Premium Member While I Gaze In Your Eyes

While I gaze in your eyes, cool cerulean blue,
Sifting night, straining stars through morning’s sweet dew,
I can fathom the depths of empyreal skies,
Angels fluttering by, riding wild butterflies

While I gaze in your eyes, changing, aqua-blue greening,
I’m sucked into chasms, cascading, careening,
And yield to enticements which meekly disarm,
Seeping virtuous beauty, sad sensuous charm

While I gaze in your eyes, bleeding fiery blue
Ever tempting with treasures, with pleasures for two,
Being caught at the core of a blazing sapphire
Possessing, enthralling, aflame with desire

While I gaze in your eyes, misty emeralds, deep green,
Veiling laughter and banter, and echoes between,
Then I dream, so it seems, in whatever the place,
Of your scent, of your breath, of your radiant face

While I gaze in your eyes, at times placidly blue,
Near’ as calm as the weirs in the woods all bedewed,
Forty winks relegate to a shimmering lake,
Gently floating on lilies, while waiting to wake

While I gaze in your eyes, caught engulfed in the greens
And consigning my fate unto verdant ravines,
My reactions, at length, become shyer and shyer
Reminiscent of ravens at risk in the briar

While I gaze in your eyes, restless, hesitant blues
Overwhelming sensations with turbulent hues,
I’m succumbing to waves of a storm battered sea,
Being cast like a plank, never meant to be free

While I gaze in your eyes, shadowed, Midnight Lake green
Glowing hazy with dreams, misty thoughts so serene,
Sudden silence befalls me, a fast sinking stone,
Looming lost in your eyes, I am never alone

While I gaze in your eyes, saddened, lachrymal blue,
Spilling trickles of rain, pearls obscuring your view,
I’ll attend to your anguish and feelings morose,
Lightly kissing your tears, touching, holding you close

While I gaze in your eyes, pulsing infinite green
Of the earth and of heaven and all in between,
It is simple to see that my hands can hold all
Of the treasures I find which so humbly enthral

While I gaze in your eyes, when they’re bountifully blue,
I’m reminded, love’s lightning is granted to few...

While I gaze in your eyes, when they’re blindingly green,
I’m reminded, love’s lightning cannot be foreseen...

Yet I hope... and I wait...

Premium Member My Sweet Felicity - POTD

I had three daughters and I loved them all.
And they knew I had the biggest soft spot
For Felicity, the middle one. Her grace followed
Everywhere and everyone in the village knew.
Her golden yellow tress, her fluttering eyebrows,
Her small upturned nose enhanced the small sweet lips.
And she was always laughing, affecting everyone.

She found a job in a children's paediatric hospital.
Children were her love and she would attend to them
As often as time permitted, leaving her to laugh,
Echoing in the corridors, by far a favourite of all.

One thing she never missed. The service was on Sunday.
In the end, by permission, she would sing her hymn.
Many came to hear her angelic mellifluous voice.
She always chose "Amazing Grace". Soft notes that came from the heart
And rising to a crescendo. No one was allowed to clap.
Her final words were always the same.
You come to adore God. Praise His Holy Name.

To You With Love

So sweet your Venus kiss had felt
Under the silhouette glow in fair July
When your coral lips would burn
My forlorn face with a bright smile.

For each hell would seem an eternal bliss
And each breath is a lifetime of many moons
When embraced by your loving charms
That greets me tender in the fragrant noons.

My hands would attend to the teardrops
On rosy your cheeks that drips in the night
And when the mistless morn would rise
I'd fetch you a rose in the quivering light.

Fear not the darkness that cheats your will
Nor those sorrows your days define
And let not the troubles disarm your face
Of the beauty that God design.

For when I gaze at you then I would see
The starry candle lights of the skies
That holds the truth, love and purity
That is written in your eyes.

Its not the beauty that you possess
That draws me closer to your grace
Nor fame, nor wealth, nor form the best
That my heart has found its place.

But its your love as much as grains of sands
That is vast like the heights above
So heres my heart within my palms
To you my dear with love.

Premium Member My Eternal Garden

I attend to my garden each day-
though a tedious task, it is true.
With the seeds of ambition, I pray
it will flourish for me and for you.

Do you know how it prospers my dears?
With the sunshine of radiant love,
and the moisture of falling wet tears,
   intermittently splashed from above.

And by nurturing it with the swell
   of bright hope for each new shining day;
the faith fetched from my deepest dark well,
it will grow in a glorious way.

Then, by weeding it daily, it should
give new seedlings room needed to grow.
Quick removing unwanted dead wood-
left uncluttered its beauty will show

As my blooms open wide in the sun,
all their colors will blend bright and dim.
I’ll caress them so gently, each one,
and breathe deeply its fragrance, with vim.

Through the Summer, my garden will spread
   filling spaces so barren before,
and not fearing the Winter ahead
it will flourish and thrive even more.

Now, I know with the coming of Fall-
my old garden will soon fade away.
But, through Winter's sleep, wait for the call-
to awake on a reborn Spring day.

