Premium Member Two Souls Lost At Sea

Who am I to take her innocence.
To caress her untouched virgin fibers.
This is not a negative connotation of lust,
it's an intimate overtone to show affection.

I tell my heart to be patient,
yet it irks from the rub of lingering
and it's flustered - feeling lost,
as tomorrow has no guarantee,
but she lives in a fantasy of dreams,
where her mind paints a different reality.

Art of the heart is not so simple -
in our predicament of sensibility
and it would be selfish
to convince her to stay,
but tragic to let her leave
and then she tells me how
she cant live without me,
so we remain helpless,
two souls on two different shores -
content with being lost at sea.

Lost At Sea - New Tanka

wind carries the cries
of lost souls departed hence.
Claimed in the white foam
of a turbulent spring tide....
St Nicholas* comforts them

* St Nicholas patron saint of sailors

Premium Member Psalms At Sea

I sing praises to you under moon's watchful eye
As the ocean waves calm above from the deep
and You transform gusty winds into soft breezes.
With your blessed protection I am able to sleep.

I am bathed in your peaceful tranquility my Lord
As my prayers ascend to your heavenly realm.
You are the Divine master of my wayward boat
as you guide me to shore when you take the helm.

I know you will always send Angel's to rescue me
Should my boat run aground on sharp rocks below.
They will lovingly guard me and see me safely home.
I'll sing psalms in praises dearest Lord, wherever I go.

Premium Member Lost At Sea

Seething turbulent waters
Angry billowing waves
Ready to pound and crush
To pull under and punish
To churn and churn
And leave breathless
Gasping, fighting for breath
For LIFE

Angry...where once it was calm
Tranquil
Serene and deep
Oh, so deep
With treasures to be explored
With beauty to be seen
GRASPED
Felt and enjoyed

Now…..the storm is brewing
The waves cresting
Readying themselves to crash down
To obliterate
And exact revenge
For the sea is a force of nature
Not to be tampered with
It can mesmerize
It can allure and excite
Drench and envelope
With liquid euphoria

But it cannot be tamed
It WILL not be tamed
It will tame
Conquer
OVERPOWER
Devour and spew out
If not understood
If not appreciated
If not held in awe and respect
It can threaten one's very existence
And if it chooses not to destroy
It is sure to leave the foolish hearted
Lost
LOST at SEA

YES, I will leave you
LOST in MY SEA
Of ANGRY PASSION

Premium Member Find Me At Six - Peril Out At Sea

Find me when you sail upon aqua seas,
pretty Loreli the water spirit.
My haunting melody will entice you;
I will lure you to come closer, closer.
Many sailors have perished on the rocks -
If you hear my voice, don’t try to find me!

*Lorelei is a feminine water spirit, similar to a siren or mermaid, which is rumored to send sailors to their death, by luring them near cliffs with her beautiful singing voice.

Birds At Sea

Adrift upon the ocean
bob a bunch of resting birds.
What is it that they call themselves?
A flock or school or herd?

Could it be this feathered colony
is a band or horde at best
No screeches, calls or gaggling,
they don’t brood or crowd or nest

Spread out like black freckles,
birds are shuffled by default.
Flavoring the ocean
dash of pepper to sea’s salt

Not gliding like mighty albatross
with wingspan strong and wide.
Or dancing with the currents
right by the dolphins side

Just floating in the middle
between the blue and green
Neither soaring in the heavens
or a coral dance routine

And there, what’s that beneath them,
beyond their paddling feet
Just some strange attraction?
Or friends they’re yet to greet.

A sudden splash of water!
Could it be a pod of whales?
Or the giggle of a baby seal,
nipping at their tails.

Will they look right through the jellyfish,
that flash and throb and group
to the gathering bunch of mackerel
congregating in the soup

But no, they’re not much bothered
by the party in full swing.
They just gossip amongst each other
While cleaning weathered wings

Waiting for the wind to change
On the ocean they sit tight
Regaining all that energy
needed to take flight

So what's its name, this party?
Of primp and craning necks.
In the skies they flock together
On the ocean, they’re a wreck!

Buried At Sea.

I watch the ocean waves from underneath it all.
Deep down.
It's getting harder to breathe.
This water makes its way into my lungs.
You're suffocating me.
Asphyxiation.
Just leave me here, you haven't changed at all.
You fall apart, every time you start.
Just start realizing you can't replace the hole that you put in my heart.
One last breath to say goodbye.
I'll tell myself a final lie.
"I'll make it out alive."
The only thing that can feel this hole is the water that buries me at sea.
It'll feel the void, complete me.
Will I ever feel my limbs again?
Is this the end of my suffering?
I don't feel like waking up.
I can't wake up.
I can't see the sunrise anymore.
I have sunken to the ocean floor.

Washed Away At Sea

Ripples once sweet transformed into large breaking waves

Washing me away Dragging me down
miles down into the abbyss of an open ocean.

The zephyr breeze once gentle and soft
turned and whirled into hurricaine force winds.

The deep blue sea once blissed and still
became a bitter taste of sea-salt tears

Tears .. Tears that rolled over my rose -kissed cheeks

against my chest into my sleep.

