Psalms At Sea

I sing praises to you under moon's watchful eye
As the ocean waves calm above from the deep
and You transform gusty winds into soft breezes.
With your blessed protection I am able to sleep.

I am bathed in your peaceful tranquility my Lord
As my prayers ascend to your heavenly realm.
You are the Divine master of my wayward boat
as you guide me to shore when you take the helm.

I know you will always send Angel's to rescue me
Should my boat run aground on sharp rocks below.
They will lovingly guard me and see me safely home.
I'll sing psalms in praises dearest Lord, wherever I go.

Such a prayer of thanks and praise must make our Lord happy, Connie. And I like the way you compare yourself to a boat at sea. Very nicely written, my friend. Congratulations is not enough. You deserve an ovation! Hugs, Carolyn

oh my gosh, how lovely this is, Connie. You inspire me now. I will try to just write it as nature and how it makes me feel, since I am kind of stuck on this theme!! I saw Ad Astrum today, produced and acted in my Brad Pitt. He is brilliant

i love the ocean, thought i fear it as well... this is a wonderful psalm...one that could be used by many sailing the sea or living within its fury of storms... Beautifully penned my friend! Good luck in the contest, though i think it will be among the winners :) hugs

This is the key Connie, to let Him take the helm. "You are the Divine master of my wayward boat as you guide me to shore when you take the helm." Lovely!

I just posted for the 'grateful' contest using an ocean theme. This is lovely, I'd love to print it out for my 'uplifting and affirming' bulletin board by my desk. Again, your muse has really been profoundly 'on' these past few months - such divine writes have come from you to awe us all. YOU ARE A BLESSING. Love ... CayCay (soupmail)
