Thomas Turkey Avoids the Dreaded Axe

Tom Turkey got lost 'midst the teeming flock,

Thus, avoiding the dreaded chopping block!

      Hunkering down spared his life,

         Averting the carving knife!

He now recovers from traumatic shock!

I tend to agree with you, Jan. I just as soon have a good roast beef but turkey has become traditional for American Thanksgiving, Christmas and every other holiday you can think of. - Bob

G'day Bob … I wonder if a turkey has worked out why it's getting overfed at this time of the year. A terrible time for a fat turkey Bob - thanks Mate - Lindsay
