Premium Member If Only You Knew

Withered meadows of yesteryears ache, recalling memories forlorn,
As discords of then mourn, assailing vibes of now, emotions torn;
Yet I believe, love would have still vouched~ together we belong,
If only you knew, how to strum, sensuous rhythms of our love-song.

Gracing my embrace, lovingly you caress, my jilted sleepless night,
And on every dawning horizon, you still are, the halo of my delight;
As I believe, episode of love, would always write a lovesome theme,
If only you knew, you have long been, epitome of my romantic dream.

You bedazzle my memory, beaming grin of an enamored glance,
Being my Cinderella, avowing to rekindle fairy-tale of romance;
As I believe, you would still be the music, pulses-cadent impart,
If only you knew, you are the seductress, plucking strings of my heart.

In realms of desires, chasing bliss of your love, my passions call-out,
When you are in amorous cuddle, hypnotized by grip of fervent clout;
As earnestly I believe, you would love me still, even from miles afar,
If only you knew, you have been my aura, my fulgent northern-star.

Birds that always sung for you, serenade you, lauding your name,
Spurred by fond recollections, applauding memoirs of love’s acclaim;
And I believe, words unsaid would not be uttering, a sigh of regret,
If only you knew, love we shared, pledges eternal shall never forget.

Premium Member These Arms Long To Hold You

Sensuous allures float in pulchritude of white swan
Upon your lotus pond, arousing visions of romance
As I see you there where pink blossoms dance
And kiss your presence in ambiance of golden dawn.

Nary a cloud foreshadows my blue sky of tomorrow
As primrose emotions evoke blossoms of meadows;
In emerald green terrain, there are no dark shadows
For memories of yesteryear bear no hints of sorrow.

You entice ruby moods applauding crimson hues
Cheering for our love in chrysanthemum flowers,
Bright red tulips, soft pink roses, and spring rain showers
As ode of desires muses love-verses you schmooze.

And you sparkle gemstones from prisms of tinted dew
Igniting passions within whiffs of scented breeze
Caressing my wishes in embrace of seductive tease,
Instinctively aware: how these arms long to hold you!

Premium Member Whose Memories Are These

Whose voices, whose memories are these
That warble in trees, exalting my breeze
Applauding the daybreak's cerulean grin
Where amber ocher designs are floating in

Is that your echo from the cobalt blue sky
Wondering aloud about dawn's tepid sigh
As the morning evoked destiny's knowhow
And birdsongs lauded the blessings of now

When rays of romance in day's golden start
Painted my vistas, charming your heart
A smile you adorned on the saddles of arc
Reminiscent of the past, igniting my spark

I recognize the appeal your passions reveal
In intimate presence that meadows feel--
From way back when in allure of moonlight
Sensuous lips we kissed of an indelible night

Though it was love, it was never expressed
And those feelings afire never got blessed
So they arise to voice what could have been
Augmenting the dialogue of battles within

Premium Member A Twisted Tale -Jane's Jewel-

Mardi Gras "The Medieval Story"

On a hot, heavy night in Orleans,
Joan and Jane were seen rubbing chest on chest
An inviting, intimate moment, to undress
Two pretty trimmed tops, eating like dames
They touched in ways, that drove those who make war insane
The secret spilled before the sun sprawled across the floor

Medieval England, banging on iron set doors,
All around men and women, wanting to witness the whiplash
Beads and beads of love, thrown at their feet
Joan' and Jane', having fun in front of, yesterdays courtyard
Sweet acts of flagellation were performed to stimulate the crowd
Screaming, and receiving, intense, brutal lacerations
In the eyes of endless nudity, everything wet in between
Left to right, a secluded society, dance in masquerade
Two men rise and ravage Jane, from hip to hip
Join-in, was a Jouster, and Lord Johnsburg,
They came in a little closer to claim, Joan
Closing, and inflicting as much damage as possible

