Iconic through the years
Herald Square fascination
Macy’s Herald Square
A store that everyone explores
Tourist and shopper alike can’t ignore
Merchandise assortments on every floor
Brands after brands galore
Known throughout the land
Some in hot demand
Only one Escalator or Elevator ride
Macy’s the Renaissance
Always gets the consumer response
The Herald Square store alone covers the entire block from Broadway to Seventh Avenue
Compulsive credit card spends
The bill will come at the end
Fashion with passion
Store stock sensation
Shop until you drop
Pace yourself
Just be satisfied
Don’t say you weren’t warned
Your credit card statement
Payment in the task to fulfill
Macy’s Star
You will be the celebrity shopper thus far.

Premium Member GUM DROP PRINCIPLE

Gum drops are like Races of all people
Assortments of all shapes and sizes
Small components with sugar rush
Flavorful and tasteful
The end result being delightful
Feeling of content and well pleased
It’s not the color
It’s the association, acquaintance and friendship feel
Without the association there is connection
It’s the heart felt loving paying attention
Total experience of sensation
Gum Drops uplift
Relating to Race with no hush
Sense of savor and fulfillment
The aroma that follows and extends into goodness
Taste of the taste
Quality leaving no waste

One Macaron

Just look at the art of these
cloud-like rows of conics—
what if just one macaron
holds the art too of what
we do not dare say?

We are sugary shells…anticipating…
crumbling…….. like moments……
—suspended between cream and craving—

we almost speak of it!
—assortments of unspeakables—
but we don’t.

A Glider

On the back porch is a glider;
I can sit on it and glide.
It’s just perfect for relaxing
When I want to be outside.

Don’t confuse it with a rocker,
Though they both cause you to move,
Since a rocking chair takes effort,
Like it’s got something to prove

But the glider keeps on going
Once you’ve given it a start.
There are those, though, who still claim
That they can’t tell the two apart.

For to many, like my husband,
Neither one do they prefer.
When they sit down to relax,
They want no movement to occur.

That’s why stores that feature seating
Have assortments to provide
Chairs and couches that just sit there,
Plus the ones that rock and glide.

Plucking from the gardens of spring,
Blossoms of each floral offspring;
Threading them into fine bouquet,
Adorning on an empty tray;
On them, I ruminate...

These diverse leaves of the autumn,
I collect from each tree-bottom;
Place in a basket finely-laced,
Like stars, contiguously spaced;
On them, I meditate...

Colorful corals from seashore,
I zealously gather and store;
Within embellished crystal-case,
As though pearls of heavenly grace;
On them, I cogitate...

Assortments of precious gem stones,
Amassing from galaxy zones;
I claw-set into lovely styles,
Like million luminary smiles;
On them, I contemplate...

Premium Member Nature's Scenery

The outdoors
Mysterious sounds
The animals, the rivers, the greenery
The fragrances that breeze in air
Maples, evergreens
Leaves; fallen
Trees...too!

Birds singing
Owl's- hootin'
Colonies of ants, spider webs- galore
Fields of flowers- assortments of hues
Broken boulders
Rumbling rocks
Mountainous views

Bumble bees...
And butterflies
Fruits, berries...on trees and vines
Echoes of sticks and branches- cracking
Morning's mists
Evening's dews
Nighttime's shadows

Eclectic Collect It

collections show facets to me
assorted pieces hail history
recollections kept deep inside
where irrational follies hide

motley montages, memories
my collections, things that please
miscellaneous, sorts of stuff
put on shelves to gather dust

various items mingle mixed up
me, I drink from a colorful cup
assortments, sterling junk
filling my titanic trunk

sundry items I stow away
reminisce a bygone day
distinct diverse similarly same
trophies of an ill-played game

complimentary, thank the house
many swiped by an itinerant louse
gratis free without charge
relics befitting an Egyptian barge

diverse predictable mixes
homogenized random pickup sticks
similar in dissimilar ways
homage only an owner pays

collected eclectic on different days
rewards for a divergent gaze
beauty beheld in many possessions
mirrored reflections, oblique obsessions

The Passenger

City life turns to sparse assortments;
Of local pubs and country homes.
Tall brick walls fade into fences;
Amongst hedgerows and mossy stones.

Crowded bustle soon lowers its pace;
Those now free, move unconfined.
Only thoughts spent are of contentment,
Peaceful surroundings heal the mind.

As roads turn to paths unbeaten,
Dipping and climbing, alongside the fields.
Views everchanging, revelling new pastures,
Filled full of beauty from treasures they yield.

Awaking from the brief city escape,
Thoughts soon creep back to the hubbub.
Before it all end though, the passenger pleads,
Can we go for a pint at the pub?

Premium Member Married To Poetry

A galaxy of thoughts...
Influential notaries donated
Given to me; freely...
I am most grateful
Educating me, the reader...
I am a learned man
Taking in all that is offered...
I relish the amenities, assortments...gifts
Pleasurable reads comfort my soul
Whilst in solitude...
On quiet lonely nights...
My mind metamorphizes
From a world of hell...
Into a world of peacefulness
Intrigued be'ith my soul...
as the ink spills
Whetten my palms...
stain them eternal, seduce me...
Undress me with your pen
For I...
For I am an easy get
Poetry and me...…………….I do

From 'Hearty Racket' To Happy Banter

They have in their senses,
A bloated self-image worthy of pulling the best.
Letter-assortments, their sense, they knew not,
Yet march on with leaps of obstinacy to brim.
Subtly aided by the fairest in all,
Visualed only due to sacrifice of self
So maintained, would ever beget close but forget house.
Once the camaraderie drew to lilting curtain
Harsh truth waded in, silently loud undertones to company,
Inasmuch as it ever could in.
Known hell hath no fury..
That of men’s remain shrouded till,
A dawn unto desperation.
Did they unleash latent hate gusts!
Sure eroded escorts pumps to barren fields.
The entire saga into the past,
The series opens to a new pilot
For two, lived in eternal hope,
Finally reaching union, taking rope.

Premium Member For Love's Sake

Bits of wool, bits of lace,
Driftwood piled all over the place.
Seashells and flowers too,
Nails, clasps and a variety of glue.

Crafts of every shape and size
Created right before your eyes.
This is how I spend my day.
Built with love to give away.

I have a crafty side to me.
Step inside, you will see
Totes and shelves piled high
With assortments for me to try.

Whether 'hobbit houses' or
Flower bouquets by the score,
I feel at peace when I make
Beautiful crafts, for love's sake.

Dessert

When I think of decadent desserts
it assails my senses and I go berserk
tantalizing, surprising, flavors entice beyond compare
staring at the compilation of assortments are so unfair

So many to choose from
I stop and stare
what do I do
I turn to you and follow you through

hot and flavorful my senses bemoan
these tasty morsels are for the full-grown
taunting and teasing heart palpitates on a roll
spiraling and spinning until it's tantamount and out of control

expecting the taste to burn into my mind
as I try to find some balance not to define
was dessert all you expected it to be
the climatic source of ecstasy

let me now reminisce the taste of flavor
actuating in my brain
every time I taste of the dessert
it will remind me again and again

this is serious biz
dessert is good and it is what it is
