Sunshine Eats Its Armor

Night is an old fish
deep in a dark sea
racing ever upward,
emerging into light

slow to eat more
yet steady as she goes
ever changing its tails,

seeking life anew
anticipating,
a future never known,

breaking against all
speeding into a mist
longed for by many,
desires on every list

Night is a new fish
racing down to flee
sunshine eats its armor
deep, dark it wants to be

~Wear His Armor~
(Lanterne)

Feel
much pain
but with his
love I'll always
walk

With
his help
crush evil
His light shines all
day

My
true hope
is the Lord
faith will stand thru
all

Lord
feeds soul
keeps me whole
facing life thru
hell

Safe
with the
Lord I'll be
He knows all 'bout
me

I
trust the
best for me
is yet to come
His armor I'll
wear

Premium Member The Armor of God

In ancient times when knights were bold,
They dressed in armor, so we're told.
When they went out to face their foe,
Their armor protected them head to toe.

Christians we must do the same,
Or be struck down by Satan's aim.
His flaming arrows fly all around,
Intending to knock us to the ground.

So put on God's armor without delay,
We need His protection everyday.
For our struggle is not against what we can see,
But the powers of darkness are our enemy.

Stand firm then and dress with all haste,
Start with truth buckled 'round your waist.
Satan fights dirty by spreading lies,
But the belt of God's truth will make us wise.

Next is the Breastplate of Righteousness,
That God provides for all who are His.
It's the righteousness of Christ covering you,
That the evil one cannot stand up to.

Now cover your feet with the readiness of,
Sharing God's gospel of peace and love..
Take the Shield of Faith and keep it near,
To deflect Satan's arrows of confusion and fear.

Place the Helmet of Salvation firmly on your head,
It will keep Satan's lies from filling you with dread.
He wants to make you doubt your salvation is sure,
But the helmet will guard your mind and keep you secure.

Your armor is complete, but now you need a sword,
So take the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of the Lord.
God's Word is sufficient to defend or attack.
With God's Word in your heart you can hold Satan back.

With your armor in place and your Sword in your hand,
Be strong in the Lord and in His power stand.
And pray in the Spirit at all times and all ways,
Cause the enemy trembles when Saints start to pray!

Based on Ephesians 6:10-18

Battle Armor

There is no weapon
More destructive than your fear
No shield like your faith.

Armor of God

Like our smartphone powers us through our day
We have to learn to put God into play
In the most powerful way
He is in our hearts to stay
So we must start our day
Asking God for his protection when we pray

Against life's worst kind of infections
That trips us up allowing us to lose our direction
Our Lord with all his loving affection
Gives us a suit of armor to shield us from evil
We constantly feel that is ever so real

Knowing in Gods deal
He provides us with his holy seal
A suit of armor made of unpenetrable steel
Bearing the breastplate of righteousness
Allowing health happiness and good fortune
To make its way into our lives

Giving us a helmet of salvation
So we can be saved and redeemed
Throughout our duration
Of our time here in his creation
Learning and cultivating in his ways

Providing his mighty sword for our protection
Against satan's demons and warlords
When we put Gods armor on every day
We ensure satan will never take our soul away

Because we keep our faith and give God our trust
So all satans plans will be reduced to dust
Loving God is always a must
To stay far away from Satan's lust
Everything he promises is a bust
God is our moral crust
Whom we should never distrust

This Spiritual Armor

My physical armor lays in decay and waste-
Death's bitter aroma has filled this place.

Only memories exist of battles won-
To conduct my duties, until all is done.

Never to retreat, surrender or run in fear-
Rather to stand firm and know that God is near.

So do not put faith in armor made by man-
Instead use the spiritual armor,
provided by God's hand.

Truth is a part of our armor of God
It needs to always be with us,
A constant source of good within,
Leading us to be who He intends.

Righteousness is a part of our armor
God’s grace gives us the opportunity
To be filled with good things that He gives
To those who are filled with His Holy Spirit

Peace is a part of our armor of God
It helps us to meet trials with a tranquility
That shows others God is with us inside
Giving us reassurance and spiritual insight

Faith is a part of our armor of God
It is the answer when we can’t even pray
Filling us with assurance that we have grace
That saves to the utmost, forever we’re saved

The helmet of salvation is a part of our armor
Reminding us just why we have this joy within
Leading us through trials, worries and sorrow
Toward brighter moments with Jesus beside us

The word of God is a part of our armor of God
The Bible is called the good book for a reason
It gives us all the wisdom we could hope for
There on those pages, we find every answer

Prayer is another part of the armor of God
Without it we wouldn’t have the relationship to Him
Where we can go to Him as a child to a Father
Asking for anything and knowing He will answer

Put on the full armor of God each day
And there isn’t any doubt that He will guide
You along your way, filling your life with
Hope, faith and love that is from His hand

Each day we need our armor for the fight,
to wage the battle from daybreak to night ~
protection to wield.

The struggle is against not flesh and blood
but evil forces; enemies of God
souls, the battlefield.

The belt of truth fastened, the strong breastplate
of godliness, gospel boots laced up straight ~
faith, our robust shield.

Wearing the helmet of his saving grace,
God's Word, the two-edged sword ready in place ~
His wisdom revealed.

Dark days are coming; pray and do not fear.
God's armor helps his people persevere ~
Satan's fate is sealed.