Drops filled my mouth choking each heart-beat

my body immersed pulling me down

All the way down All the way down reaching the bottom

Lost far away close to the edge of no return

in sinking feeling of life and man.

Weak Struggling tired and weak

with no way out but vacant darkness

Like a wild warrior loosing the battle I fought so hard

Swimming way up both hope and loss

breaking so free into the surface. I've risen

risen above wet goose-bumped skin of murky waters

Thinking of life Forgetting death

I inhaled both cool mist and air.

Breathing numb breaths in dizzy spells I cried for help...

Eyes to the sky facing the moon

I cried again Somebody help !

Somebody find me I lonely pleaded

Somebody warm my failng soul

Somebody love me Somebody hold me

Somebody take me to a safe shore.

Almost forgetting that everybody including you

Have all been gone.

Part 2 :

And I'm still here like a small island

that is not heard and goes unseen

I'm not in waiting too proud to beg

but as a dreamer still own a dream.

I'm still believing in silver linings

at the stretched - edge of fading tides

I m still here feeling the serene beauty

that once have captured this love that hides.

Somebody find me Don't sail away

With longing arms Please Come to me

kiss these lips glowing in dusky shadows

Be that brave life-guard who sets me free.

Premium Member Flight At Sea

Pelicans fly side by side
royal in their stately glide
waxing eloquent at sea
drafting skies and feeling free.

Side of heaven here on earth
glide in glorious rebirth
sea of summertime, so fair
free from worry, without care.

Premium Member All At Sea

all at sea, my restive heart
waters are calm, but in calmness
   moored
the bounty of a lover's soliloquy
raging torrents bequeath a joy
you ask of beauty's tapestry, guided
yet do I seek
yet do I fold in conjecture
nature's bliss, consuming waves
   please...
   I ask in limerence
and we, ships sail away

Premium Member Man Is More Than a Vessel Stranded Out At Sea, Second Tribute Poem To Dylan Thomas

From blog,
That Life Extends Its Seeds Beyond Our Mortal Coils,
Wherein Truth And Light Sets A Saving Path

My Dylan Tribute poem,
Second poem

Man Is More Than A Vessel Stranded Out At Sea,
Second Tribute Poem to Dylan Thomas

That life may floweth into sad years of old age
Flailing against savage cuts that bring frothing rage
We in our mortal weakness are but flesh and bone
Oft sailing within storms as world's darkness is blown
Seeking life and wonderment on every page
Even if a lost actor on an empty stage
Railing against Time and Fate, and the great unknown
Only to have dreams trampled and peace overthrown!

Whether in the midst of ones' life and joy thus brought
Or befuddled by the chaos of lies when caught
Heart and soul must act as caretaker of ones' life
Wake to thank the morn, overcome the daily strife
Remember that life is a most precious gift
And life sets mystic patterns that eternally shift
Look at the beaming sun, speak well thanking each day
Search for happiness with sincere praise bow to pray!

In this mortal life walk a true and peaceful path
Try to avoid those steeped in rampaging wrath
Search deep for the magnificent bounty of love
Ever look skyward, plead for blessings from above
Hold to the wisdom- life tis a sweet gift from God
For the truth is upon this dark earth we must trod
Man is more than a vessel stranded out at sea
There is a close link between Heaven, God and thee!

Rhyme, ( In Life, Good And Bad Are The Perils We Must Face )
Second Tribute poem to Dylan Thomas..

Note :
After being stumped for days -this came to me this morn.
Spent the day, rewriting and editing. Finally decided that
this is it. As a poet I have said what I wanted and thus
honored the man, the poet as to the best of my ability
to do so… This came after 3 other poems were written
 and then trashed.. God bless..

Premium Member Poem To Self In Passing

Bury me not to rot deep in the bowels of earth,
all alone in the cold, silent, dank wetness of dirt.
For the very first day I awoke before birth
I was floating in the warm sea of the womb, so alert
to my mother's warm body fluid, soothing and supporting.
Bobbing and rocking, caressed by her comforting
touching of me, and her soft muffled words and lullabies,
I was carried in her womb until my birth's surprise and cries.

At my demise, burn my body, scatter my ashes far out to sea
so they can bob and rock, floating in sheer delight and glee
at being back in a womb, back in the sea, where I want to be.

Lost At Sea

Physcologically, I gotta be
advancing like technology
enhancing from a model t
into the helicopter seat
but then i got a chopper beat
call in the mach three
have it fly in over the top of me
i'm coming up in this game
like taking property in monopoly
i hold it down like poverty
See logically i'm obviously
the prodigy of this prophecy
i got a lot on my mind
so i feel i got a lot to teach
like it was ancient philosophy
drop a beat & talk beliefs
then start to preach to the hard to reach
educate them properly
& before their brain is obsolete
sculpt that thing like pottery
so instead of makin a mockery
of the things you see when you watch tv
just stop to see then possibly
you wont feel like your lost at sea.

A bridge was crossed, and when I count
the things I've lost,
you come to mind,
a ship at sea, searching for its ghost.