The 24 By 7 Disconnect

While attending a social do
You meet and greet others
It’s more a social norm
Than any ‘real’ connect
As you attend to calls
Or get yourself updated with ‘Updates’
Or simply fiddle with your phone
And mind you
You are not alone
Almost everyone is doing the same
Some listless bites of conversation
While chomping on the fare
And it’s time to take leave
But ironically
The same social do
Which you had so perfunctorily attended
Finds the pride of place
On social sites
And horror of horrors
You too find yourself
Engaged in mindless chatter
With the very same crowd
You didn’t much involve yourself with
Just a couple of hours before
In that crowded venue
The story is the same
Whether you are with friends, family or neighbours
The present moments are sacrificed
With ‘smart’ phones smartly severing you
From your surroundings
Ironically when face to face
No one has much to say
But there’s frenzied socialization
Every day
In the ‘virtual’ world
Leading to tch, tch
A 24/7 disconnect in the ‘real’ world.

The world in 100 years ... Oh, perish the thought

Former President, Ronald Dump, who was cryogenically frozen following his assassination after winning the ‘No Bull’ Peace Prize in December 2018, has been successfully defrosted.

Ronald Dump recently defeated his son, former President Barrrrron Van Dump, in the lunar by-election. President Dump will be taking up his forty year term at his office-in-the-round penthouse suite at ‘Lunar-Tic Towers’. This magnificent golden palace-like structure is situated on the fringes of the 29th bunker on the dark side of the moon. Naturally, it is a member’s only golf club and entry is strictly by special invitation only. It will be staffed by scantily costumed Honey-Bunny girls and models who the Dump handpicks. They will attend to every need and whim of his guests, unless he requires their expertise "handling."

President Dump will be supported by his android wife, Argenta, (humanoid model number 3060 with real hair and life-like body parts) who superseded the old model 'Milionairluva', who sadly could not be revived due to silicon and botox poisoning which ran rampantly throughout her Barbie doll body

The Lunar-Tic Towers will be totally off limits to the paparazzi so there can be no photographs taken of the Irn Bru brewing facility of his favourite drink which was banned in Scotland. He seeks to insure that no "fake news" stories are leaked by the press.

In his bid to tackle rising unemployment, currently standing at 99.6%, Dump will be advised by his new best friend and strategist, Kym Dung Hung Lo. This humanitarian almost obliterated the human race by detonating a nuclear warhead at the Dung Hung Lo Toy Factory which was caused when Dung Hung Lo threw his dolly out of the pram. So impressed by such a move, Dump hired him and invited Dung Hung Lo to be his number 2 to succeed him.

May God bless the earth, what little is left of her .. she needs all the help she can get with these two lunar tics in charge

The Queen and Her King

As I sit high on top of my mount holding my queens colors my armor has been tarnished from my queens enemies, as I dismount to go to her there is blood running down my side. Weak from battle protecting my queen she see’s the blood dripping down, taking her scarf from around her neck she wraps it gingerly around me. As my blood seeps through her scarf and as her tears run down her face saying, forgive me my knight for you have been wounded for me.

As I kneel on one knee and bow my head I spoke and said, my queen my life I would give to thee. As she starts to knee beside me I take her hand looking into her eyes, my queen I am not worthy for you to kneel next to me for without you my kingdom would be empty and my blood worthless. I say to you my queen every drop of blood that drips down from my side, Is my honor and my faith that I have shed for only you my beautiful queen.

As I lay in my humble room with her blood ridden scarf in my hand with my side bleeding my queen arrives with her servants to attend to my wounds, she kneels by my bed praying that her King will heal with tears of sorry leaking from her eyes and with a pain I can no longer bear. I look into her eyes wishing her our last goodbye closing my eyes never to see my Queen again. My armor hanging next to the bed my sword hangs beside it, as my queens last words were said: My King I cannot live without you, I take this sword and ask Gods forgiveness for what I do.

Oh, My Dear Walter, how your words have slayed
Humbled me, broken me, molded, remade

To taste of your world, see above or below it
Wit of a wordsmith, wry pith of a poet

To so construe love without using the phrase
Scrawl the sinew of war, yet delight in the days

To yawp of the grass - journeywork of the stars
Help heal a nation, attend to its scars

Find grace among horrors, sift beauty from death
The soul-pull of tides - briny kiss of their breath

To habit us all ... to the dazzle of light
Celebrate ourselves, bequeath us the night

Ask recurring questions of romance and life
Of presidents, boot soles, and moldering strife

Demons and mockingbirds, Paumanok's dunes
The pale, horrid witness of unstinted moons

'Twas sad-blown, a bugle, convulsed, was a drum
Yet exquisite, the dirge for a soldier and son

The sorrow of clouds in a ravening sky
The weep of a child should the Pleiades die

Knit airy-fresh words, with uncommon phrases
Draw Apollo and Neptune in all of their phases

Be there adoration as hapless as mine
Yet no soul more ardently leveled, supine

No writer has reached deeper into my heart
Idioms and phrases ... such allurement, impart

Ah, yes, what I'd give to have just one chat
With the rare human being who afforded all that

And maybe I'm biased, if perhaps to a fault
But the name of MY Captain, O Captain ...

Is WALT.

