Caretakers of Your Heart

Friends and family allow you to see
your strengths and faults, through sympathetic eyes;
and never waver, should you disagree.

Even subjected to the third degree;
standing steadfast, they will not compromise:
friends and family allow you to see

Offering unflinching support for free,
they rejuvenate and revitalize:
and never waver, should you disagree.

They applaud your accomplishments with glee,
things that others tend to trivialize:
friends and family allow you to see.

Caretakers of your heart, they hold the key,
to unlock the virtues they recognize:
and never waver, should you disagree.

Pushing you to be all that you can be,
they even defend your outrageous lies.
Friends and family allow you to see,
and never waver, should you disagree.
