Premium Member Atlanta Santa

imagine me
upon his knee

a little child so meek and mild
thrilled to visit our dear Santa
in the heart of old Atlanta
such a precocious little child

thrilled to visit our dear Santa
in southern Georgia warm and wild
not in the least my mind beguiled
in the heart of old Atlanta

imagine me
thrilled to visit our dear Santa
a little child so meek and mild
in southern Georgia warm and wild
upon his knee

upon his knee
imagine me

Premium Member Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are a team that is flying high.
Their success is something no one will deny.
When the birds have other teams in their clutches,
their opponents usually walk out on crutches.

Every Atlanta child, woman, and man,
should be proud to be a Falcons fan.
This is a team destined for winning and fame.
Their opposition is left humiliated in shame.

The offense displays a brazen attack.
The defense holds opposing offenses back.
How surprised visiting teams will be
when the Falcons show true southern hospitality.

Robert Pettit For all Atlanta Falcons fans wherever they may be

Premium Member The Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves
losing in the Wild Card game.
          Done for the season.
There will be no World Series.
They just have to wait next year.

Premium Member Super Bowl 51 Atlanta Falcons Vs New England Patriots

A SUPER BOWL WIN
I WILL FOREVER REMEMBER
CAPPED OF A SEASON
THAT STARTED SEPTEMBER
FEBRUARY FIVE
TWENTY SEVENTEEN
FOR SOME IT WAS HELL
AND OTHERS A DREAM
7 - NOTHING
THE GAME JUST BEGUN
A LOT MORE GAME
BEFORE THIS GAME IS DONE
14 - ZIP
AIN'T THAT A TRIP
I REFUSE TO BELIEVE
I MADE THE WRONG PICK
21-ZAP
CAN THE PATRIOTS COME BACK
IT MIGHT BE THE FALCONS
ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK
21-3
THE PATRIOTS SCORE
FINALLY THE PATRIOTS
ARE ON THE BOARD
THE SECOND HALF STARTS
FALCONS RECEIVE
TO ME THEY SCORED
TOO EASY IT SEAMED
28-3
WHO COULD BELIEVE
MATT AND THE FALCONS
WOULD BEAT BILL AND BRADY
28-9
A MISSED EXTRA POINT
HE MUST HAVE BEEN DRUNK
OR JUST FINISHED A JOINT
25 POINTS
COULD THIS BE A RECORD
LET ME FINISH THIS PIZZA
AND CALL DR. PEPPER
28-12
LET'S KEEP IT GOING
I HAVE THIS FEELING
MOMENTUM IS GROWING
28-20
HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS
STILL LOTS OF TIME
FOR BRADY AND PATS
28-26
THEY WENT FOR 2 POINTS
PATRIOTS FANS
STARTED ROCKING THE JOINT
LET'S FLIP THIS COIN
START THIS O/T
THIS MIGHT BE A GAME
NO ONE BELIEVES
IT LOOKED LIKE A BLOWOUT
RIGHT FROM THE START
BUT AGAIN TOM BRADY
PICKED THEM APART
AND AGAIN LIKE SO MANY,
MANY TIMES BEFORE
BRADY MARCHED DOWN THE FIELD
FOR THE GAMES FINAL SCORE

Premium Member Flight To Atlanta

We float together above the earth,
The clouds and I.
They form layers.
From above, they are fluffy white and pristine.
Below, dirty gray and flat.
A skim of flotsam that seeks a place to settle.
A sheet of marble.

Then changing to rows of cotton planted
Two on four. Ready to strip and bale.
The ground between shows shadows
That gallop like wild mustangs on the open plain.
They are the darker of the twins,
And remind of the limits of light and sky.
Yen and Yang, the balance.
Each an ink blot that would test Rorschach.

Now becoming forever white like
Deep and driven drifts of snow.
Or, white icing on an endless sheet of cake.
Small peaks are skillfully placed
By nature’s cleaver hand.

Towers of misty clouds climb above the rest
And become smoke from a fire
Or steam from a boiling pot.
Smoke signals.

Moving through the climbing vapor
Gives the ride a rattle and rumble
As driving on a country road.
Windows become foggy glasses that
Clear without a wipe.

The cloud ahead becomes an angry mountain
That towers above and darkens the ground below.
With admiration and respect,
We circle,,,and wait

Jobless In Atlanta

Unemployment line
Single file to soup kitchen...
Fear of homelessness

Unemployment line
Cries in emergency room...
Fear, no insurance

Unemployment line
Like a faith-healer's crusade...
Hope to help, heal, house

Forever Atlanta

Feel the sun, and enjoy the breeze of spring,
Opening your door to let winter out.
React to the pollen, watching it cling
Everywhere, because of the long drought.
Visit the Easter Bunny at the mall.
Easter eggs are finally in season!
Reach for a stick, then go grab a round ball,
And head towards a field for no reason.
Turner Field is open! So is Six Flags!
Little Five Points is drawing a big crowd!
As Piedmont Park invites all tails to wag,
North, South, East, and West Atlanta get loud.
This is the season. This is the city.
And, ignoring them would be a pity.

Stuck with gas, no antacid had Santa
as he flew Christmas Eve near Atlanta.
When Santa Claus farted,
the reindeer all darted.
And poor Santa cried out, "Oh, Mylanta!”

Atlanta

My son is nine years old;
    we laugh, read, cry, paint,
        draw, watch cartoons, fish,
play at the park, and do homework

I love having a son:

After eight years of trying we still
have not conceived. When my dream of having a
baby girl has come true, her name will be......

Atlanta Dawn

Thinking of you Atlanta Dawn
I was her sucker her plans drawn

the marriage was hell
never rang my bell

said I gave her baby
never came no maybe

just another lie from hertThough at times she made me purr

love is much more than sex
she loved taking my checks

that was so long a go
Atlanta Dawn no show

maybe someday a child will come
one thing sure child’s life won’t be glum

Moonlight In Atlanta

I devoured her in the way the moon took over the night time shining its light in all the darkest places, gazing among places untouched by another’s light. I was always your sun and you were my moon. Innocent rays of light touching each other's skin.

Atlanta

An indissoluble overcast
hazes stark starless skies,
submerging neuortic Atlanta's
shapely, contrasting shadows.

Peering through magnetic stratus
neon flashes a stuttered stammering staccato.
Silent voices scream out
from their calico maze.

Treacherous felines prowl roof tops,
searching with iridescent eyes
for unway soaring eagles
jetting through the cloudy sky

Nesting clouds reflect
patchy haloed night beams,
outlining vague shaped obelisks
rising up through a collected sky line

Piercing tenant eyes penetrate
senior level structures,
curvung window panes
enclosing mirrored towers.

Window entertainment assimilates
electronic pin ball machines,
visualing the cities blood
flowing throuigh astringent vessels.

Ant army sqyadrons, wearing
miner's helmets, march through
paved slotted furrows
hypnotically following each grove.

Premium Member Atlanta

Atlanta, Georgia
Is filled with some smart people
The parks offer peace
'Til someone is killed by guns
Sometimes~stabbing, girl and dog

Nearly every night or even in daylight someone is killed in the Atlanta area (including several towns and counties), sometimes in twos.