An Unhiegenic Affair

Her hormones fled the coop
on scalding tires.

He drifted into her,
working the night-shift
of a traveling fantasy.

Motel maids were her sisters
bars her occupation,
a place to work
on the aerobics of hope.

Their love
was an unhygienic affair.
Everything spilled out,
much maintenance
in putting back in.
Emotional jism
was scrubbed by hand
until skin-tight excuses
glistened
milky as mollusk flesh.

They had lots to attend to.
Feelings had to be
daily resuscitated
into former victimized forms.
He would not leave;
she would not go.
He anointed her again,
and again
with his pity-me flesh.

Their mutually dependent rodeo
played itself out
on the steps
of a haggard tomorrow,
both now blinded
by owl-light.

Premium Member Faith

Faith is purity shining in a newborn’s eyes,
the strong knowing rooted in their helplessness
that prevents any worries over dependency;
it's witnessing nature declare all light gone
just as it diligently places the morning sun;
watching animals innately attend to survival;
it's believing the never aging, familiar voice
that is ever alert within each human's chest;
and it's all one’s human reflexes often deny
while one’s spiritual senses feel-testify
an omnipotent Papa wove each soul's karma.

Premium Member All In a Day

I wake up and scurry. It’s hurry and hurry!
First and foremost – take a pee!
Cosmetics applying while minutes are flying.
Check emails and put on the tea.

Pack a lunch for the day that I’ll take on my way
out the door as I go to my car.
I must not leave late or I’ll agitate
my boss, but my job’s a bit far.

In class I am facing sweet students. Time’s racing.
So much to accomplish by noon.
Lunch time, I’m still going. I watch the clock, knowing
of more things I need to do soon.

Grades I’ll be doing with errands ensuing.
I race to my car and head out.
To the bank or the store; to the post office or
some other place with no doubt.

Have I time for the gym? Gotta keep myself trim.
But my chores are all waiting for me.
Some jobs get put off. You better not scoff.
I attend to my poetry!

The dinner needs cooking; at TV I’m looking
while slicing and dicing, for I
enjoy my tv shows. I’m NOT missing those -
I can “listen” as through tasks I fly.

My kitchen I clean well. Perhaps one more email?
With my hubbie I’m all cozy when
at last I am sleeping. Then daylight comes creeping.
I wake and start over again!

Premium Member PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR MULTIPLYING HIS GRACE AND PEACE UNTO US

December 22 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on 2Peter 1-3

Key Verse – 2Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR MULTIPLYING
HIS GRACE AND PEACE UNTO US

Praise be to God for multiplying His grace and
peace unto us as He:
Develops our character
Deepens our commitment
Disciplines our courageous cause
Drives us by His calling for consecration
Directs our Christlikeness’ compassion-care

2Peter 2:9 Praise be to the Lord for
delivering us out of:
Trials through His truth
Testing by His teachings
Turmoil along His training
Terror for our thanksgiving
Tricks upon His trustworthiness
Temptations toward His triumph
Tribulations for testimony’s tenacity

2Peter 3:18 Praise be to the Saviour for allowing us
to grow in His grace as we:
Abide in His assurance
Adore Him by His approval
Attend to His authentic affirming
Abound in His assertions’ affluence
Awake to His assistance along our accountability. Amen!

Sui Generis

The sun opens her eyes behind a roseate veil,
her aubade harmonizing with Argus-eyed blackbirds
as it rises to a crescendo, staring in her husband’s
cratered eyes, ready to relieve him of his watch over the
world’s children so he can attend to their parents —
that is, the cosmic bodies that collided to create them; the
sacred alchemy.

He lifts her honey veil; a goodnight kiss he hopes to reenact
eternally, the aeons circling anniversaries as if liesegang
rings. She looks back, her flint knife eyes flashing violently.
“This fierce face is a facade,” he thinks, seeing her tremulous
expression, lips quivering in anticipation; a holy seduction
— that is, the ancient and sui generis matrimonio of
gods.

Little Birdie in the rain,
will you hide ‘til it starts to wane?

Little Birdie in the snow,
do you have a warm place to go?

Little Birdie in the heat,
do you know of a cool retreat?

Little Birdie in the cloud,
do you forever stand up proud?

Little Birdie in the sleet,
will you hide underneath a sheet?

Little Birdie in the wind,
will your untidy feathers mend?

Little Birdie whatever you do,
remain safe and attend to You!

Debesmscat Hymn

As the sun shines over us
Let it warm our hearts and remind us
That DEBESMSCAT
Is once again on its flight

Students:

We are DEBESMSCAT's wings
Spread against the wind of change
We will be strong and striving
Wise, virtuous, and obedient

Teaching Staff:

We are DEBESMSCAT's head
Directed towards its flight's goal
We will teach its wings and lead
And steer them to the right course

Non-teaching staff:

We are DEBESMSCAT's torso
Attached to its wings and head
We will provide enough power
Support and attend to their needs

We will toil hand in hand!
Fly, DEBESMSCAT, higher!
And you will surely land
On your goal which is greener!

DEBESMSCAT (Dr. Emilo B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology) is a state college located at Cabitan, Mandaon, Masbate, Philippines.
