Premium Member Being Accepted As I Am

Having lived my own life
lessons you learn through time
ones that count for life
to forget would be a crime

Stammered every day since birth
enduring it all incredibly tough
but better things around my corner
believing it could be enough

One day God broke through
revealing His love in His blessed son
who had died for all my sins
to indwell me shows salvation's done

This God assured me of one thing
He accepted me just as I am
nothing I bring just to Jesus cling
this truth eternally brings me calm

(I have written this to pass on the main life lesson I've learned throughout my life that this has kept me calm and how to live in the forward direction.)

She prayed, 'Oh now I lay me down to sleep...'
Though these familiar words scarce passed her lips,
She sighed, 'I pray the Lord my soul to take.'
Embraced God's poem of lunar eclipse.

She thought, 'My room's width - twelve lovely dresses,
The height of my sky is a bluebird’s flight,
The depth of my ocean just one deep breath,
But vision’s boundaries are my mind’s sight.'

'Let me welcome my death as I have life,
Knowing where I am is where I belong,
Say farewell to my soul’s earthly temple,
My music yield to a heavenly song.'

'Loved ones…! Please don’t shower me with flowers,
Or let me die with senses dulled to pain,
See your gentle hearts are my protection………
Oh God….! You’re here! My tears feel just like rain . . . . . .! '

Challenge Accepted

Consonants and vowels are coming one by one,
rules are rules and we are following all those
only poetry is suffering a bit I think
although this is sure a challenge
and poets are quite eager to accept this,
as challenge is life everybody knows
and meeting it brings a satisfaction,
only keep in mind one thing
unshackle poetry and free it like a bird,
our poeticity is beyond any rules,
imagination never obey laws or rules....
although my immediate target is finding
a word of vowel and bid adieu!

Apology Accepted

Trying to say
I am sorry
takes every fibre in my being to new levels.

I cannot fathom out
the uncontrollable hurt
and sense of loss
that
burns within me...

Sorry -
a shallow grave of vocabulary,
a sham of emotion
but how can I prove
that all I say is honest
and true,
that all I feel is what I do...

Love, caring, doldrums of hopelessness?
What acidic retort will I get in return?

Probably a shoulder of ice,
a frozen relic of the past -
ignorance and foolish pride...

Whatever you do,
I don't mind
because
at least I would have been a man...
and said I am sorry!

Apology Accepted

Fill me with lies
No goodbyes
Kill me with sorrow
No tomorrow
Break me with words
This is absurd
Drown me with hate
Is it too late?
To apologize...to apologize
Look me in the eyes...
And apologize...
You will never understand me
And you’re never going to find me
You took a part of me
That didn't belong to you
Well, live with what you got
I have nothing more to lose
Leave me here to rot
I have nothing more to lose
And if i do...
The only thing I'm losing is you...
So fill me with lies
Say your goodbyes
Shoot me with sorrow
There's always tomorrow
Your words can't break me
Your hate can't drown me
Look me in the eyes
You absurd man
It's never too late
To apologize...

Apology Accepted

I was an idiot
I'm sorry.

Yes, you're right,
let's burn your hair off.

Premium Member My Lovers: One Accepted One Not

My lover, she melts me, like a frog on a lily,
Watching the days pass hurriedly by.
I lay there, hands cradling my head just gazing,
Peering up through the clouds in the sky.

My lover, she walks beside me, with pride, with swank,
Announcing a love that’s purely in fashion.
Walking the streets, satisfied with each stride,
Graciously holding ourselves with our passion.

My lover, he’s private, hidden away from the lily,
No laying, no watching up through the blue.
No being seen down town, holding hands, being close,
Our desire’s a conventional taboo.

My lovers, they hold me when I wish, when I long,
When my body secretly wants hands which raise.
I wish this town would invite and accept,
Instead of sinning our yearn, from words learnt on Sundays.

Accepted Orange Peanut

I will be the orange peanut of your heart!
The shell of all limits shall break apart!
In unity of marriage we shall work together!
Peanut and human, together forevaaah!

