Oh, weeping willow - friend to me
                enchanting thee shall always be.
I have bequeathed secrets to thee
                whilst whispering gently to me.

Taketh comfort when hie to flee
                nature’s maddening outburst spree.
Cometh rain, shine, you hear my plea
and protect me from life’s debris.

Graceful thee stand my eyes to see
                awaiting and weeping with me.
                Seasoned branches becoming free
to kiss the ground - teardrops from thee.

                Your arching harbour so feathery;
long green leaves a pillow to me.
I rest in safety, hope, to be -
revived afore take leave of thee.

Nectar flowers that feed the bee,
bell shaped yellow, so bright to see.
Catkins fall as you give to me
a token of friendship - bless thee.

Oh, weeping willow - friend to me
                enchanting thee shall always be.
I have bequeathed secrets to thee
                whilst whispering gently to me.

Premium Member If I Were a Flower

A blossom I’ll be on the wreaths for peace
An offering to deity to feed world’s hungry
I’ll be the garden on every troubled street
Preening as gleefully as exuberant tulips
Swaying with spring in rhythms of daffodils

I’ll be the laudable bouquet of friendship
An emissary of cupid when love is elusive
A gift I’ll be, from souls of dreams romantic
I’ll be the cure when dear-heart is aching
A sensuous rose I’ll be, alluring bride to be

I’ll be sweet smile of expressions in violet
Pleasing smitten hearts on lilac landscapes
Presenting bell-shaped English bluebells
Tenderly in aura of angel’s blessed grace
I’ll be the enlightenment in lotus of solace

Lovingly I’ll answer every call of your will
In colors of hyacinth upon your window sills
And fragrance of white Lily evoking revelry
Composing gaily dulcet themed melodies
Strumming floral kisses on your sateen lips

Premium Member Spring Sonata

Take me there, where the daffodils dance,
Preening with joy, flaunting nature’s art,
Where birds have assembled to watch
Sitting atop, prancing from tips of treetops,
Tuning lyrics of cherry blossom prompts,
Strumming rhythms of spring sonata
As crimson tulips, with lilies purple waltz,
To music of willows breezing with dawn
When sun breaks through haze of clouds;

Traversing over the mountains and valleys,
Over green prairies, burbling tributaries,
Besides garden of multicolored pansies,
Amid bell-shaped bluebells, red hyacinth,
Frolicking on meadows of wild blue Iris,
Rejoicing pink blossoms of magnolia trees,
Glistening verdant knolls, lush foothills.

Take me there, where rivers meet oceans,
Merging the passions of fiery emotions
Riding with tides of romantic notions
Vying allure of love, emblazoning now;
Love that sustained in summer storms,
Love that survived through wintry wrath,
Love our souls extol, in spring’s warmth;

When I decipher your esoteric response
Where verses tender stem from my heart,
As day retreats humming nightingale’s song,
And eve’s dreams blush on magenta arc;
Take me there, my dear, where you are,
On the apex of love, on cusp of romance.

Premium Member Rhododendron

Oh! floriferous, bold, roseate ebullience of May,
Alluring doting sights welcome-vibes you convey
Gracing edges, where the roses and azaleas sway
Forming resplendent ballet of multicolored array;
O rhododendron, flamboyant in euphoric morn,
Flaunting flaming-purple how gardens you adorn
Where hummingbirds frolic and butterflies play
And bell-shaped showy blossoms greet sunny day
As jubilation of spring, breezing your realm serene,
Revels in whorls of petals pristine, as you preen,
Boasting hints amethyst on elegance evergreen
Sprinkling perfumed ambiance on tempo upbeat
Where pulse of romance strums passionate beat
Lauding floriferous display, as if a flower bouquet;
O rhododendron~ roseate, ornate beauty of May!

