the day
Those hours which happiest till our feeble age

  Glimmer of pearls trickle and drip on silk;
A rhythmic rouse through billows of cream milk

  Pendulous amber stipule path, weaving
Warm champagne beams, on ruffle berth leaving

Darkness of an abandon mid-night moon,
Gloom bands standing fields and wood-fill life swoon

     You, my beloved;
Stars inspire to sway and move in the day
Those hours which happies till our feeble age

  Fragrant firmament then forgotten ours;
Liquescent hands reaching for the fixed stars

Curled up to the world's eld averting gaze,
To pluck the ripened unearth passion blaze

A glitter of amorous scene of warmth
Nor fading heaven, wake no bounds fruit worth

Bathroom Hijinks

Poised to dive into the drink below
the deodorant on the shelf above put on a show
while the toothbrushes looked on with a big grin
the deodorant dove like a champ and took a swim,

The toothbrushes held up all their signs
most of them giving his dive a nine
not satisfied he had wanted a perfect 10
he stood above the toilet ready to jump again,

But before he could jump he quickly froze
hearing the man of the house shuffle in and impose
turning the light on he quickly went pee
the toothbrushes averting their eyes quickly,

Finishing up he flushed and put the lid down
leaving the bathroom the deodorant had a frown
the toothbrushes said don't worry we'll fill up the sink
so the deodorant moved above it ready to jump into the drink,

All eyes were fastened on him poised above
knowing that swimming was one of the deodorants first loves
the deodorant concentrated and then leapt off
giving him a perfect ten for a triple somersault!

After awhile they all got tired and went to sleep
taking their positions on the shelf above the toilet and sink
the man of the house soon catching on to their hijinks
putting a "closed for the season" sign on the toilet and sink,

But that didn't stop their bathroom shenanigans
they just came up with a different plan
this time they were extra quiet as they filled up the tub
but the man of the house caught on and pulled the plug

So swimming was now a gone past time
so they constructed with dental floss a zip line
zip lining from the top of the shower to the floor
that is till they heard the creak of the bathroom door...

With the death of my parents something changed inside,
Its a secret very deep that I’ve tried so hard to hide,
I keep busy working but admit I often have denied,
There’s not a day go by that I don’t think of suicide.
Then I look at my children and become filled with pride,
To see my son graduate, my daughter become a bride,
Would be part of life so important, it could not be denied.
And spending these milestones without me to preside,
Would make my family feel like a big part of them died.
So I keep the sleeping pills hidden and the act untried,
Averting the sad thoughts, putting a smile on the outside.
Breathe easy, this secret is not a true story, that’s the upside.

Sexual Tension

I shift my eyes slowly from the ground,
up the wall and over to another pair of eyes
that in a moment lock onto mine.
His penetrating stare
makes my heart thump with force,
the heat from his gaze
brings beads of sweat to my skin.
Lingering in his hypnosis
I have the urge to know him,
to look deeper into the mystery
of those seductive eyes and
bask in the warmth behind them.

As suddenly as it begins, it ends--
he snaps me back to reality
by quickly averting his eyes from mine,
but only after flashing a flirtatious grin
and inviting my mind to wander
down dangerous roads....

I Had a Friend

Once upon a time ago
I had friend you see
Jet black hair and soft brown eyes.
And never did he leave.

We'd take long walks
We'd tell bad jokes
He'd hold me when I cried
And give me bad advice.

It's been so long
Since I've seen that face
But the friendly smirk
Is now a guarded look.

In silence there we sit
Far away averting our gaze
We're in a very sinful place
To write our failures again.

But guilt and sorrow
And shameful pain
Have me biting back some tears
Because it is my fault.

You see I had a friend
I broke his heart
And turned my eyes away,
Then he watched me take my leave.

			Naked death

…the barred and sealed cattle wagons
							disgorge
at the Konzentrazionslager
						            the faux pas relief
from urine mud faeces sweat and tears
unkempt armpits buttocks best wear
   turned to damp rags
                             reduced to moaning cattle
nameless
even the heifer wan straggly limp

          Alles! Raus!

…the last quick dab of face powder
	the lipstick dried blood tan
the felt hat lying soggy stained
		through bellowed haste
   on the mudcaked barrack floor
the wampumpeag plucked by the helmeted claw
stabbing on sole-cold cutting cement platform
averting glances on sapped sagging busts
	shoulders hunched buckled in
     fingers reaching to scratch loins
		nostrils quivering
	whose the naughty stench

then the trooped Indian file
		stray belongings dumped
in a wasteproduct pile
    the once highheeled gait
  slumping to a side
from the hips down to a jaggedknee limp
   prodding the miasmal mist
       the exposed varicose veins
   the knotty pubis
                                the mons veneris
the intimate warts and moles
   last year’s Ceasarian stitches
        the rump twitched less

the lack lustre sentry gazes
the unmasked leer
the disdainful pursed lips

			neither shame nor pudeur

and then the last gangway to nowhere
         the Ave-Maria road to Himmelweg

			a reprieve

Premium Member Greek Mythologys Medusa

A Greek mythological classical character chosen,
Medusa with her snake hair and stone stare, a frozen
Look turning people to stone, originally a vision of beauty,
A woman of erotic desire, who inflicted unimaginable cruelty,
Her destiny to become an unapproachable monster,
Many attempted to kill her, heroes and many a mobster,
Her punishment, all because Poseidon willfully raped her
Bringing about woe upon all women whoever they were.
The Greek God Perseus renowned for killing
Such beasts, ordered by King Polydectus whether willing
Or not, to go and bring back her head,
Perseus had a plan how to slay Medusa, delivering it dead.
This was a hero, but still sweat collected on his brow, DRIP
Drip, drip, but bravely approached her abode, a swift SNIP
Went his sharp sword which did ,SMASH
Down with might, and Medusa’s blood did SPLASH
It was rumored that from the severed head came a BELCH
As her blood in Perseus’s hands went SQUELCH.
This warrior’s deed was certainly brash, swiftly did snatch
Medusa’s head, Perseus the hero for whom there was no match.
Well worked his plan, held his shield at an angle, a space
At which he could see the reflection of her face
On his shield, but not look into her eyes, he scored an ace,
The horrifying snakes in her hair died, her eyes ablaze
A statue of Medusa’s head shown as averting assailant’s gaze.