Crestfallen forces of the unknown, -the audience grows
Remain firm and indulge this wet period of the Middle Ages,

The first crusade held stones in each hand,
Applauding to neck the beauty of friends
A noose hanging high held no head on this day
Yelling to feel the pain perils of anguish,
This was in reality the vassal of Jane
The King, ask to see them on their knees
Before he seeded, sending the Spanish tickler,
Fetching for the finest skin
At her end, Joan, watched Jane, spread like never before
Perfumed skin, rising up in smoke, -Joan's final stroke
Left burning at the Stake, In a Medieval World, from hell
The Siege of Joan and Jane did not end well

A lonely Bard, now sits and sings a sadistic tale,
A tale, of dirty deeds, -a dancing bloody masquerade
Joan and Jane, compensating for the Mardi Gras Parade

Premium Member Snow White

Oh darling you have become an angel sweetheart blossoming regal crowns
one flake unique floating into dreams so beautiful they sing only you

Pure petal wings flutter dressed in the color of snow purest kiss of beauty
They dance particles ice inside warm love melts shining into the purest thoughts

A faraway star winking in the night sky neon grasps breathless
Confetti crystals falling sprinkles gently laying a carpet upon the ground

Whom embraces the outer body sweetly enchants I open four chambers
holding all keys out applauding flutters skipping echo pops each beat

My queen warmly holds hands with the soul grace of a thousand swans in flight
Once bitten twice shy one kiss from you smitten I would say smiling overjoyed

I will always smile in loves amazing grace in soft gentle tenderness the joy it brings
Wishing that one was holding you right now footsteps in deep sand begins touching

Wow mirror, mirror what a dream baby who blew one out off this world spinning
you're so beautiful smiling these eyes dazzling mirror reflections blinding

Premium Member A Poem Unlived

A poem unlived
is a poem merely written --

sustenance our words

let the body digest with heartfelt
regurgitation – a poem unlived
is a poem merely written

as well as tasty center, a healthy chew
needs skin-like peachy, tickly sensation,
emotive mastication – best often
lost when discarding fussy peelings

also feelings

a poem unlived is a poem merely written

endless editing...crumblings tossed
our salads before the main course
heavily garnished

each poem with a dipping
thread link – we warm at
the lava lip...deep, glowing
convulsing start, long before the page is stirred,
shaken – ready for bubbly tip

a poem unlived is a poem merely written

the sea we sail both tranquil and rage

creation an unkempt voyage of possibilities,
a nameless work rocks back and forth
cradled it longs to escape wild fluctuation

and transverse,

seeking theme and form – sanguine
transfusion, repetitively jabbing for fluid release

we call upon the mariner, captain, surgeon of
ancient crafts -- muse of many incarnations,

sage, fool of countless courts – both wallflower
and dancer – homebody and restless prancer, where
we have been and yet beam
to go – uniquely fermented we uncork
for a spotlight blow, for grand revelation
introduced with a toast, a click, a sparkly
crystal glow

staging both our fond darkness and
light – an author preparing to take
literary flight

a poem unlived
is a poem merely written --

like stopped midstream
without a river flow, banks
turned away
tepidly applauding….

A stagnant sip before the
moved-by lauding….

Though poetically smitten
dearly kittened
a poem unlived

is a poem merely written...

Premium Member Super Bowl Day

They're playing in the bowl tomorrow
and we are so very proud.
We Seahawk fans are loyal
and also very loud.
We'll be settled by our TV sets
before the game begins.
We'll stay for the fifth quarter
no matter which side wins.
I'm thinking of my men folks
who had cheered them through the years.
Are they watching them from Heaven
and applauding with loud cheers?

The Seahawk's franchise was formed
back in Nineteen Seventy-Six.
My husband and four brothers
would yell like lunatics
when the Seahawks added to their score
And it seemed as though they'd win.
I would look at them all yelling
and would shudder at the din.

