Bell Shaped Poems

Premium MemberPearls Of Valor

A string of summer days strung like pearls of valor
it is hard to be sad when the sun appears like a coin
dazzling us inside a bright blue sky, like an orator

Decorative fragrant white flowers, lily of the valley
sweetly scented bell shaped beauties that grow
in the meadows, what fragrant Grace we tally !

Nothing gold can stay or so they say, but whos to say
if you string up one happy moment ...
those pearls of valor will surely take your breath away.

In Marked Territory

Fragile, delicate, beautiful thus rare
Three thousand meters above sea
In marked territory, listening to
Gurgling downward flow of
Waters of the sacred hill
A precious bloom stays
in the shades of tall trees.

A three feet high plant
Shy of sunlight,
Shy of plundering human hands
Shirui Lily, a pale pink bell-shaped
Flower that carries many tales
Shows rainbow colors
Through Microscopic lens.

Snubbed for being
So very mild, a lily
Not seen elsewhere
Bows gently to tell
Mother earth –
If I ever live
I live only here.

Premium MemberLily-Of-The-Valley

I am quite a peculiar sort,
My fragrant blooming days are short.

My petite petals well bell shaped,
In virgin, pristine white they’re draped.

I’m famed in myths and legends’ scope -
Symbol of happiness and hope.

Disclaimer:
Beware beautiful butterfly,
There’s more to me than meets the eye:
My intense scent however sweet,
Not designed as a nectar treat.

Premium MemberA Stroll through the Garden

I stroll through the garden of delight,
Where fragrant flowers scent the air.
Each one a different hue and sight,
Each one a gift of nature's care.

I breathe in the sweet scent of gardenia,
A melody of citrus-floral blend.
It soothes my soul like a symphonia,
A white blossom, a harmonious friend.

I marvel at the lily of the valley,
A bell-shaped beauty, a graceful sight.
It fills my heart with joy and glee,
A fresh embrace, pure and light.

I inhale the rich scent of jasmine,
An exotic spice, sensual and bold.
It stirs my senses with passion,
A star-shaped flower, a story untold.

I unwind with the soothing scent of lavender,
A herbal balm, calming and mild.
It eases my mind with wonder,
A purple charm, nature's child.

I smile at the romantic scent of rose,
A classic love, floral and bright.
It warms my spirit with its pose,
A red symbol of the dove's flight.

I stroll through the garden of delight,
Where fragrant flowers scent the air.
Each one a different hue and sight,
Each one a gift of nature's care.

Premium MemberGlistening Bells

Trumpet vines, in tangerine and cherry,
Softly whisper to those souls who know –
bell shaped blooms, so bright and merry.

Morning glories in purple, blue and berry,
Delicate beauties perfect as a rainbow,
Trumpet vines, in tangerine and cherry,

Mountain laurels, blushing shy as January,
Colors of pink sigh in their ghostly glow,
bell shaped blooms, so bright and merry.

Lily of the valley, pristine white to marry,
Flowers so gentle, much like the willow.
Trumpet vines, in tangerine and cherry,

Bells of Ireland in green like the military,
Capture the gaze of every calm meadow.
bell shaped blooms, so bright and merry.

Fairy bells, bluebells and foxglove – carry
Their warmth, even melting winter’s snow,
Trumpet vines, in tangerine and cherry,
bell shaped blooms, so bright and merry.

Premium MemberOutlier

It’s
part of
the package, I am
an outlier.  A wise woman
who comes with many Benjamins.

These Benjamins are liable for the obstruction
between me and most men under the bell-shaped curve.
Turning to face this nice headache, I meet the warrior who lives
within-- I am not poor.

A woman’s Financial abundance grows into a barrier in her relationship.
I have to deal with feelings of resistance. Or the danger to fail my worthiness.

I have to reshape my feminine vulnerability; and retain being meritorious and
extraordinary. I have to fight not to be exploited..……..how exhausting!

Freedom of wealth comes with a dare -- I am not poor. Simply
want to feel being taking care of, without requests. Like my
father provides his wife who brings only breadcrumbs
into their long lasting marriage.

Coming from a place of honesty, gratefulness.
Desire for feeling safe and sound, provided
protected.  A conscious marriage
celebrates 30’s anniversary.
A powerful woman
comes with a
gift – I am
worthy

Premium MemberRhododendron

Oh! floriferous, bold, roseate ebullience of May,
Alluring doting sights welcome-vibes you convey
Gracing edges, where the roses and azaleas sway
Forming resplendent ballet of multicolored array;
O rhododendron, flamboyant in euphoric morn,
Flaunting flaming-purple how gardens you adorn
Where hummingbirds frolic and butterflies play
And bell-shaped showy blossoms greet sunny day
As jubilation of spring, breezing your realm serene,
Revels in whorls of petals pristine, as you preen,
Boasting hints amethyst on elegance evergreen
Sprinkling perfumed ambiance on tempo upbeat
Where pulse of romance strums passionate beat
Lauding floriferous display, as if a flower bouquet;
O rhododendron~ roseate, ornate beauty of May!