A young girl
with brown hair
              braided back
holds before
            her a parasol
striped in two shades of blue
     At her neck is
     the lacy collar of
an elegant long-sleeved
   Ivory colored blouse

Seen in profile
              her face is turned
slightly
           downward
as if she is
     in quiet reflection

           Behind her
is sky light blue
but directly
             in front of her
is the expanse
    of a large cloud
enveloping half the sky
  Four white butterflies
              seem to dance
behind her

One beige butterfly
  and a small blue one
have alighted on her
 bell-shaped beige skirt
swept outward
That skirt is an upside
       down lily
  floating above
       ground,
for her entire
     lower body
has become the flower
  which has lifted
toward sky and cloud!

  The maiden
 hovers above
blue dandelion-like blooms.
I imagine her f l o a t i n g off
                                 into her own
                                       imagination,
for she is as light as
      the fluff of the
strange blue dandelions
which I can imagine
blowing away
   with puffs
  of my breath
         and
       a wish

Will You Come My Love

Will you come to the great tamarind’s shade
When the noon sun sends cupid with its rays
To play hide and seek with every grass blade
I watch the path with a relentless gaze
Come my love for the world is in a daze
Wear not your anklets as you come my dear
Walk in discreet silence come have no fear

Will you come to the quick footed river
When the full moon lamp is vividly lit
yet in the clouds it seems to disappear
my feet in stream, I shall silently sit
holding a long bamboo flute to my lips
wear not jhumkas tonight, they interfere
with the tune I play only for your ears

Will you come to that broken bullock cart
when dusk lowers its veil down to the field
we shall then talk of matters of the heart
and bite gently into sugar cane's yield
till our lips meet in love and softly sealed
Wear not your coyness leave it far behind
A heart full of love you will surely find.

*jhumkas are long bell shaped earrings often worn by women in the Indian countryside.

Premium Member Fragrant Freshness

Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air:
earthy aromas waft beneath the snow;
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.

Daffodils contribute color and flair;
and as balmy breezes bashfully blow,
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air.

Snowdrifts dwindle to patches barely there;
and frozen rivers, once more start to flow,
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.

Wildflowers start sprouting up everywhere
and as daffodils, and crocuses grow,
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air.

The land no longer looks so bleak and bare:
on naked trees, green buds begin to show,
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.

A treat to the senses, scented and rare:
bell-shaped lily-of-the-valley, hang low.
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.

Poop-Tale : For Contest

POOP - TALE : for contest

No embarrassment , everyone poops
So relaxed is the feel after all 's out
No gold and riches can ever buy such feel
I am sure all will agree silently though!
We get that feel for free as nature calls

In body, poop factory is so well- fitted
Based on our lifestyle it is regulated
Frequency n' timing our habits decide
As far as we breathe , we have to poop
No matter where you are, who you are...

How many times daily varies with species and diet...
Bamboos and honey diet makes Panda bears poop,
more than a forty times in a single day !
In other species range follows bell shaped curve
A balanced input-output cycle continues..

Doctors diagnose ailments examining poop,
Sausage shape is ideal poop the doc opines..
Mothers of kids worry if they cry while they poop
Too much delay makes happy a trader in laxatives!
Night soil in fields have made a fertile land
Poop of cattle folk is a manure too good
Everyone poops and is so useful too...

Deadlines and work pressure, meetings with boss
Petty tussles with friends or your own spouse.
Ask for a break saying you need to poop
Instantly you are permitted and you may slide out
Enjoy this break behind washroom doors !!
No more shy business, everyone poops!

Engrossed in reading a suspense thriller,
Or watching the climax of a movie horror
As soon as poop siren raises alarm, you got to go!
Ultimate rule is please don't control
Happily you poop poop poop and flush out !

An Alpine Adventure

This mountain of tall firs and pines
overlooks a placid valley with a hut,
meadows of wild flowers intrigue.
Hikers go upward meeting clouds,
their adventure is kind of unique.
Bell-shaped trumpet gentians spout--
rain on the pretty flowers of the Alps.