Then when my son was older,
he joined that happy crew.
I threw in the towel and recognized
I would have to join them too.
They taught me all about first downs
and field goals and touch downs also
and many of the games intricacies
that a good fan needs to know.

My husband and my brothers
and even my loved son
have all gone on before before me
Their cheering on Earth is done.
I wish that they could be here
to see their loved team play.
Daughters and grandchildren will cheer with me
tomorrow on Super Bowl Day.

Premium Member Caretakers of Your Heart

Friends, like candles, enable you to see
personal faults, through sympathetic eyes,
and never flicker, should you disagree.

Even subjected to the third degree:
standing steadfast, they will not compromise:
friends, like candles, enable you to see.

Offering unflinching friendship for free,
friends, rejuvenate and revitalize:
and never flicker, should you disagree.

Applauding your accomplishments with glee:
although others tend to trivialize:
friends, like candles, enable you to see.

Caretakers of your heart, they hold the key
to unlock the virtues they recognize:
and never flicker should you disagree.

Pushing you to be all that you can be:
they even defend your outrageous lies.
Friends, like candles, enable you to see:
and never flicker should you disagree.

Premium Member I Tasted Summer

I tasted summer…
It sure tasted good
I was dying for a sip
Of my iced coffee CHINO
Only in Cyprus…
My drug of choice
Crushed ice with sweetened coffee
OH....YES!
In the evenings
succulent watermelon treats
Eating it all with relish
Even the seeds
what greed!

I tasted summer…
In that first dive into the pool
How cool!
Immersed in liquid delight
Open eyes
I touched the bottom of the pool
Two dolphins painted there
Let me have my way...
I did a handstand
Legs pointed straight up into the air
The water running down my legs
Straight up....I held on

Weightless
Weightless
In my element
My hair flowing around me
As I did my strokes
Diving in and out of the water
A fish…
That's how I got described
by the one who watched,
"Your so agile"

Such exuberance
I thought…OH…this is better...
Better that a sensual high
There was I
Gliding in and out
Water above, below, all around
Carrying me
Splashing around me
loving me
Playing...playing with my hair
Saturating my soul
With giddiness

Muted sound
Below the surface
I swim underwater
The width of the pool
I thrust up for air
Water slides off my body
The sun kisses me
Applauding the feat
I taste summer
It sure tastes good

Salty scent in my hair
My body slathered in sunscreen
Sand clinging to me
The beach
My sensing feasting
On every single thing...
My eyes delighted

A small September crowd
Enjoys the breeze
that creates the waves
I wade into the water
Intake of breath
I squeal
It's refreshingly cold
The water laps at my legs
crawling further and further up
Making me gasp
Finally....
I submerge
I laugh

I dive into the waves
One by one
I play...
I push myself high
My face to the shore
They pound on my back
I take a deep breath and let them roll over me
Enjoying the roughness
That "out of control" feeling
This is greater than me

And then
I lie back
I float
Blue above
White puffs: baby angel breath clouds
I let the sun ravish
The water carries me
I forget everything
My mind blank like the blue sky
There is nothing but the NOW
NOW
And there am I
Tasting summer
Salty and sweet
September treat
And happy
Oh, so, happy, am, I!

Premium Member Yearn Not For the Ships That Sailed

Applauding sun’s halo~ inspiring, rewarding,
Mindfully I rise with the ebullient awakening
Letting soul enliven while robins are singing
And horizon crimson glimmers in dawning.

I hold time still for the blossoms of spring,
Rivers that burble sprucing green prairies
And blue tides bouncing summer’s revelry
And resplendent dazzle of autumnal leaves.

Every memento of love I treasure in delight,
In embrace of family, I cheer life sublime
Rejoicing when I sense success in their eyes
Celebrating milestones of things done right.

Realizing I own a mere fraction of eternity
Elated I feel holding just a speck of infinity
Succeeding more often than failing or quitting
Coping resolutely with poor hand of destiny.