The Cracked Armor

She wore a whole suit of armor around her heart and soul that nobody could come through to cause her fear, suffering, and pain, she wouldn't have it let alone permit it to happen so she never let people see to the heart of her soul.
She first started wearing the suit of armor as a child, she continued to keep it polished and strong all of these years it had worked like a charm. Family, and friends all thought they knew her heart, soul, thoughts, and feelings.
But the truth of the matter is nobody really knew her at all, they were just trying to tell her how to think and feel because they thought they were so smart. She thought it was funny at how they assumed that they knew her when in truth they didn't, all thanks to her polished strong suit of armor that she wore.
She believed with her whole heart and soul that nobody would ever come past her polished strong suit of armor that she wore, she found out just how naive she really was one day.
It just wasn't anybody no this person was the only person who has always had her heart from their very first meeting of each other, she continued to try and keep her suit of armor polished and strong even though she was with her love.
But to her greatest surprise and dismay, she didn't notice anything wrong until it was way too late, her love had already put a crack in her polished strong suit of armor that she wore to protect herself with. No matter how much she tried she couldn't fix the crack in her polished strong suit of armor that she wore, the damage was already done and her love had already seen through to her heart and soul.

Premium Member DELIVER ME

So deep in sin, I turned away
The skies above were darkest Grey
Then I repent on bended knee
And Jesus Christ delivered me

A rainbow shone, the clouds rolled back
He set my feet on the right track
I'll forgive for he forgave me
And Jesus Christ delivered me

Then, lo, one day again I fell
An open door to evil hell
Truth of this He made me to see
And Jesus Christ delivered me

Don't get comfortable with sin
You are welcoming devils in
Obeying Thy God gives you a key
And Jesus can deliver thee

Salvation from death we obtain
But open doors let in the rain
So, light of God you cannot see
But Jesus can deliver thee

All power and strength, there's no shame
When you cry out in Jesus name
Resist the devil, he must flee
Jesus, the Lord delivers me

Ephesians six will document
The armor of God, it's intent
Wear it for the whole world to see
How Jesus can deliver thee

The helmet of His salvation
The first step in this race we run
Protection from Satan's deceit
Yes Jesus will deliver thee

When all my sins I do confess
I'm covered in his righteousness
Sinless Christ nailed them to the tree
None but He could deliver me

No shin guards, flexibility
So we can pray on bended knee
Humble ourselves unto the King
The King of Kings deliver thee

A hunger for the word of God
With the gospel my feet are shod
I'll be prepared to preach God's peace
So Jesus can deliver thee

With truth My loins are girt about
All life flows from the river's mouth
The truth will set me free indeed
And Jesus Christ delivered me

Take up the shield of ancient faith
Trust in the promises God saith
Satan's darts of fire miss me
Each time Jesus delivers me

The Bible is a two edged sword
Father will always keep his word
I draw it shining, from it's sheath
This Word made flesh deliver thee

Put On the Full Armor of God

Put On The Full Armor of God

“12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Eph 6:12-17 NIV

Put On The Full Armor of God,
So you can stand against the Devil’s schemes.
Our struggle’s not against flesh and blood,
That on the surface seems.
It’s against the powers of darkness
And the Spiritual forces of evil,
So Put On The Full Armor of God
To protect you from the Devil.

Buckle the belt of truth
Right around your waist.
Guard yourself with the breastplate of righteousness,
By your heavenly Father placed.
Adopt the gospel of peace and love,
And take up faith’s shield,
So you can extinguish the evil one’s arrows—
Never more to yield.

Put on the helmet of salvation,
And place your sword by your side.
The sword of the Spirit is God’s word,
That provides you power inside.
Pray in the Spirit continually—
Your armor to protect.
Be alert and pray for all the saints,
That they may be circumspect.

The Full Armor of God is essential
To protect you from the unseen foe.
Make sure you wear it continually,
Whatever you do or wherever you go.
You are the Lord’s ambassador,
So be fearless in your armor.
Allow the Lord to fight your battles,
And He will show you favor.

The Warrior Without Armor

There is a fire in my soul.
I realize that I, along with time, will soon die
But i quiver with fear at the sight of pain
And i cover my ears to the sound of agony
I am not a warrior
My fire is easy to deplete.
My battle scars are numerous,
and my victories few.
My mind reaches new levels of anxiety when I think of the clock
Ticking. Ticking. Ticking.
The ticking will soon stop.
The batteries soon to be depleted.
The fire will soon burn out
Or it will be washed with torment and sorrows.
I want the sounds to go away.
I want the endless talking in my head to cease.
I do not know how to end it.
Not the time, but the pain.
I want more time.
I am greedy,
or at least my head keeps telling me so.
I do not know how to end it.
The endless talking.
The endless whispering.
The endless madness.
I just want it to end.
It to en-

(Rhyme)

I've never before seen or heard anything about you
But then one day you just appeared and came into my life just as you are
I'd dreamed so much of you and I was so glad that you were with me here
Stil is so hard at times to believe that you'd found me and that now you are so near me.

I want to keep you all the time in my life and forever
Some say that dreams can come true and I now know is true
And no matter what together we make it thru everything whatsoever
You fill my days of rainbows sometimes and make all my days less blue.

When I think of you my Love I can't help but to love you
And when I see you I just want you to be mine all the time too
Your love ignites all my desires and in my heart I just love you more and more
You are my Knight in Shinning Armor, and with you my Love,my dreams can come true.

Premium Member Chinks In the Armor: a Collaboration

Why do you tempt me with mischievous eyes
Playful and naughty; do they tell or dare?
Are you an angel, devil in disguise,
Should I be trustful, or should I beware?

Why do you tempt me with a winsome smile
Not all-revealing, but denoting more.
Chinks in my armour ... should I stay awhile?
Fatal attraction which I can’t ignore.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, stay awhile and find out what you will
My eyes reveal the pleasures that await
Take off that armor if you want this thrill
You know your hunger only I can sate
So take a risk, and bare to me your all
If angel or if demon, do you care?
Into my searing arms you’re meant to fall
Now take a step, move forward, if you dare!
