Epochal courses a tamed countryside,
Spectacle sparkles glowing trees and boughs,
Pedestal weights and measures counter slide,
Sensible enshrine flexible reigned bows.

A sentinel taps chords and ivories,
The typical lose blues and notes the muse,
The miracle resonates mute carries,
A mythical being awaits its dues.

As Bach spirited his classical piece,
Some brought heart and soul, yet their ears came first,
Has God Heaven sent his blesseth song sheets,
Glass box reveals harmonic sharp verses.

Gentle-deft barters simply and ables,
Treble Clef and all the rest, well arranged,
Level weft swaps light, keyboard, and pedals,
Special, left Bach's masterful skills remained,

Premium MemberDefinite Dinah does not Change Her Mind

Definite Dinah definitely doesn’t change her mind
Ferociously feeling firm in all ideas, she will find
Kids maneuver around her; she is not awfully kind
When she bargains and barters, it is legally bind

We saw Dinah debating where we usually dined
Warning the waiter she almost never will change her mind
He appreciates the heads up; said we were kind.
I notice his palm is unusually magically star-lined.
He is a find, says Dinah, he truly is one of a kind.

Premium MemberOverworked Witches

What's a single mom, overworked witch to do?
School potlucks won't suck up fat vats of witch brew
Green goop soup disinfects science projects
Magic wand deflects coupon blonde's rejects

Soccer field congealed, frogs in fish tanks
Your warlock son mocks the jocks with dark pranks
Your daughter barters love potions, your cat's a Clydesdale
Your cauldron is maudlin; no time for witchy cocktails

There's hearses to disperse, fortunes to curse
Restless pests - even witches need a nurse!
You've cobwebs to thread, graves to rake
Sugar greedy goblins to scare straight

No spells to swell your apothecary
Your broomstick's picked other places to be...

Kelso At Anchor

Kelso has a boat
smeared to the gunnels,
with cawk and greasy weeds.

At a prow of dawn
he hauls dripping lobster,
and their pots
up the scummy steps
of the silty stone harbor,
pushing a barrow
into the towns brick narrows.

Kelso barters claws and tails
to barkeeps, crab-mongers,
to fish wives and their
salty daughters.

At close of day
he returns
to the bight, the bitty harbor,
to eats mackerel
from a spray-seasoned skillet.

Then Kelso lays back
with his reeky brown dog
and smokes a care-free
funky blue fog.

Fury

turning inside a cage
despair barters hope to seethe
wraith's beating fists heavy beneath
vicious growls a threat of means
the ominous promise to break free
baleful sounds from a fiend
inspire violent screams
jaded eyes weep in time to see
depravity’s push to crawl and seek
momentum winding tight to need
sparks fly for rage to breath
a lust to hunt crouches discreet
the hunger for fury no longer sleeps
despair barters hope to seethe
turning inside a cage

Storm Warning

Closer now
closer than we’ve ever been
as tyrannies anthem
drive us all insane

Closer now
closer to the grand genocidal of our history
this screaming civilian
barters a blood transfusion for economy

So much closer now
the dark slaughterhouse of all our love
it’s comedy of save me, sell me, give me, have me, sold me in security
is a tax relief to start a family

There’s a distant rumble undefinable
shuddering through those warning hairs
collide the squawking geese of nightmares
a breath upon the neck of fear

So much closer now
closer than we’ve ever been
as the glorious dirge of automaton
silences everyones scream

Closer than we’ve ever been
to the inglorious, vainglorious goal

A storm warning wails its danger pitch
vaccine needles drip, drip by drip by infant drip
into the dark age of the human soul
into the dead ends deadlock

So close now
so very close
a strangers breath hot upon the neck
whispers in a nightmare
“ don’t worry, you really don’t have anything to fear ”

Premium MemberThe Reaction To His Poetry

it tastes like spoiled chunky year old milk
from a broken wine glass
left in a burning shack
hidden deep within a green forest
barricaded by a black haunting mountain
i mean my old lover's mansion
at least it was spacious to me..

and it tasted like something..

it tastes like he brought my love as barters beg for freedoms
inexpensive love
bruises from broken wine glasses love
nurturing and nutritious
spoiled
free-falling on the Milky Way
love
tastes similar and simplified to doves taking flight
love that breathes life
love that hides
that bobs and weaves
love that survives
but i am sick from spoiled chunky year old milk
and tastes disappear

for his poetry is all that i hear..

thunderous
and inharmonic

rainfall is all that i heard..
rainfall is all that i heard..

Searching

The search for the silver lining
is often in vain
when seeking the light
within the pouring rain.
Not all barters
offer gain
nor is there answers
for all life's pains.

To live within
and through some storms
is just a lesson
in being reborn.
Always reaching
for intangible threads
finding the right one
before we are dead.

Each search is a journey
when answers we seek
not for the timid,
the angered or weak.
Questioning events
is a normal response
when one feels abandoned
and the heartache of loss.

Premium MemberObservations

Light streams
Darkness dispersed;
Colours deliberate

~~~~~~~~~
Dawn arrives
Calmly magnificent;
Joy feels vivid
~~~~~~~~~

Morning permutations
Clockwork agenda rolls;
Memory and rote

~~~~~~~~~
Tensile strength barters
Testing argument collides;
Taut tempers flare
~~~~~~~~~

Moments of unease
Words in wrong order;
Conflagration attends

~~~~~~~~~
Late night excursions
Unfinished business;
Graffiti messy enough
~~~~~~~~~

Sit here and wait
Words missing voice;
No output now

~~~~~~~~~
So many things to say
Intuitive feel ventures;
Words weave wise wit
~~~~~~~~~

Uneasy glimpses
Dream within a dream;
Echoes electrocute

~~~~~~~~~
Cynic or skeptic
Wordy paradox;
Not much to say
~~~~~~~~~

Wedding dinner fare
Lovely banquet here;
Sanguine stylish smiles

~~~~~~~~~
Premium MemberLonely Together
Morning delight
Fiery sunburst;
Elegant conversation
This paradox
Black upon white;
Yin-Yang contrast
Busy street corner
Each person alone;
Crowded solitude
Mall spectators
Browsing and looking;
Yet not seeing
I style a smile
To greet a stranger;
Sparkling sunburst
Valentine shoppers
Seeking to buy;
Love now barters
October
Oh, to mourn the death of a season
Causing dread for the prediction of nature
Trampling through leaves plummeted from glory
Overt manipulations of human emotions
Barters the time of years gone by
Everlasting cycles of gain and loss
Remembrance eases the transition