I shun nightmares, choosing dreams of night
Lifting troubled mind when grief occupies,
When darkness rules, I invoke moonlit skies
And paint on visage of hope blissful smiles.

I yearn not for the ships that already sailed,
Regret not having tried the conquests I failed,
But I chase prospects of aspirations deferred
Yet, remain focused on things that matter.

From a Classroom

From a classroom,
       illuminating our tomorrows -
with a stick of chalk, you bring art
and insight to curious minds.
Magically, you light sparks.
You humbly stand, sharing your skills,
giving your wisdom, shining in a dark sky.
Your words, your truths, your gifts to impart -
your calling is what burns from within.
This compassion in action glows in your instruction.
A school room is your bright canvas.
As you brush colors onto a thirsty world,
thirsty for flowing thoughts and words,
you fill a hollow with imagination,
an inward growth of wisdom and possibility.
Youthful minds and spirits gain from
your passions, books from your library,
your contributions, and your nurturing soul.
Inspiring to climb mountains, applauding
as pupils soar into starlight, you draw upon
a youthful longing for a distant light and all
that is raw, diamonds sparkling, gliding, rising within
asking, “why”, asking “how”, pulling you in again and again
to show a path forward, not clipping what grows wild.

Premium Member Night's Dark Embrace

Evil thrives within the Night's embrace;
allowing no one to see its face.
And phantoms of the Night clap with joy
applauding the tricks demons employ.

Stolen within the shadows of Night,
a vampire's first kiss starts with a bite.
And as darkness treads the edge of time,
desire and eternity combine.

Two immortal hearts, beating as one;
merge within the eclipse of the sun.
Consummating their union with blood;
souls drown in an emotional flood.

Sweet Ecstasy, distilled from the dark;
quenches, dark desires, naked and stark.
And befitting creatures of the Night;
silhouettes morph into bats in flight.

Premium Member Lightning

In the grand theatre
Opening in the Heaven,s
Drifting across the sky,
cloaked in darkness

Whistling unseen voices
Darkened within rage,
nature's forces
At work
Rising wind salute

In static
hair raising
Falling down the spine
Banging drums
Growling almighty roars

Grumbling unforeseen forces
Churning in its might,
an earth shattering clap
Applauding trees bend
Wind blowing gale

Lighting up dark
Bowing to light
In strike daylight
Unmerciful power

Battle in darkened clouds
Alight candy floss
Falling rain crystals
In sparkling diamonds
Lightning strikes

As the thunder roars
Frightening night
Rumbling drum beats
Upon nature's might
You strike

Taking the limelight haunting shadows away warmly beauty invades space held

Premium Member Praise Him Through the Storm

Slowly and silently, keeping time with the raindrops
I open my petals to whisper a soft, sweet melody
Of insight into the Creator’s inspiration for my purity
My life’s blood is streaked with clarity and compassion
Coloring me in hues of crimson, amber and lemon yellow

Daily, I open each trembling flower to a delicate sunlight
Enlightening the dawn with a beautiful array of enchantment
Breathing whimsical order in the fashion of petals that grace
Each spectator with feelings of appreciation for my powerful
Presence, my fragility shadowed with dreams and passions

Graciously, I lift up my head toward the morning rainstorm
Feeling drenching showers pour across my spirit’s essence
Creating a melancholy that breeds illuminations of sorrow
Which soon turns into a sweet harbinger of tomorrow’s glory
Delicious sentiments of what will soon be the praise of God

Applauding Him with my fingers of illusive discernments
Honoring Him with my faint hints of vitality in emotion
Acclaiming Him as the world’s most glorious designer
Admiring Him for all that He’s given to His creation
Praising Him with every part of my peaceful spirit, eternally.

I am the flower that rises above my loss of life and limb
To the joy of knowing that through existing I am filled with
Compassion and praise that fills up this dismal land called earth
With true expressions of kindness and charity that is known
To be the way to God’s heart, where I hope to always go!
