The Astonishing Serenity of Eventide

A kaleidoscope of azure and intense tangerine,
resonating beauty so peaceful and serene-
My eyes are raptured from the sun descending,
the most astonishing sight I’ve ever seen.
Soon the ebon sky shall arrive with dusk ascending.

Breathtaking and elegant I see nothing but appeal,
there are no metaphors to describe just how I feel-
With each blink of my eye the scenery modifies,
and with each transformation my heart does heal,
bringing resplendency to life with the closing of the skies.

Peach sapphire radiancy with staggering desire,
a long day of sunshine turns into eventide fire-
The day is concluded with heaven’s sweet abyss,
twilight approaches as tranquility I do acquire.
I watch the stillness appear as the intimate clouds kiss.

No sights can be seen with this much placid repose,
it’s time for rest for the weary as daylight comes to close-
Soon dawn will arrive with a new artisan hue,
and all things mother nature brings in marvel shall expose.
Now it’s time to bid farewell and say with awe... adieu.

My Astonishing Love

I cannot begin to expound this breathtaking damsel
Grossly beyond definition, synonymous to a priceless parcel
An embodiment of perfection, fashioned with the master pencil
Dominator of her peers, born to exceed the greatest counsel

A baron to beauty, the synopsis of impressing
Her face, so precious a crystal, immoderately dazzling
Her eye's like a sunrise at twilight, stunning and mystifying
Her voice, sonorous and mystique, fabulous and arresting

She's a masterpiece, kick-starting the hearts of many at toll
Features actions that dance to the hidden language of the soul
Her words are like rain drops, piercing into the fabrics of minds, modifying roles
And her love, the humiliating wonder that I shall continue to extol

Instantaneously, she could be an inane trouble maker
A complete and elaborate example of a truculent overtaker
Unleashing the influx of a pestering disorder
Still, her heart vociferously overrules the purest of waters

She's my invaluable jewel, my love for her is abundant
My inevitable achievement, every other girl made redundant
My incandescent comforter, I'm truly highly exuberant
My incontrovertible blessing, yesterday, today, and constant

Love the calm in the glory of lions.
Oh, a flung continent that begs for reckons.
Volatile air, agitated flocks, and dusty fife.
Since humanity's birth, lifeblood has stirs.

The city is chaotic and bustling with life,
It disrupts the acumen, causing inner strife.
As I get closer and closer to the city bosom,
Between suitable and improper, it's rife.

Hooves on the plains drumming out a rhythm.
In the thickets of the jungle, where lions schism.
Along sacred rivers, there is nothing but space.
A nation that consumes without leaving a minim.

Mambas return to the web in quest of a large place.
To nurse at a dynamic and fluctuating pace.
My magnificent lifeblood, O priceless African green.
Excellent crocodile eyes and needle-shaped face.

Astonishing the Senses

On a pristine stretch of solid sand
its serene surface bathed in lazy
sunshine, I long to hop on a boat,
let my mind stop thinking, let it rest
in contemplation and wonder how
I can ever stop life moving on.

I stare at nothing, not forgetting
still remembering old memories.
Intoxicated and seduced, I
breathe in a clear landscape stirred to life
by a summer wind - such is nature's
orchestrations, scrub the world clean of
chaos, astonishing the senses

The Astonishing Robert Wadlow

The Astonishing Robert Wadlow

By Elton Camp

At Robert’s birth, his family smiled
As they welcome an 8.5 pound child

But soon any real normalcy was gone
His pituitary made too much hormone

Doctors of the time couldn’t do a thing
So an acceleration in growth it did bring

At eight years old, he was six feet tall
While other third graders were small

Finally, he lacked an inch being nine feet
Many house ceilings his head would meet

Despite many hardships, he did all he could
To maintain a degree of normal childhood

Matchbooks and stamps Robert collected
And to join the Boy Scouts he elected

But he had so little sensation in his big feet
Eventually at an infection his death did meet

Despite his size, he was a man gentle and kind
Even today, his hometown keeps him in mind

Astonishing That We Should Live At All

To fulminate against the hands of fate
To vent our anger on beloved friends
Will not repair our ills and our mistakes
But may bring friendships to a bitter end.

For who are we to know what is the best?
Who are we to choose when loved ones die?
And do not think this is a needed test.
As if on us God wastes his time to spy.

Once we were a joining of two cells
The lively sperm, a salmon riding high.
The egg awaiting without need for bells
Is fertilised and grows that which shall die.

Astonishing that we should live at all.
Unsurprising, that a loved one falls.

Astonishing Rush, Night

I never believe that a smile could hurt you
And cancel all hiding like a superstitious fear
To be separated by both --
The hiding darkness & the question who's kidding.

