Patradoot or The Messenger29 /Many
English version by Ravindra K Kapoor
Originally written in Hindi by my
Late father Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor
These young boys and girls, were brought up,
By their parents, with great love and affection,
Now they are mad, in love for their motherland,
To show the splendors of their youthful energy.
They are ready even to sacrifice their heads,
What to say of body pains and tortures inflicted on them,
By seeing such fearlessness and energy of their youth,
Even the enemy gets ashamed of, dear letter.
Triloki was one of these young boys,
Who happily took bullets on his chest, dear letter,
And kept on moving ahead without withdrawing,
Keeping the dignity of our nation and Satyagraha.
DESCRIPTION OF MY CITY ALLAHABAD
You will find my beautiful city Allahabad,*
In an ecstasy and full of rapture, flowing in it’s air,
When you will move on its roads and streets,
Along with the Postman, dear letter.

Patradoot in Hindi was originally written by my late father
Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor around 1932, who was a freedom fighter.
He wrote Patradoot in Hindi, when he was kept in Faizabad Jail for quite
a long time. The Epic was written as a gift for my mother and it was
sent to her secretly from Faizabad Jail. He was imprisoned
by the British, as he was fighting for India's freedom
under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. He was imprisoned
many times during 1920 to 1947. After India’s
independence as a true follower of Gandhi Dr. Amar Nath
Kapoor left active politics and devoted rest of his life in
writing easy mass literature and wrote many Dramas,
Poetry books, epics. All his other literary
works were mainly written from 1955 to 1990.
He left this mortal world in 1994.
It's such an old age question
a question asked by every generation
there's wonder in the asking voice
that's filled with mindful fascination
In this gospel of John, it's recorded here
the disciples ask Jesus what they want to know
what was it they had to do? a real work?
Jesus knew the answer this He would show
This work of God, could man do such?
a divine work that only Christ can do
but a sinful man had to find a holy way
one that was spirit filled so divinely true
Jesus revealed the answer so sought
the work of God is for man to believe
on the eternal son of God that was sent
by the father for souls elected to retrieve
The gift to repent of our sin
is given only by God alone
to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
this too divinely given sins to atone
("Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”)
John 6: 28,29 (ESV)
We’ve each been given an extra day,
It happens one year in four.
And we will have to account for it,
When God’s adding up our score.
Will you just waste this precious day,
As so often you have before?
Or will you have spent it wisely
Before sending it out the door?
We’ve each been given an extra page,
On to which to write our name.
And if you leave this page a blank,
You can’t live down the shame.
There are so many lost folks in the world
Who need a guiding hand.
You could be the one to show them
So that they will understand.
One more day to bring God's word.
One more day for a loving touch.
One more day to tell of the Savior
Whom they all need so much.
To please your God when your time comes,
To meet Him face to face,
You should be proud to say you used this day,
To make Earth a better place.
A warning here is given to all
don't refuse the one that speaks
for those on earth did so at their peril
from heaven now warns you He seeks
But God comes with a promise
for in the past, the earth was shook
now He says shaken will be heaven too
all of this comes from God's holy book
What's been said so far indicates
things will be shaken yet once more
that what's been made will be removed
so the rest will stand secure for evermore
Be filled with gratefulness to the Lord
for giving you His kingdom that stands still
unmovable, unshakeable, irresistible
this is our God, lethal sharp-edged sword
Come with reverence and awe
to truly worship this consuming fire
this is God who is eternally divine
from His power, we can always draw
("See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.")

Hindi Title ‘Madan Dahan’ 29
Will You feel contented O’ Lord,
By destroying thine own power,
Created by your own delusion,
Hiding in it, the sweet consciousness.
You have just blessed life, O' Lord,
To my lovely dear husband,
How it will ever prove true,
Ponder over this, O' Almighty God.
The fire of anger is burning,
The form of my poor husband,
How my widowhood can be stopped,
If Your mercy does not protect him Lord.