No mountain in this region is gaudier
than the unfolding new discoveries...
boulders and cliffs with sparkling dew.
Alpinists adore mounts that are greener,
they snap lots of pictures, not a few;
below, sheep graze in open grasslands--
they shiver when the breeze gets colder.

Away from sunless and urban settings,
one feels free doing the extraordinary;
breathing an air not spoiled by smog.
Alpinists have lived here for many ages,
tending their herds watched by a dog.
The blinding sunrise ascends gleefully--
joy overwhelms the heart that dreams.

Calm valleys with wooden huts, amid mounts,
are prone to avalanches with a rapid force;
violent storms can deform the luscious green.
Locals are afraid, they pray holding hands;
strong faith may avert what could have been.
It's twilight, flowers droop looking morose;
brightness fades--an evening of sad sounds.

Endless Cruel Laughter

Sgt. Bedlam of heavy artillery reporting sir
Bedlam I want you to pick the runt of the litter
and turn him into an agent assassin
with the clandestine power of hypnotism
yes Generalissimo I am here to obey
decked out like a burlesque revue warlord
his Mauser cigar lighter on his belt
a curlicue mustache and a pie tin helmet
Opal his opium fiend gun moll squirming in his lap
was our Generalissimo
Bedlam weighed the coming abrasions
concluded we are our scars and furthermore
if adaptation is survival so is parasitism
cleared his throat noisily and bowed an exit
later that fate laden candle lit night
he made a deep study of his globes and charts
Europa Asia Oceana the Steppes the Savannah
the Scorched Hills of Malibu
a map addict re-educated in the cleanup of '89
his bell-shaped curve insisted love me
server and served a beautiful thing
if one enjoyed giant jungle arachnids and leeches
and centipedes that crawl up your butt
to lay millions of eggs when you sleep
where the laws of physics become
a tumbling burbling retinal stew
geysering steam and sulfur and mud and
where was I oh yah
yet a thing of beauty was Opal to Bedlam
he heard scratching and purring at the door
it was she incognito in an iguana skin
we must escape this hideous circus of shame
she coo coo rooed as her tongue dove into
the holy fissure in his brain
and he threw caution to the feral hogs
forgetting good posture he oozed upon Opal
I bet you think you make your own decisions
she cloyed and again he tossed caution
into a cauldron of grunting mammalian rut
for several hours perhaps the entire weekend
it's easy to rewire a human
you just give them a little epiphany
and bingo ownership
his hypnotic gambit paid off in ducats
the Generalissimo slept like a corpse
the pet centipedes concluded their labors
his ex-kingdom rejoiced at their new liberty
and that's anarchy for ya

Premium Member Bluebells In Springtime

Emily Bronte makes her mark
speaking of the sweet bluebell
in its power shows its blossom
one can't help but go and tell

Springtime in the UK brings them out
the bluebell has a lovely scent
which hangs in the air so heavily
from bell-shaped flowers heavenly sent

The bluebell symbolises something great
humility, gratitude, constancy and everlasting love
this was loved by the Victorians so much
to them it was a language never enough

Folklore showed about bluebell woods
fairies there we're told would ring
so the fairies would be gathered
whether believing this what would it bring

In the UK there's over half that's in the world
recently the bluebell voted UK's favourite wildflower
so colourful with a lovely shade of blue
feeding on the moisture receives in the morning hour

( have written this piece about the lovely Bluebell that blooms in spring here in the UK.)

Premium Member Lily-Of-The-Valley

I am quite a peculiar sort,
My fragrant blooming days are short.

My petite petals well bell shaped,
In virgin, pristine white they’re draped.

I’m famed in myths and legends’ scope -
Symbol of happiness and hope.

Disclaimer:
Beware beautiful butterfly,
There’s more to me than meets the eye:
My intense scent however sweet,
Not designed as a nectar treat.