Banish listening, and teachings end.
     Between "Yes!" and "No!"
How much spectral difference is there?
Between healthy "live" and "evil"
Is the difference not normally 50-50?
That which we fear
     Is indeed to be feared;
That which we love
     Is indeed to be beloved;
But, alas, distant, yet also at hand, is this dawn of awakening
toward loving to be loved as
fearlessly unafraid of Beloved Climax Community!

We merry-make today,
self-congratulate while sub-optimizing,
As if consistently absorbing redemptive nutrients,
     As if playing Mountain Warrior in Springs redolent climax;
I alone am mildly wild with harvesting unemployment,
Like a new-born babe that cannot yet smile,
     Unattached,
neither grasping at joy nor averting lost identity,
contention with dissonance is like one without a zero home.

History's prevailing culture has enough and to spare,
But I am like one left out,
     behind marginal invisible boundary,
my heart and mind must be that of buttless comedy,
     Being as muddled,
     ambivalently equivalent,
     nebulously coincident!

Left-brain dominator cultures are knowing, luminous,
     strength self-fulfilling and prophesying futures;
I alone am dull, confused, equivalent.

Egocentric culture is clever, self-assured;
     I alone, depressed, repressed, suppressed,
     not impressed, pressed, pressing, birthing.
Patient as the sea,
     Adrift, seemingly aimless tipping points.

We all have purposed meaning,
     teleologized ecological faith;
I alone appear stubborn and irrelevantly uncouth.
I appear to differ from SuperEgo Culture,
In optimally valuing succulent sustenance from Mother Earth,
     universal natural systemic polyculturing in/out-formation.

Cruel Agony

Cruel agony!!
The brazen breath of your holy anticipation… writhing…conniving…
I am spent… so, so spent….

Terrified of your superior countenance, I crush these words in the mortar of your eyes closed tight
Good eye, black eye…. averting side to side

Where is this mess taking me next?

Tantalizing fury!!
Your fingers clasp about my throat, astonishing the gods on high
I have never seen the angels so irresolutely fly!

Bite me and let it be over!!!
This pain I have inflicted upon you is far beyond my conception
The ink being squeezed from me in tasty inception
Your teeth sinking in me and pulling….stretching like liquid elastic
The less of me makes certain of my love for you—so drastic

Your breathing mightier, more intentional, strove in the soles that tread for eons!
You have me dancing on your razor-sharp ledge…
The sledgehammer waiting for the moment you make your pledge

Testify!!! Or die…

Cringing, singing, dormant in disparity
My words strive so illusively, vainly for clarity
Smoothing the edge of your lips— two swords that clash
I hasten within the slit to the tongue that dares such confirmation…

You are my only,
Without you, I am so very lonely..
Look at these tears feverishly fall
When truth denies the wretchedness of your livid calls

In futile reserve, it seems I have made my mark
Misery is central in this looming, squirming dark
You devour my mind’s passions until all that remains is yours
And for a moment, I allow the rehabilitation of your force

AGONY…..cruel AGONY….
Hold onto me, again
I have dulled those swords, the entrance to your mouth
So that when they pierce me again,
I will fall to the earth with no doubt…
And you will penetrate me with all of your strength,
You will utter your love to me again,

Then I will close my eyes in peace,
And the gods can again breathe…

Time of Love and Late

Those days are dead and gone.
Arising to new ways and different strays.
Now is not forever.
For what is ever? Next to time.

Mistakes are made and loves are chosen.
Deep within flesh our souls are broken.
Can you hear a whisper, a moan, a cry;
When you see into anothers eyes?

What beyond faith keeps us alive?
As darkness sets in light sheds a tear.
Praying for everlasting life again.
Begging to be held in loves whim.

Can love be the true savior?
Always averting and changing, never stopping for time.
Behold love can strip away any and all evils.
All it asks is for your love back.

When amiss the nakedness of that lonely feeling,
Brings rains of cold sadness.
The fear of alone in that circle of love.
Someday one day the ring will be complete.
So long as those don't forget,
As time will fight to bury it away.

Tick tock why does time make a mockery?
A pit of want and of hate,
Rest so enticingly at its breast.
The arms of love loosen and unwind,
Leaving with a last song of beauty.
Easing the fall into the darkness.

A prison that keeps the hungry starved,
And the thirsty thirst.
For one last drop.
Each moment passing by slower into oblivion.
Manipulating the sound of loneliness.
So they echo in the anger,
Of all those days that were passed and wasted.

Premium Member Are We Cowards

are we cowards
hiding in the dark of night
or heroes awaiting daybreak?

sinners, mocked in guilt’s disguise,
saints, averting sinner’s eyes

borrowers and lenders of
the fleeting touch of heartless love,

bearers of a passioned torch
or pillars of a crumbled church.

do we define our fear
as enlightened self interest,
our bravery as self sacrifice,

if we were shadows of the sun
would we hold fast
or cut and run,

fear the sound of terror’s heart
beating in the lightless dark,

quell the pounding and declare
I am the light
Who sent me here.