Not questioning any smile allow my womanhood to cross
Over your body, she says, gazing into my eyes, and with the touch
Of my nerve and what I stand, I make you stand.
That's my love, isn't? A windowless that only it's rolling on
And it makes the breathe to explode into the spring!

What Is Astonishing You In Usa

First time to be in USA,  I think I am still in  South Africa,
More things resemble,
Let me tell you Americans and South Africans,

Examination of the two Coutries

A) I can hear the songs  of traditional Roosters
while driving in rural erears of USA
 same as in South Africa,
B) Their beautiful beaches , roads , malls and cities
 look like South Africans
C) More companies and farms  own by the  white people like in South Africa
D) Their currency is powerful than South Africans
E) The USA bank system is not  good like South Africans
F) The majority of black people are underprivileged
 in both countries,
G) My mind continues questioning me ,
maybe I am right.

Similarity of a  top American and top African countries

A) There are beggars and homeless people of different
races same as in South Africa
B) There are more beautiful independent women
of different races  like in South Africa,
C) There are some volunteers who feed some people
in the streets same as in South Africa,
D) There are many people who sleep in the shelters
in many cities same as in South Africa
E) Majority of the people of the two countries buy more things in credit.
F) USA organised  Fifa World Cup in 1994
and South Africa in 2010,
G) My eyes see everything , mind is telling me
to share with millions of people this analyse.

Twilight

Let the day always fade says Jacob as he watches the moonrise. The nightsky twinkling, simple yet astonishing. He looks at the moon, tensed, not knowing what to say. He looks

A tiny shiver of what might come next. As the words disappear, it intensifies. He screams and cries, to the moon

But little does he know, the moon belongs to the night.

For he, under the vast violet sky, is but a wolf.

The Archaeologist's Astonishing Discovery

The Archaeologist’s Astonishing Discovery

A tale set in the year 4010.

By Elton Camp

A digger into the past to peek,
Dug into the ground so deep.
Finding a hole in a pile of rubble
Caused him his efforts to redouble.

He sought to find a temple intact,
So through the stone he did hack.
When he shone his light inside,
He gasped, eyes became so wide.

“Carter do you see anything?”
The words had a familiar ring.
“Amazing things I see in here.
I hope there’s no curse to fear.”

“A temple it is certain to be,
The god it honors I can see.”
Statue is here in plastic cast.
Worshipers meant it to last.

Its pale, white face signifies death;
Red hair that it demanded wealth.
It has gloves a brilliant yellow,
And look at the shoes on that fellow.

Arms and legs clad in red and white.
A big smile shows the god’s delight.
Its yellow tunic an image bears.
The yellow arches set in pairs.

The temple’s altar can’t be nice.
Maybe used for human sacrifice.
It once had a source of high heat.
No doubt used to cook some meat.

It’s shocking to think what it may have been.
People way back there were addicted to sin.
A sign in old English on the wall does fit.
The translation is certain: “I’m loving it.”

Its meaning back in that day
Is now very hard for us to say.
A temple in this good shape.
To study, many years will take.

Astounding Goals and Astonishing Treasures

Each blink of our elegant eyes
Constitute the visual enveloping of aspiring sceneries.
Each empathetic and energetic smile
Conquers the empires of earthly fantasies.
Not every nod is good
And not all words aren't graceful;
Designing against the dreadful
Can deviate us from any pathetic cause.
So, direct your mind towards the privileges
Of astounding goals and astonishing treasures.

Astonishing Autumn

Crimson and medallion leaflets fall to the ground with ease,
they drift and sail until the tangerine sun sets in the west.
There is a brisk vigorous sentiment in the crisp morn’ breeze.
For it is time for the heat of the summer to come to a rest,
Autumn has arrived with hues that radiate and glow with zest.

Farewell to the colorful Hummingbirds and Robins that fly,
for they will soon soar south for warmth and intense ardor.
Though the blue clouds will still roam around the high sky
they will be cooled down by what Autumn has in store.
The low ivory glazed Harvest Moon is what I truly do adore.

This time of year is my favorite for many proverbial reasons.
It gleams with pulchritude and beauty in so many known ways.
It carries the most splendid moments of the earth’s four seasons
as my passion for the alluring kaleidoscope of colors do blaze.
There is nothing as astonishing as the comfort of fresh Autumn days.

Astonishing Beauty of Spring

The frost is f a d i n g as Spring is arriving with her grace.
Such ASTONISHING warmth I shall welcome and embrace.
For now is the season of new growth for the pink lilies,
as I pick them for their BEAUTY and place them in a vase.
I shall encompass myself with the breeze of the willow trees…
feeling the ease OF SPRING as the Winter begins to cease.