-Dedicated to my best friend, Rebecca Larkin,
Always, your very nutty friend,

The Addiction Of Being Accepted

There is an addiction to being accepted
We all fall victim with the lies we tell
The skeletons we hide
This dopamine hit is what we crave
It dictates our every move
Every pawn is different
It's that drug we crave to fix it
To make you see all the more when there is really less
Could be a trauma could be a need to be important
Could be the need to escape
We all portray something different in every place we are
With every hat we wear a different complextion of who we are
We all create the fixations the way we handle this drug
How authentic we are or how scared we really are
This addiction becomes a mask a place to hide
Its the truth in all our lies
Many of you may disagree
But do many of us really know who the other person is
In a world dominated by technogly
How do we grow out of this need to make ourselves look more perfect then we are
This social media drug that makes us feel perfectly at ease
The tik toks of today make it so easy to be blinded
The facebooks of tomorrow promise a story
But whose story is really being told.
As i contemplate these thoughts
I'll post another update of how my life is truly not.
A show for you all to bask in a made up imagination of a broken child do to the addiction of being accepted

Longing To Be Accepted

It’s inevitable
I try and I try but nothing changes
Constantly regretting that I never realized
I will always be me
But now it’s too late
For the things I’ve done
And to the friendships deceived
Have scarred my existence
Reminding me of a obstinate time
When I didn’t realize
I will always to be me

I'M So Glad the Lord Accepted Me

I’m So Glad The Lord Accepted Me!

I’m so glad the lord accepted me!
I look forward to being
with him for eternity!

I’m so glad that the lord found me!
Each day now…
His love surrounds me!

I’m so glad that the lord
didn’t :”pass me by!”
He gives living waters that satisfy!

I’m so glad for everything
that he has done!
Al praise and honor to
God’s anointed son!

I’m so grateful for the lord that I am his!
Hallelujah! I’m thankful for the
 new life he gives!

I’m so thankful to the Lord
for the life he gave!
There’s nothing that gave me…
I would trade!

I’m so joyful in the lord
for his love divine!
He is here now and will be
with me throughout time!

I’m excited for what the lord
is going to do!
This same lord is here today…
And can be YOURS too!

I Want To Be Free

I've always yearned to be free,
Free in my mind,
Free in my soul,
Free in my heart,
Just free.

I remember a moment in Venice,
Strolling along,
Sun setting,
In the distance, people dancing,
Music playing,
Those people were free.

I found myself drifting away,
Towards the crowd,
And I joined,
Arms open, dancing,
Just dancing,
Eyes closed,
Moving my body in pure freedom.

I was free,
Soaring higher into the sky,
With the birds,
Lost within myself,
Carefree,
Just free.

I want to be free,
I want my mind to explore the unknown,
I don't want to sink into a comatose state,
But that's what they expect,
Quiet,
Calm,
Afraid of my thoughts,
Afraid of my freedom,
What are they afraid of?
The fear of being free,
I'm trapped.

I find myself craving solitude,
My words don't connect,
I'm confused,
My dreams are vivid,
They wake me at night, and I fear sleep,
My dreams trouble me,
What's their purpose?
Who am I?
I'm asking myself that question again,
Who am I?

I am Paul,
Or at least, a different version of myself,
I hover somewhere, searching for myself,
Striving to be the free, peaceful person I once was,
My thoughts are draining me,
I want to soar again.

It's been nearly six years,
I went from riches to rags,
I had everything I ever wanted,
Now, I want something else,
But what is it?
How do I find it?
By returning to the world of men?
I don't want that,
I need to get lost once more,
I want to find myself,
But I'm married,
And I have responsibilities to others,
But what about my responsibility to me?
I come first,
But if I put myself first, others are upset,
I have to please everyone,
I have to wear a smile when I'm sad,
I have to be happy when I'm not,
I have to shower when I want to retreat within myself,
I need to be free,
Something to free my mind.

But now I have to work,
More responsibilities I don't desire,
I want to take care of only myself,
Am I selfish?
Sometimes I am, and I believe it's okay,
Why wouldn't it be?
The essence of life is freedom,
Freedom from the trappings of mankind,
Freedom from people,
I want to be alone,
Without the drugs that ensnare me

Un-Accepted

I look in the mirror and all I see
Is a woman I hate to be.

A beautiful face; an ugly body.

Elementry school,
They all thought I was the plague.

Middle school,
They all hated me.

High school,
They made fun of me.

College,
They considered me a nobody.

I look around at smiling faces,

No one knows
The smile on my face is nothing but blank.

I'Ve Bargained and Accepted My Angry Denial Poem

Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance...
The five stages of grief;
It's been a year now and still I've no relief.
I'm still in denial; you did not die.
I still can't accept it, even though I try.
I've tried bargaining,
But the anger is always there;
Depression is my friend,
I pretend not to care.
Acceptance is for fools;
I have no bargaining to spare.
I can't deny my anger,
When acceptance is never there.
