CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS
Christmas stockings hung neatly in a row
The fire is casting a warm, cheery glow
The tree has now been trimmed to perfection
I sit here relaxed in great reflection
The number of stockings has grown o'er the years
Children and grandchildren added with joyful tears
No longer do they just read Dad and Mom
There's Rachel, Christy, Ginger, and Jon
There's Dwayne and Rob, Jason and Carra
Stephen, Corinne, Liam and Lanna
And then there's Aiden, but he's not the last
'Cause Carra's tummy is expanding real fast
Stockings for the pets are included in it all
They've been part of the family since they were small
But the most important stocking that you will see
Is for Baby Jesus – it's hung on the tree
It's there to remind us of His fateful plight
Death on a cross – He died without fight
His stocking is empty – as is His grave
Because it is we He died to save
So when you hang all your stockings, include Him
Then Christmas will be more joyful, and never grim
And we'll be ever mindful that Jesus is the reason
That we thankfully celebrate each Christmas season

No matter who he would marry, his heart belonged to Carrie
Her romance with Aiden could'nt keep them apart
Big already had her heart
It was almost like a forbidden love
The kind one tries to rid themselves of
Their love stood through the test of time
Lingering on in the backs of their minds
The love was so strong, they couldn't ignore
They came together on the penhouse floor
One more hurdle they must get over
He only wanted her, his friend, his lover
He lost his nerve at the thought of the crowd
The girls took the honeymoon, as they enjoyed it out loud
Big knew for months what he must do
get to that courthouse and say I do.

Soul Mates
Big and Carrie sex and the city
Silently
I smile I lick my lips as I watch him enter the cafe
He looks back at me are eyes meet for a second that seems to stretch on forever
His crystal blue eyes entrance me
I take a sip of my latte
He hesitates but comes over
I've seen him in here before
He sits at the table across from me
Sexual desire crosses our minds
He works up the courage to talk to me
I lite up a cigarette
Is this seat taken he asks
I give him a flirtatious smile
No I reply
He sits down
I couldn't help but notice how pretty you are he says to me
I smile
What's your name love he asks
Ashley I tell him
I'm aiden he says
Do you want to get out of her I ask him
Were to he says
The stars I reply
And so our love affair begins
With a kiss that makes my whole body tingle
As soon as I could feel you move
I knew that you could dance
We labored for a name for you
The distinction wasn't by chance
We bought you toys to fill your days
We bought you clothes and planned your room
We read you books and sang you songs
While you were still within my womb
Then cursed fates were meant to be
Your fluid home was washed away
And even though we wept and prayed
You were born to us that day
Heavens angels awaited you
You came into our world
Dancing to a tune only you could hear
My love for you unfurled
We named you Aiden Carter
Spitfire was your name
You fought a battle brave and true
But you lost it just the same.
You await us on the other side
A shoreline too far for us to see
Departed family holds you safe
Until our souls are also free
Dedicated to my son and daughter-in-law

Eve and Aiden, both 16, gave in to temptation to try the "hug drug."
Cuddling and kissing ceased when she succumbed to the drug,
Suffering an unusually bizarre reaction--just shy of death.
Two weeks later, unharmed by the drug but guilt-ridden,
Aiden sat by her hospital bed staring at the murmuring machines,
Silently praying for her recovery and for forgiveness. Eve and Aiden--
Young virgins who took a foolhardy risk to satisfy curiosity!
Christopher Black: with his big back-pack.
Liam Short; ironically he was.
Aiden Craven: his names almost matched
Simon Pal - and he was a pal!
Stuart Grove; didn't know him much
Matthew Huss; he sat on the opposite side to us
Adam Ponder, who used to wonder,
Terry King, the class-clown
Eddy Wilkinson, the deputy clown
Should all be friends for life...
Christmas trees are green

- AIDEN.A age 9
It was the end of 2013 when I got a phone call from my Mother,
My Mother and I didn’t live together,
Because she ran away when things got difficult,
She said that my beloved Grandmother was ill.
She said Nanna may not survive the night , and she knew
How much I loved her and would want to see her one last time.
I went to the hospital and held back tears.
Nanna looked so frail and fragile. Her skin was like a leaf.
“Hey Nan what’s happening?” I said stupidly.
“Hello Aiden, is that you, I can’t see very well,
How are you darling. You sure have grown.
Time slowed down and we chatted about the weather.
For some reason I stopped being an idiot for a second
And realised I didn’t really know this old lady who gave me life.
So I asked her about her life.
She pointed with a tiny hand to her luggage.
Inside I found a photo album, I had never seen before.
She had trouble turning the pages so I held the book for her.
Wow Nan these photos are amazing. Who are these people?
There were men in uniforms and ladies waving them goodbye.
There was a photograph of children running down the street.
There was a little girl with ice-cream all over her face.
There was a man washing an old Ford Buick .
Next to him was this beautiful women in a bathing suit, keeping cool.
“Wow Nan who was that bathing Beauty?”
She didn’t answer me and just closed her eyes.
Perhaps I’ll never know.

to the Academy they did apponte
Every lively landscape and tree were stripped
by fierce winter of their verdant, elegant dress:
and while they are naked and grieving amid
rainfall and fog: they still wish for sunny days!
Everything loses its beauty, it's the harshest reality;
kids stay inside, today there's no school: it's a holiday!
And they sadly look outside hoping for a break in clouds,
grandmother feeds them cookies to liven up their moods!
Even Andy, the young poet, feels the melancholy of a winter so bleak;
he has lived through those frigid winters writing a darker narrative;
He asks himself, " Do trees have the same feelings, can they speak?"
He struggles to come to a definite answer hypothetically imperative!
And boring afternoons drag to let sunlight linger an hour longer,
sleep won't come easily without the presence of remote stars;
kids play videos and their spirit is invaded by terrifying monsters:
granny comes running, bringing warm milk to ease their fear!
Finally, something wonderful happens: an arch appears
over the branches of the fir trees," It's a lovely rainbow! "
Aiden and Molly run and stare out of the dripping window
as grandmom stands by them, while they cry joyful tears!