Premium MemberFragrant Freshness

Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air
as earthy aromas waft 'neath the snow;
and sunlight melts away Winter's despair.

Daffodils contribute color and flare;
and as balmy breezes bashfully blow,
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air.

Snowdrifts dwindle to patches barely there;
and frozen rivers once more start to flow,
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.

Wildflowers start sprouting up everywhere;
and as snowdrops, tulips and crocus grow,
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air

The land no longer looks so bleak and bare;
on tawny trees, green buds begin to show,
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.

A treat to the senses, scented and rare;
bell-shaped lily-of-the-valley hangs low.
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air;
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.

Premium MemberGarden Reflections

With frill-edged petals, in red, white, orange and yellow,
Beauteous daffodils gorgeously gleam and glow;
With long, wide, collaterally aligned leaves stand erect,
Tulips of all colors, as though in beauty so perfect;
Blue urn shaped flowers thrill-filled dancing,
Muscari stands as though glory-glaring;
Nodding with bell-shaped flowers, Lily of the valley,
Stands solemn with its glossy leaves with no folly;
Flowers, indeed, make my spring gloriously great,
My soul, a butterfly midst them, joyfully does elevate;
Their tentativeness, when, my mind alternates,
Rebirth and resurrection, like seeds, in me, germinate...!

Premium MemberHoneybee

If I come to you in summer fields
full of fragrant bell-shaped flowers,
would you fly that I might follow
to watch you dance before your fellows
in floral-edged soliloquy.

With vibrant tempos fundamental
you turn and run and circle 'round,
find vertical inclination
to correlate the invitation
and fly the pathway now revealed -

Then come again to summer fields
full of fragrant bell-shaped flowers.

*****

Note: Honey bees are the only known bee genus that uses nest-based communication to provide nest-mates with information about the location of resources, the so-called “dance language.” Successful foragers perform waggle dances for high quality food sources and, when swarming, suitable nest-sites.

Echo

Echo

A web waves in the warm breeze,
caught between ancient wooden struts,
indefensible, beneath an empty seat.
It splays to breaking point;
fine-knit, like a fibre-glass veil;
delicate strength resisting air.

Behind, purple bell-shaped blooms bow their heads in unison,
deferring to the weight
of a sprinkler’s misty jet,
that fans out in the shape of victory.

But it is not these shimmering droplets
that crystallise quietness;
nor the opaque haze,
as heat warps the scene into film;
it is not even the web, hanging on, precarious,
like angel-hair, suspended,
where even one breath might fracture the whole.

My quiet distils
to single drips
echoing inside a hollow barrel,
like an insistent broken tap
in a sleeping house at midnight,
incessantly filling night’s spaces
until dawn arrives again.

Premium MemberBluebells In Springtime

Emily Bronte makes her mark
speaking of the sweet bluebell
in its power shows its blossom
one can't help but go and tell

Springtime in the UK brings them out
the bluebell has a lovely scent
which hangs in the air so heavily
from bell-shaped flowers heavenly sent

The bluebell symbolises something great
humility, gratitude, constancy and everlasting love
this was loved by the Victorians so much
to them it was a language never enough

Folklore showed about bluebell woods
fairies there we're told would ring
so the fairies would be gathered
whether believing this what would it bring

In the UK there's over half that's in the world
recently the bluebell voted UK's favourite wildflower
so colourful with a lovely shade of blue
feeding on the moisture receives in the morning hour

( have written this piece about the lovely Bluebell that blooms in spring here in the UK.)

Premium MemberIf I Were a Flower

A blossom I’ll be on the wreaths for peace
An offering to deity to feed world’s hungry
I’ll be the garden on every troubled street
Preening as gleefully as exuberant tulips
Swaying with spring in rhythms of daffodils

I’ll be the laudable bouquet of friendship
An emissary of cupid when love is elusive
A gift I’ll be, from souls of dreams romantic
I’ll be the cure when dear-heart is aching
A sensuous rose I’ll be, alluring bride to be

I’ll be sweet smile of expressions in violet
Pleasing smitten hearts on lilac landscapes
Presenting bell-shaped English bluebells
Tenderly in aura of angel’s blessed grace
I’ll be the enlightenment in lotus of solace

Lovingly I’ll answer every call of your will
In colors of hyacinth upon your window sills
And fragrance of white Lily evoking revelry
Composing gaily dulcet themed melodies
Strumming floral kisses on your sateen lips

Bell-shaped English Bluebells
Violet face of lilac landscape

Charming tints of scarlet
Exuberance of Maple Red

Red, white, upright Tulips
Preening of vibrant spring

Whistling breath of wind
Kisses swaying Daffodils

Laden droplets refracting
Gleam of rose-petal gems

Bluebird’s pine-needle nest
Home of blueish green eggs

Crocus purple flowers
Amethyst glory of jewels

Scented Lilly of the Valley
Blooming white charmers

Rainbow colors of Hyacinth
Jewels glinting window sills

Spicy fragrant Dianthus
Apex of prized decorum
